My 2009 MacBook Pro is 10 years old. 10 years was the difference between an IBM XT in 1985 & Mac LC II in 1995 & Dell Latitude in 2005, and the earlier computers would be unusable 10 years later. Meanwhile, my MBP (8GB RAM & SSD) is still fine as a modern computer via /r/technology My 2009 MacBook Pro is 10 years old. 10 years was the difference between an IBM XT in 1985 & Mac LC II in 1995 & Dell Latitude in 2005, and the earlier computers would be unusable 10 years later.
