Okay a maybe weird but genuine question…
#Meow.#It was first suggested that I might be autistic when i was about 13#by the counselor that i went to for my anxiety#because i cried and played with my hands during our first session and could only nod or shake my head to communicate#my mom said Im probably not autistic because i understand sarcasm too well#But on the other hand i was obsessed with learning about animals when i was young. Any and all.#i could show you where to find any book on any animal in the elementary school library.#Then I obsessed over pokemon for a few years. Then my little pony. And the Amazing world of gumball. And steven universe#And now the tbd#And to be clear the obsessions were intense enough for me to be known for them throughout middle and high school. Especially mlp.#My classmates didnt want me requesting songs because i was ‘probably just going to play My Little Pony music’#And I didnt really ‘make friends’#Friends came to me. And always the ‘weird kids’ because i was the only one not immediately annoyed or put off by them#But I think my mom only started taking the idea seriously when I cried because she insisted on moving a lamp…#that I had spent the last hour thinking about moving#At age 18-19#But now she’s all ‘everyones a little spectrum-y though :)’#while at the same time going ‘Thats my ADHD for ya!’ when she misplaces something.
