what builds is Sethos (Genshin) good for

(i got sethos recently and haven't built him yet so i had to look up his kit, if any of this is inaccurate my apologies)

sethos is a good sub-dps or budget/4* dps in reaction based comps! his damage scales with elemental mastery, and from my understanding of his kit, he's a reaction-based razor.

he's played basically the same as razor, just use skill until you have his ult, and set up reactions so his ult state(which he needs to be on-field for) does big number electro-infusion. important to note that his infusion damage scales solely with his EM, so crit isn't as important.

now onto my reccommended build!

weapon:

sethos' best in slot is without a doubt the stringless. i haven't found a 5* weapon that really has the same effect, and you really don't need a 5* weapon on sethos anyway. i really can't in good conscience reccommend anything other than the stringless.

artifacts:

any 4pc EM set will do, but in order of best to next best, i recommend Wanderer's Troupe>Gilded Dreams>Desert Pavilion Chronicle.

as for substats, just stack as much EM as possible, with a secondary priority on ER, and then some ATK to round him out.

teams:

sethos' best teams are any reaction focused ones, specifically with off-field application supports. i think overload, electro-charged, and aggravate/quicken are probably his best reactions, so i'll be reccommending teams to focus on that.

overload team:

-sethos

-cheveruse

-bennett

-xiangling(can be swapped for xinyan/thoma if you feel the need for a shielder)

electro-charged team:

-sethos

-furina

-xingqiu

-mona(can be swapped for kokomi/barbara if you feel the need for a healer)

aggravate/quicken team:

-sethos

-nahida

-collei/yaoyao

-baizhu(can be swapped for kirara if you prefer a shielder over healer)

the general constant around these teams is that sethos should be the only one applying electro. his skill allows him to act as his own battery, and any other electro unit would only take reactions away that sethos could be triggering for big damage. so that being said, the main downside of sethos is that he cannot be run with raiden shogun. however, if you don't have her i guess that really isn't a problem.

👋 Heyy I know you play Star Rail too so I wanted to know what quests you prioritised? I recently started playing again and I thought finishing the main quests before getting to the side quests but now I'm not so sure the way my ass is getting beat by these enemies especially those swarm bugs in Ruan Mei's quest💀 so maybe i should finish them off b4 the world level gets too high? What do you think?

Took a while to get to this but yeah:

You should get up to date in the main quests, as the events as of late are requiring you to finish the latest main story mission in order to play through them

It's really important for the current event if you don't have that many characters, since there's a free 4* selector not applicable anymore lol

If you're having trouble with main quests, try and focus on getting a good core team: One DPS, one support, and 2 sustainers or a sustainer and a support if your team is tanky enough (the main sustainer should be a healer cuz free preservation options are kinda not great)

Good DPS that you can get without pulling rn are Dr. Ratio, Herta, Qingque, and Dan Heng

Good free Supports are Asta and Yukong

Good free Sustains are Fire MC and Lynx (though for Lynx you need to unlock Pure Fiction and clear at least two stages), if you don't have Lynx then Natasha works just fine

Focus on leveling in this priority: Character Level > Traces > Light Cone Level > Relics (Good Main Stats) > Relics (Good Main and Sub stats)

Don't grind relics until you're AR45 though, you should get by with free relics from treasure chests or quests until then

But, what is the custom orders catalogue? Well, I am glad you asked, imaginary person! The custom orders catalogue... is a lot of different things to be honest! So let me break down what you get in each "package" lsdknsdj

The "battlesuit" is the basic package that turns your OC or muse of choice into a playable character, themed in my game universe [where Bianca's character actually originates from!]. This package includes a base battlesuit tier, a base battlesuit name, a role [DPS, Support, healer, etc], an element and two to four extra core strengths, a weapon type, and a series of skills [A leadership skill, passive, evasion tactic, basic ATK, combo ATK, and an ultimate skill] ! Of course, if you have any ideas you'd like to have Bianca consider, send them in the ask!

The second package is a full character package, which gets you a battlesuit + their signature weapon and signature MODULES [similar to artifacts! But much less painful lol]!

The third package comes with everything in the second character package, plus the battlesuit's lore, role in the overarching storyline of darkside [the ingame universe these battlesuits are set in] and a secondary form for their signature weapon.

Outfits are tricky, because a battlesuit comes with a default outfit, but you can always "order" a new outfit based on a certain theme... but you can only order an outfit AFTER ordering a battlesuit! These outfits will typically change different things about the character depending on the tier [look, special effects, ultimate, etc.]

Next package is the AVATAR package! This package comes in two tiers! The basic tier just includes a title and their intended roles, as well as skill overview. The advanced tier includes all that, as well as story/voicelines! If you've ordered a battlesuit and are ordering a AVATAR to support them, there's a little extra bits for you...

And cores... cores are typically reserved for lower tier suits, and grant new skills and at their max level, a new outfit for the battlesuit! It also comes with it's own exclusive lore and story. These automatically come with the battlesuits if the tier is low enough to warrant one! Typically these battlesuits must be an A rank or lower.

"Ordering" from the catalogue is really easy! All you have to do is send an ask tagging/referencing your blog and the desired OC [if you have multiple OCs you'd like to send in, send them as different asks please! You can send in as many OCs in the orders, but only one OC per order, so Bainca can keep it organized!] alongside the package you'd like! You can send it as an OOC ask to me, or as an IC ask to Bianca! And now the package names and contents, for easy reference! I like to do this in my free time, I am a nerd. Final Fantasy Record Keeper Final Fantasy XIV Dreams Dungeon

Currently, in the Final Fantasy Record Keeper (FFRK) mobile game, there are time-limited missions associated with clearing a Final Fantasy XIV Cardia Dungeon quest.

IIRC, you need to clear a FF14 Cardia Dungeon quest 5 times and with at least 3 chars who are from Final Fantasy XIV in order to get all the rewards.

The Final Fantasy XIV Dreams Dungeon Infernal fight is quest level 350. Since I haven’t done this quest yet, decided to try clearing this now.

Don’t have a lot of relics that belong to Final Fantasy XIV chars though so I decided to do this fight with 2 off-realm chars.

Of course, one of my off-realm chars was Genesis Rhapsodos from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.

Currently, Genesis is one of my absolute, most favorite chars in Final Fantasy VII (#ad). He’s the reason why I’m playing Final Fantasy Record Keeper.

Have all of his relics and I bring him everywhere I can, even to fights with enemies that resist the fire element (Genesis is a physical fire DPS).

Genesis served as my main and only DPS. He’s a physical fire elemental attacker, which was why I brought Balthier to support him.

Balthier has a fire Chain Soul Break which buffs fire damage and increases the party’s attack. He can also imperil the fire element, which will further increase Genesis’s damage output.

Cid Garlond from Final Fantasy XIV

I don’t have any of Cid Garlond’s relics. Only brought him along because he can use Wrath and Entrust. Had Cid Entrust his gauges to Balthier so he can juggle between casting his Chain and his imperil USB.

Also had Cid Entrust his gauges to Y’shtola so she can keep on casting her USB to heal the party.

Alphinaud Leveilleur from Final Fantasy XIV

Have Alphinaud Leveilleur’s AASB, Glint+ and Burst. Too bad I’m missing his Sync.

Alphinaud does very well on my magical wind elemental team but here on this fight, his damage was rather subpar since I didn’t really have anything to support him.

Y’shtola Rhul from Final Fantasy XIV

Like with Cid, I don’t have anything for Y’shtola Rhul either. Had to lens her Secret of the Lily USB though because she’s acting as my healer.

Had to equip Y’shtola with Hastega since I don’t have any other sources for Haste. Her second slot has Curada for more healing. She did well enough but I definitely would have preferred to bring along my usual healers.

My Magicite deck and passives consisted of the following:

Odin (Ultra Attack) (Lord’s Seal: Ice only though) - Blade Ward and Spell Ward

Shiva - Health Boon and Healing Boon

Ifrit - 2 Empower Fire

Madeen - Attack Boon and Deadly Strikes

Madeen - Health Boon and Fast Act

Managed to win. Even got sub-30 with the fight ending at 22.36 seconds. Genesis did really well as my main DPS. Everyone else did well enough too.

Super pleased to have been able to use Genesis on a fight where it was preferable to go in with a full realm team.

You’re heavily encouraged to clear fights in the Cardia Dungeons by fielding a full party made up of chars that belong to the same realm because there are penalties the more off-realm chars you bring.

So to be able to bring my fave Genesis to these fights as an off-realm char and still be able to win is really super special awesome.

OK, I’ll do my best. 

Noelle has exactly one way to build her for Abyss-level combat: Get her to C6 (yes), then build has a DPS. (If you’re talking in general, then you can use her as a cheap shielder/healer by just stacking DEF and ER.) 

Best weapon options are Whiteblind (craftable DEF claymore), Serpent Spine (BP claymore), and Redhorn (Itto’s weapon). 

Best artifact sets are Glad 4pc and Husk 4pc, with Husk being somewhat notably better but hellishly hard to get a good full set of. (I don’t have one lol)

Her team would generally be: 

1) Itto-style mono geo with Gorou and Albedo/Zhongli/Yun Jin in the third slot, and 4th slot as either elemental applier for shields (if necessary) or one of the previous and maaaaybe Ningguang as a sub DPS/battery. I use this team for Floor 11, though it doesn’t generally output enough for Floor 12 due to various issues with my builds and bad rotation skills.  

2) Double Geo with a second Geo (Gorou or Zhongli most likely, maybe Albedo) for the Geo resonance, and then a two character sub DPS core to provide additional damage. I’ve seen stuff like Fischl-Beidou, Fischl/Beidou-Xingqiu, double hydro, etc. I’ve never run this myself, but you can find videos of it. 

To run down the basics of how and why, Noelle converts DEF into ATK during her burst and infuses Geo. With C6, she gets additional DEF conversion on her burst, which raises her overall damage. On top of the damage and utility gains from her other cons, this makes C6 Noelle... not ideal as a DPS, but at least viable. You can then stack the general Geo buffs on her. Gorou is great for his DEF and Geo buffs, Albedo benefits from Gorou and provides extra damage, Zhongli shreds Geo with his shield and also helps keep 100% shield uptime in order to proc Geo resonance, which also shreds Geo (these are the only two sources of Geo shred in the game, so you really want them) and gives you DMG bonus... as long as you have a shield. Noelle does have shield herself, but it has only 50% uptime. 

Jean is very flexible, but it also means her specific build will depend on what you’re doing with her. In general, you’ll probably build her with 4pc Viridescent Veneer, the famous VV artifact that can shred any element the user swirls. It also increases Anemo damage and swirl damage. 

Between VV and healing, Jean is an okay choice for any non-Geo team, though she’s considered less beneficial than Kazuha, Venti and Sucrose for not having grouping and not sharing EM or whatever. 

You might ask whether to build her with full EM or ATK/DMG/Crit, and the answer is it depends. Just do whichever is easiest. (I actually, shamefully, have her on ER sands lol)

A few teams that can use her: 

Xiao battery and healing. If you don’t have Xiao, ignore this. 

Healing/shred combo for taser. You can guess how this works, since taser is very flexible in general.

You can also build Jean with Noblesse 4pc if the VV shred is not as relevant, for example in Eula teams. 

The famous Sunfire. This is when you use Bennett burst, and then put Jean burst on top of it right away. Bennett applies pyro to the onfield character, Jean applies anemo to the on field character, which causes you to swirl pyro off yourself. Since swirl is AOE, this means you can apply pyro onto enemies this way, as long as they are close to you. (You generally build Jean with EM here, but most important thing is having enough ER for your burst.) But note that it’s the most Circle Impact possible, so it doesn’t work too well against enemies that run around a whole bunch, since they’ll often end up out of range. Obviously, once you apply the pyro, you want a hydro or cryo unit to vape/melt off of it. 

Diluc is a pyro DPS, so he has the standard options: 

Vape with Xingqiu. The other two slots will be some general support options like Bennett, VV Anemo, maybe a shield. 

Melt with at least 2 cryos. I honestly can’t tell you which combinations of Cryo characters will work, since you have to consider the very specific details of their elemental application. I’ve seen Rosaria+Diona used in videos. You might be able to do Rosaria-Kaeya, if they don’t apply enough for him to melt, they’ll do the melting instead, which isn’t unworkable. Or just go Diluc’s worst nightmare of Rosaria-Kaeya-Diona lol. The last slot would generally be an Anemo VV. 

Mono pyro. This is very specifically Bennett, Xiangling, Kazuha. 

You would build him with 4pc Crimson Witch, or if you can’t get the full set, 2pc Crimson Witch/2pc 18% atk set (Gladiators, etc). The sands can be either EM or ATK. EM can be a good choice if he’s melting or vaping, for up to about 200 EM. His weapon should be something with Crit, EM or ATK substat. 

He absolutely can do Abyss even now, and I can link videos of it. The power of Pyro element can’t be underestimated. 

For fun, I’ve also seen him used as a burgeon trigger, so that’s very lol

Kaeya is a bit tough to pin down because he CAN be used in Abyss teams, but he’s generally a flex option. 

He can be a second Cryo in freeze teams, as a battery and elemental applicator. Note that Kaeya’s elemental application is fairly sparse tho. 

You can make him carry in a freeze team using Shenhe to boost his damage. Generally, you’d run him with another cryo DPS to share the damage output (Rosaria or Chongyun probably) and probably someone like Mona or Kazuha to boost the damage even more. 

He runs in reverse melt teams with Xiangling, Bennett, and Rosaria. This is the option generally mentioned if you need two 4 star teams and Xingqiu is on the other side. 

He can be Cryo in a Phys team. 

Obviously if you invest enough in his build, he can be main DPS himself, whether Cryo or Phys. I’ve seen this. But that’s kinda rough to get that level of investment, so if you want to DPS him, you probably need strong supports to buff him (ie, Shenhe, Kazuha).

in abyss i try to put them in reverse order so that it starts in the order i need to set up in but i have to focus real hard then or i will be spam pressing 1 and wondering why im not changing to my dps but my dps is in slot 4

My favorite cutscene is definitely still the Lantern Rite--the one where Xiao's sitting on the hill just outside of Liyue Harbor, looking up with awe at the thousands of glittering lanterns filling the sky.

It makes me tear up because...even through his millennia of living, that was the very, very first time that he let himself enjoy something for the sake of enjoying it--not because it reminds him of anything, not because it is his duty. And also because it was, in part, a tribute to one of his friends who has long since passed. Ahhhh just thinking about it I'm (':

I'm pretty picky with how my comps are ordered-

For the most part, I'll put characters in this order: Healer, Sub Support, Main Support, DPS. This only changes if there's a dedicated shield character or if the team is predominantly supports built w/ DPS capabilities (all sword team).

The only exceptions are the all polearm team--because there isn't a healer and instead there are two supports, one skill/burst support, and one DPS--and the all bow team because Venti inexplicably feels like a 'second slot' character to me. I don't have an explanation for it ehe

All Sword Team

Overall, a pretty solid team! There's lots of flexibility due to Qiqi's healing and Albedo's crystalize shields as well as Traveler being able to switch to different elements. Very dependable. Kazuha's there because I love his playstyle--probably has my favorite playstyle above all other characters nodnod

9/10 for versatility and bonus point for Albedo

All Claymore Team

Lots of possibilities for reactions! Namely melt + Overloaded which both are big damage reactions. Unfortunately, there aren't any hydro claymores...but if there were, I'd put them on this team because Chongyun's skill + hydro mean permafreeze. Slap on physical build Xinyan and mannn this team would destroy. Also you can get electro charge w/ hydro electro which is good dot nodnod

8/10 because a hydro character would be better

All Polearm Team

Man, this team would be really good too...Why didn't I think of this sooner?? Overloaded as is does pretty big damage, not to mention you can easily just switch to Raiden, Xiangling, and Zhongli for their skill before switching back to Xiao and just going to town-

7/10 because Xiao's passive HP loss with his Q as well as Zhongli's skill and Raiden's bright ring of purple effect visibility

All catalyst Team

Another that's pretty focused on reactions! Luckily, catalysts give reliable and consistent application of elements because...well, the attacks themselves are only elemental. I actually have nearly no experience w/ Lisa because I got Beidou really early on and used her in tandem with Kaeya for superconduct so I don't have much to say-

Also because of the four characters, I only have one actually built and only use her once in a while (Sucrose).

8/10 because stamina drain is a big problem and my experience w/ a catalyst based team tends towards having to bunnyhop because my stamina bar is empty. But also in this case, Kokomi would def help w/ her healing

All Bow Team

Ahhh yes yes this would be a fun team. You have the possibility to proc melt or reverse melt (which deals more damage than melt), you get a shield, healing, cc, and also have a great aim/charge shot person (Amber) as well as a great auto attack person (Yoimiya). Not to mention the pyro resonance giving that attack boost.

The only downside is that, apart from Venti, the team is very 1-target based. However, Yoimiya alone does enough damage for that to not really be a problem.

Do you have any advice for Arknights like completing levels and stuff because I find myself somewhat stuck on episode 2 and I don't really have a proper idea of what kind units I need and not like specific characters but like guard nd sniper that kind of stuff

I can make a longer piece of this if you like anon (I just have some critical classwork to finish today so I can’t be immediately as in-depth as I’d like to be) but my general tips:

1) The three star units the game yeets at your head, while not as exciting per se to develop as higher rarity units, are significantly easier and cheaper to level, and from them you can always have a solid core of a team. The 2*s tend to be for more clutch/unique plays, as they fall into the ‘weaker but skilled’ category, e.g. Durin’s dodge, Ranger’s anti-air mastery, Noir Corne being an incredibly low cost block-3 unit, especially as you get more tokens from recruitment.

2) Said units also serve as something of ‘intro’ to the archetypes within each class of Operator, and understanding when to use them will help you analyse usage for higher rarity units in the same category. e.g. Fang serves as a balanced, in terms of attack and defense, vanguard, while Vanilla goes hard into attack and is a bit squishier. Melantha is your first duelist/assassin guard, meant to deal with high priority targets. If you don’t mind some reading, clicking on the class names on tvtropes will lead to a mini-breakdown of the sub-archetypes in each.

3) Speaking very generally deployment order is going to probably be something like Vanguards to generate DP, snipers/slow supporters to help with killing early enemies, healers to keep everyone alive, casters/aoe snipers as your big guns, block-3 guards/defenders to draw aggro. This is probably the ‘core’ deployment order, with variations according to map needs. Develop units with this in mind and you’ll have a strong foundation.

4) People have some very good low rarity stage clear guides! KyostinV and Eckogen probably come to mind first for most (I favour Eckogen slightly more because Kyostin doesn’t always edit vids to be ‘just’ a working clear and doesn’t cut runs that didn’t work, which means sometimes you’ll need to backtrack if you’re following exactly and he makes a mistake, but watching both certainly doesn’t hurt if you’re trying to develop your own strats and understanding). Trying to connect what they’re doing with your knowledge of the units’ archetypes will help you grow your understanding. Other notables: Dreamy, who does some excellent work breaking down units among other things, and Just3c, who has a whole playlist that includes resources and advice for getting better at Arknights.

5) Longterm, developing for versatility will give you a lot more breathing room than just focusing a power hitter in each sub-archetype. e.g. Saria absolutely hits above any other healing defender, and her calcification is Appropriately Bananas, but Nearl’s E2 passive of bolstering all healing is nothing to sneeze at.

so basically all the hermits are allogenes, or have visions, in this au :D. visions are the things that give people their elemental power, and it's really easy to tell who has a vision because they look like anime protagonists

the types of visions are anemo/wind, cryo/ice, dendro/plants, electro/electricity, geo/earth, hydro/water, and pyro/fire. currently there are no dendro characters in the game, however according to a leak i saw that may be changing soon

ive worked out most of who has what vision and what weapon each of them use, im just struggling a bit on those who i don't watch as much

but some of my favorites are

- mumbo the electro catalyst user, who's main role is a shield :D

- grian the pyro claymore (big sword) user who's a main dps

- joe the hydro catalyst (book/orb type thing) user who's a main dps and his elemental skill is called 'the jhost' where he drains HP in order to do increased amounts of damage, similar to xiao's elemental burst.

- gem the anemo bow user who's a healer and part boar :D

- zombiecleo is a geo catalyst user (cause she has her armor stand book) who was resurected by the adepti (magical beings and gods found in the city of Liyue) simlar to Qiqi. her elemental skill involves summoning a wooden stand that deals AoE geo damage :D

(the main roles in genshin for a character are main dps/damage dealer, shield (the one who provides protection for your team), healer, and sub dps/support (typically utilized by using their elemental skill to get an elemental reaction and then doing more damage with your main dps)

i've also started working on designs for some of them, and by that i mean doodling on my schoolwork, and one of my favorite designs is probably joes! he has a cape, corset, and funky boots :3

Just some FFXIV thoughts....

To start, here's some boring info about me: I used to play Maple Story, Flyff, and Ragnarok Online, as well as a myriad of other obscure mmos and private servers back in the 2000s. Point is none of these were considered hardcore in the slightest.

So, starting ffxiv after so long kind of hit me like a train. I get to level 15 where I must queue up for my first low level dungeon Sastasha in order to move forward with the story. I don't have friends so I will be grouped up with 3 random strangers. The expected wait time to get in is like 7 mins. I wait about 5 mins and then withdraw from queue.

I have to do stuff with others??? Ummmmmmmmm. I honestly wandered around the map for like half an hour just questioning myself and if I should keep going.

Tank? Healer? DPS?

Coming from games of long ago where you just kinda wanted to have a healer on your team but you had no real obligation to, ffxiv actually recognizes the job roles and specifically requires a party of 1 tank, 1 healer, and 2 dps. You cannot deviate from this! (Well, you can but that's not typical, and later dungeons expand the number of players in a party but the general idea of requiring at least one of each role is still the same). It's interesting to me how this structure has become so sacred. Dungeons cannot be completed without you doing your specific job. It's to promote efficiency and comfort so everyone generally knows what to do as well as what others will do right off the bat.

Visibility AKA "Why are people looking at me"

Oh no. So, if everyone has a job to do that means there is the Mortifying Ordeal of Being Known. If you don't do your job, your party members WILL notice lol! And it will be obvious because there will be just 4 of you in the party. It's not hard to see what 3 others are doing. Further, if you're tank/healer, you will be the only one of your job role in your party. If you don’t follow your role, no one else can cover for you. You are very visible. And that's very anxiety-inducing!! You don't want to let the party down. Here are some notable job anxiety narratives:

- Tankxiety. You have to essentially lead your party through a scary maze-like dungeon. Nobody will move unless the tank moves first because the tank needs to be the one to take initial damage and get enemy aggro. You are therefore kind of expected to know your way around and where to go. This is less about competency, though, and more about confidence in yourself. If you get lost, no one tangibly loses anything. You just find the way eventually. Playing tank forces you to learn maps and enemy patterns. As someone who would rather fade away into the background, this scared the shit out of me.

- Healing responsibility. If someone/everyone dies, it's your fault. It's common to feel like this even if your party consists of 3 dumbasses who can't play and kill themselves on purpose. You feel responsibility because the whole point of you is to take care of everyone. That's the reality, and that's a lot of pressure. Playing healer forces you to have 0.1 reaction time, learn enemy patterns, and know how to prioritize who gets to live and who stays dead. People’s lives are on the line. When I was a child, I told my parents straight up I could never be a doctor.

- No real dps bad narratives though except to git gud. You're not as visible at being bad dps unless you literally stand there doing nothing. You can be head empty no thoughts about most maps and enemies as long as you react normally enough.

This game sounds very unforgiving and mean

To combat this anxiety hurdle, there is a huge focus on guiding and taking care of new people who don't know much. You have a literal sprout icon next to your name until you catch up to the latest expansion. So, like 1000+ game hours?? You are overtly "new" for a very long time.

Because the game is so heavily story-driven and requires a new 4-person dungeon run literally every step of the way, these dungeon queues need to have a steady stream of players ready to run them at all times. Otherwise, it would be actually impossible for newbies to get through the story. Not everyone has friends to make a pre-party with, ok cool guy. Majority of dungeon crawling is done with random parties.

So, you get rewards out the ass for running "duty finder" daily which puts you in a random unlocked dungeon with an automatically-generated party of random people. It is the #1 best way to get exp and level up. You are essentially rewarded for helping out new people to do their required dungeons. You can give advice during the run, tell them how best to go about things, give tips on their job, etc.

I find this so smart as a game philosophy in order to get people to constantly play/revisit all content while also being friendly to new people. New people are the lifeblood of a game. You literally cannot just play in a bubble with only top tier savage raider people and shield yourself from new people or incompetency. Not that I'm calling only new people incompetent.

Competency AKA "What am I doing and why am I bad”

The side effect of running these dungeons randomized is that you will often be dropped into one that you completely forgot about. The average person cannot memorize every single one and everything that happens in it. The game came out in 2010 so there is 10+ years of content.

If this game teaches you anything it's that You Will Fuck Up and it will be a lot and until the end of time. You are honestly forced to come face to face with your own incompetency nearly every time you log on lol. In a sense, you try to put on your best performance every time you enter a 20 min dungeon instance and just hope you don't cause a party meltdown.

It won't matter how many times you practice your rotation or how many times you run through the same dungeon over and over. You will inevitably forget something, you will misclick, you will get tunnel vision and forget to move from an aoe and get slammed in the face and die.

But it's fine. I see people dying to dumb shit all the time. It's fine because you get up and try again. Dungeons are not so difficult that you can't get through it on a second try, usually. There are no consequences to dying or performing sub-optimally except your own personal shame, time, and sadness. In fact, there's an exhilaration you get when things get particularly hairy but everyone pulls through by the skin of their teeth and manages to make it out alive.

CONCLUSION: You are important and contribute to the fight in your own way.

Only once you get over the Mortifying Ordeal can you then achieve the Rewards of Being Loved. There is something so satisfying about each successful dungeon run and knowing it is the result of each party member's cumulative contribution. When a role is missing or dies, there is a noticeable difference. (Even dps. Sometimes fights are ones of attrition and will take 5-10x longer without dps).

So, yes, you are extremely visible to other random strangers who may judge you. But that also means that when you do a good job, your good job is visible. 80% of my dungeon runs end in the party thanking each other. The pressure the game puts on you to do your best but not to stress too hard about it is just enough, in my opinion.

You are encouraged to get over yourself, your ego, your own anxiety.

Personally, it is a point of pride for myself if I am able to hit all my buttons right when I'm supposed to. I want to be good for myself and for my random party members who I will ride or die for after just 20 mins. The game wants you to do your best, to be social and communicate when things go awry, and also to be humble in the face of weird shit happening -- all at the right levels. And then you are treated to the coolest damn visuals and game mechanics I've ever experienced!

Mine is:

Sub DPS, Support (often a healer), Main DPS, Support (shield/crowd control).

My first two often cause an elemental reaction because I use Xiao as my main dps and I don't really do elemental reactions with him.

To be honest I don't know what I'm doing with 3 sword users in my party HAHAAA (；・∀・)

But aaa I'll try my best to explain! Please, if I accidentally spread misinformation correct me (；・∀・)

About people talking about resonance I believe they're talking about much elemental users are in your party!

Having 4 different elements in your party can give you resistance on all elements and physical resistance and then having 2 of the same elemental users (ie: 2 cryo users - Kaeya + Chonyun, 2 anemo users - Traveller + Sucrose, etc.) Activates a resonance for your team (more on the pictures below)

The one on the sustain part, I believe what they're talking about how your team needs a main DPS (Damage Per Second), sub DPS/support, healer, tank/shield, etc!

I'll try to cover the roles as much as I can so if I miss out please add and correct me;;

Main DPS are the ones who deals tons of damage in your team by using their normal/charged attack, skill and burst, they require assistance from other members of your team so they can maximize their damage output

Sub DPS/Support are the ones who uses their skill/burst to provide sub damage, increase your team's damage, decreases the enemies' attack/defense), provide crowd control and creates elemental reactions!

Healer pretty much self explainatory! They provide heals on your team by using their skill/burst and they require attack, defense or HP from the artifacts in order to maximize their healing potential

Tank/Shield are the ones who provides shields for the team! Shields are nice because you won't take any damage until your shield breaks or reached it's maximum duration- most of them requires HP/Defense from artifacts to increase the shield's durability

Now for the team composition I'm not sure what to say as I use them pretty much for fun and my enjoyment (^ ∀ ^ ;;)

I guess some characters have a nice synergy with each other due to their abilities! Such as Xingqiu + Chongyun combo due to Xinqiu's burst and Chongyun's skill + weapon, Xiangling + Razor due to their bursts or Kaeya + A cryo user because of the cryo resonance and Kaeya's 1st constellation

Though there are times you may need to switch characters based on their element, their weapon of choice or their role as a dps/healer/etc. like for example: you need a bow user to fight against a Ruin Hunter, a cryo to fight off an electro Fatui and all kind of stuff like that!

This is pretty much a mix and match kind of thing so yeah! :O

Just my opinons: If you want, you don't have to use OP or 5☆ characters and feel free to use your favorite characters! Any team is a good team, even the 4 starter characters (Traveller, Amber, Kaeya and Lisa) can be quite decent too ^^ As long you're having fun with your favorites then I'm sure you'll enjoy your game (*´∀`*)

And well try not to level everyone you have, maybe level up to 5 characters at max? Mainly because you will eventually run out of resources for your main team in the higher AR
