desperately need to know who came up with “right-wing, left-wing, the whole bird hates women” because it’s going on the list of things i plan to say as an exasperated elderly wise woman delivering truths to the naive young women of my mountain village

#the raw milk conservative tradcath thinks the oppression and servitude of women is biblical and natural #the brocialist leftist/communist thinks the exploitation and abuse of women is sexy and empowering #and they both hate black people especially black women #just racism/misogyny lite vs. pro max. homophobia/patriarchy in therapy speak vs. religious speak. luxury beliefs vs. anti-intellectualism #must it always be ideological purity tests/nihilism/post-modernism or christian propaganda/moral apathy? bring back pragmatism and nuance #going back to being a lib/social democrat. i <3 incremental change & compromise over all or nothing demands used to mask political laziness #do i read theory? yeah. dworkin. do i have class consciousness? yeah. female! do i vote blue no matter who? absolutely! and i love sourdoug #my politics? i luv women/lesbians/gays/safe walkable cities/bisexuals/girlboss capitalism/free k-12 meals/drugfree public transpo/the arts #yapping #feminist musings
