Mdrrrr Kisaki please call the police there is something wrong at play 😬 but I feel like kisaki would be the last person Takemichi would actually reveal the secret to (in a non takekisa setting) with his general distrust of him. And yes the inherent power imbalance because I keep imagining little Kisaki with an idol worship for takemichi (the one he already had a bit with the whole stalking side quest but now x100) because he is kisaki's first friend, the one who introduced him to all of his other friends, the one who tells him what he must and must not do, and kisaki has no other point of reference so if he feels uncomfortable with his actions he doesn't know if it's a normal thing or not. Like.
And then Mikey! His relationship with Sanzu is honestly so weird because that's the guy who he spent three years killing other people with, who enabled him and worshipped him in equal measures but also the guy who probably knew his brother the most and now he's a kid, still admiring Mikey but it's even weirder now, still one-sided but Mikey can't help but try to be nice to him except it's only giving sanzu hope and not allowing him to move one. And Mikey is the type to never put boundaries in a weird self punishing way because I feel like he feels he owes it to him but he's actually not helping sanzu, thats a whole ass kid that NEEDS those very boundaries (I need to order my thoughts and include that in the Mikey post. Hm).
And then Mikey with Kisaki!( it always comes back to him with me) because he literally killed his sister in front of him?? And we are supposed to believe Mikey just moves on like that. Especially when Kisaki gets the tan and bleach and looks exactly the way he used to -mikey might even not met him with dark hair, who knows.
Oh yeahhhh I want to talk more about taiju and hakkai and yuzuha because how the fuck did takemichi saying "hitting your siblings is not good! 😁👍" result in taiju being like "shit he's right. My bad." I mean. Please. It doesnt erase Taiju's whole obsession with catholicism, his pathological need for control and his anger issues??
I dont understand izana in the last til in canon tbh. Did Shin still not tell him anything about Mikey and Emma? Did he still hide that he knew Izana wasn't related to him? That was a pretty fucked up thing to say, and I read the post you reblogged about him and it is soooo right there is something wrong with that guy. Nevermind killing a homeless guy in cold blood for a supposed time traveling gift like what was that all about. Need to reread that part.
Nice detail to catch tho! Kazutora and Chifuyu's relationship would have been rocky at first. And his mental health issues would be reduced from not killing Shin but the way he was completely delusional in the og tl is still something that doesn't add up (I hate the curse excuse with a passion. It takes out all of the complexity of those characters. Like in fluffy stories it's definitely a practical plot point -I've used it- but if you want something angsty it is Out)

@gratuiciel tbh I wonder how they even met. Probably Kisaki's trying to find strong people for Toman and he hears of the reaper of Kabukicho. But how do Takemichi and Mikey react to that?
The two of them are even worse than Kisaki alone in bringing up unwanted memories. I feel like final timeline Kisaki would kind of be perceived as a timebomb by the maitake duo, they unconsciously treat his actions with the veneer of the actions he hasn't done. Plus his personality is still the same, he can still do the worst things to reach his goals, and they are probably so uncomfortable with that. Trying to rein him in, quell any desire for power. But is it power? Because Kisaki didn't do all of that for the sake of power, he did it for love. Does Takemichi think about that, when Kisaki (maybe) moves on from Hinata? That he could find someone else to get obsessed with, and do the same things he's done in every previous timeline. So unintentionally (or not if you want to go dark <- yum) they destroy his attempts at finding love/acceptance because he could fall in that same pit.
Enter Hanma, who's the incarnation of not giving a fuck about proper boundaries and rules, breaking every principle maitake tried to instil in Kisaki. And with Kisaki so deprived of affection, still so lonely and with no goal to distract himself, he would be so enclined to get interested in Hanma. Because I feel like Hanma would still find that little loser interesting, with his mask of arrogance and his empty position in Toman, how his group of "friends" don't even appreciate him but won't let him reach out to anyone else.
And Takemichi wouldn't like that influence on Kisaki, would try to get them as far apart as possible. Maybe that's why Hanma is a photographer who spends most of his time outside Japan as an adult? Idk there's something in there.
