I miss when everyone on my dash listened to Welcome to Night Vale so there’s be a good chance that on any ole day someone would reblog a quote that would grab me by the throat and forcibly ascend me to a higher plane where I understood myself and the universe better and with more kindness but also a little spook

For the sake of some variety in your inbox, I shall present my birthday well-wishes to you in the form of a small collection of my (many) favourite Welcome to Night Vale quotes that I believe are at least semi-relevant to the occasion.

I started listening to it at the malleable age of 11 years old and it fundamentally altered my speech and thought patterns like a bone marrow transplant altering its recipient’s blood composition. I highly recommended it, if you’re not already a fan. 1000/10 comfort podcast and the first unapologetically queer piece of media I ever listened to (from episode one!! :D).

127. What makes you happy?

When others are happy, cooking for those I love, taulupis and mckalyrosemarie, when people come together to help one another despite their differences. Happiness has been a fleeting and rarely experienced thing in my life and it's something that's only just starting to be really discovered/experienced but I've found that the things that envoke those emotions are the things that are inherent to humanity. Caring for one another, music, dancing, soup, etc.

I’m terrefied haha. No but honestly idk. Everything always seems scary when it has to do with change, especially when you can’t do anything against it. Too much dubstep in a song. I’m not a fan of dubstep, not at all, but in some songs it’s okay. And then there are other songs where they throw every single piece of dupsteb into your face, so that I just can’t. I always skip these kind of songs.
