If Veilguard were to have a DLC, which Companion Characters would you want to see return the most?

I find it SO interesting that I asked for 5, and there were 5 VERY CLEAR winners...

(Cole, Dorian, Fenris, Merrill, Zevran, by a veritable landslide; there’s over 100 votes between the lowest – Merrill (284), and the next highest – Cassandra (177))  

To those of you who can’t read: the HoF, Hawke, and the Inquisitor are NOT Companion Characters.

A lot of responses are focused on the lore. More are questioning the narrative & lore decisions & implications of VG. Some are begging for DLC. Some are flat out rude. One is a proposition. But there are a fair amount of people who want to ask you;

‘hope you're okay’

‘How are you holding up?’

‘I hope despite everything you know that your creation is loved and adored.’

‘THANK YOU!!!’

Intelligent fans know the development Hell VG went through to be born. They know corporate culture. They understand there's often more than meets the eye. Fans of Dragon Age know what heavenly good delicious golden content BioWare can make. And they're hungry for it. Take some well deserved rest, and then come back to the table with us, because we cannot wait for more.

dao is my favorite by far i think… i’m easy to please LOL it has my favorite story and i love the cast so much ;_;/ i played warrior lady cousland so i did marry alistair HUHU he’s my favorite romance across all the games but i wanna replay so bad to romance morrigan and have a diff silly little world state (trying not to think about doing this until after dav LOL) but god . HoF is just so so funny and i had so much fun…

da2!! i played blue warrior hawke <3 i liked running around kirkwall LMAO i think it was really fun to just contain the story around this one city and just hang out with my best friends 🥹 but goddamn. no one warned me about everything hawke goes thru LIKE 😭 HAVE A VACATION!!! i didn’t romance anyone though in my first playthru HAHA i kind of regret it though cuz by the end i wanted to romance isabela but i also think for my hawke i was happy to not have had a romance cuz it makes sense for my thoughts about her … like she’s just happy to still be alive and wants to do right by everyone who’s ever believed in her so she never thought about it but maybe after all gets said and done she’d seek out izzy… one of those real Slow burns in my brain heehee.. (pro mage .. btw)

AS FOR DAI !!! i’m terrible with open world games. NFKSJFKSKFKL but i sincerely am enjoying it cuz i’m following a quest guide so i don’t lose my marbles… it’s funny cuz i like. technically knew the most abt dai before playing through the games cuz [gestures at solas] but that’s alright cuz most of it has actually been a treat and a surprise :-) just not. the ending

and my stats after finishing the base game and after all the dlcs cuz it is fun

i adore her so much and she is my canon HoF. i have a little headcanon that all the important savior-like personas (as i don't have better name for the pcs) in Thedas in my world state are mages and maybe possibly it is all connected to the idea that Andraste herself was a mage

I’m not actually mad and I honestly don’t want to, like, ruin people’s fun cuz they’re just having fun and all. And I’m genuinely fine with nsfw asks. They don’t mean harm, I know that. It just gets to a point, you know?

And I especially don’t want to be the one to start saying, “hey, I’m not cool with this” because like,,,

I write smut. That used to be all that I did before I started writing HoF and I wrote pretty explicitly so it feels like I don’t… really have a right to set these kinds of boundaries and be uncomfortable with some stuff? Since they’re not even as bad as some of the stuff I’ve written.

But it also feels like… that’s just fiction, you know? None of it is me, I’m not experiencing this stuff and I would hate it if I were, so to open my inbox and have it be like, bam! sexually explicit message directed at me… it’s a bit much.

I also think I’m more sensitive to those asks because, again!! I don’t want to make people uncomfortable!! I would hate to be responsible for making someone uncomfortable, and when I answer an ask, it leads with the ask and I get nervous about asks that are blatantly sexual and explicit because I’ve had my share of starting to read an ask someone else answered and immediately noping out cause of what it says. So, I guess that’s the biggest thing. I don’t want to hurt anyone.

Idk what I’m talking about anymore, I’m just ranting. My day kind of took a turn and then this started happening, is all. I hope no one feels bad if they were the ones sending those kinds of asks. I’m not angry and I understand you didn’t intend any harm.
