ah!! id absolutely recommend watching it!! my favourite scene has to be the entirety of hyper metal and sonics fight!! esp towards the end,, and i drew my favourite quote some time ago when i was first doodling sonic again (spoiler warning for the OVA of course) ( x )

So @starryamber came to stay over the weekend and we had an amazing time! She got me these lovely gifts - some Pusheen PJs, chocolate coins, a book with quotes from the old 4Kids Pokemon dub presented like they’re profound statements about happiness (so probably the greatest book ever written) and my absolute favourite, Makoto/Chiyo art featuring Chiyo’s cat, Fizz. Like, I cannot express how happy this made me, thank you Holly! We managed to cram a lot into one weekend, so here’s a write-up featuring more photos:

On Saturday, we went to my favourite cat cafe and got to sit at a table where there were three cats chillin’ and it was amazing.

Then we went to see Paddington 2 and this movie restored my faith in humanity. I can’t believe they made a film about Paddington bear being arrested and sent to the most wholesome prison on the planet, where he made friends with Knuckles the Echidna, but it was definitely a movie that needed to exist. Do yourself a favour and go see this movie. You don’t need to have seen the first one, but the first one was amazing as well.

On Saturday night time my parents took us to see the Lantern Parade in Alnwick, which was also great. They usually put in on in December, but I guess we got lucky that this year they did it during November and it just happened to be when Holly was visiting. The rest of the time Holly was over was spent dedicated to video games. 8) We downloaded Sonic Forces and managed to complete it pretty quickly. It was an all right game, though I couldn’t tell you what the heck the plot was. The character creator was easily the best part and I was impressed with the sheer amount of clothes options you could unlock. I feel like this game suffered coming out on the heels of Sonic Mania, which is a much better game that I’d recommend over this one, but I still had fun with Sonic Forces. We also each picked up a copy of Pokemon USUM, but neither of us have gotten far enough with it to notice too much difference from the first games yet.
