Oei was a monster, but how could Alatus ever hope to stand against her when she was all they had ever known? Even just speaking out of turn like this put them in a place of danger.

They shook their head, not trusting themself to speak. Their master was already upset with them, so what if they accidentally said the wrong thing? Alatus couldn't risk it. They wouldn't dare give her a reason to punish them.

So, they fell silent. If they didn't speak, they couldn't upset her, right? Just a mindless weapon aimed at whatever target she wanted... That's all they were.

my special little guyyyyyyyyy!! it would be a huge lie to say that scott is underrated because he definitely is not lacking for page time or story attention but i definitely don’t think most writers focus on the stuff i personally find really interesting about him.

this is probably controversial even in the scott enjoyer community but the thing that made it impossible for me to be normal abt scott ever was reading the progression of new x men (2001) -> utopia era -> bendiscanny. him losing jean and then losing his community and struggling and scrabbling desperately to preserve what was left of it just to be met with violence at every turn and being pushed into a corner and making mistakes and having everyone hate him for it? well! narratively that really hits. also obviously he has autism and we love that. still. that’s a lot of situations for one guy running a military dictatorship of 200 people on an island in the san francisco bay to be dealing with. he could stand to be in fewer situations but he’s just too popular and marvel is not calling me back abt my rachel miniseries featuring scott and nathan :/

anyway i’m basically always thinking abt scott and his powers and his relationship to them and how they impact what kind of mutant activism he has chosen to prioritize and how he feels abt being a semi-visible mutant and what being made the field leader of the x men as a teenager did to him and his handful of very messy romantic relationships and why they got so messy and how xavier is his dad and his collection of various time traveling children. if you’ve never read a scott fic and would like to have complicated feelings abt him also i highly recommend this one and this one

sefikura is such a conflicting subject to me cause. it combines my moms blorbos therefore i get a little -.- about it. on the other hand my mom is also very homophobic and hates it with a burning passion so i am very inclined to support it. sefikura shippers are fighting my fight but at the cost of me thinking "OH COME ON ENOUGH WITH THOSE GUYYYYYYYYYS". back in 2013 i think i showed my mom sefikura fanart of sephiroth getting fucked by cloud and she went on a rant about how it ruins their characters.
