the bond that macho ass cowboys have with their dogs makes me cry
#; -;#its so pure#my older brother who is this huge jacked hillbilly#just the epitome of every southern stereotype down to chewing tobacker and never taking off his cowboy boots#has this tiny little purse dog named “Precious”#like i know for sure he would 100% fistfight a bear for this dopey little bugeyed dog#i have this older friend#this guy who used to date my mom lol#who is just SO obnoxiously big truck cowboy hat six pack of beer macho it makes me roll my eyes#but he has a special instagram account just for his pitbull?#THIS MAN HAS NOT TAKEN A SELFIE IN TEN YEARS#but he buys his dog a little neckerchief for every holiday and takes the dogs photo and posts it online#its so cute i love them all#something something something unconditional love in a cold cruel world#something something something fighting for warmth in a culture that has isolated you from tenderness and weakness#something something something forming emotional bonds with a creature that cannot reject you and loves you as you are#something something men connecting with pets in a culture that taught them their worth to humans amounts to what they can do/lift/build
