hihi :D. i'm back to do some crazy rants ig since i can't sleep :,). ig i'll just pick up where we left last time?
which is the hair colours! so i saw they dyed yunhos hair blue... AND THEY DID A MESSY JOB AT IT TOO? like in the idol radio pic you could still see a line of like blond hair?? i just know his hair is fried.. they should've kept it blonde urgh. also my neobong... apparently he told at a fansign his hair isn't finished yet? now, i have my theories! like 2 years ago yeo said he wanted to split dye his hair mint and pink. so that's what a lot of people are thinking, and that could be possible ig? but yk what i would love to see? GREEN AND BLACK!! like yk the billie eilish hairstyle with the green roots? OORRRR like the 'hidden' hairstyle where the top is like black and the 'hidden' part of his hair is green and he has like green bangs/fore pieces. i think they're gonna let the green fade tho. TALKING ABOUT NEO...
I'M PICKING UP WHERE I LEFT TALKING ABT GETTING INTO NCT. i am in love with taeyong!! LIKE OBSESSED!! DELUSIONAL OVER THIS MAN!! he's so so so fine!!! like tyong pls come home the kids miss you :(!!! my faves have not changed from last time ig, but i'll say my biases from each unit just bcs i can ig? nct 127 is obv taeyong!!! my nct dream bias is haechan and for wayv it's xiaojun. i'm not rlly counting in nct u bcs the line up is different each cb yk. and if u wanna count in djj it jaehyun, that man is so fine AHDHS. that's all i had to say abt kpop. i haven't rlly been keeping up with a lot of kpop content these days tbh, i've been watching criminal minds :)!
and since ik you have a blog for criminal minds etc i'll rant a bit abt cm here too? i'm at ssn 13 right now so i'm almost done :,). i just finished the eps where that annoying ass lady split up the bau and tried making changes and they secretly team up to catch this serial killer that kills these women and sells like the pics of it and they end up saving the daughter of this dude with a lot of power and he ends up funding the bau etc. i'm so excited to finish cm soon but also not? but i feel like it's kinda time too since i've been watching it for so long. i had to take breaks watching it bcs school and struggles with paranoia so it took me a long time to get back into it again. but now that i'm watching it again i'm so happy bcs i missed the show so much. i think that was my rant since i have nothing else going on rn, i'm a homebody who does nothing more than to sit in their room and watch kpop content, tv shows and read 😭 thank you for listening <3 — 🎧
hello !! you know i love the rants babe !!
i completely agree that they should have kept the blonde. i was excited when i thought they could have a new color but after concert pics with the blonde and the not so great dye job for the blue i'm wishing we could have kept the blonde too :,) but no for sure, he said something like being on the third bleach round or something like i'm crying for him rn akfhakjf
and YEAH NO BECAUSE I WAS TALKING ABT THIS WITH OTHER MOOTS AND- i really really like the idea of the mint green and pink bc like thats so fairy coded and hes so fairy coded and like i also def prefer a mint green to whats going on right now (tho its growing on me mostly bc yeosang just always looks so freaking good). and like i dont think i'd like the idea of the green and pink if it were the split dye like one side pink one side green but i feel like it was supposed to be the top of his hair being pink and the bottom green which could look so freaking good and adorable. BUT UHHH NOW THAT YOU MENTION THE GREEN AND BLACK, BABES THAT IS TOO GOOD you're a literal genius. they probably will just have it fade but i'm praying they do something like that with it sorry to your hair yeo LOL
I SEE I SEE taeyong is definitely a very easy man to simp over. yeah i never count nct u LOL fahfkjsdf but i see you ! i'm understanding, my sister is a haechan stan HAH i just love making fun of him its in my nature as a renjun lover. honestly i'm barely an nctzen anymore BUT i still enjoy dabbling in their content and convos about them like this from time to time it feels nostalgic and nice. i've always been more of a dreamie so i've been passing through neotown more lately with their comeback approaching.
oH MY GOD CRIMINAL MINDSSS my comfort show fr AHAHAH i'm a little crazy. fun fact emily prentiss is my gay awakening !! i'm actually rewatching it rn i'm still on ssn 10 tho lol. ngl i only vaguely remember that ep rn i will be reminded when i get to it LOL. i get you tho omg like it's so long and it's exciting to get through esp if you've had to take breaks like that so valid !! but also i never want my favorite things to end LOL but i mean here i am rewatching it so it's not a huge deal anymore khfkajsd i'm glad you've felt happy watching it tho !! that's awesome.
but babe you are literally me that is legit also the only thing i do, we are twinsies fr. you're welcome for listening and ty for sending it in !! you know i love to hear from you <333
#[ messages %.#[ my darlings %.#[ 🎧 anon %.#oh also i hope you can sleep soon !!#get some good rest <333

I dyed my hair tonight! First time I've done that in a year. I saw some pictures of myself from Saturday and was surprised by how much white is showing up in my hair now. And so I thought it would be fun to have green hair again, since there would be more white to cover. And I was right and I'm really excited for how it looks.
Today was a pretty good day. I still think I am getting a cold. But I was mostly good today. I liked my outfit. I felt really cute. James had already left for work. And I got up and dressed and felt alright. Just a little off.
I drove to work. Stopped for breakfast. Felt a lot better after I ate. It was going to be a bit of a busy day.
I had two tours and a cannery. The first tour would be with another museum! I was looking forward to that.
The school got there first though. A little early. So we set up a scavenger hunt for them. They were really sweet kids. But they were second graders. And this is the first year we have had kids that young doing the program. And they can do it but it is harder. And like a full tour is a lot for them. But it would all be good.
My musuem group got there on time and they were lovely. The tour was very good. Not my best but I was slightly nervous because I knew they would know history. But they kept telling me I was wonderful and would tell James I was amazing. And it was so nice.
We ended up chatting a little after and they wanted my website and email and stuff. Wanted me to come work with them too. And I had to tell them I had applied there years ago!! They were like dang, musuem missed out on all this enthusiasm! I am really glad they had fun and learned more things. It was just really fun.
I chatted with one of them, named Richard, about a project he has that he would love some input on. But I had to run to give my tour to the kids.
It was for sure not the same tour. They are so young I tried my best to make it more question based and had more interesting and snappy ways to explain everything. And they did a great job paying attention and answering.
The cannery was fun but I was getting a bit frustrated with the parents and coworkers doing annoying things. But Estelle brought cheese cakes and I had fun with the kids and it was still fun. But my feet hurt and I was really tired.
We had some trouble with chaperones and the gift shop but whatever. It was just a bit annoying. I went to go help at the desk but they were taking to long so I went upstairs to help with oysters.
I was glad to be done. I did all the oysters. Chatted with Jessica about upcoming things and promotions. Like a video were going to do next week. But I was ready to go.
I drove out to Glen Burnie to go to the beauty store. I got hair dye and headed home. Where I found I already had dye. Oops.
Well now I can do it again when it fades.
I dyed my hair, as I was getting ready to do that James was getting home. Once I was done putting in the color I played pokemon for a little. Had soup for dinner. Laid around for a while.
Eventually I rinsed my head. Very cold. But it's washed and looks awesome. I laid in bed to let it air dry. Feels nice to have fun color again.
It has just being s night of resting though. I will try to do more art and cleaning tomorrow. But I was just to tired tonight. And that is okay.
I took a bath. And it helped my skin. I had a nose bleed that had given me a bad head and ear ache. The bath helped me feel better.
But now I am in bed. Feeling cozy. I hope tomorrow I feel good and have fun. It's a weird schedule but it will be all good.
I hope you have a great night and sleep good. Take care of yourselves. Goodnight!

dreamland {hirako shinji fic}
- summary -
shinji had forgotten about the girl he grew up with in rukongai, until she waltzed right into his quarters with the last person he'd expect, his fukutaicho, aizen sosuke.
content warning: when life hands ya lemons, ya put 'em in ya story. this is gonna be a mature fic. not sure what the full extent of that will be, but there's definitely gonna be some crude language. yoruichi and urahara are swingers. it's gonna be a grand ol time.
{consider the Glass Animals album "Dreamland" the soundtrack for this book}
Chapter One
"Taicho," Aizen bowed as he entered his Captain's quarters.
"Always so formal, Sosuke-kun. What is it?" Shinji sat on his futon with his eyes closed, head against the wall, listening to the jazz from his Living World record player.
"I was wondering if I might have permission to move a guest into my quarters, sir," Aizen asked, kneeling in front of his captain.
Shinji opened one eye and raised an eyebrow. "Eh? Move someone in? From outside Seireitei?"
"Hai."
"Well, I'm gonna need more information than that if I'm to even consider granting such an odd request. Who is it?" Shinji asked. His lieutenant had always been incredibly private, to be fair, so had Shinji, but this was rather uncharacteristic of Aizen.
"My girlfriend."
---
"I can't believe he said yes, Sosuke-kun! How exciting. I'll grab my things immediately." Ayame began grabbing robes from her closet and shoving then in a bag.
Aizen reached out and grabbed her arm firmly. "Listen to me, Ayame. You must treat every person in Seireitei with the utmost respect. They are in a class above you and you must behave as such. Do you hear me?"
Ayame nodded, trying to loosen her boyfriend's grip. "Yes, Aizen-kun."
"If you slip up even one time I will have no choice but to send you back here, are we clear?" His grip remained.
Ayame's eyes fixed on the floor. "Yes, Aizen-kun."
"Good." He removed his hand. "Now finish packing, we leave in an hour." He flash-stepped away.
Ayame sighed and continued to pack. Is this really the best idea, she asked herself. She had been with Aizen for three years, but had never gotten used to his coldness. She looked around her room.
She was going to miss this place. Her floor was littered with buckets to catch the leaks when it rained, but it was still home. It was still the first place she could afford with money she earned, thanks to Aizen.
He was a dream, at first. They met when he was on a mission to the outer Rukongai district, where she was a makeshift house mother for a particularly rowdy group of boys. He helped her find a job and save enough money to move into her own house, although it was rather worn down. He's done so much for you, don't be ungrateful. You know how much his reputation means to him. Besides, do you want to live in this leaky shack forever? This is your chance to move up.
Ayame finished packing her belongings then locked up her house for the last time. She set the key on the ground in front for the landlord and headed towards the West Gate.
"Today the big day?" Sato, the old baker next door, asked.
Ayame turned to him with a smile. "Yes, Jii-san."
"Good luck to you! Oh, and if you see that Hirako rascal, give him hell for leaving you here alone, will ya?" he called.
"Seireitei is a large place, Jiisan. I doubt I'll run into him, and I doubt he'd remember me. That was two hundred years ago," Ayame said, her smile fading.
"Well, if you do."
"As you wish. Farewell, Sato-san! Thank you for all of your help." Ayame bowed before continuing to walk.
When she neared the gate, Aizen's reitsu began to overwhelm her senses.
"Boo."
Ayame turned around, less than startled. "Take this bag. I'm tired of carrying everything."
Aizen chuckled. "Hello to you, too." He grabbed the bag from her outstretched arm.
---
Ayame unrolled her futon and positioned it near Aizen's. She set her pillow and folded blanket on top.
"All moved in!" Aizen said, wrapping her in a hug from behind. "How does it feel?"
She took a deep breath, shifting the weight in her feet. This was her home now. "The energy is different from Rukongai."
"Better, right?" he asked with a cool tone.
Ayame turned to face her boyfriend and grabbed his hands. "Much better. I feel like I can breathe here."
Aizen's hardened expression softened as Ayame's green eyes looked up at him. He lifted her chin with his finger and kissed her gently.
"I'm glad you like it. Now that we're settled, I need to introduce you to the captain of my squad."
"The Blond Bastard, as you like to call him?" Ayame asked, stifling a smirk.
"Yeah, that's him," Aizen replied, sliding his door open.
"Does he have a real name?"
"Taicho. That's the only one that should matter to you," he said. He started walking to his Captain's quarters.
Ayame stepped out of the room and slid the door shut behind her before following after her boyfriend. They walked in silence.
"Ah, Aizen-kun. This must be the girlfriend your Captain was telling me about," a deep but friendly voice said.
The couple turned to face a man in a pink floral robe with a large straw hat. Aizen bowed.
"Kyoraku-taicho," he said. "This is Ayame."
Ayame bowed lightly, before smiling at the man.
"Very good to meet you. Always a pleasure to see another beautiful woman joining our ranks," Kyoraku grinned.
"Thank you, taicho," she replied, her cheeks flushing.
"You better hurry along and introduce her. You know how impatient he is," Kyoraku tipped his hat with a wink. "I'll be seeing you!"
"Taicho," Aizen said with a deep bow as the man walked away. He turned to face Ayame. "That was the captain of the eighth squad, Kyoraku Shunsui. We're almost at my Captain's quarters. His is the last door at the end of this hall."
The couple quickly made their way to the door. Jazz music could be heard from behind the wood.
"Taicho, may I enter?"
They heard a shuffle, something drop, and footsteps before the door slid open. Ayame could smell fragrant incense coming from the room as she bowed deeply.
"How many times do I have to tell ya, Sosuke-kun, ya can just call me Shinji," the blond captain said, scratching his head. "Oh! This must be yer girl-"
He stopped short and his eyes widened when he saw Ayame's face.
"Yes, this is my girlfriend, Aya-" Aizen started.
"I can't believe it," Ayame said, stepping closer to the door as she made eye contact with the blond captain. "Hirako?"
Shinji pushed past his lieutenant and grabbed the blue-haired girl's shoulders. "You?"
Ayame turned to her boyfriend. "You didn't tell me 'The Blond Bastard' was Shinji Hirako!"
Aizen glared at Ayame. "I didn't realize you knew each other."
Shinji shot a look that could kill at his lieutenant. "Back in the day, this 'blond bastard' lived in Rukongai."
"We grew up together," Ayame said bitterly.
"Come in, let me pour some tea," Shinji said, putting his hand on her back, guiding her into his room. Aizen trailed behind.
Shinji closed the door behind them and gestured to the futon. "Both of ya, make yerselves comfortable!"
Ayame sat down, cross-legged, and gestured for her boyfriend to do the same. Shinji picked up a candle that was on the ground, presumably the object that the couple heard fall, and turned down his record player.
Shinji filled a kettle with water and tea leaves and set it on the stove to boil. Ayame watched him in disbelief. He was a captain, just like he'd always dreamed of being. As children, they spent many hours in the woods fighting one another with sticks. Shinji talked ceaselessly about how he'd be the best captain in all of Seireitei, and here he was.
"You never told me you grew up with a Captain-class Shinigami," Aizen hissed in Ayame's ear.
"I never knew," she responded. "He left without a word."
"So, darlin', when'd ya dye yer hair blue? It's a nice touch, stands out more than the brown," Shinji asked, carrying three cups and the tea pot. He sat across from them on the floor. He reached and grabbed a strand in his hands. "I like the color. Very shiny."
"And you had brown hair?" Aizen asked, as he watched Shinji pouring the tea.
"Yes, I dyed it to set myself apart. I didn't like blending in with everyone in the district," Ayame shrugged, sipping the tea Shinji handed to her.
"I get the sentiment, but ya never blended in," Shinji laughed. "They were always scared of ya."
Aizen's brows furrowed. He took a sip.
"I was pretty rambunctious as a kid. Always beating up the bullies who'd pick on this blond bag of bones."
"Geez, first I'm a blond bastard and now I'm a bag of bones? Needa get better friends," Shinji whined, rubbing his shoulder.
"Or maybe you shouldn't abandon them," Ayame responded, crossing her arms.
"Darlin', it wasn't like that," Shinji said, his posture stiffening.
Aizen face remained unchanged at his Captain's use of the pet name.
"You could've come back, to see me, maybe when you finished the academy. But you didn't." Ayame stood and set her cup of tea on the desk next to the record player. "Sosuke-kun, let's go. I can't be here anymore."
"I agree." Aizen stood and opened the door, stepping out. "Thank you for tea, Taicho," he said with a bow."
Shinji stood and grabbed Ayame's wrist. "Ayame, wait."
Ayame turned to face him. "Yes?" she hissed.
"Come see me again, please. My door is always open to ya," Shinji said gently.
Ayame could see the sincerity and sorrow in his eyes. "Maybe, Hirako." She tried to pull her wrist free from his grip. "Shinji?"
Shinji's eyes darkened and he spoke with a lowered tone. "If he doesn't treat ya well, he'll have hell to pay."
Ayame pulled her wrist free and nodded slightly. "Good bye, Shinji. Maybe I'll see you around."

Hey, baby gay here, wanting to dye my hair for the first time and I saw you were posting about hair dye, do you have stories about your experience with it and/or any good brand recommendations? I'm excited but also nervous, I don't want to screw it up. Sorry if this is weird for me to ask
No don't apologize I love talking about hair dye!! (I'm such a nerd lol)
The first time I ever dyed my hair was in fourth grade, I think. I was growing out a pixie cut at the time, so my hair was a shaggy mess, and me and my best friend put red streaks in our hair together. At the time, I thought it looked badass. I can tell you now that it did not. I looked like a ZhuZhu pet.
Since then, I have dyed my hair a LOT. I had it blue at one point in middle school, VERY briefly. I dyed it royal purple for a part in a show after that, decided I liked it, and stuck with varying shades of purple for several years. Gradually I shifted from purples to dark reds and pinks.
At the beginning of last year I had been planning on getting a haircut and reupping the dye because it was both fading severely and starting to grow out. Then quarantine happened. I figured no one would see it, so why bother? I let my hair grow out through the summer, got it cut when it started getting unmanageable, and by fall all I had left was a tiny bit of blonde at the tips. Almost all of my hair was back to its natural brown, and the small amount of pink left in the lighter ends was nearly invisible.
I didn't really realize how much having pink hair had become a part of me until I literally stopped recognizing myself in the mirror. It just felt wrong.
So I redyed my hair.
For a while, my hair was the right color and life was good. But, as inevitably will happen, it faded out again.
So I dyed it again! (which is what I'm assuming you saw my posts about)
So that's a kind of long story about what having dyed hair has been like for me. It's fun! I enjoy it! I hope you do too!
As for recommendations - if you're doing it in a salon you get whatever they have. If you're having an independent hair stylist do it they'll likely discuss all of this with you and have a much better idea of what they're doing than me. If you're doing it yourself at home, I have a few favorites for dye brands.
For a long time Splat was my go-to for quick and easy bright color. It's reasonably cheap, has straightforward instructions, and lasts a decent amount of time. I like to think of Splat as the working man of hair dye - nothing fancy, but solid quality that gets the job done. Unfortunately, it's a lot harder to find in stores now than it used to be. (You can still order it online if you're dedicated)
Punky Color is great for vibrancy, but it washes out almost completely in just a few weeks. Good for when you might be wanting something more temporary, not so great for someone like me. It's vegan though, if that's something that's important to you.
*just found out that Splat is vegan as well, I was not previously aware of that
What I currently use is Arctic Fox (also vegan, apparently. i'm learning new things today), which I absolutely ADORE. It's what you see in the picture above, and it's the best hair dye I've encountered. It comes in an incredibly wide range of colors with various levels of saturation, it lasts longer than anything else I've tried, and IT COMES IN BOTTLES. I know you've never dyed your hair before anon, but this is a BIG DEAL. Most do-at-home hair dye kits come in bags inside boxes that you squeeze out and mix yourself. There's almost always dye left over, especially if you don't have a lot of hair. It's messy and you have to deal with the extra. Arctic Fox is RESEALABLE, EASILY STORED, AND REUSABLE MONTHS LATER.
Can you tell I love this dye brand?
The lack of damage compared to other products should also be noted - when I was redoing my hair the other day I got distracted and ended up leaving the dye in for almost three times the recommended waiting period. (Believe it or not, I was watching She-Ra. Yes. I know. We all know. I'm very gay. This post has thoroughly proven that. Moving on.) My hair is absolutely fine, still soft and fluffy, and hasn't started falling out (yet).
Also, it smells really good. I'm not kidding.
Some general notes on hair coloring: if you have dark hair, you're going to want to bleach it if you want the color to stand out at all. If you flat iron or curl your hair regularly, or if it's chemically straightened, this can cause a lot of damage to the hair. You have been warned. Also, if you're wanting the dye to last a long time, invest in color-support conditioner (I use Keracolor). It's worth it. I promise.
Other than that, I wish you luck in your hair coloring journey anon, and I apologize for how long this got. Hope some of this is helpful!
(tumblr gays feel free to add on to this post with your own hair dye experiences)

@1messedupchildxnx (You asked but what about when their dye fades out, and since I was wondering, too...)
The change does not go unnoticed by the townsfolk: the fae's hair is changing color. New hair grows in brown, and their existing hair turns from pink to orange and then to blonde. As well, there is a visible change in temperament from the blonde to the brown; the brown looks softer, the curls look gentler and less frayed before the abrupt yellow floof.
Though most people would not dare bring it up, some people have asked. Their answer is about what the asker expects, but that doesn't make it any easier to hear. The (not-so) fae always pulls a sad little smile and says, "I think I am becoming human."
"How??" "Why?" "Can that happen?" "Will you live?" "Were you cursed?" "Is this a punishment by those you left?"
The fae had the same explanation no matter the response. "I accepted that I live here now."
And then the not-so-fae shares their story - as best as they can for humans to understand:
The fae was neither exiled nor did they run away by their own volition; they were lost. Their accounts of the fae realm had always sounded odd and contradicting (though that should be expected); some parts had no light and no sound, or at least very little of each; some were loud no matter the hour and lit by glass balls with light caught inside; some floors were nothing but revelry, while other circles were nothing but pain. And too many variations of faerie cultures and abilities to name. The not-so-fae could go on forever if given the chance, but they stop themself, because that's not the current point.
The point is that the fae world is ever expanding, always shifting, and that's how the tragedy happened. A hole ripped right beneath them. The fae fell helplessly and found themself in the mortal world, a place they had only heard about in stories and could not recognize until they experienced the hostility of humans.
They had a life. They had friends. They were on the cusp of "higher learning" and had been so excited to be accepted after working so hard. (The fae does not say it, but the townsfolk infer that without "higher learning," their powers will stay this weak forever.)
They miss their mother above all.
They can check on the places closest to the mortal world, but that hole should have never existed right back in the deepest center. Those they loved the most, they will never see again. (Sometimes a stray tear falls at this part of the story, but not always.)
"I accepted that I live here now."
"I think I am becoming human."
The not-so-fae was quickly losing what little connection to the fae world they had left. Their powers would be forever immature- maybe they'd lose what little they had there too! So realized the townsfolk.
The air hangs heavy around them.
"You dont have to feel sad for me." But how could the others not after hearing that?
The not-so-fae shocks them: "I'm becoming human because I choose to."
The "because you are my home now" goes left unsaid.
Consider:
A standard portal fantasy where a person falls through time and ends up in medieval times– but they have brightly colored hair.
They walk into the nearest tavern thinking this must be some novelty tourist trap, and as soon as people take one look at them they’re chased out with whatever cold iron tools the locals have on them, cries of “faerie!” ringing in their ears.
