#alli says shit #u.s. politics #it makes me a lil sick tbh #like as a black woman the right to vote is not smth i take lightly #my mom often recounts a story of my grandma making sure my uncle voted when he was 18 #n i remember that within that uncle's lifetime the fucking voting rights act was passed #like actually voting in african american history does have an interesting story but that's not the point #but my point is IF REPUBLICANS DON'T WANT U TO VOTE THIS IS WHY #to me the only reason trump was also able to win the popular vote was voter turnout #i don't know if this is fact don't @ me but #jesus christ #i don't wantr ANYONE trying to tell me why they still think they're morally superior for not voting #u knew the threat and ignored it
