Rant blog status reinstated!

So firstly, I’m not happy about getting kicked off campus. But social distancing shit, whatever I guess, whatcha gonna do. 

But no. My fucking mother takes the goddamned fucking cake rn. 

We got the email about being kicked off around 4 pm eastern time, Monday. My mother. This fucking woman. Calls me and insists I pack my stuff and get off campus by Tuesday morning. Packing is normally at least a few days ordeal, especially since I hate packing and it always stresses me out a bunch. But done in little spurts, okay I guess, more doable. 

But noooo I have to get out by Tuesday. Fucking. Morning. And this woman actually has the gall, the fucking gall to halfheartedly suggest I start out Monday evening since I’ve gone nocturnal. 

I tried to tell her there’s no fucking way, but she wouldn’t fucking listen. So she hangs up, and I go down the hall bc I desperately need a hug by this point, and she’s a sweetheart but the only roommate available is a gangly skinny girl and not the type of hugs I need. (really, boyfriend would be ideal, but at the time he was in Colorado visiting his sister). And I end up breaking down on huggin friend’s couch bc I hate packing, and I don’t feel like I can pack up a year’s worth of shit in about 12 hours. 

Mom eventually calls me again, mostly just to tell me “yeah you need to pack up and get back tonight, your roommate can grab the 1-2 bins remaining.” And she refuses to listen to me saying “hey, it’s a solid 2 loads in my car, it’s not gonna be 1-2 bins”  “But it fit all in your first car!” “My first car was a fuckin beast, literally the largest car in the lot freshman year. Fred is definitely shorter, definitely less trunk space, etc.”  “Well Y can get the last few bins.” “It’s a lot of stuff!” “It won’t be that much” JUST FUCKING LISTEN YOU PIECE OF SHIT FFS

I was so stressed and crying that huggin friend stole my phone when I was texting my boyfriend, and had him call me so I could maybe stop crying. I miss my boy. Hearing him was good tho.

I’m packing up my stuff in the bathroom when I remember. I store my empty bins at my brother’s place (2 hrs north). I double check with him and call my mom back “I can’t leave tomorrow. It’s too much to pack, and some of my bins are at Brother’s.”  Despite all this, despite me literally breaking down and crying on the phone, she refuses to listen, to give me an extra day, to bring half my stuff up to my brother’s (and therefore eliminate most of the need to have my roommate take my stuff) and grab my extra bins. Nope, gotta get out.

I was staring at my room, halfheartedly packing and trying to figure out, and just sobbing out loud. I thought remaining roommate was gone at dinner, otherwise I would have tried to be quiet. But she had gotten back without me noticing, and when she poked her head in, I couldn’t do it anymore and just kinda. Fell to the ground crying and apologizing. She’s a such a sweetheart and I feel bad for probably worrying her (and possibly waking her up in the middle of the night with packing noises)

I texted my roommate about this. She basically said, “Wtf, what she’s asking isn’t possible.”

Same thing from my boyfriend. 

My mom kept texting me, asking how things were going, basically ignoring my subtle requests for more fucking time. At one point she said “Hang in there”. I sent a screenshot of that to my roommate and boyfriend and asked, “Is murder acceptable?” Roommate said a solid yes. Boyfriend offered to let me live with him. (cept 2 hour parking and I already got one ticket from that :P)

Mom texted around 10 pm, asking if things were fitting in the car. I wasn’t even remotely to the point of packing the car. I was basically at break number 2 of mandatory “sit down, have something to eat, and rehydrate after crying so damn much”. I think I had one bin completely done (out of what ended up being like. 6 bins? plus assorted bags n stuff) and was mostly done packing my clothes, but like. slow going. Especially when packing is stressful and you keep getting overwhelmed woot woot

I put off a fair number of things bc of panicking about time and simple emotional capability to do so. Sorting out my dishes, unlofting my bed, grabbing my band shit from the music hall across campus.

At some point in the night, I had to lay down, because my body decided “hey, you know what would be great right now? Period cramps, minus the blood.” Which, thank fuck minus the blood, but also it meant I had to spend a solid half hour/hour out of commission bc it hurt so damn much to walk around and try to pack. But I had to keep going, even though the pain came back when I stood up again.  

Mom texted me at 7 am if I’m awake. I hadn’t slept. 

We have housekeepers, and they got there around when I was finishing loading up. I stopped and chatted for a bit (nobody had told them what was going on), and nearly started crying again because it was just so damn shitty. Everything’s so damn shitty. 

So I got on the road at about 8 am, and get to driving for a bit, but about 1.5 hours in I’m doing bad. I can barely keep focused, despite drinking probably half a bottle of Mt. Dew by this point, so I pull into a rest stop and text my mom “Hey, I forgot my shampoo/conditioner/toothbrush stuff, and also I don’t think I can get home safe.”

Does my mother tell me to take a nap in that rest stop? Nope Does she tell me to find a hotel or motel there and take a nap/sleep and try again tomorrow? Nope Does she tell me I can go back to school, sleep through the day, and try again tomorrow? Ha ha fucking ha.

Nope. She calls me, and proceeds to tell me to keep driving, and that she’s going to stay on the phone with me so I don’t fall asleep. 

I yelled at her quite a few times, when she was being fucking stupid about all this shit. She had the fucking gall to be pissed that I pulled an all nighter, when that’s what was fucking necessary to meet her stupid fucking deadline. 

At one point, I made a new driving playlist so hopefully it would keep me awake better while I wasn’t on the phone (being serenaded... awake? by the lovely voice of Tilian lel (lots of DGD and his solo work on that playlist. Also ATL. Fuck yeah ATL. anywho)). And right after I made that, she ended up calling me before I was driving yet, and I rejected it bc I really wanted to finish my text to the dear bf, and then I started driving, thinking she’d call me back and chew me out for ignoring her, but surprisingly nope. So I just jam out for a bit, and eventually start yelling at myself bc of dumb writing ideas (the original story rewrite... lol) and I end up texting my roommate (while driving... shh) “Hey, feel free to call me if you want to hear me ramble on about writing” So after a short phone call from mum where she hung up to let me drive through a city, roommate calls, and I end up spending the last few hours of my drive rambling at her and mutually bitching about the shitty situation this leaves us in. 

When I get home, my dad (a doctor) is wearing a mask, apparently at my mother’s request. He also mentions that we probably shouldn’t be in the same room, according to her. I am also forced to strip everything and shower basically immediately. K, fine, I do so, Dad makes me dinner (despite Mom’s probable disapproval), and I stay awake just long enough to toss my laundry in the dryer. It was a close thing tho. I nearly fell asleep waiting for the washer to finish. And so I pass out at 8 pm central time (9 pm eastern)

Mom, during all this, has fucked off Up North to our cabin, my final destination.

Wednesday, Mom makes me leave our place in the Cities at 11 am to get up before weather gets worse and all that jazz. Once here, I’m allowed freedom for as long as it takes to help mother move shit so I can fit my car inside a garage, then I take the bare minimum inside (my electronics, stuff that would explode if frozen (like pop (and my Smirnoff Ices shh)), travel toothbrush I somehow have and hairbrush), and I’m immediately quarantined to my room and the bathroom down the hall. 

So here I fucking am. Bored as shit and pissed the hell off

I needed more time. But no fucking way Mom was going to let that happen. 

I could have gone up to my brother’s. But noooo I had to come all the fucking way home, only to be shoved in a room for two weeks.

I could have taken care of all/most of my shit by my fucking self (dishes are debatable, would need basically the whole apartment to sort those out), but nope, can’t take enough time to take a trip up to my brother’s apartment 2 hours away, no way.

Nope, instead I have to suffer a panic attack for basically 16 hours, then nearly kill myself driving, because I can’t stay one fucking day more, because I have to get my ass up here just to be basically shoved in a room and left alone for 2 goddamned weeks. Nope. Can’t fucking make sure that moving out, usually stressful on its own, is as calm as we can make it in these trying times. Nope. Gotta just fucking nearly kill the kiddo instead to comply with my stupid whims because I can’t fucking listen

I’m pissed.

Especially since I was almost 100% sure I was gonna block her everywhere and go full no contact with this bitch after college.

But now I’m stuck here for the foreseeable future! Yay! Can’t see that going badly! 

(I’ve already texted the anonymemers to call me so I don’t go crazy and actually punch her. We’ll see how that goes. The desire has been kinda strong all afternoon.)

Part 1: Chapter 1

Year: May 10th 2006

 (So everything happens fast because each chapter is leading up to present day) The story starts with Omari, Ace and Jade, they are not the only main characters throughout the story I will introduce the rest in total it should be 6 POVS this was really hard to write cause I have so many 1st chapter drafts. Idk if I wanted to do a book about the past or both)

  Omari: age 21

“(Georgia), We on the grind in (Georgia), All the time it isn’t nothing on my mind but (Georgia) We ain’t playing with ya (Georgia)” Georgia by Ludacris played in my car as we rode through the west side. It was just me, my mama, and my brother. My daddy died when I was 7, my mom was still pregnant with my brother Ace. We live in the worst projects on our side of town Wood Ridge. Niggas always get killed and robbed over here. I pulled up at the Citgo, my brother Ace hopped out. “Yo wassup O” A nigga I knew named Shy. “Wazzam Shy” I said dapping him up. “You still looking for work?” He asked. I nodded. “Something like that, what’s up?” I asked. He pointed over to a man in a Hummer H2, with the windows down. Money in The Bank” By Lil Scrappy in his car. “Yo I heard about him, niggas scared of him” I said to him. He waved me over to follow him to the car. “What’s up D, this is O. He looking for a job” He told him. The light skin dude with tats on his neck looked over at me. He looked me over one good time before turning down his music. “You need money huh?” He asked. I looked around my surroundings. “Yeah, uh we bout to get evicted and shit, and My mama struggling right now” I told him. He nodded. “You got a phone?” He asked. I nodded pulling out my Nokia. He slid up my screen to get to the key pad. He then passed me my phone back. “Holla at me around 6pm and Ima make something shake for you” He told me before rolling up his window. I looked at the phone. I see the name Demetri in my phone. I was walking back to my car when I see Ace sitting on the hood of my car talking to some bitch. “Yeah, you fine as hell shawty, let you up sometime” He said. She blushed. “Aight, Ima give you my number but if you going to call, call at 9 pm that’s when my minutes is free” She said. He nodded and let her put her number in his Metro Phone. I slapped the back of his head. “Nigga get the fuck in my car and stop fucking with these hoes” I told him laughing at how mad he got. Ace had a bad temper. Mama say he get it from Our father. We pulled up and the apartments. Bitches was already fighting outside in the parking lot. “Beat her ass Kita” Her friend yelled. Ace squinted his eyes and his eyes got big, he hopped out the car and ran over to the girls fighting. It was his friend Jade. “Aye nah yall chill” He said pushing the girls off. He grabbed Jade. “Nah uh Ace that bitch deserve to get her ass beat for fucking my nigga” She yelled. Jade spit blood on her air forces. “Bitch I told you your man and I aint fuck, he tried to get in my pants and I said no” She stressed. I shook my head and walked into the house. My mama Traci was on the couch watching Maury. I kissed her on the cheek. “Hey mama” I said to her. She nodded. “Where’s Ace?” She asked. “He outside with Jade” I told her. She sucked her teeth in. “Her auntie been running her mouth about that girl, saying she be fucking the whole apartments” My mama told me. “Anyways, I got a job. I mean I think I got one” I told her. She smiled and looked over at me. “That’s good baby, what is it?” She asked. I shrugged. “I got to call and see” I said. She nodded. Ace busted in the house with Jade. “Aye, boy what is wrong with you coming in here like that!” Mama yelled. He grabbed Jade hand and brought her into the bathroom. My mama shook her head. I stood by the bathroom door. Ace was cleaning off Jade. She had blood coming out her nose and a cut near her eye brow, and her eye was swollen. “You need to learn how to fight and stop letting these hoes jump on you shawty, better start clocking them hoes with a motherfucking bottle or something” I told Jade. “I told her to start carrying a knife, so she can gut them hoes” Ace said. I shook my head. Nigga was ruthless for no reason. I walked into my room and went to my stereo. I went through my CD’s I burned. I put the cd in the player and pressed play. “Créme de la créme homie, Top Shelf ya know. I like my beat down low down low down low down low, I like my top led back led back led back” T.I - “Top Back” blasted through my speakers. I grabbed my car magazine, took a pen and begin circling the cars I planned on getting when I get some big money. My Nokia started ringing. I looked at my caller id, it was my little shawty Jalissa. “What up Girl?” I asked. I heard her giggle on the phone. “O, you busy later?” She asked. I sat up on my bed. “Nah, why what’s up you trying to kick it?” I asked. She hesitated. “Something like that, T.I movie ATL just came out and I want to know if you trying to see it with me, maybe at Starlight on Moreland it starts at 10:15pm?” She asked. I smiled, I knew what she was getting at. “Sure, Ima pull up around 9, maybe we can get some snacks and some shit” I told her. I could hear her smile through the phone. “Aight bet” I looked at the time. It was 5:57. I started dialing Demetri’s number. “Yo who is this?” He answered. “This O from the gas station, I asked you about a job” I said. “Aight Ima call you back”. He hung up. I then got a call from another phone number. “Hello?” I asked. “What’s up O, rule # 1 the feds always watching so never call me about business or call anyone on your actual phone, Ima give you a phone when I see you, meet me tomorrow @ 12pm Ima send you my address” He said then hung up.

 Ace: age 15

 “Why you let the hoes talk shit about you?” I asked her. She was sitting at my desk at my computer. She was adding music to her Myspace. “They say

She turned and looked at me. “No, why would you even ask me that, them bitches be lying. Niggas always trying to get in my pants. Even grown ass men” She said looking at me like she regretted what she said. “Forget I said that” She said. “Why do you even care?”. I shrugged. “I mean, I don’t if you did but like you kind like my little sister so I want to know”. I said. She rolled her eyes. “Sister?” She asked. She got up and put on her shoes. “Well you the one always knocking on my window at damn random times of the night needing a place to sleep, like you ain’t got your own” I said to her. She pushed me out the way. I balled my fist up. I had a bad temper, and she knew it but when it came to her, I never showed her that side. “What you going to hit me?” She said she was holding back watery eyes. “Go ahead, I’m used to it” She said. I looked at her wondering who was hitting on her. Was she talking about fighting? “Thanks for having me over Ms. Traci” I heard her say before the door shut to the front door. I debated on going after her, but I didn’t. I looked through my contacts. I remember the girl from at the gas station. “Hey baby girl what’s up?” I asked. “Who is this?” She asked. “You forgot about me that fast baby, its Ace” I said. I heard her smile. “Ohhh yeah, Ace. You want to kick it right now? My mama ain’t home” She said. I got up slowly. “Oh, for real?” I asked. “Yeah, Ima send you my address. I live at the apartments right across from the gas station” She said. “Okay Ima slide through” I hung up the phone. “Hey mama I’ll be back Ima go to my friend Raheem house” I told her. She nodded. I went outside and started walking to the gas station it wasn’t too far from my house like a 30min walk. “Ace where you headed?” My homie Calvin said pulling up beside me. “To this bitch house” I told him. He nodded. “Get in folk, I take you” He said. I nodded. I looked at his outfit he had on all purple. “Where you headed looking like a got damn grape Fanta?” I asked.  I pulled up my pants and buckled my belt. “So, my mama going to be gone, around this time every Friday” She said. I smiled and nodded. “What school you go to I ain’t never seen you around” I said. She smiled. “I go to Jefferson Highschool, what about you?” She asked. I started laughing. “How old you is?” I asked. She was putting on her bra. “17, how old are you?” She asked. I smiled big as fuck. “I’m 15” I told her. She shook her head. “Boy you look 18, dang you must be in what 8th grade?” She asked. I nodded. “Yeahh you can be my cuddy buddy, you ain’t old enough to be my man” She said.  Jade: age 14

 I was sitting on the stairway near our apartment writing music in my journal like I normally did listening to Ashanti and Lloyd “Southside” on my CD Player. “Jade get yo dumb ass in here” My aunt Felicia said. I sighed and walked inside. I closed the door and went into my room. “It’s almost the end of the school year. You got what 2 weeks left before summer vacation. It’s about time you get a damn job and start paying rent around here, you got to earn your keep. Ain’t bout to live up in here rent free” She said in the door way. I scoffed at her. “I’m 14, I can’t legally get a job until I’m 16 that’s not fair” I stressed. She put her finger in my face. “I started working for my foster mother at age 12, she used to sell me for $50, and I would get 10%. So, if I can do it so can you, and what the fuck happened to yo got damn face” She said. I looked at her. “I got into a fight with this girl” She shook her head. “What you do now fuck her man, you just like your mama” She said. I sighed. “No and Why didn’t you just let foster care take me!” I yelled. She grabbed my arm. “I did you a favor, Me and your mama bounced from foster care to foster care. She begged me to never let them take you, so I took you in after her stupid crack head ass ran off. That’s least I could do for her after she fucked my man and had you” She said. I started tearing up, I tried to snatch my arm away from her. She pushed me on to the bed. “Like I said you have 2 weeks or Ima let your ass go” She said. She slammed my door. I hated my life; my life didn’t used to be like this. I had two parents a mother and a father. My dad used to be there all the time and then one day he just wasn’t. My mama couldn’t take the pain of him leaving so she got hooked on drugs when I was 5. She been clean off and on when my dad was around but when he left it got worse. My aunt to eventually take me in before foster care put me in the system because My mama had left me in the house one day when her and her boyfriend James was cooking crack on the stove. My house caught on fire while I was sleep. I ain’t seen my mama since that day. I decided to write in my journal again, that was my haven, writing and listening to music. “My Life” By Mary J. Blige played on my stereo as I cried. My Aunt Felicia busted into my room. “Get yo ass up and come eat and stop blasting music in my house” She said. I wiped my tears and went to go sit down at the table. It was Kraft mac n cheese and hot dogs cut up in it. My Aunts boyfriend Rodney sat down with two bags of McDonalds and they started eating. My aunt either cooked me this or beanie weenies, Ramon noodles with hot dogs or sometimes just some bread and butter. I kept my head down while I ate my food. “Jade clean this shit up while I’m gone. I want all that food gone by the time I get home or Ima beat your ass” She said. I nodded. She went over to Rodney, practically sucking his face off before she left. He got up and locked the door. He pulled out an apple pie out his bag. “Got you something sweet, sweetness” He told me. He slid it to me. Rodney was always nice to me but I knew something about him wasn’t right. “Thanks” I said. He sat in the chair next to me. “You know you are very pretty” He told me. I nodded. I got up quickly, as he grabbed my arm back over to him. “I ain’t going to hurt you”. He said. “Sit on my lap” He said. “No!” I yelled as he tried to get me to sit on his lap. I got my arm lose and ran to my room. I closed my door and locked it. I grabbed some clothes put it in my school bag and slid my window open. Rodney burst into my room. I quickly jumped onto the ac unit under my window. I ran to the other side of the complex, I seen Niggas was playing dice in the stair way as I walked to Ace complex. “What’s good lil mama you tryna sell some ass?” I heard. I shook my head. I got to Ace building and walked to the side of it. I tapped on his window. I ain’t see no movement. I tapped again. “So, you back?” I heard a voice behind me. It was Ace. It was dark, so I couldn’t see his face very good. He came over to his window and did something to it and it slid open and climbed inside slowly. He was wincing like he was in pain. I followed him soon after. “If I ain’t home and you need a place to lay your head just lift up the screen and slide. O taught me that trick” He turned on his light and I see his face. He eye was swollen, and his lip was bug as hell. He was limping around. I walked over to him. “Ace you okay?” I asked. He nodded. “I’m part of Westside 5 now” He said smiling with his teeth bleeding. He held up a shirt and a bandana. I shook my head at him. “You stupid, you got jumped in?” I asked. He nodded. “Yeah but they make hella money” I kept shaking my head. “You stupid as hell Ace” I told him. He sucked his teeth in. “Why you over here anyways?” He asked. I shrugged. “Cause I hate it at my aunts house” I told him. “She be hitting you?” He asked. I shrugged. “Sometimes, she said I got to get a job soon” I said. “I think she want me to sell my ass” I told him. He was in his boxers looking at me. “She got me fucked up, I ain’t bout to let you do that. I got you man. I’m get you some money” He said. He threw me a shirt and some boxers. “Well maybe I can get jumped in” I said. He limped over to me grabbing me. “Don’t say shit like that” He said. We looked at each other for a minute. “I’m just playing sorry” I went into the bathroom in the hall way to change. When I came back in the room. Ace was icing his face. I shut the door and went to lay down on the bed. “As long as I’m here I got you J” He said. I nodded. I put my headphones on and listened to my cd I had burned. “Nobody going to love me better, I must stick with you forever, nobody going to take me higher, I must stick with you. You know how to appreciate me, I must stick with you my baby. Nobody ever made me feel this way, I must stick with you” I was feeling the lyrics of the Pussycat dolls. I started writing in my journal.

So I called the owner of the broker company who told me that he would gladly backdate the policy upon the notion that AIG would accept it and they said that they would. Then the owner called me back stating that his broker that issued the policy already gave a recorded statement to the insurance company stating that he did not remember us requesting the added driver to the policy so he cant help us or he would lose his license as a broker by recanting on a recorded statement so he then told me to make the adjuster take the recorded statement off the record and they will do it but it is illegal to even ask them to do that. Our Policy has canceled several other times due to this broker not turning in the proper paper work to AIG. I explained to him numerous times and a week later my mom calls me at work and says gieco called and my friend is suing them. she also said he has a lawyer. He's suing for bodily injury! I had a collision a few weeks before and it is classified as collision damage. I’m gonna vent a little on here because I got some bad news and I’m sad 😞 & no one knows me personally on here. I’ll call this:

The Life of being a Drug Addicts Sister.

I have three brothers and they’re all on meth. Here’s a little backstory to kind of understand what’s going on now.

My dad married his first wife back when he was 28. They had three boys. The oldest is H, the middle one is G, and the youngest one is C. My dad and his wife had a house in Mexico and my dad would go back and forth from California to Mexico. His wife didn’t have papers, and it took a while to fix her papers. They eventually had their first born in Mexico, (H). When everything was all set for her to enter the U.S. they moved and found a home in California where my dad would work. Soon came their second child, (G). A few years later they had their last child, (C). My dad would work 6 days a week and 12 hours a day. His wife also worked but a part time job, so she can be home with the kids. I believe it was September 24th, early in the morning she unfortunately got into a car accident. She died instantly. She left behind her three babies at the ages of (H) 9 years old , (G) 6 years old, & (C) 2 year old. My dad eventually married my mom, and a year later they had me. Honestly, it was not easy for my mom. The kids (H & G) didn’t want my mom there, which is understandable. They knew who their mom was & didn’t want anyone else taking her spot. My mom had no intentions on ever taking her spot or making them call her mom or anything they didn’t want to do. They eventually warmed up to her. My mom raised them as best as she could & treated/loved them as if they were her own kids.

To be honest, I have the best momories with my three brothers. They NEVER made me feel any different because i had a different mom than them. I remember (C) taught me how to ride my bike without my training wheels but I crashed the first time because I didn’t know how to stop lol I remember (G) telling me funny stories one night because I had a nightmare & how to tie my shoes lol. I remember (H) taught me how to not take shit from anybody, to always stand up for myself. We would all play Pokémon ALL day. We would watch rugrats, spongebob, and rocketpower was our favorite. I remember being traumatized after I watched chucky and threw all my dolls away! Lol

My oldest brother (H) eventually started getting into trouble with the police at the age of 14. He had friends that weren’t the best influences, and they would go around town tagging on walls. Not gonna lie, my brothers graffiti was pretty sick. Lol but ever since then my parents have struggled with trying to get him into the right path. He eventually moved in with his girlfriend and had his apartment, a stable job, things were looking good for him.

My other brother (G), is or I should say was the smartest person I knew. He always had good comments from his teachers and always had straight A’s. He had a bright future ahead of him. He would give me and (C) the best advice for school, life, etc.

The youngest of the three (C), was not the best in school. I’d say he was street smart instead of book smart lol. We were the closest, probably because we were the closest in age. He also taught me to not take shit from anyone. They made me one tough cookie lol.

I grew up such a tomboy lol My brothers wouldn’t let me listen to what they would call “little bitch” music lol thanks to them I grew to love a genre of music that people would be surprised that I listen to now because I eventually became such a girly girl listening to fucken Taylor Swift & Justin Bieber lol.

I still remember the first incident that happened. I was 15 years old when I found out that the oldest (H) was smoking crystal. (H) had moved back home with us because it didn’t work out with the girlfriend he dad. I had just came home from cheer practice & I found (H) & (C) fighting because (H) was tweaking it at the house. I didn’t say anything to my parents because... I don’t know why I didn’t but I should have.. maybe things would be different. Ever since that day, little did I know my life would change forever. One year my parents, (C), & I went to Mexico in December. (C) decided he wanted to go to ATL with his moms sister because he got tired of living in California.

I remember crying and telling (H) to stop doing drugs. It was changing him to someone i didn’t even recognize. I thought that was the worst it would get. I look back now and laugh because it got so much worse. He got so bad sooo fast. He would hang out with his little tweaker friends and bring them to the house. He had this one friend AJ, that’s his real name; I’m telling y’all his real name because fuck him lol. He would STAYYYYY going to the house hella on one. My parents told him relentlessly that he ain’t welcome. Aj obviously doesn’t give a fuck because he kept going. My dad didn’t know what else to do, so he bought him a plane ticket to ATL so he can sober up while he was staying with his moms sister which (C) was also there. (C) eventually came back home because he was homesick, but (H) stayed over there. Let me tell y’all. (H) got sooooooo FAT, I was beyond happy because when he was home with us, he was nothing but bones. I thought it was going to be different, I thought he would change his life for the better. (H) eventually came back home also because he was also homesick. Not going to lie, I was skeptical because he was 2 years sober and I didn’t want him to go back to the way he was. He came back Nov. 29 and TWO weeks later... he started tweaking agian. My heart was shattered, I was completely let down.

During this time, (G) met a girl (X) and eventually they were unseparatable. (G) had a stable job, and (X) did too. They lived together in an apartment in the city. They first had a little fubaby that I adored and loved because my furbaby was his brother lol a little down the road (X) gave us the best news, she was pregnant! the first baby in the family! Little baby (P) was about 8 months when things started to spiral out of control.

At this point, (H) was out of his mind. He had literally first fought everyone at the house at this point including my dad, well besides my mom. I remember (G & C) literally fighting him for him to either stop doing drugs or to get the fuck out. This was in February 2017. The cops were called at least 4 times a week. Things obviously didn’t get better but (H) moved in with my dads sister so things were ok.

Here’s when things get weird.. (G) was being really weird, and paranoid. He always kept saying that people were out to get him. He was building this shed for my dad because he was going to school for construction and wanted to build something. He got really paranoid at work also, saying that they were plotting against him to get him fired. So he quit. He started building that shed full time now. He wouldn’t leave the house till like 3 am. Which my dad was really concerned. I also had a bad feeling, he had never ever acted that way. I should’ve seen the signs they were so clear and I’m my face.. I would find globies & baggies in his trailer where he kept his tools which he was the ONLY one that had keys to it. He would always blame (H) but I should’ve known.. I was in denial. (G) could not be smoking crystal, that would be ridiculous he knows better than that especially dealing with (H). The one thing I never thought would happen, happened. (G) was tweaking it too. Little after that, I found out (C) was too.

One day (G) & (C) & (H) & AJ we’re outside and I was inside with some friends. I hear yelling & I knew they were fighting. So went outside. (H) tried to stab (G) in the eye with scissors. If it wasn’t for (G) wearing glasses, he probably would’ve got stabbed. (G) pressed charges, and (H) was booked in jail. It’s sad to say but I was relieved. There was nights I would go out looking for him to come home. Some days I worried if he would even come back. (G) was wrongfully imprisoned because he was at a certain place at the wrong time. There was a robbery at a bar & (G) walked by & they assaulted him & robbed him too. (G) came home and our house got raided at 3 am because they thought (G) did it. He was in jail for about 2 weeks & was let out July 15. & guess what (H) was let out July 16. It was bittersweet to see (H). I have to be honest. My mom & I did go visit him in jail various times & gave him money so he can buy food because I felt bad because jail food does not sound appetizing. (H) was sober and I thought I was getting through to him. Literally a DAY later they started tweaking again. And once again I was let down, completely and utterly disappointed. (C) was changing dramatically as well. There’s things I’ve seen and heard that I will never forget. I’ve witnessed too many traumatizing situations. I’ve witnessed (G) trying to run over (C). They all changed from day to night so quickly. They all fought all the time. It hurt me so much because they were not the same loving brothers that I fondly remember. I tried so hard and far too many times to try to get them to change. The last fight I had got in was with (C). It tore me apart, it broke me. He said foul things to me but the one thing the ONE thing that pushed me over the edge.. “ I have no sister “ in that moment I couldn’t handle it anymore. My depression was at its worst and hearing that since we were so close destroyed my soul. I went into my room completely numb, just defeated. I overdosed on promethazine. I just wanted everything to be over at the moment. I didn’t want to feel the pain anymore. You know some people wake up from nightmares and realize it was just a dream.. well everyday I would wake up to my nightmare realizing it’s very real. I was transferred to a behavioral center from the hospital which was fucken traumatizing. I was there for 3 days, which were the longest days of my life. But I can say I learned a lot while I was there. I joke about it now, like fuckkkk I actually went to a behavioral center my life is fucken dope. but it all seriousness, for the people that are severely depressed, I recommend going to a center. There are therapist that talk to you on a daily basis & groups that you participate in that you can vent and share what brought you there. Sometimes it’s good to just talk to people that you don’t know who you are and no judgement from what you share. The first thing I did was eat Carl’s Jr. when I was released lol.

(G) was so far gone, he was a completely different person. He would ask us if we were ourselves and ask for our social security numbers to see if it was really us or if we were sent from the government to spy on him. He honestly resembled schizophrenic behavior. I will forever remember what (H) told me.. “HES JUST BEING CREATIVE” (X) put a restraining order on (G) because he was relentlessly harassing her at her home & didn’t want baby (P) to be near (G) because it’s honestly scary to be around someone like that. He violated the restraining order and was thankfully put in jail. During this time I no longer communicated with any of them. I decided that I needed a break from all the drama and sadness. So I bought a plane ticket to Mexico for October 15th. I didn’t tell anyone, besides my parents. (G) was let out October 3rd I believe. It was hard for me but I learned the hard way. I didn’t talk to (H, G, C). I didn’t want to go through the pain again. Because let’s be real. Once you get a taste of that drug and you get hooked on it, there’s not a question if you’ll ever go back on it.. it’s a matter of time WHEN you go back on it. I’m not saying all people can’t sober up from it but from MY experience they always go back.

So here we are December 27. I called (X) and she let me know (G) is back on it. I knew he would eventually but I wanted him to change his life for his daughters. (H, G, C) will never be the same, and I’ve accepted it. My parents, (X), friends, and I have tried numerous times to get them to change but they don’t want to. I learned the hard way that you can’t change people in who you want them to be. I always thought that it was because they lost their mother that they fell into drugs. I don’t know what it’s like to lose a parent, but I know I’m my heart their mother wouldn’t want this life for them.

As for me, I quit my job & I stopped going to school so I could stay home to protect my mother from them just in case they ever did anything. I stopped living my life because I was trying to save theirs. I’m going to try ONE last time to try to get them to go to rehab. But I have to start living my life, I’m 22 years old, I’m too young to be feeling like I’m 40. I’m putting them in Gods hands. Nothing is going to stop me from my plans and dreams. I’m going to work hard, so my parents won’t have to. They’ve been through enough. I am the one who is going to look after my parents when they get old. I can honestly say, this made me a stronger person. I’m no longer in that mentality where I wanted life to just end for me. Life is so beautiful & too precious to be sad. So here’s to 2018, nothing but smiles & happiness.

"Happy Birthday Vic!" I heard my family shout from besides me. I groan but get up. I sit up on my bed and rub the sleep off of my eyes and look at my family. My brother is standing there smiling and holding a blue envelope. My mom is holding a camera taking pictures, of course. And my dad is holding a medium sized cake, with the words "Happy 17th birthday Vic" written in cursive with blue icing. "Smile sweetie." My mom said, and I smiled at the camera because I wanted to make her happy. "Oh your so big now mijo." She said hugging me still with that big smile on her face. "Oh let's go cut your cake,and then you can open your present that Mike picked out for you" she said walking out the door. My dad followed her a few seconds later and my brother stood around until they left. He walked closer to me until his lips were a few inches away from my right ear. "Your going to love your present" he whispered and walked out. Leaving me with a confused and excited mind. ☾☾☾☾☾☾☾ I walked downstairs already dressed in just some plain black skinny jeans, some vans, a red beanie and a red All Time Low shirt. Aka my favorite band. Once I got to the kitchen I saw everyone sitting down at the table. There was four plates of food. Toast, bacon, eggs, and pancakes. And last but not least the cake and the envelope were in the middle. Ugh I just wanted to open it. "Sit down and eat Vic." My dad said to me while picking up his fork. "Oh and you and Micheal aren't going to school today because one it's your birthday and two you guys already missed two periods." My mom said chuckling at the end. ☾☾☾☾☾☾☾ "Time for cakeeee!!" My mom shouted overly excited. We just finished eating. And let me tell you it was probably the weirdest thing ever. My mom kept talking, and then my dad kept laughing, very oddly I might add. And me and mike just sat there waiting for them to finish their "little" chat. My mom picked up a knife that was next to the cake and told me to hold it. How did I not notice it earlier what the fuck. "Here cut the cake while I take pictures" she said smiling. I grabbed the knife correctly and cut the cake. I heard the flash go off which meant my mom just took the picture. I cut four pieces of vanilla cake, one for everyone. We finished eating our cake and my mom finally asked me if I wanted to open the present. The stupid present that was on my mind this whole time. She handed me the blue envelope and without even thinking I ripped open the envelope. I almost screamed at what was inside. I went up to mike and hugged him which caused him to start scratching my arms because he couldn't breathe. "Thanks! Oh my god, oh my fucking god. I'm seeing All Time fucking Low! Oh my god, when is this?" I was overly excited right now. Who wouldn't be happy that they are seeing their favorite band live. And being front row at the concert. I'm literally going to cry. "The concert is tonight at 7 and it's 12 right now so you have a couple of hours." She said picking up the dishes and walking to the sink. I excused my self from the table and walked up to my room with the atl ticket in my hand. ☾☾☾☾☾☾☾ It's currently 6:27pm and the concert starts at 7. Good thing the concert is downtown. I grabbed a black beanie and started walking downstairs. I was wearing a black atl crewneck, some black skinny jeans with rips on the knees and my black vans. I reached the living room and saw my parents and mike watching some soap opera. Ew. I cleared my throat to catch their attention. "I'm ready ma" I told my mom who was now looking at me. "Oh I forgot, let's go!!" She said standing up and walking to the table where she left her keys. We walked out the door and made our way to my moms car. *imagine an awkward car ride with atl playing in the background* ---Outside the venue--- "Bye ma I'll text you when it's over" I told my mom closing the car door. "Bye sweetie, have fun!" She called back to me and started driving away. I got line to get into the venue when I saw a boy around my age with jet black hair, and pale skin fall on the ground next to me. "Ow" he said quietly. I just watched him, not in a creepy way, as he stood up. After dusting himself off he turned around and caught me staring. "Hi!" He said happily. He had a soft yet loud voice, and his eyes were amazing. They were blue yet green with a bit grey in them. "Hey" I said kind of awkwardly. Actually no, really awkwardly. "What row are you? Ya know, you're cute. OMG WE COULD BE SITTING NEXT TO EACHOTHER!!" He asked and yelled out the last part. When he realized what he said he blushed and hid his face behind his hair, which I gotta say was adorable as fuck. I chuckled "I'm front row and in seat 182, and your not so bad yourself " I said with a little more confidence "OMG WE ARE SITTING NEXT TO EACHOTHER IM SEAT 181! Wait what?" He said finally realizing what I said. "Nothing" I said losing all my confidence. I looked over at him again and saw he had a disappointed look in his face. Now I felt bad. I saw that he still wasn't in line so I pulled him into line. He almost fell but they would've made him go all the way in the back if he didn't get in line. ---inside concert--- "Now give it up for All Time Low!!" The guy on the stage called. Everyone started screaming and chanting 'All Time Low'. The concert has been overall fun which is good. All Time Low came out and the crowd got even louder. I probably wont be able to hear tomorrow. "Hey guys!" Alex (the lead singer) yelled to the crowd. "How have you guys been this fine ass day?!" He called out and everyone started yelling answers like 'yes' 'great' 'I love you guys' 'have my kids alex'. "That's great! Anyways we are looking for someone in the crowd today to write a song with. We will choose a random seat number after our set and the winner will be able to write a new song for our new album!" He yelled once again. The crowd started getting even louder. I really hope I don't get chosen. Honestly mostly everyone will be happy to write a song with their favorite band but I can't sing. ---After atl's set--- "Okay guys, we have decided" Jack called out to the crowd. "And the winner is seat number.......182!!!" The whole band called out at once. Wait. Shit thats my goddamn number. "Number 182, you out there?" Alex called out while everyone was just looking around to see who won. "Dude thats you. Just go up there, its not like they are going to hurt you." I heard blue eyes call out to me. I should just man up and go up there. I mean I dont really have a choice. I got up on my seat and yelled "ITS ME" I had to yell because of all the noise. A security guy that was in front of me pulled me up and over the barricade so I can get to the stage. I went up some stairs and made my way to Alex, who was in the front of the microphone. "We have a winner!!" Alex yelled over the roaring crowd. "Whats your name?" Zack asked me, bringing the microphone he was holding closer to my face. oh god. "V-Vic" I said into the microphone. "Well Vic, you will be able to write and produce a new song and music video with us. Are you excited?" Zack asked me. "Yeah!" I said exactly yet nervous at the same time. because fuck, I'm literally going to write a song with my favorite band. Hopefully I don't fuck this up.......
