Homare: It is a tad vexing that the one next to you was Haruto-kun… However, it is a great performance no matter how many times I watch it.

Tasuku: Thank you. When I heard the theme of the VLOG, what I thought I wanted to show everyone was me when I’m acting. The reason I was allowed to act in GODza’s theatre was because I happened to run into Haruto and Shift in Veludo City. It worked out because those two, and Reni-san, arranged it. To get to this point, my environment has changed from GODza to MANKAI Company… But if there’s one thing that hasn’t changed between then and now, it’s my love for acting. I am grateful to all the people who come watch my performances.

hell the only reason I opted for mordred on my last ticket is because I didn’t have the mats for artoria and hadn’t yet rolled altera and gramps... hell I STILL don’t have the mats for her don’t be a dumbass me stock up and wait for the next ticket ugh

I should probably not go for jack? vanilla shiki takes care of most my st assassin needs and jack is easy to find in support when she’s a must have? most of the time I prefer borrowing kama anyway... and castoria made ryoma much more viable he’s been absolutely slaving in the vaults and I can sub alter egos or zerks too so probably not quetz or ozzy... gil more than does the work of a st archer in a clutch and same castoria deal with chloe and santa altea/skadi worst come to worst... xuanzang isn’t THAT much better than my sheba/circe/magical shuten depending on the situation, at least not enough to make her worth a ticket and one of my supports has a nice one with black grail equipped for absolute emergencies, the fucking hero whoever they are... cu alter is easy to use and I’ve been absolutely abusing him in JP but my SR ST berserkers aren’t actually that bad in a cluth even if they’re not usually my first choice “I win” button like cu and from the few times I borrowed vlad he’s too squishy and stressful to use even with his def and guts skills... and liz’s have been reliably filling my ST alter ego needs since practically the month I started fgo

I think it’ll come down to tamamo or enkidu since none of my lancers satisfactorily fill that hole... but I already have all other caster supports and I rarely ever even use a support tamamo so I might be too unga bunga dum dum for the kind of strategizing she needs anyway

Ya know after looking at Gil’s Bond CE, i’ve come to realize the entire Bond CE system perfectly represents how all of FGO’s talk of “it’s about winning with a team of your favorites” is bullshit that’s completely betrayed by its money-grubbing gacha mechanics. Stay with me here I promise this will loop back around to that point.

Bond CEs are completely useless on about 90% of all servants, and it’s because of design decisions that are made explicitly to prioritize gacha rolls. Firstly they’re only ever useful on support units or Heracles. Heracles is his own unique case of being one of two base game servants with a truly unique Bond CE, granting a whopping 3 Guts, which itself is only useful because of a design oversight on how Guts works (where if there is only one servant left, triggering Guts automatically ends the enemy turn. This is because the AI registers that moment of death as “no enemies left” causing the turn to pre-emptively end), and Georgios who has a unqiue effect of on death applying damage cut and invincible to all other allies. This is typically only used for suiciding two level 1s so you can solo, but it still works well enough played straight. 

Aside form those two though all Bond CEs are one of two things: A gimmick, or a flat buff to the team. The former are always useless because of the low scaling they always have, which is but one of two crippling issues I’ll get into later, and the latter are only ever going to be useful for support units. Even then it’s practically random if the effect is going to be useful. Osakabehime has 15% NP gain instead of Quick Up despite being the first intended dedicated Quick Support, and for some god forsaken reason the 1star Berserker Asterios has Quick Up on his Bond CE. Casgil has NP Strength instead of Arts or NP gain up. Mozart has NP Strength instead of Arts or Critical. Ones like those arent always terrible but my point is that it’s rare for you to get something like Castamamo, who is a dedicated arts support who DOESNT need things like starting battery or passive star gen or the other typical support effects AND has a Bond CE that directly stacks with her main form of support. 

That all on its own isn’t the real issue though. The real issue is the stats. Every Bond CE is, at max level of 80, 100atk/100hp. Every single one. The same as those crappy free CEs with like, +.0000000001% Mystic Code EXP. This AUTOMATICALLY MAKES EVERY SINGLE DPS’S BOND CE USELESS NO MATTER WHAT. It doesn’t matter if AUO’s gives 30% NP Damage up and small random crit buffs, because why would i EVER use that when I can give him an effective 20% NP damage up, 50% battery, and an extra 1000+ attack with Aerial Drive? It doesn’t matter if Super Orion gets 8 stars per turn and 15% crit up for the team when I’m going to be bringing crit support for him regardless and can give him a 948atk up Victor of the Moon with 10% Buster and 20% Crit up on the only DPS I’ll need for the fight. To say nothing of how I dont need to farm for countless hours to raise their bond for those CEs.

“But what if I missed the Aerial Drive event, and don’t have Victor of the Moon?” Exactly my point. You spend countless hours grinding with these servants just for a 3 star let alone how fucking long it’d take for an SSR’s bond ce, and what do you get? A stocking stuffer that’s obsolete compared to just about any matching effect 5 star CE that requires you to roll the gacha. Even if they all had Heracles level effects, they’re crippled by that lack of stats.  And I can tell you exactly what the thought process behind those stats was. “They get them for free, so obviously just like the other free CEs, they have to have the absolute minimum stats.”  Even though they require multiple hundred hours of dedication and are supposed to embody your bond with a servant, hence the name, they consider them “freebies” simply because you aren’t gambling over them. 

They claim the game is about beating it with the servants you love, but the equivalent of their wedding rings are worthless in gameplay because as far as the developers are concerned, if you didn’t gamble for it then it shouldn't have value.

     No one asked for this but i’m going to share my thoughts anyway. 

     Medusa and Carmilla carried my ass through the early fgo game. i just started this account in March or February. I stopped ascending Medusa when I found out there would be a banner with Achilles on it and I wanted to use all my Rider materials on him instead, and as you can see, my #1 boy is all the way to 100, maxed out Fous, because I love him.

     Bedivere? Has a bitch slap like no other. Caesar? My secret weapon. I don’t know why I don’t see more talk about how amazing Caesar is. I chose to grail Bedivere instead because he has those big ooga booga Buster damage hits, but I think Caesar might be better, given skills and crits and all that. Lakshmibai? I freakin’ love watching her flip around and even though her NP hits like a wet noodle, her regular attacks are really good! 

     Sei surprised me. I call her Sei the Slayer. She is surprisingly awesome. I literally could not stand her at first because she’s so... ... ... loud and annoying. But overtime, even that grew on me. When she says Heian Beam? It’s so silly and adorable. And she mows down everything in her past. Sei the Slayer fears no Sabers. Sei the Slayer eats Sabers for breakfast.

    Cu Chulainn obviously had to be Grailed. I put him in the back with Volumen Hydrargen or whatever it’s called for every fight, and he has never failed to pull through for me. He just refuses to die, and I like that in a man. First string Lancer is obviously Romulus, though. I had to roll for him; I’m Italian, he’s basically my grandfather.

     Achilles. My love. I need no other Riders but you. His voice lines for selecting his NP, and then when he DOES his NP? I need a minute. (passes out). That GROWL at the end. Mmf. Of all FGO men, Orrie is hot for Achilles. Medusa and Mandricardo fill the back bench. I like Medusa better. Everything says Mandricardo is better but I just don’t get it. His best skill literally kills him. What is the point of that.

    I got Waver with the Free SSR ticket. Everyone said I needed him and I didn’t understand why, but now I understand, and now he’s in every single line up. People were speaking TRUTH when they said that just having him will make the game easier. Apparently, supports are just as important as damage dealers. I never knew. I just rolled Merlin on that Sunday last week when he was up, and two of him showed up. Very excited to pair him with Bedi and Romulus and my big Buster guys. And for damage dealing Casters, Medea had me THRIVING in the first few singularities, just Rule-breaker after Rule-breaker. And I have Caster Gil. I forget about him and when I use him I’m always surprised. When I need a Caster to kill things, I use Caster Gil.

    I love Franny, but I don’t understand why everyone says she’s so good. I like using her because she’s cute but she really doesn’t do too much damage. I am really looking forward to making my Penthesilea big and stronk, but honestly??? I barely use Berserkers. They’re so fragile, I just don’t see the point. I don’t know how to use them.

     And those are my thoughts. I’m F2P but I’ve had really good luck. I don’t think I’ll save too much for Castoria, since I have Waver and Merlin. What I really need is a decent Assassin so Carmilla doesn’t have to do it all herself, and a single target Rider might be nice. I don’t know if they make those. Can’t think of one besides Ozy.

     Anyway, I watch a lot of youtube videos to help me through the game and I’m having a lot of fun. Bedi, Sei, and Carmilla all have special places in my hearts as Servants that I had low expectations of who have just blown me away.

FGO 2021 Recap (+ 2022 Goals)

2021 is a pretty…shaky year. Things still go on, a life of stability seem rather distant. The game itself does not promise well; the current situation + direction it’s taking gave a much more pessimistic picture of its future

Nevertheless, I do find parts of the journey enjoyable, and perhaps I may no longer have much expectations, I may at least stay as a visitor until I have better things to do.

TW Server

To update, I have pretty much finished all (5) of the available lostbelts this year

It’s one thing to go through all of them via gameplay, it’s another things to read the story through and through. It felt rather new, to adopt a new identity as a destroyer of worlds when I spent the last year playing as the saviour of humanity.

The end of the journey may not be entirely pleasant, but it’s something I’m curious to witness.

Rolling Result + Goals

About the rolling, I did get all the 2021 servants goals. Which is great.

During this year, I simply wish to aim for SR + non gold servants, but eventually I got several powerful SSRs (both limited and permanent) and at least one premium support (Skadi) in both accounts, which is unexpected for a (GSSR only) minnow like me.

Perhaps because of this, the gameplay seem more like a breeze compared to last year.

Now I guess I felt dangerously bolder in my goals (plus not a lot of non gold servants I could get next year), here are some servants I wish to get next year:

Voyager

When he first came out, I didn’t care much about him (I’m more interested of the event SR servant). Then I got him in the JP Server, read about his dialogue and everyone’s meta about him, and now I just want to bring this star child home.

Even for someone who is pessimistic to fellow humans like me, his presence and symbolic meaning does bring me hope about humanity others fail to capture.

Kijyo Koyo

The very F/R servant that I aimed to get to begin with (and fail to get). When I first saw the servant, it was love at first sight. The unusual design of being a completely animalistic looking female servant, plus a tasteful looking human design appeals to me a lot.

Getting her + Voyager is one of the next year goal for me

Castoria

People were not kidding when they said Artoria Caster broke the game. Her entry to had brought many changes in the game environment, with her starting the Arts Farming + a way to trivialise Ignore Invulnerability. Overall a must roll according to most sources.

For me, I wish to get her, not just for gameplay meta, but so my favourite Arts servants can get the support they need. I did get Skadi for the quick servants, it makes sense for the Arts servants to get the same treatment.

Shi Huang Di

I know that they are not a new servant, but to wit, the last banner featuring them insofar is in the 21M Download Campaign. If I wish to get them, it’s now or never or the GSSR.

To wit, they have proved themselves to be an awesome servant, both in story, character and gameplay. They proved to be one of the best Lostbelt Kings that came out from the game, both cruel and charismatic, stubborn yet capable for change.

At least to my main account, I already got a bunch of Larger Than Life Monarchs (eg. Iskander, Ozy, Gil) in my ranks (plus Suzuku Merlin + CC Hokusai). It makes sense to get Lelouch another Monarch to join them as well.

Oda Nobukatsu

Nobukatsu being a limited bronze servant is a surprise for me. I already liked him back in the GudaGuda 2 event, and from what I can tell, his actual debut event continues to flesh him out. I do feel pity for him, and wish him well.

Plus he came home to me in the first event when others did not. That is a plus for me.

Ashiya Douman

Before LB5.5, I am inclined to hate his guts for his deeds, especially what he did in Shimousa and LB4.

Then LB5.5 came out, and the more I learnt about him, the more I can appreciate him in terms of character and design. A character with much depths beneath the surface, his own existence causes much speculation on the overall themes of Fate and fulfilling the thirst a bunch of monsterf***ers. Being an actual original character with a fantastic character design (so good that he rewrote most of the Pseudo Singularities + Lostbelts) and powerful gameplay function pretty much helps.

That will not stop me wanting to subject him to Chen Gong once in a while.

Other servants I wish to get would include Himiko (a fellow Ruler servant that facilitates Castoria Stalling), Summer Brynhildr (for Sigurd), Summer Kiara (for powerful gameplay), Nemo + Van Gogh (for character + gameplay potential), Vritra (for Arts Lancer Farming). But consider of my main goals, it is more likely I would prioritise the main ones over the side ones.

JP Server

I wouldn’t call this year a good year for FGO.

In fact aside of some highlights (LB6, the Ryoma event), it felt like that the game is going in a downward spiral, what’s with the male servant shortage + increasingly lazy design for female characters + lopsided schedule + subpar non-LB6 content and alike.

I did heard there will be a change in the company structure next year, but from the news I heard, it does not suggest an optimistic future.

But still, there are parts where I do enjoy the journey. I got most of the new servants this year, some of them being the ones that I liked and saved for. Thanks Taira + Oberon + Percival.

LB6, though not entirely perfect (eg. see the ending of Beryl + some parts), absolutely blows everything out of the water, simply by the sheer scale of not just the writing, but also the presentation (eg. Music, Boss Intros, Worldbuilding) as well. It is a journey I would find unforgettable.

Conclusion

What will happen in next year? Will the game have something better than this year? Or will it get worse? I may never know.

Anyhow, regardless what happened this year, and what will happen next year, happy new year to everyone!

Contrary to popular belief I am not a whale (although I have spent an embarrassing amount of money on this shit) np 5 drake just happened, NO MONEY, I like to envision she just grabs my hand super fiercely and says we’re married despite my protests

Any time I spend money on this fucking game I never get anything I want or anything in general so all the NP levels are Just. They just be like that.

Np2 Dantes was from when I first started jp & had a lot of sq (I was trying to get cas gil from the summer 3 rate up and cas gil never came.. so I snagged him with a 4* ticket, only to have him show up on later summons so cas gil is at np 2 now),

np3 most holy and cool emperor was from me failing to get them their first rate up on jp so I just saved around 300 sq till their next rate up (after failing to get them on the gssr..) and got them to np2, np3 was recent and from a single roll so I lost it

Np3 enkiduuuuu... was frommmm ok so they’re like one of my super favorite servants but I only managed to save 90 sq for them on NA and got them with 60 sq aaa, np2 was from a ticket on New Years (and what a blessed New Years THAT was because enkidu came with waver, sanzang, and Medusa lily.. I had to escort myself out to my bedroom to scream into a pillow) and np3 enkidu was from the last gssr i plan to do because I’ve wasted an embarrassing amount on a fucking mobile and that was when I pulled on the lance rate up gssr and got the only lancer I already had

Fate/Grand Order Servant Summer Festival 2020 Part 2

The Servant Summer Festival 2020 event is currently ongoing in the Fate/Grand Order (#ad) (FGO) mobile game. I already wrote a post about the results of my pulls on one of the banners that came with this event. That should have been the end of that. There shouldn’t be any part 2 because I was done pulling. That’s why I ended the first post already. So what’s this post about then?

This post is still about pulling on the Servant Summer Festival 2020 banners. This was totally not planned though. How did this happen then?  

Future Banners in Fate/Grand Order

I decided to take a look at the list of banners that the English or Global version of Fate/Grand Order was set to get in the future. I wanted to see which Servants were coming and when they were coming. As I went though the list, I noticed that none of the upcoming Servants really interested me. I didn’t feel like I needed to pull for them or that I wanted to save for them. 

I also noticed that the Servants I was interested in drawing weren’t set to arrive until way later. And we’re not even talking about just a few months. They weren’t set to arrive this year. There were some who won’t even show up until like a year later or something. 

And so this got me thinking - since there isn’t really anyone I’m interested in pulling for this year, why not just draw on any one or all of the current Summer Serva Fest banners? I could just save again afterwards. Besides, I barely have any resources left now, so what difference does it make anyway? I could just give it a try. I’m not really expecting to get anything though. I guess I just wanted to try pulling some more. Well, why not anyway, right? So that was exactly what I did.

The second Servant Summer Festival 2020 banner features the following characters:

Servant Summer Festival Pickup 2 Summon Banner Draw Results

I only had 3 Summon Tickets on hand. Throwing them all on this banner gave me nothing but trash. So I decided to do a multi-draw. A gold Caster card showed up. It turned into 4-star SR Caster Gilgamesh.

I already have a copy of Cas Gil so this isn’t new. In fact, my Cas Gil is actually NP3 (Noble Phantasm Level 3) so the copy I just got now will let me increase his NP Level to 4.

Other than Caster Gilgamesh, the only other gold I got on this draw was the 4-star Craft Essence (CE), Art of Death (apply 25% Special Attack [Humanoid] for yourself). The 2 copies of 3-star R Caster Avicebron will finally let me get him to NP5.

Overall, this was a pretty meh pull. I mean, it’s not like I’m even using Avicebron. Mine isn’t even fully leveled yet. I can’t recall a time wherein I decided to equip Art of Death. More often than not, really basically all the time, I have my DPS equipped with CEs that give starting NP charge such as Aerial Drive or Golden Sumo: Boulder Tournament. 

My Cas Gil is doing fine at NP3, and it’s not like I use him all the time or something. His skills aren’t even maxed. I have mine at 9/6/9. I’m reluctant to max them since he has long skill cooldowns. I worry it won’t be worth it since he’s not a constant in my parties. There’s also the fact that I’m just really stingy with my materials since farming is a pain. 

Actually, I don’t farm anymore. I think the last time I actively farmed for Ascension and Skill Up materials was way back when I first got 5-star SSR Caster Waver (Zhuge Liang (Lord El-Melloi II)) and I only did because he’s one of my fave Servants. Nowadays, I just rely on the shops that come with events, and it’s worked well enough for me. It helps that the Summon rates in FGO are so crappy that I almost never have new Servants to level up. So the Ascension and Skill Up items I obtain just pile up, unused. Sometimes, I don’t even bother to clear out all the contents of event shops.

The first Servant Summer Festival 2020 banner features the following characters:

Servant Summer Festival Pickup 1 Summon Banner Draw Results

After such a crappy pull from the Dantes banner, I decided to go to the first banner and throw my remaining Saint Quartz (SQ) there instead. This is where I pulled before. Thankfully, I managed to get Archer Jeanne to NP2. Now I’m hoping she’ll come home a third time.

I should have waited before pulling though. See, the thing is, Ibaraki-Douji and Ushiwakamaru have days wherein they’re the sole 4-star that’s on rate-up. There are also days where they’re both on the banner. When I first pulled for Jeanne, both were featured and I was able to get multiple copies of them. 

Now, my Ibaraki-Douji is at NP5 while Ushiwakamaru is at NP3. As such, since I wanted to pull on this banner again, the best thing to do would be to wait until Ushiwakamaru’s solo rate-up so I could get the chance to possibly NP5 her.

But I was too impatient. I didn’t want to wait. I wanted to try pulling already. I shouldn’t have done it. I regret pulling now. No, I didn’t get another copy of Ibaraki-Douji. That would have been much better since at least I can sell the 6th copy for some Rare Prisms. Instead, all I got from this draw was crap and more crap. There was nothing new to see here at all. The dupes weren’t good at all either.

Such a crappy draw brought me back to the Dantes banner where I decided to do another multi-pull. I had the sounds on, but I didn’t bother looking at the screen as the Summon animations played. I wasn’t really expecting anything, considering the results of my previous draws. 

So the next time I glanced at the screen, I was being greeted by the sight of a golden Caster card that soon turned into Caster Gilgamesh. Welp, looks like my Cas Gil is now NP5. Not exactly complaining. Still, wouldn’t it be nice to get a new Servant instead? Ah, well, what can you do, right? The Summons weren’t over yet and the next card was trash as usual so I just looked away again. The next time I glanced at the screen, it was to the sight of this golden card. 

OMFG! Was super hyped to see a golden Servant card even though I didn’t even know what I was gonna get. I was just glad I wasn’t getting yet another 3-star Servant or CE. You know, it’s been a long, long while since I’ve seen this type of card that, initially, I had no idea which Class this corresponded to. It was only after the card revealed itself that I finally knew this image symbolized the Avenger Class.

Yeah, I can’t believe it either. Somehow actually managed to Summon 5-star SSR Avenger Edmond Dantès, the Count of Monte Cristo. *Speechless* Seriously, I have no words for this. Just- OMFG! So freaking hyped. Wow! Just wow! 

My only other Avenger is 4-star SR Avenger of Shinjuku, Hessian Lobo. I actually got 2 copies of him but I haven’t bothered to fuse them together to increase his NP Level. He’s at max level but all his skills are at Level 1. The reason for that is the same as to why I haven’t increased his NP Level. It’s because I’ve hardly used him. Not only are Ruler enemies super rare, there’s also the fact that the friend support list exists. If I need an Avenger, I almost always just borrow one from my friends. After all, a lot of them even have Avengers that have been Grailed to 100 and/or that are at NP5 and with max skills. The few times I’ve used Lobo were whenever we weren’t allowed to borrow a friend support and I was up against a Ruler enemy.  

The Summons weren’t over yet, so I looked away again. The next time I glanced at the screen, I saw yet another golden Avenger card. OMFG! Seriously? Definitely not complaining. Just can’t believe this. I mean, I’m still reeling from the shock of getting my first 5-star Avenger. 

Plus, I already got a 4-star from this draw. Am I really getting another gold Servant again? Well, it could be just be another copy of Hessian Lobo. AFAIK, he’s currently the only 4-star Avenger. Not that it matters either way. This pull was already awesome enough as it was. I’m already more than pleased with the results of this draw.

So the gold Avenger card finally finished revealing itself. It turned into- *Screaming* Cue keyboard mashing and more incoherent screaming. OMFG! Can’t believe this. Is this for real? Feels like a dream. Seriously, did I really just get another copy of the Count of Monte Cristo? *More screaming* Ahh! So hyped! So happy! Can’t believe this! I have no words for this! Just, OMFG! He came home. Twice. Thank you, thank you. 

Honestly, I never thought this would happen. I mean, I barely had any SQ left. I thought I’d just end up getting nothing as usual. Heck, the results of my previous draws had me starting to regret the decision to waste what little Saint Quartz I had left. Now no more regrets. I’m glad I decided to pull. I think this is one of the best pulls I’ve ever gotten here in FGO. It’s really freaking awesome. 

Aside from Caster Gilgamesh and 2 copies of the Count of Monte Cristo, I also got another copy of Art of Death as well as one of the featured CEs, 4-star Sunset Jam. Since I already had a few copies of Art of Death from other banners, these copies I just got finally let me MLB said Craft Essence.

Increase Servants Noble Phantasm Level

I increased Avicebron’s NP Level from 3 to 5. I did the same for Caster Gilgamesh. 

I also got Edmond Dantes from NP1 to NP2.

I was worried I didn’t have any more resources to max out Dantes because I’d already given everything to Archer Jeanne. No, seriously, I got Jeanne from Level 1 to 90. Then I decided to Grail her to Level 100, which cost me even more Exp cards and QP. Then I got all 3 of her skills from Level 1 to 10 which also cost a lot of QP. It definitely put a dent on my stash of materials.

Since I wasn’t sure I had enough resources left, I decided to hold off on Leveling up Ibaraki-Douji and Ushiwakamaru. Now I’m glad I did that so I could use my remaining Exp cards to Level up Dantes. I had to retrieve the stash of Exp cards I’d saved in my Second Archive to finish getting him to Level 90. I haven’t made up my mind yet on whether to Grail him or not, which is a good thing because I’m all out of Exp cards. So even if I wanted to Grail him right now, I wouldn’t be able to.

To my surprise and relief, I actually had enough materials to get all of the Count’s skills from Level 1 to 10. But now my stash is really in need of replenishing. The same could be said about my QP. I had so much before I got Jeanne and Dantes. Now my QP’s at an all-time low. All my resources are at an all-time low. The Lottery event can’t come soon enough.

Anyway, I also did the Rank-Up Quest that would buff Edmond’s Noble Phantasm.

As I played through the Servant Summer Festival 2020 event, I was able to acquire Edmond Dantes’s costume, the Monte Cristo Selection. To unlock this, I needed to spend more materials, so it was probably better to hold off on doing this for now. But I couldn’t help it. I wanted to have the costume now and so I readily spent the materials necessary to unlock it. No regrets. I like Dantes’s other Ascension appearances, but I like this costume too. I enjoy being able to change his look depending on what I feel like seeing.

This happened before I got Cas Gil to NP5, but I also spent the materials needed to unlock his costume (known as Establishment) as soon as I was able to obtain it from playing through Serva Fes. The only costumes I didn’t unlock are Robin’s as well as 5-star SSR Moon Cancer BB’s. I don’t have even a single copy of BB so even if I wanted to, I can’t unlock her costumes. 

I have Robin and he’s even at NP5 (not exactly an accomplishment considering 3-stars are very easy to get) but mine isn’t even at max Level yet. Even before Jeanne thankfully came home, I already had way too many Archers so I've never needed to use Robin. It’s too bad. I actually like his costume. But I felt it wasn’t worth it to unlock it if I wasn’t even using him. Ah, well, maybe some other time.

I took Dantes to a few battles. He’s good even if he’s up against enemies where he doesn’t have Class advantage. His Attack stat is also really quite high. While I’m glad about that, I also couldn’t help but be rather sad when I noticed how much lower Archer Jeanne’s Attack is when compared to Edmond’s.

Even when Grailed to 100, a Level 90 Edmond still has higher Attack than Jeanne. Yeah, it bothers me, but I already knew this. I mean, I already knew that Jeanne wasn’t meta and that she has low Attack when compared to her fellow 5-stars. It didn’t matter to me though. I rolled for her because I like her. If I was rolling for gameplay reasons, I wouldn’t bother since, apart from her not being meta, like I said, I already have way more Archers than I know what to do with.

As for Dantes, he is meta, but I hadn’t planned to pull for him. Heck, I never would have thought I’d be able to get him with what little SQ I had left. I’m glad I have him though. I do like him, and having him in my Chaldea now, I just ended up liking him even more. Which is why I’m sad that I don’t have the support that makes him meta, the one that really makes him shine.

I’m talking about 5-star SSR Caster Scáthach-Skaði. I didn’t even try pulling for her. I skipped her in favor of Jeanne who showed up a few banners after Skadi. Sure, I can borrow a friend support Skadi, but it’s not the same as having your own so you can have 2 Skadis supporting Dantes or any other Servant with a Quick-type Noble Phantasm. Ah, well. Too bad, right? 

Servant Summer Festival Pickup 1 and 2 Summon Banner Single Draw Results

My last multi-draw where I got the Count of Monte Cristo left me with only 30 Saint Quartz. Really, that should have been the end of this pulling spree. Edmond came home, and I even got him to NP2. The same could be said for Jeanne. My Caster Gilgamesh and Lancer Ibaraki-Douji are both at NP5. Assassin Ushiwakamaru’s at NP3. 

I’m not really interested in the third Servant Summer Festival Pickup Banner which features 5-star SSR Moon Cancer BB, 4-star Saber Medb, and 4-star Foreigner Mysterious Heroine XX. So there was no more reason to pull. Besides, I highly doubt I’d be able to get any more golds with only 30 SQ.

Unfortunately, not pulling is easier said than done. I don’t know. I guess I still felt like drawing. I decided to do single draws this time. I alternated between the banners that featured Dantes and Jeanne. As can be expected, most of the results of my draws were terrible, to say the least. What a waste of SQ. I regret this now. Wish I hadn’t done this.

I did get one of the featured CEs, the 5-star Hero on the Beach.

But it’s not that good, especially since there’s no way I can MLB this.

A gold Lancer card also showed up in one of my single draws. This turned into 4-star SR Lancer Nezha. Sure, I’m glad I got a new Servant. Still, I do wish I had gotten an SSR instead or something other than a Lancer since I already have NP5 Ibaraki-Douji. 

Apart from her, I also already have a few other Lancers. The ones I use most often are 4-star SR Lancer Altria Pendragon Alter (LAlter) and 4-star Lancer Parvati. LAlter’s at NP3 with all her skills maxed while Parvati’s at NP2 with her skills at 10/9/10.  

I wouldn’t be able to use Nezha now anyway since I’m all out of resources. Besides, so far, Lancer Alter and Parvati have worked well enough for me. And I can always borrow a friend support Lancer if necessary. Furthermore, since Ibaraki-Douji’s at NP5 while I only have a single copy of Nezha, I’d say Ibaraki’s summer version gets the priority when it comes to who I’d level up first once I have the resources needed to do so.

Rank the Limited servants(Knight class edition) best to worst: Sabers(Okita , Nero Bride, Void Shiki , Musashi , Proto!Arthur , Sigurd , Beni and Astolfo) , Archers(Gilgamesh, Summer Artoria , Ishtar , Moriarty , Summer Jeanne , Superhuman Orion and Sei Shonagon) and Lancers(Scathach, Brynhildr , Summer Tamamo and Eresh)

…….. I’m not sure if I’m the one to be answering this……. And I can’t vouch for ALL of them because RNG hates me, and depending on who I managed to get. And I’m basing this all on the current Lostbelt difficulty, so opinions may varied which before you kill me if I don’t agree with your waifu and husbando…

Sabers:

Art ST Spamming: Nero Bride > Beni > Medb. 

Maybe Beni is better, but from skillset I feel Nero bride wins both support and using for herself. 

Medb I put lower due to every FUCKING MSQ Boss fight is having a debuff immunity, but her other 2 skill is decent to help. Spamming not sure, since my criteria for this is based on Lancelot Saber in both CRIT hell and charging of NP

Quicks ST Saber: Astolfo => Okita > Fran

Unless Okita is getting an upgrade, Astolfo for now wins. Excluding stun most are good for both damage and surviving long for Lostbelt hell. 

Okita as I’m still using her… Still Ok with Skadi’s support, which both are. 

Fran… Not sure why to me, tricky to use and her demerit outweighs more… Which extremely dangerous to survive in Lostbelt situations

Buster ST Saber: Musashi=Sigurd

Both are situational to me. Musashi is more for general Bosses while Sigurd is more towards Boss with Dragon-traits. 

But Musashi may be more preferred, since Sigurd you’ll need to bring best boi George to debuff enemy with Dragon trait. Both have good surviving skills of invincibility and guts respectively

AOE Sabers: Arthurs > Void

Because everywhere in every Lostbelt will at least have one fucking Large-trait monster to deal with. And Arthur having a now crit strengthen, hits enemy real hard without his AOE NP. 

Void, unless she get one more buff for her AOE damage… You can still bring her mobs to insta-kill, but you’re going to time when to heal because her third skill drains quite an amount of NP

Archers:

Arts ST Archers: Orion => Artoria

Both are good at spamming their NP… But let’s face it, it’s a Grand Servant vs normal Servant. His whole skillset + NP outwins King Golden Asshole says pretty much how wanted he’ll be when his own banner returns again. And GSSR will be hell to get him among all the other Archers. But if you have, you’re a lucky bastard to have them and I want your luck right now!

Calamity Jane: I haven’t got the chance to use her… But if your team isn’t the kind that generates 30 stars minimum per turn, you can still get up to evasion from her skill. She’s very situational because it all dependant on the turn you want to use of how many stars you have. Otherwise, NP skill of ignore evasion is more than welcome on those evading bosses

Buster ST Archers: Fujino > Moriarty > Anne & Mary

Fujino: NP gain not much of an issue if you have her first skill up, good survivability of defense and mainly guts, NP also hit hard with main focus on buff block on the turn when enemy boss buff themselves like ignore invincibility before using their NP… But now can be dependant if the boss is not permanent buff with debuff immunity

Moriarty: After his strengthening, it’d be best for 2nd skill > 3rd skill to fully utilize his support buff in the team. But he’s dependant with a min of 10 stars to activate his skill. His NP hits even better with his first skill, helping to generate stars along the way. But has a problem of surviving so you’ll need support to keep him alive

Anne & Mary: Unless you have guts buff on them via third skill/support/Mystic code, LB’s situation ain’t that welcoming in terms of enemy doing higher amount of damage to them before they could use their NP. Glass canon with decent NP gain similar to their Rider version… I’d say not impossible if you have the relative Servants, but it’ll be very risky to be able to utilize to their fullest

AOE NP Servants: Gilgamesh = Ishtar > Osakabehime = Sei Shonagon = Jeanne > Helena

Gilgamesh: As the oldest king got dethrone on damage output for overall limited Archers… You still gonna need him, which unless really been datamined, as majority of the Servants are weak to Enuma Elish, including himself. Still a strongest hitter for AOE output like Ishtar. And getting him signifies you wasted this year whole luck, and subsequent SSR after him are just you selling your soul to the devil

Ishtar: The goddess which Archer Gil no doubt want to have her head. And with her strengthening and good support team, she can hit real hard as Gilgamesh. Just remember to time her 3rd skill well before the usage of your NP preferably too

Sei, Osakabehime, Jeanne: They are mainly used as a support with a decent hit of their NP. 

Jeanne: Jeanne onee-chan with self invinciblity, Arts + NP damage + Crit if your field waterside and attack buff to Good Alignment Servants if your roster is them mainly. Plus Onee-chan beam can give crit stars by overcharge for 3 turns.

Osakabehime: A bit tricky by 2nd skill, if you’re running with a ST NP servant in, you’ve got 3 turns to deal with that one target, unless said target remove the debuff themselves. Decent damage dealing, but otherwise she’s your good support Archer to have

Sei: She may be higher than both Jeanne and Osakabehime, with decent amount of Servants who are Neutral and/or Man Attributes. A great support Archer for both her party and herself with all three of her skills and decent NP damage.

Helena: Similar to her Caster version, she’s got NP charge to support your team. But unfortunately she’s got low NP gain and damage, which many other Archer outclassing her. Slightly better in terms of cooldown, but unfortunately her most important 1st skill takes the longest cooldown. You’re probably better off with other AOE NPs Archer for farming

Lancers:

ST NP: Scathach > Raikou > Tamamo no Mae = Brynhildr > Ibaraki > Kiyohime

Scathach: Together with her Caster version, she’s definitely one of the most welcome ST NP against Divine Enemies. While insta-death is obviously useless in MSQ fights, her stun is useful but situational if debuff immunity isn’t there. Her first skill may be RNG, but evade is still there for surviving in boss fight

Raikou: A strong case of Glass canon, but her damage outweighs over her lack of defense buff. With strong support skillset for self and both party, she’s definitely one of your best general-trait boss killer against their insane stacks of defense buff. With Summer BB in for support + star generator CE, her whole self is fully otmpized for a painful buster brave or just brave chain itself to the enemy boss

Tamamo no Mae: Strong hitting Anti-male NP with decent support skill set. But in regards to her demerit, you’ll need to time right of when to use unless you have her up on debuff immunity and debuff remover ready. And for her second skill, make sure you have your defensive skill ready if said enemy Servant are near to full NP bar

Brynhildr: One of the good supports for star generation and skillset wise. NP damage while it hits hard, it’s situational because not every Servant we’ve seen is Brynhildr’s Beloved trait

Ibaraki: With SO MANY GOD-DAMN-FUCKING-HELL Servants having defense buff, she’s one with the most welcoming ignore defense to beat shitless out of them. Decent skillset but third skill is really your RNG hating or loving you. Especially worst if you’re facing an enemy who enjoys throwing debuff at your team. Demerit of her NP I feel isn’t that much of a problem, unless you’re also relying her to do star generation. But she does make it up with overcharge of crit stars, which if you’re a whale, best to have it at NP5

Kiyohime: Despite a strong hitting NP, she’s got a problem for NP gain and debuff kit is really dependant… Which now not in her favor again: Debuff Immunity. And lacks of defense and survivability for herself… Especially most mobs are Berserker or mixed class mobs

AOE NP: Romulus Eresh = Melt

Romulus: Yep, our lord and savior. Even with his release.... He’s actually tied with Eresh. Both have the same strong support + defense + overkilling NP with their own support with them (especially pair with Boudica ironically, but gender buff don’t work on Roma via datamine and lore reason). Romulus mainly boils down to his Roman trait debuff stacking on his enemies... But both Eresh and Romulus shares the same problem in current Lostbelt hell: 

Ignore Invincibility

Buff Block

Buff Removal

Debuff removal

Debuff Removal Success Rate (ask DW fucking why)

Debuff Immunity variations

And both play a different role at the end, depending on which you prefer. If you’re looking for a more support-oriented SSR Lancer, Ereshkigal is your girl. If you’re looking for a more AOE ROMA Overkilling Stacking NP, the lord and savior will answer your call.

Eresh: By far still the best AOE NP Limited Servant to have, with both strong party support, surviving yet decent AOE Damage dealing NP but mainly enough for farming. However, she’ll need support on NP gain if you’re planning to do spamming out of it. Though once she do get an NP damage buff by chance… She’s going to become one of the most wanted limited SSR Lancers

Melt: Again, her second effect NP is one of the more welcoming to have in LB hell hole: ignore defense. Her first effect is only activated if you have her 2nd skill active, which is really crucial. Skillset is pretty good, and with NP being Arts, you can have it both spamming and crit hell to your enemies. But do note when you use her third skill, your other 2 Servants’ NP is drain quite a number as she charged herself… So her on double Tamamo team or Tamamo + Casgil + Paracelsus… You get your catch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9tJH9HDEyc

Okay so, because of my recent draught of pulling Rate Up SSR’s, I’ve been trying to come up with ways to keep me invested in the game besides seeing the summoning go flash and getting excited. I’ve decided I want to try and build a dedicated Arts NP spam team. Especially with Setsubun coming up I think this is the best way to spend my time in FGO. I have fairly competent Buster Breaker teams and Stall Teams, but I’m missing a dedicated Arts and Quick teams. I feel like I don’t have the servants necessary to optimize a Quick oriented team as much as an Arts oriented one right now, so I’m choosing to focus my resources on an Arts team. 

I have a wealth of Arts focused SR’s, so I’m curious about input from other players on how best to optimize it. Currently, the Servants I have that have Arts NP’s or are Art’s oriented that are leveled are Zhuge Liang, Nero Bride, Merlin, Da Vinci, Mash, BB, Nero, and Chloe. The Arts oriented servants I have in my backups that are not leveled are Emiya (Alter), Gilgamesh (Caster), Lancelot (Saber), Nitocris (Assassin), Nursery Rhyme, and D’eon. 

Since both my Waver and Merlin are relegated to other compositions I would like to construct this team without their inclusion (and to account for Setsubun). I’m inclined to build this team around Caster Gil and Nero Bride, with other supports/DPS as backups, but the entire point of making this post is to hear from other players about what Servants I should level and how I should combo them. I’ve never really dug into the gameplay theory of FGO, so this is my first honest attempt at that.
