I had a birthday recently soooo here's an updated about post!!

Hey everyone. I'm Bunny. I use she/they pronouns. I'm 27 (total fandom grandma I knooooow). I'm a night shift home health nurse by trade (in the wise words of Penn Jillette, "I haven't slept in so long that I'm. . . . Really tired." Lmao) but I do a lot of art and writing, particularly for the Ride the Cyclone fandom. I'm also very much into other musicals too (Wicked and Hadestown are two of my favorites). this kind of question is hard for me, personally, to think about because of my own relationship with music and music artists (which is why this took so fucking long) which is to say I love music and don't really pay attention much to artists beyond the fact they make the music I love (lmao I really don't care about celebrities, I find it quite concerning that so many people idolise them so much... like your(general) fave is just a guy at the end of the day lmao) (that being said I can understand having an influence and following the *work* of an artist you really connect to) and I find it hard to make hard line distinctions between genres, aha 🤭

That being said, let's have a look at some music! (This is an excuse to show off my extensive and exhaustive music reach and taste, so thank you!)

Dylan──they're open to all types of music but they only really purchase R&B albums! Artists like Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, Prince, Alicia Keys, Frank Ocean, SZA, Kehlani and Miguel are all artists Dyl owns albums (and vinyls!!) for! Dyl introduced Kin to R&B and they usually listen to the artists she likes more when they're together (Beyoncé, Victoria Monét, Lionel Ritchie etc) They like ‘Foreign Language’ R&B too, artists like BIBI, DEAN, Cherrie, Girl Ultra, Adi Oasis, ØZI, Yseult and Lous And The Yakuza.

Shay──the real eclectic listener! He likes next to every genre of music, Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, K-pop, J-rock, Folk, Funk, Phonk, EDM, Heavy Metal, Grunge, House, Synth, Soul... even Country... Country Fusion! Shay likes artists that kind of... don't have a genre? Like Sleep Token, Twenty One Pilots, Pink Floyd, Oingo Boingo, Lene Lovich, David Bowie, Gorillaz, Poppy, Bring Me The Horizon, Afterlife, Seventeen, Red Velvet and Hannah Wicklund. He definitely love finding new music as well as sharing new music! (Watch the YouTube/Twitch channel that's got a segment dedicated to reacting to new music!! Like HTHAZE!)

Kinsley──lmao she doesn't mind Popular music but, like, the last Taylor Swift album she actively sought out was 1989 (she's partial to This Love) and Kin would rather die than be subjected to Trap music. She's very into genres like Alternative Indie, Indie Rock, Neo Soul, and R&B artists like Hozier, Florence + The Machine, Lorde, Phoebe Bridgers, Lizzy McAlpine, Searows, Reneé Rapp, Ethel Cain and Noah Kahan. Her R&B influence is mainly from being Dylan's friend but she does love artists like Beyoncé (she really loved her self titled album and especially Virgo's Groove off of Renaissance), Victoria Monét (particularly the Jaguar II album) and Khalid as well as older artists like Mary J. Blige, Marvin Gaye or Lionel Ritchie!

J──they tend to listen to music for the beat, the bass, the instrumentals more than lyrics. They like heavier genres like Rock, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Alternative Rock, Punk Rock, Nu Metal, Grunge and other genres like EDM, Synth, Techno and Trance. They also listen to Italian artists quite a lot, mainly because J wants to keep up with the language (because their father refuses to speak it or teach them) so artists like Måneskin, Jovanotti, Lacuna Coil, Max Gazzé, Vanerus, and even Vivaldi. J also listens to anything their sister recommends them, even if it's the most bubblegum pink pop shit they've ever heard─if Bells likes it they're listening. Shay will also introduce them to the wonders of J-rock and K-pop which bend genre all the time!

Theo──a Pop lover! Or rather, Theo tends to stick to listening to the radio or the Popular Playlist on Spotify! They tend to like more instrumental artists like or soundtrack artists like Hans Zimmer, Hiroyuki Sawano, Danny Elfman, Vangelis, Rachel Portman (who was the first female composer to win an academy award for best original score!) and Michael Giacchino over anything else and they 'broaden their horizons' by being dragged to Jazz bars and open house cafés by C (and MC) so it's not like they're stuck in one/two genre's!!

He's having a great time no longer being in a stifling environment that pressures him to feel shame for being himself, or one that forces him to accept a Christian mythos as real and true but with a twist, and really loves having a boyfriend whose whole code of ethics revolves around indulgence and corruption. Aside from the obvious sucking and fucking Jesse all night and being a good obedient free use cocksleeve? Uh. He'd enjoy a cozy operation or two in his morgue, make some art or music with his band, mayhaps clean a crime scene for somebody and take a bunch of photos for his collection, plan or carry out a murder, go to a concert or a graveyard, go on the prowl and stalk people around the city, train at the gym, maybe take a drive or have a stakeout with Jesse that ends up with their hands all over each other... The more activities he can spend with Jesse the better, and even better if Lukas doesn't come calling for some asinine bullshit that he should be able to handle himself as Sheriff ("That's below my paygrade!")

He likes it hard and fast with a lot of screaming blasting out his eardrums. Lets him live vicariously and pretend he's not totally cold inside-- gives him acting material to work with. He likes being cold and doesn't feel like a person at all and the sheer amount of emotion in the songs he listens to serves as an example and helps him fake humanity better As a musician he listens to a lot of different bands, from mainstream to underground. Talent can be found anywhere and he keeps an open mind. His own bands are pretty underground so he sort of relates to those ones more overall. Small venue or basement shows are his jam He gravitates to goregrind/death metal/grindcore the most. That's what he performs himself. Due to Reasons™️he is also involved in the local punk scene and will listen to that genre often as well. Jesse has his own tastes in metal but Aidan has fun listening to those types with him too

At the very least Aidan knows how to strip and preserve a corpse so you could get him to be semi-useful while hunting for food, and he can turn the parts into something useable. He's also highly attuned to his surroundings at all times and could utilize his forensics experience to analyze any given area and learn about it But he's a city boy to the core. Don't expect him to know anything about camping in the wilderness for 5 days. He could survive in an apocalypse if he had some help lmao Also yeah he has medical expertise and theoretically could provide medical aid to people. HOWEVER he is a Necronomist and it goes against everything he stands for to prevent death (he has to quicken it), so he wouldn't be very popular or have many allies in an apocalypse scenario

I would love to encourage you but unfortunately what you said is true, the education system sucks and is indeed very confusing, as it changes its rules every school year, sometimes even during the school year itself, and more than once. My mom works in special education and OMG I've seen her through her many breakdowns because of that. Let's just say, we still have a fascism-oriented school system, unfortunately. But no one seems to care about it, except for way too little teachers and the way-too-many students whose mental health is permanently damaged by it. And this ain't that helpful. I don't mean to sound diminishing, but lately things have been worse and worse here :/

Beside that, I love living in Italy. What I love is literally all the history. Culture. Art. Literature. Years-long traditions. I'm in love with my country when it comes to humanities. I'm just not so in love anymore when it comes to modern humans, instead, though :)

Wow you sound like my parents' idea of their perfect daughter in their wildest dreams!! LMAOOO my mom is CRAZY about figure skating!!! She loves it sosososoooo much. Unfortunately, it was way too warm in her (and my) hometown for it being an actual thing, so she never got to try it. But her eyes literally sparkle when she sees any figure skating performance. And I sometimes watch some of them with her. I'm not a huge fan like I know names or technicalities, but I do enjoy watching it very much. While my dad is a HUGE f1 fan! But this one, I don't enjoy at all :/ I love athletics though! I really do! I always watch it and follow it a lot. It's actually a family thing LOL cuz my dad used to do it. Besides that, I'm not really into other sports. Neither watching or practicing. as for the music tastes, those wild playlists full of all genres are so fun and i actually think its the best way to improve your own work if youre creative too. people who stick in their field or genre are missing out on the growth and appreciation for other things that could totally enrich their life! i used to work with some girls who would often boast about their eclectic playlists and i was like honey if there's no classical music mixed in with your dream pop and billboard 100 folk rock, then y'all ain't eclectic lmao

Going through my old unposted asks and using this one to say that it is so so funny that I am completely eager and excited for Finn's future album even if his music is generally nothing I listen to, like a one and done listen kinda deal but reading and analyzing his lyrics is going to be a BLAST. Cosigned with your points about music taste. Even if I tend to gravitate to a very specific type of music, there's a lot that doesn't fit the bill that I'm still into because I branch out and explore and have a curiosity for the vastness of music. Hell, maybe I'll fall in love with Finn's album even though it's outside my preferred genre. I've talked about it before, but while the bulk of my saved music is upbeat pop and rock, you'll find movie soundtracks and rap and country in there, too. I think it's just very limiting when people keep their tastes so specific and centralized.

Eclectic music girlies (gn) rise up! It's almost become too easy to make music now, if that makes sense? Anyone can put a beat together or sample from a different song (my biggest pet peeve is sampling and remixing lmao) and even if they can't sing it's okay because autotune is so common place now it's an open market.

I'm not saying that's an inherently bad thing, I've been introduced to quite a lot of newer artists that I do actually really enjoy but because it's such an open, over saturated market there's very few new artists that make it worthwhile listening to that aren't just churning out song after song. I'll even go so far as to say I used to love listening to Ed Sheeran but he's lost his touch, yk? He's succumbed to the mainstream hype and lost the sounds that made him stand out in the first place?

I wasn't alive during that era of music, as much as I think I would've loved it! But the injustices and unfairness of the world remains the same the only difference is, people vented about these injustices through music! There's no uniqueness to music anymore (mainstream radio/pop) and I could literally go on and on and on about how, whilst the music industry has been made more accessible, thanks to the internet, just because someone made a good cover or a catchy snippet on tiktok doesn't necessarily mean they need a label yk?

So I was inactive on here for quite a while and I'm just now getting back into it so I figured I'd update my about post!!

I'm Bunny C: I am 26 years old

I work as a private duty night shift nurse now but I still really enjoy more artistic interests. Drawing on my iPad helps keep me awake while my clients are sleeping anyhow lol

Some stuff I'm really into:

-musical theater in general (mainly Wicked, Ride the Cyclone and Hadestown, I've seen all of those like a gazillion times and could probably fill in for any role in all those shows, I can't sing so I wouldn't be very good, but I could do it lmao. Currently a connoisseur of both Ricky Potts and Jane Doe from rtc)

-Penn and Teller (my emotional support elderly magicians your honor)

-Always Sunny in Philadelphia

-Impractical Jokers

-Star Trek (pretty much every series)

-Cartoons in general, especially anything that was on in the early 2000s

-Lots of other stuff too ig

-I love music and my taste in music is pretty eclectic but I'm a huge fan of Hozier

-I enjoy writing, haven't written in a while though, hoping to get back into it

-My ask box is always open especially if you're down to talk about any of the aforementioned things hehe

My ranking of ‘75 songs/albums genuinely changes every week. At the minute I’ve been loving ILIWYS it’s definitely my favourite but I honestly couldn’t rank anything else. I love all their albums which is why I hate when people start up the notes or BFIAFL slander but it’s just like srsly what’s ur reason??? They can never give a legitimate reason

ITS TRUEEE. they just say shit like that to be different or whatever. It’s a bad look. Just means you don’t have taste if you don’t love those albums, lmao. I think it’s fair to say all 5 albums make it to my list of all-time favorite records. They’re all very special and they do such different things and are inspired by different influences which is what I love about the 1975. You never get bored because there’s always something new/different going on each time. It’s also great proof of their eclectic taste. Like I LOVE listening to George and Matty geek out about what kinds of music or artists (old and new) inspired their own work it’s so clear that they just love what they do and enjoy needing out about it 🥹🥹
