I really should stop looking down on my traditional sketches because I can't emulate this kind of feeling in my digital art.
#the left pic is old from 2018 but god damn!!! i still love it so much???#shading in traditional is a hit or miss for me but it's so therapeutic#the right was from yesterday HAHA#I was actually sketching Kii and his demon LOOL SO HELLOO THAT'S THAT HE'S GETTING CORNERED IN A GAS STATION BATHROOM!!!#my god the tiddies on em!!! also... kii not supposed to be naked#i wanted to redraw it digitally so i kept him naked so i can draw clothes on top#i have still yet to find a brush that could emulate the same kind of messy linework my pencil sketches have#i have all these sketchbooks i haven't finished and it's been YEARS#Like i hate this shift in my head where if i'm not drawing a fully illustrated digital piece#then any other art thing i'm doing doesn't count as “real” art-- this only applies to me#and i gotta stop thinking that bc art is supposed to be fun!#regardless of how big or small the project is??#anyway wooow i love traditional art LOOL#killamonart#killaocs#kii#oc#sketch
