I got so freaking excited seeing the trailer for "The Wild Robot", so naturally some fanart was in order! I didn't expect the painting to look so oily and have so many softer edges, but I still think it came out really nice and was good practice! Colored pencil really has helped me figure out a personal painting process, as here I actually used a similar layering technique as when I work in colored pencil.

Aside from that though, I haven't read the books yet (though I plan to after I see the film) but this movie looks like it's gonna hit so many of my favorite tropes and features when it comes to fiction and animated stories, including: non-human protagonists (and both of my favorite kinds, animals and robots!), stylized visuals, robot learning to be more than just their programming yet still maintaining their original robot skills and behavior to a degree, robot with emotions and unique ways of showing it, character in the wilds adapting by studying the animals, post-industrial-level technology existing in harmony with nature and the wilds rather than being portrayed as inherently harmful to nature and therefore inherently wrong to make (this is a big one for me), the odd duo, the gentle giant, a character finding belonging in an unexpected environment, just general wonder for the beauty of the wilds, and probably other things that'll come to me as I understand this story more.

But even beyond that, I just had to draw Roz because she's so freaking cute! Like, even excluding the adorable way she mimics the animals or glows when happy or how her "eyelids" give her more facial variation, in design alone she's so round and sweet looking! And somehow her being big and bulky to juxtapose her kindness with an strong and imposing stature just makes it even better! I love characters who are large and intimidating at first glance but total softies on the inside. Brightbill's definitely in good hands!

If the film holds up and Roz also has a clear and entertaining personality beyond just being curious and caring, there's a 60% chance that come September she'll become my new robot blorbo (roblorbo?), up there with C-3PO, Wall-E, and Five Pebbles!

Captain Kiss of the 343rd

Blorbo of my own creation. Whom i love and adore. Who didn’t survive the war to let her assigned gender get in the way

 AKA, Kisses (Duo), Capin' (The twins), Smooch (DT). The name Kiss comes from the kiss curls that frame her face. She styles these baby hairs, and paints curls on her bucket to match, along with teeth on her armour to resemble her beloved pet and service Massiff, Mooch. Captain of the 343 company on Naboo in the Lake Country.  Not to be confused with the sprawling fields and grand estates. This troop guard an outpost a few clicks from Auroa, a ranching village, as a look out for oncoming ground/swamp infiltration attempts. If the senators living it up in the Lake Country or the capital of Theed are under any threat, they'll know about it first, so its mostly surveillance and scouting work.

Kiss was originally designed to be a CC unit, but as a cadet crying too much saw her reconditioned and transplanted into a CT batch that had just lost a cadet in training. Crying is still difficult if not impossible for Kiss, who comes off as tough and aloof but feels things deeply. Kiss was deployed as heavy infantry to Geonosis in the first clone trooper assault, and took over as Captain of the company she was in when their Captain died. The role would remain hers for a time until she was struck down by a mortar shell that almost took her jaw. The wound would be cosmetic but the implant to replace the structure of her cheek and the horror of being unable to breathe or speak for so long would have lasting effects. But she's a good soldier, and despite the few and far between episodes, she is exemplary, but the danger of her doing so during battle is too much of an unknown that she is inevitably shipped to Naboo to aid the Naboo Royal Guard in protecting the mid-rim edge planet. A somewhat menial task for a would be perfect soldier. But it wouldn't be all bad. Mooch would be assigned to her as a pup.

Mooch was too docile to be an attack massiff but showed talent in being a service dog. When they met, the pup was able to detect an oncoming attack in Kiss and pawed at her until she complied with her demands.

Kiss would join two other clones in being the first clones to request transition. And seeing as her involvement in the war was considered to have little impact, two years in, she was approved. With her identity known to higher ranking clones. She would aid in the transfer and protection of other "Obsolete" or "faulty" clones. Some would stay with her and name themselves the 343 company in her honour.

Bonus: Nabooen locals worship a goddess called Hemeela. A goddess of bounty and beauty, known to take many forms but to be a brave fighter and mother. 

Upon discovering this deity, Kiss made her identity known to her vode and now lives as a woman adopting markings that match scars Hemeela received in her battle against the all-consuming Jutorus. 

She is in a constant debate with Duo about the nature of her weight. Hormones are new to her and have changed the distribution of fat much to her delight but to Duo's despair as they state "A fat ass isn't regulation." Much to Kiss’s despair.

Looked back into episode 7 today. If you haven't watched it for whatever reason, ehhhh maybe hold off on this for now, but I noticed something and I don't know what to make of it. So I bring it to you, oh Tumblr audience!

Okay so while "Tessa" was down in the... holding chamber hallway? Idk the place with all the lockers with the different drones' numbers on them that she blew up, I was feeling appreciative for the clarity of this episode and how vivid it was in comparison to the earlier episodes. But before I could get too sentimental over it, I got a look at he computer area at the end of the hall. I knew there was a picture there before, but I hadn't paid it much mind until today, when I mistook it for a picture of the Elliots. It isn't, but I think it's something much more interesting:

The whole screenshot, and the picture as clear as I could make it. What we're looking at here is very clearly two drones with the word "HELP" scrawled across the center in blood. Blood on its own already raises a few questions about this for me, but I'm more curious about the two drones pictured. As far as we the audience know, there was only one successful duo in the CFL project - Nori and Yeva. But I acknowledge that

A) There's a lot of info about Project Cabin Fever (PCF) we don't know, and

B) This picture is incredibly unclear and it could be neither of those drones.

Those things aside... why the PICTURE in the first place? This is framed at the end of the hallway where all of the subjects were held. Why? As an example? Symbol of pride? Warning?

I don't mean to start any crazy theory here, I just noticed this today and my curiosity was piqued. I'm of the opinion that MD will likely have a second season, and I hope I'm right - not just for more content of our favorite robot blorbos, but also because I am insanely curious about the origins of PCF. First off, I think Cleo would be the narrator. Why, you ask? Because its MY au and I get to put my blorbos where i want. But if im being fr then its bc she has i think the perfect combo of exhausted britishness, willingness to manipulate and lie, and overall just the Vibe to fit the narrator. Bonus points if they're a fractured version of time witch cleo from WCSMP.

And then... THE VOICES. THIS IS WHAT I IMMEDIATELY SNAG ON. Would the voices be different people, or potentially just alternate versions of Gem? Also yes ive decided gem is the protag and pearl is the princess but thats bc my original knee jerk reaction was "gem is the princess (esmp2 gem was a fave) and pearl is the hero" but then i thought harder and went waittt i love shapeshifter pearl and dimension hopper gem. I can work with that.

Anyway yeah im thinking different people for the voices, but I'd probably give gem her own internal dialogue alongside it bc it'd be less interesting if she was just the vehicle for the plot in this au. I'll probably have her be both the actual 'hero' character and voice of the hero, for simplicity.

The first ones to come to mind are false as the voice of the paranoid, because she is my #1 paranoia rep i love her, and grian as voice of the contrarian bc he fucking would.

Potentially joel as voice of the cheated, or stubborn? If we do bring wcsmp elements in then prismarina would make a great voice of the cheated too LMAO. So, Joel for voice of the stubborn

Scar is Very voice of the opportunist. And obviously the witch is double life pearl. Which is so perfect?? Like goddamn???? Especially bc i love dl sunflower duo. AND THE INTERNAL DIALOGUE VIBE WOULD BE ALMOST LIKE IF GEM AND SCAR WERE ALLIED AGAINST PEARL AT THE END OF SECRET LIFE

Broken is hard to pick a voice for, maybe mumbo? but the tower would Definitely lean into Santa Perla and the farmer god esmp2 stuff. I could see him being like "oh well it would probably be for the best if we just listen to the giant god lady who could crush us, right?"

Hunted... I was unsure for a while but maybe Shrub? Wolf spirit shrub would be rlly fun for that. And ig the beast would be some form of alien s9 pearl? OR we could lean into the more monstery salmon/siren/merfolk s10 pearl stuff

Cold could be Cub, i dont know much about him but he seems very chill and pragmatic enough for me to push to the extreme here

BAND AU MATSUNO HCs‼️‼️‼️

honestly they're very new so i don't have like. a Ton of ideas yet and kinda make shit up as i go but ido have a few hcs buzzing around

namely that this is (personally) the only version of osomatsu i could see being bisexual HDSHRGIUREHGIU and it suuperrr plays into like. how opehn the sibs are about their identities. and ruby doesn't try to act like an asshole, he's actually a pretty responsible leader and a brother figure they all look up to. their dynamics are quite the same as they were when the matsunos were kids

if anything i'd say they started out being at each others throats and NEVER getting along… until one day they lemonade mouth'd on accident. and ever since. they're super close. It's literally reversing the dynamics between San and Kun.

this means that… oso and choro are a close duo, ichi and jyushi are still a close duo, and totty and kara are a close duo.

Due to the fact that they are not sextuplets, they do not have as terrible of identity issues and I think it's the only reason they're really better off / have their shit together and are so like, confident in their identities. If they were sextuplets it would have been just like canon. This is why I have separated them into twins. The birth order is still the same.

ages are;

oso+kara = 24

choro + ichi = 22

jyushi + todo = 20

also they did actually used to be called their original names but they legally changed them to gem names for the band and other reasons i'll get into later.

the idea for everyone having gem names comes from the fact that choros name is changed to jade in this au, and while he's the ONLY one with a gem name I didn't care for the canon names just being… Oso, kara, jade, itchy, juicy, todo. It's boring. I like whatever choro had going on

So.. their new legal first names goes as so:

osomatsu -> ruby

karamatsu -> lapis

choromatsu -> jade

ichimatsu -> agate

jyushimatsu -> topaz

todomatsu -> spinel

Their last name is Hoshino instead of matsuno; I do think they call their band !!!MATSUNO!!! though. I see a bunch of people call it fujio rock but that's not actually their band name as far as I can tell -- that's the name of the overall au / it's parodying real world festival Fuji rock.

Each of the Hoshinos have similar hair; they're actually defined by sharing similar hair dye jobs with who their closest to. This is based off of how it is in Canon too.

Ruby and Jade have half their hair dyed, agate and topaz have nearly fully dyed heads of hair with natural hair streaks, and lapis and spinel only have a few color streaks framing both sides of their faces.

Their music is largely scene, but they dabble in ska, and pop punk because they can have some very poppy aesthetics in some sets…. and also look like they'd play ska in the summerfes fit. also, whatever songs SNOWMAN makes, since that features all their live action actors.

Lastly, ruby models his hair after billy joe cobra because it's my blorbo and I get to make the weird crossover happen

OK OK OK HEAR ME OUT!!! HEAR ME OUT!!! all the BRC crews, but like, they're slashers/murderers, and the BRC crew is basically the main cast y'know???? I feel like solace should be the final girl

This is gonna be a fun one! I like horror stuff, but admittedly with slashers I tend to just read about them, since seeing the gory stuff makes me ill. ^^;

Still! Even just reading about a lot of these kinds of movies gives a lot of ideas, so I'm working off of that!

Also sorry I’m posting this the next day! I finished this yesterday, but I wanted to proofread it first and got too sleepy to finish it last night. ^^;

So with BRC as the main cast (I’m assuming just the original 5? Tryce, Bel, Felix, Vinyl, and Solace), horror movie logic dictates that usually the comedy relief character dies first. Then again I have no idea if that’s still a thing in horror movies these days. :u

But anyways, I feel the character who probably fits that role is either Felix or Solace. Because, Felix gives me the impression of a chill guy who cracks jokes every now and then. And Solace is Solace, the comedy is mostly in his bad luck and/or his status as a Sad Wet Blorbo, lol

imo Solace’s bad luck could actually work in his favor, basically him bumbling/tripping/etc. while avoiding death in more and more ridiculous ways as the movie goes on. To the point where he just happens to be the Final Girl!

But if we go with “comedy relief character dies first” and Solace gets that role, then I nominate Vinyl as the Final Girl. I feel like she’d be great as the Final Girl and actually manage to finish off the villain!

I guess the rest of the non-rival BRC members (Rave, Mesh, Shine, Rise, and Coil) get to be the background characters that get killed off along the way. Or otherwise they manage to escape just in time, but don't play much of a role in stopping the villain in the end. Whoops, sorry guys. D:

So with the main cast established, let’s move on to the crews! I’m gonna be predictable and start off with Devil Theory, specifically with my OCs. *u*

Daishō is a lover of horror media, so he goes all in on being a slasher movie villain! Serial killer who recreates elaborate deaths from his favorite horror movies!! Also involves plenty of knives and butcher themes, maybe.

Sai and Nunchaku tag along as minions, also a bit of a “If we didn’t help him, he might end up worse” kind of way. Cool motive, still murder though. Going by a horror movie structure, they’d get killed off before the main cast (or what’s left of them at that point) can take down Daishō directly.

Bō stays out of this whole mess because he hates horror stuff, especially gory stuff. He might play the role of someone warning the main cast to leave before it’s too late… before getting killed off by Daishō as a “traitor”. Yikes. D:

Now for DOT EXE... probably stuff involving hijacking robots and machines? Like that big incident in the mall in the Child’s Play remake from 2019. All the electronics go haywire and kill people, oh no!!

For my versions of the crew, Twoson and Fourside in particular would go all in on being evil serial killers like this. Like with Daishō, they’re big horror media nerds. Also they both probably kill off the other DOT EXE members when/if they try to get in the duo’s way too. I just can’t imagine the other members being okay with this, like how Sai and Nunchaku are okay with going along with Daishō’s plan. :o

With the Franks, maybe something like the Prince tricking people into thinking they’re getting life-saving surgeries free-of-charge... but then just harvesting them for organs and spare body parts for some experiments the Prince is carrying out. Or otherwise just sending out the Franks to kidnap people for “surgery”. I guess something like the doctor from the Mad Father game, just without the “turn people into dolls” obsession… or maybe have something like that too?! Or otherwise it’s just experiments to improve his skills and eventually advance humanity overall.

He insists he’s doing it for the good of humanity, but, y’know, he’s still tricking and killing people in the process. The Franks here are his minions, made from the body parts of former victims, and like I said being sent out to find more "test subjects".

So then for Eclipse, uhhhh, make them witches I guess?? Has there ever been a slasher with a witch as the villain? Gory magic! Surely there’s been at least one movie with that kind of idea.

Or if not that, then serial killers who leave astrology-themed “clues” at their murders, but really the clues are just to lure in more victims. Heck, combine the two! Why the hell not. Either way, they mostly target men who are genuinely heinous people, especially those who managed to escape punishment/jail time/etc. Basically a “the villain has a point though” kind of thing.

Sometimes they mess up and target a man who turned out to be completely innocent, or even the wrong guy entirely, but they don’t see it as a big deal. You could take this as a “He probably would have done something bad sooner or later anyways” thing, or otherwise “Well, you can’t make an omelette without cracking a few eggs. Or heads in this case.”

And now finally, FUTURISM! I’m thinking psychological horror mixed with slasher stuff! DJ Cyber and his crew basically messing with people before killing them off, stalking them for weeks or even months to get a good idea of their personality, background, etc. and then use it against them.

Maybe even go Saw with it, elaborate traps where they have to earn their survival or literally die trying! If we go with Solace surviving just on his weird luck alone, I can imagine some genuinely hilarious ways he can narrowly avoid death in this situation, lol

Uhhhhh last night I went a little silly lil crazy.

I was suddenly consumed by the urge to doodle the Eyes, Summer and Ben. There's Nothing going on, they're not connected outside of being in the same canvas. I rememberd why I never doodle Ben. I can never draw his hair right. But.... I needed to spread the Freckled Ben propaganda I started with my friend.

Ben is looking up because uhhh he was originally under Summer, but I had to change canvas size to send in a discord so I had to move him.

Anyway I hate PE, BE and Ben's hair, but they're a bunch of characters that have lived rent free in the blorbo ikea since like. Late 2010. Mmmmaybe early 2011. Anyway they're special to me. (Even if I hate Purple Eyes/pos.) (He's literally such a good villain I love him as a character, but like. I also hate him. It's like that one SpongeBob meme.)

Also. I believe in the protag duo having different shades of brown eyes (amber VS hazel) and their hair being different shades (Ben's looking redder, especially in bright light)

Being a haters exhausting. Here’s some things I actually liked in the recent chapters:

Seele and Senti! They are perfect and can do no wrong. They also make a surprisingly good comedic duo

Kiana and Durandal being sisters. This is one of the few times I’m actually really glad Mihoyo went down the no-angst route. I think it would’ve been really easy and cheap to have made Durandal resent Kiana in some way for taking over her life (I’ve seen other media do that), so I found it incredibly refreshing to have Durandal take the mature route, acknowledge none of that was Kiana’s fault, and immediately accept her as her sister.

The environment design. The moon base is a pain to walk through, but an absolute Easter egg hunt of tiny details. It’s also always nice to head back to the deep and saint freya. The project stigma space is also very neat to look at

Kevin and Fu Hua’s conversations. It might just be because they’re two of my favorite characters in the game, but I really found the scenes of these two former friends asking the other to back down or join them while having this silent resignation, knowing that nothing they can say will work, genuinely heartbreaking. Man, I just want my blorbos to be ok 😭

Seeing Siegfried and Theresa hang out. I always kinda forget that those two have been friends for a long time, so it’s nice to actually see that friendship in action (also, hoyo, why do you keep making these very fun to play male characters that are only available for one chapter)

The attempt to make project stigma more nuanced. Though I don’t think they really succeeded, I appreciate them trying to expand project stigma to more than just a shitty vaccine (for those who are still confused about what project stigma does, it takes everyone without an awakened stigmata and puts them in a dream. Those dreams are all slowly merging into the collective consciousness. Once they’re in the consciousness, the original person effectively dies and is reborn into a being like Hare {or at least this is what I’ve gathered}). I think this makes more sense than just straight up killing 90% of the population, and I can kinda get why people would support it or see it as a better alternative to death.

The shift to making Grey Serpent the main antagonist. So uh, past his introduction arc, Kevin just doesn’t make a good antagonist. He’s kinda disconnected from most of the main conflicts and the vast majority of the time we’ve seen him (be it him, his sim, or the Kaslana stigmata), he’s been on the protagonists side. Grey Serpent on the other hand- that guy has pissed EVERYONE off at some point or another. Even Seele is wary around him. I think if Mihoyo doesn’t want to do morally grey antagonists anymore, then going with the Disney villain is a better choice than demonizing another victim

Any time Li Shushang and Susannah are on screen together. Mihoyo really said “if you don’t know what to do with this side character, then make interesting by giving her a girlfriend,” and they were so right

random headcanon: she dyed the tips of her hair purple (yes, dawn, u are SOOO original), and the look stuck. once threatened a man because he was mean to a stray dog. the man got scared. gets her hoodies stolen. is banned from brynne's kitchen.

unpopular opinion: hm..... i think we deserved more of mini's backstory. like, yeah, she comes from a stable family but i would pay actual money to see more of her inner psyche. how her brain works. her family dynamics. it would be soooo funny (actively planning on inflicting trauma)

song i associate with them: not my own discovery, but i read a post that once said that "this is me trying" is a mini song (i think alice made it? not sure) and that stuck with me. every time i listen to "this is me trying" i think, "this is her song!!! my blorbo's!!! THIS IS HER SONG!!!!"

then, there's @silverstarssart's "angel of death" art that lives in my mind rent-free (an au is forming in my head) AND there's her mermaid art AND her art of mini kissing rudy on the cheek.

bcn's and silver's arts are exquisite (i have no knowledge about art but i know this much lol) and every time they post i am whipped into a frenzy that makes me want to chew glass and break my phone. so, yeah, i love any fanart that features my girl :)

It has been four years since Scott Pilgrim used the safe word and ended the long and traumatic BDSM scene known as the biggest, most awful, most tragic event in history plotted by Makima and Nagatoro, who have been sentenced to imprisonment in the pear wiggler for their femdom crimes. Peace returned to the land, but trouble was brewing under the surface. Without the threat of menacing dommy mommies, the Four Lords of Toxic Masculinity; Andrew Tate, “Doctor” Jordan Balthazar Peterson, Ben 10 Shapiro, and Big Jack Horner, were free to use their dark powers to corrupt the worlds submissive sad boys and turn them into their army of pathetic incel sleeper agents.

The only people who can send these motherfuckers to the depths of H E double hockey sticks is the badass magical girl duo of Chika Fujiwara and Mion Sonozaki, who acquired the power of 100% life fiber undergarments that turn into weapons from Kyubey, who they beat within an inch of his life in a process known as “robbery.” However, after a long day of helping their friend/enemy/spiritual ride-or-die Kobeni file her taxes, they have a hunger. And the only satiation is White Castle sliders with onions shredded on Mikasa Ackerman’s chiseled abdominal muscles.

Unfortunately for them, Mikasa was fired from her job at the local White Castle. Not because of the fact that she prepares food with her rock-hard stomach, but because she forgot to wear a hair net for a whole week (shameful). In her place is Goro Akechi; who in spite of his edge is a twink with soft tummy, unfit for cutting onions or any bulb vegetable other than three week old soggy garlics. In order to restore their magnificently fit specimen of a friend to her rightful place of employment, Chika and Mion will have to track down the legendary lieutenant Columbo, pass his test of not dropping a lighter for 24 hours or surviving the onslaught of his wacky lookin’ dog (who is trained to try and kill anyone who drops the lighter), gather the evidence he needs to convict Akechi of tax evasion, and create a mass social media disinformation campaign convincing the public hair nets make people muppets of the deep state, at which point they will finally get their precious borgar fuel.

But waiting for the borgar blorbos after defeating the Four Toxic Asshats is the origin of all masculine toxicity; the Dark Devil King Marion Wayne!! Will a single order of sliders and the power of friendship be enough to bring down such a bitch?!

5 Random Things

I was tagged by @mareenavee to share 5 random things i enjoy! Tagging @boethiahspillowbook @duo-kun @elfinismsarts @katastronoot @thelavenderelf and whoever else wants to join in.

1. Art! I have been drawing since before I could write. My school notebooks were filled with doodles, sketches, even comic strips. I even wanted to work in animation when I grew up, but due to a Series of Unfortunate Events, I quit drawing in my teens and picked it back up in my early 30s. I've been back at drawing for 3 years now and I forgot how much I love it!

2. Video games! Another thing I've been doing since I was just a wee lass, starting with the NES in the early 90s. The Mario Bros/Duck Hunt combo cartridge was my first experience with gaming and 4 year old me was hooked instantly. Sometimes I feel strange about being a grown woman who actively plays games almost on a daily basis, but it's something I enjoy and I don't have plans to stop. Catch me in the nursing home 50 years from now playing TES6 (if it's out by then)

3. Dogs! I'm a dog person through and through. I've grown up around large breeds and currently have a 9 year old Great Dane whom I love to pieces. He is absolutely my hairy, drooling son and I will hear no argument. I also adore every other dog I've encountered and want to pet each and every one of them, except the Golden Retriever who bit me in the face.

4. Pop/Soda. I may have a slight addiction to sugary drinks. I am not proud of myself but dammit I love the way it tastes and I crave the fizz.

5. Daydreaming! I've always been a creative minded person and probably 95% of the time, my brain is off in la la land. Currently that la la land is Skyrim and I'm busy conjuring up situations to throw my blorbos into, but before 2011 when Todd Howard ruined my life, I had ideas for all manner of original works that I hoped someday to be able to work on. I thought about writing or drawing them out constantly but never really did anything about it. I just really liked fantasizing about my projects that never came to fruition.
