A lot of English speakers will default to male and female! I myself as an English speaker who is. Also a woman, have used female a couple times when I'm not thinking to hard. It's a word choice, and a very american one it seems. Ultimately, he wasn't meaning it to be dehumanizing, and I feel in the context it was used in, he most likely wasn't thinking about what he was saying and the specifics of it yknow? Not trying to say your feelings are invalid, more so just offering a different perspective

In my mind female and male is like a word you'd use for animals and shit and ofc people in certain situations.

But it just felt so out of left field to me.

I'd say it feels weird because in czech those words are used SPECFICIALLY for animals and never human beings in basically in any context.

And while I know female and male is used for people in English it is still very weird and feels just. I don't know how to say it I'm giving up FJVJKFG
