honestly spike is such a relatable character for me you dont even know

in earlier seasons hes very much the boy character surrounded by girls.

but however you then also have hints of him potentially liking girly stuff too, he just hides it because hes expected to act like a boy.

(this example from the ticket master specifically comes to mind, where he gets a ticket to the gala)

eventually as the seasons go on though (im too lazy to find an example for this if anyone reading this wants to go ahead) he becomes more confident in just being himself even if that means hes girly.

the show usually does it in a way where he says hes proud to be pony like despite being a dragon and such, but imo i think its pretty clear its supposed to mean smth relating to gender.

spike in early seasons being surrounded by girls and feeling like he has to be boyish very much reminds me of when i was younger (and still a guy) and would hang out with my cousins and stuff, seeing them all do girl things while i would just sit around feeling like i had to enjoy only my boy things.

spike eventually becoming more confident in just being himself also makes me think of how im starting to let myself just be myself now, being nonbinary and such.

Another one! Flash became a whole new character of himself because he's quiye bland already in Equestria girls. In my version he's more of an outcast and takes an interest in Twilight because he knows what it's like to be left out. He still plays guitar :) Spike had to be a human
