Hi!

I just wanted to share my theory for the balloons confession scene.

As we know, the event is for people who are scared to confess their feelings. Which doesn’t really apply to Mork, as he’s very vocal about his interest, and it’s clear to the whole campus. So I don’t think the organizers would’ve choose his story. That combined with the completely different features of the confessor, leads me to believe that they’ll do something similar to what happened to Pi in the first episode of FUTS.

So, a small action, a sticker (heart/rainbow) given to someone at a moment where they were completely ready to fall in love with other person.

I don’t think they’ll give a story to the confessor, we might only see him in the background.

And that’s my theory. I hope it makes sense.

so your theory is essentially that mystery guy is a random person who confesses to Pi and they’re just misleading us? That’s possible! I’m not sure I would like that kind of reveal lmao but just judging from his looks and the fact that neither Mork nor MN would make sense like you said, I can see that. It would be pretty underwhelming though lol bc why would they build it up like that? but still possible.
