#my otp is javert x a solid punch in the face

I just had an amazing Les Mis gifset idea: Adaptations often add a moment after Fantine's death where Valjean gives Javert a well-deserved sucker punch to the face. This moment obviously does not happen in the book. Brick Valjean does understandably SNAP for a moment and threatens Javert, but it doesn't come to blows, and Fantine's death is left unavenged. The horrible lack of any vengeance/catharsis is supposed to be the point. HOWEVER I think a gifset compiling all the post-Fantine-death sucker punch moments from different adaptations would be very amazing, and also convey my exact feelings towards Javert in this chapter. we just need a masterpost of Valjean effortlessly throwing Javert around in 1935, Valjean knocking Javert against a wall until he loses consciousness in 98, Valjean sucker punching Javert in the stage show, Valjean whacking Javert with a piece of wood in 2012, etc.,....it's what she deserves.jpg
