So I was like Ew no :( I am a teen that is gross. Then he explained he meant like fandom RP and how it works and then I joined him on GaiaOnline YES I'M THAT OLD THANKS AND YES I STILL USE GAIA. I started with hetalia. Yes I'd still like to die

How were you introduced to TOA? Lailah hinted at me for like 2 weeks with lines like "I joined this group and you know Gerome misses Cynthia" and I kept going "sounds fun :)" and did not realise they were hinting until they straight up asked. wow I have been here 6 months

Do you have any pets? No :( I don't have the time for them

What is your favorite time of year and why?(Season, holiday, general period) Summer despite you know. The bugs. But I can actually function in summer

Some interests and things you like/enjoy? I like cooking, baking, oh and I'm a cosplayer! I've been at it for 3 years and yes it's mostly fire emblem bar ONE (soon to be two)

What non-Fire Emblem games do you play? Tales of (WHERE ARE MY TALES FRIENDS AT), Persona, critically acclaimed mmorpg FFXIV, octopath, ?? I'm not sure what else? I tried playing dragon age but it crashes constantly even with the fixes

Tell us some funfacts and trivia about yourself! I once wrote about the ships I hate for an English exam. Got an A. But at what cost. One was a hetalia ship (I was a child.) and another was Bart and Milhouse. 😑 Yes that Bart and Milhouse.

How did you get into Fire Emblem? I was told to play Awakening because I'll love it and I'll totally love all these characters. Um. I never finished it. Then Fates came out, twitter didn't shut up about that and I refused to play it. Then 3H came out. I saw Edelgard and it was joever for me. So I bought it and I've been here ever since.

What Fire Emblem games have you played? Engage, 3H, Fates (all three routes baby), Awakening, Echoes, Warriors, Sacred Stones, a little FEH until I was put off cause I summoned Easter Xander, a little FE7 and I WILL. FINISH. PATH OF RADIANCE. I SWEAR TO YOU ALL RIGHT NOW.

First & Favorite Fire Emblem games: first was technically Awakening but I didn't like it so I dropped it until 2022 I wanna say? So really my first FE was 3H. My favourite? Depends on the day.

Do you have characters or types of characters you don’t think you can handle writing, but wish you could? I wanna write unrepentant assholes but I can't :( I struggle with that. I'm trying tho

What kind of scenes, situations etc do you believe you enjoy writing the most? (If you filled this out last year, has this changed in any way?) um. Well. I like intimate stuff if you're picking up what I'm putting down. But then I run away about 2 replies in so I write fanfic usually. I like kissing too. Um. I love high emotional scenes too. If I could describe my writing style, it's "My Dinner With Andre - the novel" (I've never seen the film but I get the gist)

Do you have any scenario in mind for your muse(s) that gets you thinking “man I hope I get to write this one day”? I want Ryoma to be happy. Like genuinely I want him to be in a place where he can forgive himself, maybe even forgive the nohrians. I want him to move on and have a peaceful life as a teacher. But I also want him to fall in love which is. So silly. But. My brain is a shipper lol. As for Cynthia? Hm. I have thoughts for her but that's a whole arc

Favorite TOA-related memories? I dunno! I've had a lotta fun here but I can't think of any specific stuff offhand? Maybe how welcoming everyone was when I joined that was nice 🥺

Present or past tense? Present! I live in the moment! I tend to tense match but present. I like third person and second person POV too but I can't RP in second person BC it feels weird? I mostly write in second person if I'm writing a vent fic. Why? I dunno

Normal size text, small text, no preference? I like tiny text but again I size match. I snoop to see what my partner does and copy them :D

1) How many works do you have on AO3?

26 — though 6 of those are unfinished WIPs (and only 2 that I plan on definitely finishing)

2) What’s your total AO3 word count?

384,397 — honestly a little shocked by that I could have written like 4 books for all that word count. But oh well it’s all skill building and I enjoy reading my writing back.

3) What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

They are ALL from Carry On and written in like 2018 so the kudos is a reflection of time and the dropping of 2 sequels since posting them, not necessarily quality or anything. In fact the top by kudos was my first one when returning to fic and in hindsight it is not super well written.

4) What fandoms do you write for?

Currently it’s mostly Fire Emblem because I got hooked again during my existential spiral over xmas. I wooooould like to write some more Dragon Age, but I am not an OC girly really. And I feel like DA fandom is big into OCs.

Most of my backlog is Carry On, but I analysed the text to shit and fell out of a love with it a bit.

5) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes - on newer fics. I should reply to comments on older fics but idk my social anxiety tells me that if I respond to someone and didn’t respond to someone who commented on that thing a year prior - that second person will hate me. Which now that I type it out is insane.

I also did stop responding some time in like 2020-2021 for some reason? I’m not sure why but I sure think I’m an asshole for it.

6) What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

None of my fics have angsty endings. Not my MO sorry.

7) What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

All of my fics get like, half their word count again in epilogue so… they all end pretty happy.

But given the Carry On sequels and that most of my FE stuff is before the end of the war it’s probably Overdue Commitments since that is post war, getting married, etc. And thus the only one that actually takes place after all of the other shit characters have to go through in their actual canon. (Also recency bias)

8) Do you get hate on fics?

I mean one of them got book marked with this “The first chapters are perfect. The rest, not so much. Beware” which is a bit rude. But that’s my no3 by kudos as above so like… not exactly gonna keep me up at night.

9) Do you write smut?

Not often. When I do most of it doesn’t get finished and lives in my drafts. That said I recently dropped a 10k word smut fic that is probably gonna get a sequel because I got some nice comments. And I have a 25k smut fic, and an unfinished one too.

… so that’s probably actually just a yes.

10) Do you write crossovers?

No. Not against it though. I would love to do a The Locked Tomb/Dragon Age but I don’t think I have the writing style necessary to write TLT characters.

11) Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of.

12) Have you ever had a fic translated?

Maybe? I’ve had people offer and have said I’d be fine with it, but never actually followed up.

13) Have you ever cowritten a fic before?

No, but I’m always down if someone’s into that stuff. Used to do a lot of RP, so I do like the collaborative stuff.

14) What’s your all-time favorite ship?

I honestly do not know. There are a lot I like but I don’t know if I could pin down an all-time fav. I’m sure I’ll wake up in a cold sweat to the obvious answer at like 3am though.

15) What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Putting In Effort because goooood I love Marihilda as a ship. But it really didn’t get much traction and Marianne is really hard to write like emotionally/mentally because she is so self-depreciating and depressed. It is not a fun headspace to spend your time in, particularly if no one is reading it.

16) What are your writing strengths?

I like the cadence I write with I think? The “know the rules and then break them” thing. Where my punctuation isn’t technically correct but it produces a certain rhythm in the text. Honestly I don’t even know if readers notice that.

Also I think maybe character voice? But that could be mere cowardice because I will not write a character I cannot hear clearly in my head.

17) What are your writing weaknesses?

Brevity.

I tend to write everything blow by blow. Which can be great for fic romance. But when you need to GET THROUGH A DAMN SCENE??? Impossible. Why do I write everyone individually walking out the door? Must we put up this tent in excruciating detail?? We do not even need this scene. Send help.

18) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

I think it’s cool when people do it but I wouldn’t put it in mine because I do not know any other languages. I would maybe make an exception for latin tho because it’s sick as hell and also dead.

19) First fandom you wrote for?

Artemis Fowl, on the fan website at like age 9.

Literally just went looking for it and got a massive blast from the past - but also the website doesn’t work because of a fatal MySQL error. Not that I’d expect to find my stuff there, that would have been like 15-20 years ago now.

20) Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

It’s still a WIP but probably Affection, just an all round comforting read for me. But again I suspect that’s recency bias. Also possibly the fact that it is a WIP and I don’t like endings.

I would like to go back and tidy it up a bit though. Ferdinand von Aegir does not use conjunctions.

20) Are there any ships that you like, whether popular or rarepair?

Alear/Yunaka is the one I actively ship and it's sadly less popular than it should, but another one I really like is Chloè/Merrin because not only they're this close to making out in their C support, there's this one artist that just constantly makes gorgeous art about them.

Timerra/Ivy is another neat one even though I don't actively ship them and- oh, right!

In the last Engage manga chapter Rosado calls Alcryst cute and, you know. I can see those two making a pretty good pair <3

22) What is your favorite song on the OST?

Oh, it's got to be Determined Journey. Such a good song and it fits the mood of the maps it plays in so well.

32) Was there anything you disliked in the game, whether it came to gameplay or story, from a major dislike to a minor nitpick?

Compared to, uh, another Switch Fire Emblem game, I don't have any major dislikes in Engage, but that said I do have a bunch of minor grievances.

Like Alear's first encounter with the Corrupted being accidentally goofy through awkward dialogue (luckily the manga and later scenes make it clear their fear of the Corrupted isn't just "ooo scary undead!", it's straight up PTSD), the whole thing about Veyle's draconic instinct being a load of garbage in my opinion because they don't apply to any other dragon in Elyos so why is she the exception (that's the reason why I go with an alternative explanation for her evil self's origin being a personality crafted from her intrusive thoughts exacerbated by Zephia's magic).

Alear still being an Avatar thus unable to be called by name is quite frustrating given their whole character arc has a major component in wanting to be approachable despite being the Divine Dragon and, you know. I just hate the way Switch FE Avatars are handled.

And Zephia may be probably the most interesting example of the archetype, but at the end of the day she's yet another evil sorceress in skimpy clothing whose majority of the character relies on being beautiful and/or motherly. And I say this while still liking her and thinking she's underrated.

(Personally I appreciate that her wanting to have a child with Sombron and only Sombron is not out of any romantic interest but out of a coldhearted desire to have the most powerful servant possible all to herself. (Note that Zephia begins being interested in the idea of a child only after Sombron expresses his whole, um, philosophy on family) Also she is absolutely not interested in Alear in any way which not gonna lie, it is so refreshing to see.)

Also I hate Veyle's ankle chains and think they're stupid.

I didn’t used to because it made me feel very weird, but I’ve been trying hard to respond to (most) comments the last few years now that I’ve heard readers really like that 

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I don’t personally feel like I write a lot of 100% angst endings with nothing uplifting, so this is a little hard, but maybe last night i dreamed of you because the timeloop isn’t broken? Or maybe both fics in my back to the sun, back to the shore, back to what i was before series? It’s hard to say!

Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve ever written?

I do not! I blend realities sometimes, but I’ve never had a full “characters from Reality A meet characters from Reality B” crossover.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I’ve received rude comments before, but 90% of the time I just delete them. I occasionally reply if I think the person is probably genuinely asking a question and is just coming off obtusely rude though. 

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

I have posted smut to ao3 in the past (with a lot of working up to it, lol). I’ve written way more smut than what I’ve posted, but I don’t think I’ll ever post the rest of it, ever (and if I did, certainly not ever under my typical name). I would be too embarrassed to elaborate any more than that, I think, lol

I cannot say! For FE, I guess it’s Leo Trio OT3? But if it’s “favorite ship for all time, forever and always” my brain doesn’t work that way, lol. My loves come and go like the ebbing of the tides; I will always have many favorites

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I want all my forever unfinished WIPs to be finished! But if I had to choose, I guess??? That fic where Leo Trio OT3 moves into a haunted house together? Only because it would be like a 30K minimum fic I don’t think I’ll ever finish/I love spooky things the most.

(Also that fic where Severa & Owain have embarrassing first time virgin sex because it would be so funny and I can’t make myself write any more, despite my efforts, lol)

What are your writing strengths?

Hard to say! I feel like other people have to tell me where my strengths are. I think I’ve cut down on unnecessarily long descriptors now compared to when I first started writing many years ago, though. 

What are you writing weaknesses?

Multichaptered fic! Writing consistently! All my long fics are complete when posted because I find myself unreliable otherwise. I don’t want to publish chapter 1 of a fic that may not be finished in 3 years/won’t be updated ever again. I try to keep fics in a series relatively standalone for this reason too.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I try not to do it! If I’m not fluent in the language, I’m obviously going to be making big grammar mistakes, which I try to avoid. However, love to see it + translations in other fic where the authors are fluent in more than one language

What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?

Kingdom Hearts! That was many, many years ago back when I was like 12 though, lol. Shoutout to KH for getting me into writing!

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

I think maybe Dark Things Grew!  I wasn’t sure if anyone would even like it or not when I posted it; it was the longest piece of horror fiction I’d ever written at the time, the length of which I’d wanted to do for a long time, and I’m happy with how it came out, even now. (I wrote a 20K spoopy fic in another fandom before this, but DTG somehow felt darker and is double the length, so it ended up loving it just a bit more, lol). Plus, I think I’m always going to have a soft spot for Fire Emblem

Most of you follow me for my HxH content. I was going to spend a lot of time writing today as I have free time but I wanted to get some feeling out about a subject.

In case you didn’t know, I love Fire Emblem. It’s my favorite gaming series out of anything else. The voice actor for Dimitri was the reason I got into HxH in the first place. (It’s Illumi’s VA).

I, however, have been in the FE community much, much longer. Just not on Tumblr. Mainly on YouTube, Reddit, and Twitter.

Recently, there’s been a lot of drama happening around a specific FE creator. I’m not going to say his name but he’s the largest creator on the platform. This is all hitting me extremely hard because of things that happened in my past that I don’t like discussing.

This is really just a rant to express why I may not have content up for a little bit. It’s hard to write fluffy happiness when you’re just a little numb and sad. I might get to some of my angsts content but I can’t promise anything.

Secondly, I’ll be going on vacation soon. Really shouldn’t but I’m being told to go. So I’ll be on tumblr and maybe can do one shots but I was going to try and backlog some chapters so that ppl will be excited for new content. I don’t know if that will happen now.

I’m sorry for this rant. I wanted to do an 100 follow special with head cannons or shipping but I’m not sure of my mental state will allow me to continue. I’ll let you know if this changes.

I seriously care for all the likes, comments, reposts that everyone does. I am a small creator but I every single like brings a smile to my face. I want to give you all a special happiness in this desolate year. Thank you all!
