hello hello! let's see let's see what is the idea doc giving us now

ah yes, 24 is my malum quarantine au. i started this during the first initial covid quarantine, and the premise is that michael hears about the lockdown and doesn't think he'll do well living by himself with no human contact, so calum temporarily moves in. obviously quarantine turned into a much bigger, longer thing than any of us expected, so with calum becoming a more permanent resident of the house romance blossoms. part of me does want to revisit this, if only because there's so much about loneliness and fear and everything that went on in 2020 that would probably be good to process in writing and would definitely be really interesting to explore, but it also now feels a little callous to use the beginning of the pandemic as a backdrop for a silly little romance fic when so many people died and are still being negatively affected by covid. i also feel like i've already forgotten some of the details of life in that first lockdown. i'm not sure if this fic will ever see life, but i'm also not definitively saying i won't ever write it
