I've got super straight brown hair and right now it's just barely too short to tuck behind my ears so it gets all in my face and makes my eyes itch.

Only when I'm driving; I only need them for depth perception.

Not now, but I did for a couple years in elementary school and again in 9th grade.

Loose and comfy clothes. I have a lot of sensory issues so my outfits are basically limited to cotton t-shirts, sweat pants or the softest work-apropriate pants I can find, and a sweatshirt or soft sweater.

I go by my middle name, Jean, on the internet.

Late 90s

9.) Where are you from and where do you live now?

I've lived in the greater Seattle all my life.

I'm currently taking a break but I'm planning on going back next quarter!

It's like that meme "if god hadn't given me depression I'd have kicked his butt by now" except replace god with school.

12.) Do you like school?

I have a lot of feelings about school, but overall I'd say yes. I wish there wasn't so much pressure on kids to succeed within a certain time frame and I have issues with the way some things are taught these days and how narrow the curriculum is in k-12, but overall I got really lucky with my teachers throughout the years and I managed to squeak by without having to deal too much with Common Core and the other BS they're trying to impose on kids these days.

13.) What are your favorite school subjects?

I love psychology and English! Any kind of science is good too.

14.) Favorite TV shows?

Avatar: The Last Airbender and Doctor Who are the only ones I can list off the top of my head right now.

15.) Favorite Movies?

The Princess Bride is always at the top of my list, Lilo and Stitch is up there too. I really like animated movies.

16.) Favorite Books?

I have a bookcase. I love fractured fairy tales and mythology, especially if they take an overly practical view of fantasy tropes, so Gail Carson Levine , JRR Tolkein, and Patricia C Wrede are all on there. East by Edith Pattou is a good example of a more serious bersion of this sort of thing, and of course I can't nit mention that I love Kate DiCamello's ability to rip my heart out and stomp on it.

Knitting, reading, pestering my cat, swimming, hiking, and sewing

18.) Do you have any regrets?

I'd say the only real regret I have was not beating an annoying bully into the ground after he made my friend cry in fourth grade instead of just warning him not to do it again. Little rat deserved it; there are some lines that even a bully should know it's a bad idea to cross. Other than that, it's a lot of "I wish I hadn't let people walk all over me" or "I wish my mental health hadn't prevented me from doing that thing," which I couldn't change without majorly messing with who I am so I don't consider them "real" regrets.

19.) Dream job?

I'd like to work at a little local yarn shop and make enough to live comfortably while still having enough time and mental energy to do other stuff I enjoy as well. Either that or something in a science or English field.

If I found the right person maybe.

If I did I'd adopt, but I don't have any plans or desires at the moment.

I've had some pretty messed up dreams; my brother dying of rabies, petting my guinea pig and looking down only for her to die and completely decompose in my lap, a guy getting shot and falling backwards into lava and laughing as his flesh melted off his bones; brain, why do you come up with this stuff?

There's a few people who I'll be ranting about until the day I die. The kid I mentioned wanting to deck earlier, the verbally abusive nurse at my old job who would scream at the dementia patients, and of course pretty much every Republican in office.

Day 18. Post 30 facts about yourself

Let's say I'm basically an open book. Many people can be sure of who I am, but the truth is many of them also don't really know me. I always show my interest and do the things I like openly without a doubt, but I hide my deeper feelings and opinions. Sometimes I rather just listen in silence with no opinion or questions cause I don't want to bother having a drama over something not trivial enough to make a difference in either me or the other person's life. Therefore, fact is most people know me but I still am hiding from them too. I guess everyone does the same, don't you think?

So, let's see the list of things people may or may not know about me..

1. I love food a little too much!

I actually have a strange taste some people may add because there's nothing bad in my food dictionary. Everything is either good, very good, or beyond yhis world HAHA.

2. I hate deep water.

Can't swim, scared of the unknown underwater world

3. But, I love fishes (?)

I hate water yet I love fishes. Aquarium is my comfort place. Always feel at peace and hyped in there.

4. Succulent/cactuses are my soul plant

I can't live without having them around. I feel overly attached to them and actually emotionally invested thinking that I'm kinda similar in character with the plant. Why? I believe cactus looks strong at the outside and can definitely managed living on its own but they long for care and love too.

5. I love cooking but not necessarily good at it.

I love to cook, but I have no confidence cooking for others cause what I thought are good sometimes mediocre or even bad for others. So yeah.. I just enjoy cooking for me.

6. I am passionate for arts and crafts.

Well, again not good at it, just happened to be easily drawn to it

7. A hopeless romantic.

I daydream a lot. Literally every day without any miss and I tend to wish for some kind or fairy tale happy ending. Life's not like that tho so yeah whatever

Always love writing to express my feelings whatever that is. It's a cheesy thing to do, many people would disagree of how this means a lot more than just usual exchange of words, but that's me for real.

Most people around me will see a very confident person who won't be afraid to take the lead, ask whatever questions, be noticeable in public, etc. But deep down that's me trying to prove myself to no one cause I have never been content with myself.

I am insensitive af lol. I have no idea how I managed to get people open up to me and share their thoughts when most of the time I couldn't figure out what's going on with them.

11. Friendship is my top priority

Nothing comes before friends. I would put them first over anything and this is both a good and bad thing about me.

Both emotionally and physically. I have been neglecting me too much

This is kinda deep and hard to understand by most people. I don't think I can understand it myself yet. But honestly, I love God and I am trying in my own way to keep building my relationship with Him. Yet, my ways may not be that common so, I always avoid conversation about religion.

Sometimes I thought to myself that maybe I tried too hard and forgot how it is to live my life

As I said, I am a hopeless romantic. Honestly tho, my love life hasn't been straightforward and that's just exactly what I am wishing to get. A straightforward love, easy relationship with someone I and people around me can love. I'm so done with the complicated ones, but always ended up with one. I have no idea whether a straightforward love is an impossible wish or I just haven't had the right to find one.

I think I should be more mature at this age, yet I have no idea what it is to be mature

I always find my joy in dancing, whether it's just to let loose or actually doing it seriously. It's actually part of a dream future I have

I can say I had a quality time with people or even myself if we've shared a moment in nature and appreciating it together. Always worked up for a roadtrip to secluded beautiful places

Don't get me wrong I always tried my best in everything I do, I just haven't been able to see the point. I have goals and I want to achieve them. I dreamt and I live on track to realise them. Yet somehow I feel empty not knowing why I am pushing myself so much for these things.

Words of affirmation is my love language. I always long for an appreciation and recognition. I don't let it bother me or obviously showing it so people were tricked to saying nice things about me, but deep down I just know that I'd do everything to hear that I've done well and is helpful to people around me.

There's no denying I tend to put my ego first and boast about how I have worked so hard to be the person I am. There are traits I like about me and I make sure people heard it

I may have said 29 things I thought I know about me, but it's keep on changing from time to time. Well, some do stay the same. Whether it's me from the past, me in the future or the current me, I just know that they all trying their best for each other. 6. pastel, boho, tomboy, preppy, goth, grunge, formal or sportswear? Oh man this is an eternal struggle tbh. I think I usually dress a bit more grunge or boho, but I want to be pastel and goth as well? The others I could take or leave.

7. earbuds or headphones? Earbuds, as long as they aren’t those Skullcandy kind with the squishy part that you jam in your ear canal. I hate those.

8. movies or tv shows? Depends on my mood and how much time I have.

9. favorite smell in the summer? This may be weird, but like…sun sweat? You know when you’re laying out comfortably in the sunshine and there’s a nice breeze and you sweat a lil but it’s like just warm? Also the ocean, I love the beach but I live nowhere near one.

10. game you were best at in p.e.? Uh, avoid competitive people as much as possible by running in the opposite direction from the ball? Walk laps rather than play the game? I did not like gym class.

11. what you have for breakfast on an average day? Nothin’. Sometimes I’ll have a donut or poptarts or pain au chocolat but usually it’s a lotta nothing.

12. name of your favorite playlist? “Players musicals”, a spotify playlist with songs from the 4 musicals my college theatre group did while I was there. Or on my iTunes, I have one called “Power Up” that is all my pump-up jams.

13. lanyard or key ring? …both? I have a keyring on my lanyard.

14. favorite non-chocolate candy? Ooh, the Haribo gummy frogs. With like the white part on the bottom? Idk what that shit is but I love it.

15. favorite book you read as a school assignment? Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. I know it’s a play but we did read it, and I loved it. Alternatively, maybe Brave New World? I found that one fascinating.

16. most comfortable position to sit in? Curled up sideways in an armchair or with my legs thrown over one arm and my back against the other.

17. most frequently worn pair of shoes? In the summer, I always pick one pair of sandals with a fun pattern so I get cool tan lines on my feet. Otherwise, Merrell Mocs 5evr.

18. ideal weather? Sunny and dry, maybe with a light breeze, and in the mid- to high-70s. Either that or clear, sunny, and between 15 and -15 for like a perfectly brisk day.

19. sleeping position? I usually sleep on my side with my top leg flung out so I’m like half on my stomach. But I can’t actually sleep on my stomach cuz I have titties and they are Not Comfortable.

20. preferred place to write (i.e., in a note book, on your laptop, sketchpad, post-it notes, etc.)? Literally anywhere and on anything. I doodle and write on p much any surface I am given.

21. obsession from childhood? …uh. There were several. But I guess Jerry Lewis was the biggie/most embarrassing.

23. strange habits? I eat most foods around the outside and save the center for last. Like poptarts, waffles, sandwiches… I also have a tic where whenever I have my car in neutral I jiggle the stick shift back and forth to like prove to myself that I am in neutral. I’m sure there are more that I’m unaware of that I just think are normal, so hey, if you know me irl and you know of a weird habit that I missed, send it my way.

Then those go with my platform black and white sneakers or my 6 inch platform boots with flames on the heels.

My dad puts the tree together, my mom rearranges and bends the branches to make it look more realistic, my dad puts the lights on, and then my little brother and I decorate it with all the ornaments. It’s a lot of fun and my favorite part of Christmas.

57. the three biggest struggles you’ve overcome? An abusive relationship, getting help for depression/anxiety, and my mom’s attempted suicide.

58. four talents you’re proud of having? I’m a p good writer, a decent swimmer, I can do cross-stitch/needlepoint, and I am very good at taking tests/learning.

There was this DISGUSTING cranberry stout flavor, and a p gross ginger one, plus every time someone ordered a weird milkshake we’d make a little extra so we could try some. One time someone got like a large stout (the regular, not the cranberry, which was still nasty) and pumpkin milkshake with malt. It was horrid.
