ugh… you know what's been on my mind lately?? neighbor!au with all my favorite men - but especially simon! here are some of my thots;

he's so... awkward and off-putting. in the sweetest way. like a stray dog that's only allowed to bite you. neighbor!simon, who's the perfect coresident. rarely home, and if he is, you don't even notice! except for those awkward elevator rides...

obviously, simon being the most vehement introvert, does his best to avoid him. but it's a shady apartment building. things happen; maintenance or rowdy visitors blocking the stairway. so sometimes it's easier to suffer thirty seconds of agonizing silence.

there was you. across the hall from the strange, intimidating man. it's difficult not to be frightened, especially when his way of communicating is through grim eye contact, or god forbid a deep sigh when you accidentally bump into him.

neighbor!simon is never upset with you, though. grumpy is merely his default :( for many reasons. but he always feels awful when you give him that anxious look or go out of your way to make space for him in the narrow hall.

it's not every day he meets someone like you, quiet and respectful of his boundaries. let alone live next to. so... he began to make peace his own way. taking advantage of him always being up at dawn; salting the pavement by your patio to ensure your safe commute to work. cleaning up the stack of mail that the courier tossed at your box, tucking it in neatly.

aaaand eventually moves on to more outgoing gestures. knocking on your door, two little taps with his knuckle. asking if you heard "that noise" outside, purely to make sure you were alright. partially his overthinking getting the better of him, also a cheeky move on his part to see your face.

finds a way to learn more about you, even when you're at your most bashful. typically, when he's caught you in your nightclothes, all pampered and ready for bed. next to him, you feel ridiculous, as if he's not wearing the most basic athleisure.

sometimes neighbor!simon will lean against the entrance of the building, watching cars and listening to the city noise. but he isn't out there for fun. in his mind he's waiting on someone; you. when he hears the creak of the rickety door opening, his posture becomes even straighter than usual.

"bloody cold out here, isn't it?" his gruff voice murmurs, breath visible with every word. months ago, the presence would've startled you. but you'd grown used to his very predictable, unpredictable routine of running into you.

you sigh out your words, rubbing your icy fingers together. no gloves, he notices, but doesn't acknowledge. "why aren't you inside, simon? place is pretty cozy if you look past the water damage."

simon scoffs, "i like the cold," he places his hands into his pockets and reaches for the door handle. "y' workin' today, love?" he inquires, despite noticing your work bag slung over your shoulder.

you mutter an unenthusiastic 'yes', exhaustion evident in your features. it's too damn early for you to be out and about, struggling to make ends meet.

he hums to himself as he walks away, waiting until your figure disappears before crossing the street. he's on his way to the nearest shop.

that evening, when you return to your flat with dragging feet, there's no sign of neighbor!simon. out front, out back, or in the hall. only sign of life is the flickering lamp peaking under the gap of his front door. frankly, you're too exhausted to think about it much.

you raise your key to the lock, stepping forward when it gives way. something blocks your foot, nearly sending you tumbling forward. you peer down at the quaint gift box, nearly embarrassed at the tumble it gave you. proves that your post-work tunnel vision is no joke.

curiously, you examine it. no fancy wrapping paper, plain cardboard. and in place of the ribbon is some decorative twine, halfway decently tied into the shape of a bow. with a gentle tug, you release it and take off the lid. the aroma of cardboard is stronger now, as well as a spritz of a very familiar cologne.

gloves; knitted and coordinated to match your winter jacket. you smile to yourself, taking one last look at simon's door behind you, just as he shuts off the lamp for the night, the spotty yellow glow ceasing.

waiting on you to get home safe, no matter how late. of course, there's a price tag on them. he's not that showy, or crafty. anything he'd try to knit would end up a crumpled slab of yarn.

stepping inside your flat, you set your things down on the counter and run your finger over the soft, thick material. you can already picture the relief these will be on your walk, no longer clocking in with stiff, frozen fingers. new winterwear was on your list for months, but you're notoriously bad at gifting yourself nice — basic — things. and apparently, it shows.

the hollow box rattles when you set it down, as do your keys. finally, you slip them on, thinking of all the days you passed your neighbor simon. never knowing how observant he could be, in the sweetest way.

and they're a perfect fit, of course.

A Quick Chat About AZ

Which won't be quick at all.

I've talked for a little about coming to understand Lysandre, and now I'd like to talk about AZ, who is still somewhat of a mystery to me. We know of his backstory, but what I'm missing is what defines his personality. We don't speak with him enough in game to know it, so I had to do some digging around so I can form some assumptions. Most of this post will be me using Canon and Non-Canon [But still official] sources to get a grasp on what kind of man AZ is, just in case we don't get more information about him in Legends ZA.

-I want to know what he's like, because I want to make more artwork with him. ^^'-

Before I get into what I've found, I want to first talk about a character who I think is clearly defined, by his sheer simplicity. That's right,

It's Larry.

Larry, for example, has very clear likes and dislikes. He's an overworked, professional, brooding, middle aged man, who has respect for rules and simplicity. He dresses plainly, and uses relatively ordinary or normal type pokemon. He's vocal and assertive of his preferred lifestyle, to the point of stubbornness [ of which is only thwarted by his desire for his paycheck]. He also loves food and the pursuit of an extraordinary meal. Despite his introvert-like demeanor, he's shown to be friendly, deeply contemplative, and hiding a quirky, dad joke-like sense of humor.

With all of this, I can extrapolate what kind of decisions Larry would make if I were to put him in a new non-canonical situation. And, I can also define where I'd like to bend or add on to his personality in my own form of fandom play.

Now, back to the main topic. All of this to digest with a grain of salt. I also apologize in advance if I hop around a little between sources.

AZ, I can only assume is underutilized because of his grand age. 3,000 years old, means 3,000 years of knowledge or a direct eye witness of history. He wondered in search of his best friend, gradually witnessing the world transition from ancient to modern. Chances are, he can answer regional mysteries that gamefreak wouldn't want to touch upon. So, he's here one moment, and then gone the next after serving his key purpose in the game narrative.

Which brings me to all of the other official items I looked into and some thoughts on his intelligence. I watched his appearance in the Pokemon Generations Episode 18: The Redemption. [ no one asked but i think i prefer the japanese voice much more ] And I also was given a data bank to look through Pokemon XY game script.

AZ build the ultimate weapon. Though, if he had any assistance with it, it's unspecified. IF I RECALL CORRECTLY, in the recent XY development leaks, Sycamore, Lysandre, and AZ were all the same character, before the role was properly divided into three. Still, I'm under the impression, that AZ wasn't just a king, but a well respected researcher.

There’s research material on the bookshelf [In Lysandre Labs] “The king was proud of the technology he had used to bring Kalos prosperity, but he couldn’t help but use it in a way that had never been intended... AZ, the man who was king, disappeared.”

I think, AZ being keenly intelligent, is an easy assertion to make. He could build and operate complicated machinery, and probably still can. There are even more side notes I can make about his more complex understanding of pokemon. I don't think I have the clarity of mind to pull out even more examples, so I'll use just this one:

AZ does have a Golurk of unspecified age on his small team. I wonder...is it possible he built his Golurk himself? There are many pokadex entries stating the creation of, and ancient use of pokemon in these old cities. AZ appears to understand the infinite energy that dwells within pokemon well enough to contribute to the society he ruled over. I don't think 'artificial' pokemon construction is beyond his understanding, if he knew well enough that he could bring one back to life.

Moving along.

After building the weapon to revive his friend:

"...his rage still had not subsided."

I absolutely love this flashback sequence. I love how they portrayed the rawness of AZ's emotions. The unnerving look in his eye as his horrific choice forms. You get the sense that he truly did just...snap.

Which Makes Me Wonder: How tethered is AZ to his emotions? Is he like Lysandre, who appears to allow himself to freely feel his own anger and frustration, letting it drive him to obssession. Does he have a slight sense of entitlement, too? Entitled to take the world's problems and other lives in his hands. If so, did he leave that wicked part of himself behind?

AZ is royalty. He's a former -literal- king during a time of war, unlike Lysandre who's a more metaphorical king during a time of general peace. That may be an excuse for him easily taking on, beyond important, harrowing decisions. I wonder if this was the most difficult point in his reign. That aside, AZ doesn't seem to be concerned with that title living in modern day.

He doesn't demand that he should be treated like his former title. I'm going to make another assumption that he has let that go a long time ago. He struggles with being forgiven, maybe even struggles with caring about himself. He's traded his old royal regalia, a robe, golden arm cuffs, and golden neck piece, for old, worn, patchy clothes. He doesn't care about his royalty, or his clothes, and AZ never makes any mention that I can remember about his own height.

None of it appears to matter to him. Only "where is she?"

Speaking of.

AZ's ability to hold on to hope is...something.

When yeh know for certain sure yeh ain’t never gonna meet again... Well, yeh can give in and accept it. But if yeh think there might be a chance, and yeh wander the world for 3,000 years tortured by that flicker of hope... I tell yeh, sprout. I couldn’t have stood it.

I don't think I could have stood it either. To not give up on his Floette for 3,000 years, to muscle through that torture until finally you meet again. What would you call the kind of 'grit' that would make you endure something like this? In the XY manga, he's plagued by nightmares of his past. He described his ordeal officially in the game as 'endless suffering'. Is it a certain kind of stubbornness? A kind of unconditional love? I'm not sure... AZ, in another one of my opinions, has got to be one of the series' most strong willed characters. You can't survive 3,000 years with weak resolve. He can't die of old age, but..well...

...

Despite the horrors he's capable of, he's got a gentle quality to him. I like the contrast, between a giant and a pokemon so delicate and tiny. I'm sure the juxtaposition of AZ and his Floette is purposeful, and in itself helps inform of his character.

This is from the Pokemon Adventure XY Manga, and isn't canonical, but...look at him. I found him greeting Trevor's Flabebe so sweet. He's respectful to the children also, and doesn't belittle them in the slightest.

His smile. He calls her beautiful, and she is! He has some stony expressions, but also some very softened ones in Anime, Game, and Manga. He hasn't lost his ability to smile after all this time. Which is nice...

OOF, I've been writing this for a long while, so I'll wrap things up. I can't trust myself to write a comprehensive summary, like Larry, at this time, but I hope to have one later. Again, I'm hoping Legends ZA will provide more before I start my true 'blorbo madness'.

Extraordinarily Intelligent, capable of making and operating dangerous technology. I believe he wasn't just a King, but a contributing engineer/ researcher.

Deeply emotional, allowing himself to openly cry, feel anger, and sorrow. Despite his intelligence, his emotions can cloud his judgement. THOUGH, he may have much more emotional maturity now. [ i find it interesting both he and lysandre are allowed to shed tears ]

Strong of will, or is a person of unwavering conviction.

Stern, somewhat of a languisher, but gentle.

He asks you what you're most excited to see during the trip, and when you mention puffins, he laughs. Eddie once stole bought him a mug that had a cartoon puffin in a muffin tin that said "puffin muffins" it's one of his favorites. You laugh and it fills his chest with warmth.

There's a little bit of turbulence and you instinctively reach out for each other. Luckily the rest of the plane ride goes by smoothly, but neither of you can deny the comfort and warmth you felt when you embraced.

When the plane lands, you tell him you hope this trip is everything he's ever dreamed of, and he thinks to himself "it's already better than I could have ever hoped" he gently grabs your hand as you say your goodbyes and you slip him a note you had written earlier when he had dozed off.

A lot of people tend to operate under the incorrect assumption that Carwood Lipton is a very serious man. He might be more introverted, more observant, more reserved than others, but that doesn't mean that he can't have a good time and joke around.

"And you didn't do anything?" You ask, trying hard to contain your laughter until the end of the story; if you burst into giggles now, so will Lip, and then you'll never know how it ends. "If I had to work with someone like Sobel, I think that I would be replacing the sugar in his coffee with salt to prove a point."

"In my defense, I really wanted to," Lipton admits brightly. "But I left that up to Nixon, because he had no qualms about it."

"Well, that's why you're a better man than most."

He pauses, drink halfway to his lips. He sets it down. "Do you really think that?"

What kind of question is that? And why does he sound so full of doubt? Who wouldn't think that Carwood Lipton is one of the best?

"Of course I do. Do you not believe me?"

Lipton shakes his head. He takes a long sip of his drink and then sits staring into it for a moment. Finally, he sighs, not quite meeting your eyes. "During the war . . . I did things. Things that - well - I don't know if I would say better than most, or even as good as - "

He stops when you reach across the table and take his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"Well, the war is over now. And I think that you're the best of them all."

Even in the dim lighting, you can make out the pink that tinges his cheeks - the effect that only words coming from someone who truly means them can have.

look i really don't want to be a killjoy, I don't want to be the "boomer" who over-criticizes movies because they don't get anything and refuse to have fun... Like, I really want to enjoy this and join in on the fun but I can't lie, I was so so so disappointed with the FNAF movie. I wasn't expecting anything good because i'm used to video game movie adaptations being terrible. And yet, I was still let down. It was worse than what I even imagined. And I see everyone going crazy over the movie and saying it was so good and legendary and all and I'm just... what? Did we see the same movie? Am I insane? Am I missing something? Did I reach that annoying "adult" stage of life where everything seems dull?

I don't want to sound like an annoying movie elitist youtuber that sound like they think they have it all figured out and know better than everyone (u know the kind i'm talking about). I generally don't know jackshit about movies, so please take everything I say with a grain of salt. My opinion doesn't hold much value. I'm honestly just trying to make sense of what I saw with this long ass post lol. SPOILERS AHEAD, just in case it wasn't obvious. I'll try to be as fair and precise as possible in what I liked and disliked.

Here's what I liked: the animatronics design was awesome, they really looked like the ones in the first game. The whole pizzeria too. That was cool. The actors were great. I think they did the best with what they had. I don't have anything bad to say regarding the acting. Gods, seeing Matthew Lilliard with white hair made me feel old (he was like my first celebrity crush when i was a 5 year old child, in the scooby doo live action). And seeing Josh Hutcherson playing what I thought to be a dad but turns out to just be a big brother ALSO made me feel old (aren't we just used to him always being someone's son in all his dang movies???). Also seeing MatPat was cool. I also like how they explored the whole theme of "you don't need to be rich to be a good parent/guardian or to make your child happy" as we saw with Abby and Mike vs the aunt, and I also like how abby being more introverted and into drawing wasn't seen as a necessarily bad thing. I liked those themes.

Here's what I disliked: Okay first. That whole backstory with Mike and his little brother, the "dream theory" thing. Very cool, a very nice concept to explore in a movie. HOWEVER, what the heck was this doing in a fnaf movie? Like, was it just me? idk i just think it was way too much of a side-plot... I know it was related because it's implied then confirmed that Afton took the little brother. But like... I don't know. It just seemed so freaking random and out of place? Like what are the chances are that this is the guy who took your little brother and that you end up working for him? It's just not the vibe at all I was expecting for a game about being a security guard in a haunted pizzeria? I thought we were going to see and feel the atmosphere that the first game gives, like being stuck in that tiny little room, realizing slowly there's something wrong with the animatronics, the panic as you watch the camera footage, the survival instinct kicking in as you try to rationalize it... Instead, Mike just slept through all of it to "solve" a completely different side-plot. (again, yes I know it's not really a side-plot since it was directly related in a way, but it really did feel like such a random, far away thing) And then the "ghosts" of the children appearing in the dream as if it's like something they do all the time... Idk man. This whole thing just felt so weird and out of place.

2nd thing I disliked: Abby being involved. I love her character, don't get me wrong, she was adorable, i love her to death. But her role in the story felt so... plot-convenient? Like oh the new security guard just happens to have a little sister the same age as the children who went missing and can see ghosts and likes to draw and one day she sleeps in there bc the babysitter is unreachable.

Speaking of the babysitter... That whole thing where they pair up with the evil aunt to sabotage Mike's career... Again, this just felt so... random? I don't know what other words to use. It just felt like it came out of nowhere.

Another thing I disliked. How quickly Mike just. Accepted that there were animatronics moving on their own because they're haunted with the ghosts of murdered children. And how he just casually builds a fort with them and Abby and Vanessa. Like... bro??? What are you doing? Aren't you worried? Aren't you scared? Confused? Listen I know the animatronics are supposed to be like goofy and all since, at the core, they're literally just children. But like... Idk this is just... not the vibe at all I was expecting? It completely took me out, honestly, like it just broke the immersion for me. I mean, come on. I don't care how psychic you are, how open-minded you are, if you see huge-ass animatronics moving on their own, you will be terrified.

Other thing I disliked: Vanessa as a character in general. Nothing against the actress (It's Beck!!!!!). Just... why the fuck did she even show up there in the first place other than for snooping around? She had honestly no actual cop business there. And why did she spend so much time there, on her actual job hours? makes absolutely 0 sense to me. This seemed to be only fan service (in reference to vanessa/vanny). I honestly genuinely do not have valid reasons for this one other than I just really didn't like her character in general.

Also... Why is no one mentionning the smell of the animatronics? Or how they would probably have attracted maggots and dangerous parasites? There are decades old bodies decaying inside them ffs... I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure you'd notice something is off about the smell pretty quickly. Even when the people went in to trash the place, their bodies stayed in the pizzeria for a whole 2-3 days after that while Mike and Abby were there. It's enough time for the smell to start hitting. Yet no one noticed...

Speaking of the bodies. It was a PG 13 movie. why? 8+ at most would've sufficed. Also... was it a horror movie, a comedy, a drama, a thriller? All of these? Because it felt like none of these. Like, it felt like it was trying to be a horror or a comedy, but just didn't commit fully. Idk how to explain it properly, it felt like it was holding back, in a sense.

Also when they electrified the animatronics, ngl, it felt like I was watching a bugs bunny cartoon.

I feel like there was sooooo much of the lore being dropped in the film, but in very awkward ways? Like it was trying so hard to appeal to the fans with all the little details of lore but it GIRL the fnaf lore is crazy heavy and complicated there was just no way you could plug it all in just one film... and yeah, that really kinda broke the pace of the movie, in my opinion. It was all revealed all at once, so bluntly? People keep saying "if you like the games and the lore you will love this movie" and for me it's like... no?? Quite the opposite? okay but i 100% agree with you. idk how you feel about him, but fus/himi is my least favorite character in this entire franchise (and this is coming from someone who usually loves dark haired assholes). He is one of the few characters i actually have a few things in common with (i.e. fucked up family dynamics, introvert who has trouble opening up to ppl, struggle in group settings, etc.), but im always ranging from strongly disliking or being neutral to him at best.

i think what i really cant stand about his character is that he is extremely woobified (by fans and within the show itself), and gets away with a lot of shit. like i love complicated and fucked up characters as much as the next guy, but shit man, i get why those stan twitter girlies pull the whole “but if this was a woman” card cause I seriously dont believe he would be as popular if he was a female character. fans would hate on him being a cold hearted bitch who’s obsessed with ya/ta and all that bullshit

Introvert way of life

You know when you're an introvert, you shouldn't be listening to music like Radiohead. I mean most of their songs sound gloomy and to top it off, the lyrics are just depressing. Unfortunately that's what I'm currently doing now. Sitting in my room alone with a glass of coffee listening to "fake plastic trees" by Radiohead. I've been drawing my vape with 5% salt-nicotine in it. I don't care anymore about my lung condition. I mean seriously, it must've been damaged severely now I can feel it.

I worked today, but luckily didn't have much to do. I'm bored though. Extremely bored. I'm like in a cage or something. I also feel like nobody can or willing to save me. I wonder why. Maybe because I don't scream for help. Fuck it who needs help anyway.

I remember when I was a kid, I like to talk to people. Making new friends and going out a lot. Growing up, the desire to talk to people and making new connections slowly fade away. When I hit high school, I think I talk to people online more than talking to people in person. Post grad, with all the problems, depressions, and stress I started to isolate myself. I don't talk much to people now, I never want to start a conversation with people I know. It's funny that I even hesitate to talk in a group call with strangers. Don't get me wrong, I do still want to talk to people. That's why I'm trying to find new people to talk to. Because I can talk about a lot of stuff with them, getting to know each other and stuff.

At this stage, I have totally lost interest of some things. Like football for example. Man I used to love watching football matches. I'm (or was) a diehard fan of AC Milan since when I was in the elementary school. I remember watching my brother playing winning eleven in PS1 and he always picked AC Milan, and how he woke up at like 2 in the morning to watch Milan game. That's what made me an AC Milan fan, yeah by just following him. It's been roughly a year or more since last time I watched football match. Now I have no interest in those, even if it's my national team playing just like now as I'm writing this.

I gotta admit that this loneliness is slowly wearing me out. But I don't know I think it's the power of being an introvert? I'm still holding on. I only got one thing in my head, it is to survive.

Alexander: The protagonist. Can talk to ghosts. Has more dead friends than alive ones. Doesn’t actually want to be a knight but he doesn’t want to disappoint his family. Flunked out twice. People think he’s dark and mysterious because he’s quiet, but in reality he’s often lost in thought and kind of absent-minded. Likes word puzzles, historical fiction, and going to the theater.

Aurora: Alex’s first friend at the Academy. Abandoned on the steps of a church as an infant, and raised by the priestesses. Wanted to join them as a priestess, but was given instructions to become a holy paladin instead. Chronic people pleaser. Doesn’t know why she’s here but she’s determined to do her best despite the odds being stacked against her. Apologizes a little too much.

Jericko: Practitioner of witchcraft and alchemy, with a special interest in magical creatures. Born as the third daughter of his family, but invented his own potion that transforms him into a more masculine form. Prefers studying and honing his craft to interacting with other people. Dry sense of humor. Secretly enjoys filling his spellbook with sketches. Like a cat, his trust is difficult to earn, but once he opens up to somebody, he is very loyal.

Felicie: A gray fox shifter. Comes from a family of fishermen that lived near a salt marsh. Was isolated from other children growing up due to magical abilities she couldn’t control. Loves turning everything into competitions. Cheerful and friendly, with a hint of mischievousness. Rarely loses her temper, but oh boy, do not be around her when she gets angry. She gently bullied Jericko into becoming his friend. She is the hyperactive-type ADHD to his inattentive-type ADHD.

Anju: A rakshasa, a subspecies of orcs. Comes from a family of blacksmiths. Earnest and hard-working. Passionate about the craftsmanship of weapons. Grew up with Vera, and views her as an elder sister. She earned a spot in the prestigious Sir Heron Knight Academy by complete accident, after she single-handedly fought off a group of thieves who were attempting to rob her father’s workshop. A little socially awkward, but trying her best.

Dorian: Half-human, half-vampire, and a powerful illusionist. Theatrical to the extreme, with a dash of flamboyance. His human mother is obsessed with vampires, and also very overbearing concerning Dorian’s health and safety. Merlyn is his girlfriend of many years. He loves her, but that does not stop him from flirting with every cute girl or handsome man that strikes his fancy.

Vera: A nightmare demon, which feasts on the fear of others. Anju’s childhood friend and role model growing up. Confident and headstrong, she is quick to dole out advice, but is allergic to constructive criticism. She was technically present during the attempted robbery that earned Anju her ticket to Sir Heron, so she was also offered a spot. Unlike Anju, Vera is hesitant about becoming a knight. However, she refuses to leave Anju’s side.

Merlyn: Half-human, half-succubus, and a talented sorceress. She loves Dorian, but she’s an extreme introvert that gets overwhelmed by his constant attention, and gave him permission to pursue other lovers. Her constitution is frail, so she’s often sick. Has a collection of various insects. Her favorite is a giant tarantula she has named Tarantella.

Hi! Same anon who has the UO that Delena is actually more similar to Bangel than it is to Spuffy :) A few more UOs about those shows if you're up for hearing them - I actually love Elena even more than I love Buffy, especially later seasons Buffy, and think I'd enjoy being friends with Elena more than I would with Buffy in real life. I think the fandom dislike of Elena is WAY overblown. But I'm a weird Elena stan so take that opinion with a grain of salt :) Another one is that I don't think Stefan and Angel are alike at all other than both being introverted, and even there Angel is a whole lot more introverted than Stefan. I like Angel a lot, especially once we saw his dorkier sides, and actually don't like Stefan much at all and don't think he's as good a man as he's made out to be. Finally, I really don't like the Cordy/Buffy dynamic much at all and hate Cordy's attitude towards Buffy in general. Fandom focuses on the three scenes where Cordy is decent to Buffy and ignores how she is the rest of the time. The more I rewatch the less I like Cordy in general, which I know is a very UO itself!

I definitely love Elena more than Buffy. She's way more relatable and easier to understand. She's a very warm and unique character imo -strong, clever, ruthless, while also being openly emotional, vulnerable and caring, but not in the usual protective mama bear kind of way. It's hard to explain, but, imo, while this description applies to Buffy too, Elena's characterization is more unique, excepting the existentialist themes of BtVS that Buffy portrays, though Buffy was probably more unique in her time and has become the standard since. I too would prefer to be friends with Elena. I think she'd be understanding of my fears and limitations and help me outgrow them.

I love Stefan and like Angel the least when he's dorky (season 3 is my least favorite AtS season). Imo, Stefan's as good as he's made out to be, even by human TVD standards - key word being "TVD".

I don't care for Cordelia and Buffy's dynamic either. I don't think it developed much past frenemies who mostly ignored each other when not directly competing with each other, and some of Cordelia's words about Buffy in AtS were awful. I'm also not the biggest fan of Cordelia.
