loser? nah, i'm a nerd. it's different.

a multicharacter drabble (m. fushiguro, y. okkotsu, s. gojo, s. geto)

NERD!MEGUMI who totally has an rbf, but is so, so gentle when he explains complicated biology concepts to you. he acts all annoyed when you say you don't undertstand, like 'were you not paying attention during the lecture?' or 'i'm pretty sure we learnt this back in junior high'. but his voice is calm and steady as he walks you through it - no condescension, just quiet patience hidden behind his sharp words. behind that cool facade he projects in front of everyone else, you see genuine warmth in his eyes - his eyes that you see soften slightly when you thank him for his help.

NERD!YUTA who doesn't wear his glasses to class because he doesn't want to be made fun of for how they look on him. they're a beautiful tortoiseshell pair, sitting perfectly on the bridge of his nose, accentuating his deep blue eyes. at least, that's what you observe from staring at him for prolonged periods of time. one day you're studying with him in the library, and his glasses slip down his face. without a second thought, you extend your hand to push them up with your index, your thumb accidentally brushing his cheek. he turns red almost immediately, and you can't help but smile.

NERD!GOJO who is annoyingly confident in his own abilities. always the first to say his piece in class discussions, always the first hand in the air when there's a question to be answered. when you've had enough, and mutter something under your breath about him being an insufferable know-it-all, he turns to you with a teasing glint in his eyes. "aw, don’t be jealous. i can tutor you if you want," he offers, resting his chin on his hand, a lazy smirk playing at his lips. "though, fair warning - you might fall for me in the process. happens all the time."

NERD!GETO who is somehow the most chill and laid-back guy you've ever met. and since you almost never see him study, you wonder sometimes how he's managed to get to where he is today. all that wondering comes to an end when you're paired up with him for a chem project, sitting across from him in his living room as you stare at him blankly. he looks so different - raven hair tied up in a messy bun instead of its usual neat ponytail, humming to himself as he taps a pencil against the seam of his plush lips. he's in deep thought, clearly. truly, he's got it all; brains, brawn, and no small amount of quiet charm.
