it's kind of interesting to watch this post-war western film (french in that case) about i guess the ennui (? is that the tone) of bourgeoise housewifism as a look in to the daily lives of women (saying this neutrally), because this wasn't the experience of my grandmothers and their peers who were all working as former citizens of the gdr, etc
