So this sportswriter I follow is doing a big walk across England, and as I was reading his blog, I had this weird flash of realization that at least three of the best trips I’ve been on were in the presence of someone terrible. There’s something so odd about “oh yeah that trip to the Lake Country/the Grand Canyon/driving all the way across the US was super amazing, too bad every time I think about it I have to remember who I shared it with.”
