my interp of them is always. ambiguous i guess ? don’t think they’re fully platonic but they’re definitely not really romantic . definitely not familial either . i basically think [& this is true for how i think about all of hmsw] that there just are not words for the ways in which they are odd about each other & nobody including them will ever understand it

suppose i wouldn’t call them a qpr because i think they wouldn’t have the vocabulary to call themselves that ? aforementioned not even They know what’s going on with them . & also i just like leaving them in that nebulous zone of Who Knows . but it’s probably the closest thing that makes sense . shrug !
