I actually love the exorcist tv show it’s so unserious like the underlying plot is that a demon cult wants to assassinate the pope. That’s it. No further motive. Also one of the 2 main characters the bald guy from that gifset is canonically bisexual (obviously) but it seems like they were accidentally queerbaiting with him & the other main character ? Also the single link it had to the movies was so goofy & apparently they’re making a 5th exorcist movie that will render the show noncanon which is so funny to me. Anyway I can absolutely understand why it got cancelled (it was not good) but I would have loved to have seen where they were going with all that.

#my review ^ it’s on Hulu if ur interested but look up content warnings & also know there is only that one old man kissing event & it’s not #until deep into season 2!! however him& that other priests faces are like 2 inches away from each other at all times it’s ridiculous #I should clarify when I say it’s unserious I mean it takes itself EXTREMELY seriously despite being completely silly. it’s entertaining if #not a bit grating at times #I will also say a good amount of the main demon possession arc of the first season is a pretty well done metaphor for grooming until it #loses track of itself a little bit because it’s like but also it’s literally a demon remember #which is to say it would have been a really good show if it was well written. the folly of many a show unfortunately #still worth watching if you enjoy the exorcist franchise tho ^_^ we’ll really just the 1st movie but yeah
