#🖤.txt#all of my grandmothers money is from a settlement against a hospital bc they contributed to my grandpa getting a TBI#i think? my other grandma has some money from her moms bookkeeping business but otherwise most of it was from saving while she worked#its just very odd to me to learn that most white families have generational wealth bc that is NOT something i grew up with#hell i was shocked to learn most ppls grandparents had served in a war. i only have one relative who was in the military and i barely knew#him. but its my great uncle#my grandpa was a trucker and draft dodger. my other grandpa was also a draft dodger but i didnt know him#my dad and his brothers all had recruiters chased off by my grandma#my other great uncle had polio as a kid so he was disqualified from serving#my grandma on my moms side fled her abusive father so she was cut off from anything there#like yalls parents and grandparents went to college? they had careers??? they had the time and money to do that???#my dads siblings who went to college did so bc they got scholarships
