So octrainisms wrote me a small Fic regarding the Friends episode where the group talks about Sex or Food, and I loved it. I asked what they would like in return and this was it. Because I wanted to work on my writing and then, along the way I felt like drawing. I had it scanned and it came out really light. But anyways here it is!
@octrainisms  Thank you so much for your work! You're an amazing writer and I hope you like this!
This is a link to their story

The wind gushed through Elliot’s hair as he stood at the edge of the jump ship, looking down at the familiar land just below them all. Once he got a feel of the direction the ship was coming in from, he stepped back running his hand through his hair trying to smooth it back into place. Octavio was watching Elliot with great interest as he observed the pro in his element. Octavio was experienced with stunts and stuff, but he knew that Elliot was made for this sport. Before and even after he blew his legs off, Octavio was a huge fan of the games. And who was he a fanboy for? Well none other than Elliot himself.
“Yeah I did my hair for this, nothing wrong with wanting to look good in the ring.” Octavio cracked a smile under his mask. He was caught staring again. “There’s nothing wrong with it Compadre, but next time save it for the ladies.” He placed a hand on his hip as he gave the other a thumbs up. “Then you’ll be golden, just like your years.”
Elliot smiled brightly at the younger, having not heard him quite clearly with the wind, “Padre? What are you trying to say? That sounds really cool! I like it!” The buzzer in the ship buzzed, letting the competitors know that they had 30 seconds until they could begin descending onto the playing field. “If you two are finished, I suggest we land at the Bunker. It offers a high probability for success.” Alex said soul-crushingly over the headsets they wore. Octavio had no quandary’s with Alex being their third, but the dude was kinda edgy. Not to mention the real reason he wanted to go where the foot traffic was.
“Yeah sounds good, you do that. But let me know about anything good. You know what I like!” Elliot smiled brightly as the timer began to beep down.
“I mean if you can keep up, you might be able to take my scraps old man,” With a cock of his head held up his radical sign, waiting for the official call of the horns and Alexander’s call to jump.
“I suppose that makes sense. But you’d do best following Alex, Mr. Rookie. I’m going to find- right there.” Elliot pointed towards the airship as the clock began to tick down. “Just depends on what everyone else gets is all I’m saying. So keep me posted.”
5...
“If you fall, just know that I will not be the one to revive you.”
4...
“Come on Alex, you know I’ll be fine!”
3...
“As you wish, but your death is inevitable.”
2...
Octavio watched Elliot with great interest as he began to ready himself to jump. He totally was amazing!
“Hehe No problem Alex, I’ve got Octavio to get me.” With a wink, Elliot turned away, ready to jump.
1...
The buzzer finally rang, signaling the squads they were allowed to jump to the lands below. Most squads jumped, hoping to get ahold of the legendary loot from the airship. But most, usually the newbies, strayed away once they realized how many people would go there. But not Elliot, as Octavio watched. He had managed to be one of the first ones there and was even more of a badass by kicking off someone who landed near him. Wow. So radical!
Once Alex and him were near The Bunker, they both hopped off. “This is my favorite part! YEAH!!!” Octavio followed Alex to The Bunker, having previous success there with other squads and having failures against Alex himself. There were a couple of other squads who decided to land there. Octavio noticing some people running away once they saw Alex. Whatever, it was his time to shine!
“Whole Squad down, looks like the dropship will land near there. I’ll catch up!”
Octavio had just only just picked up an R-99, Before taking aim at some enemies, urging them back where Alex was setting up his toxic traps.
“What? Best be careful Abuelo, don’t want to pull a muscle!” Octavio laughed as he ducked into one of the rooms as the traps went off, spewing the toxins. He listened as the other squads screamed in agony while he continued to loot the room.
“Come outside I don’t wanna be a part of Alex’s experiment.” Octavio chuckled to himself as he finished looting the room and went outside. There he saw Elliot standing in his glory, all legendary armor, and even a backpack.
“Wow guess luck thought you would need the most help, haha” In reality, Octavio thought it all looked great on Elliot. Gold really was his color. Snapping him from his side though, Octavio stopped as he felt his basic backpack was taken off of his body. “Hey-!”
“It’s all good, besides, it would be best used for you. It helps with faster healing so it should totally help with your passive shouldn’t it?” Elliot stripped off his backpack and took out his items and gave it to Octavio, who was in awe at Elliot. This had been his first time playing this bloodsport with Elliot on his team, since he wanted to hone in on his skills, and he never knew he was such a team player.
“Hey, Gramps! I gotcha a little something! Come on out so I can give it to ya!” Elliot put his stuff into the basic backpack and put it on as he looked to the door, where Alex was standing at the doors, looking rather proud of himself. “Here give me yours.” Elliot took off his legendary helmet and tossed it to Alex, who took off his and walked over to hand it to Elliot.
“Thank you, it is greatly appreciated.”
“It really isn’t a problem, just don’t use your ‘nade on Octavio or me, we have pretty faces.”
“Do not tempt me,” Alex groaned as he placed the helmet on, “I suggest we head to higher grounds, best to have the height advantage.”
As the game carried on, squad after squad was eliminated. They had somehow managed a pretty good peaking point, with Alex having some of the best sniper scopes with Elliot and Octavio bearing close to mid-range weapons for protection should anyone try to sneak up on them. Elliot had long accepted Alex’s tendency to camp a higher area, watching other squads behavior as they killed each other, bad thing about it was that Alex often left his six open even with his traps set. So Elliot often stayed close to Alex, ya know, for protection. However, Octavio never cared for staying still. He certainly had the skills and aim to be a great sniper, but he could not stand still. He needed to vent out his energy. He was bouncing on the spot as the area had been picked clean, there was nothing to do.
“You know, you don’t have to stay here right? You can go and bring other squads here if you want.”
Octavio stopped his bouncing, “You think? I know I am the greatest, but it would be a drag to have you come to save me if, and only IF, I needed help.”
“Oh come on, I wouldn’t mind at all saving you at all! I know I might not be as fast as you, and I do prefer to take things nice ‘n slow. But I would get to you eventually!”
“I am heading out then, see ya on the other side!”
With that, Octavio ran off. He relished in the adrenaline. He was alone, running towards a battle that was occurring not too far from where Elliot and Alex were. It was at the Bridges that he watched about four squads in a fight. But he noticed in one of the paths that looked down over the bridges, there was a team watching and waiting to ambush the remaining team. Upon further inspection, it was Anita, Bloodhound, and Ajay. Octavio smiled with glee, no doubt they would send at least Bloodhound to chase him down. They were always fun to run around.
Octavio took aim from below at Bloodhound and fired directly at their body armor, he would leave the killing to Alex. Of course Anita and Ajay stayed put knowing full well the Veteran Hunter could stomp the Adrenaline Junkie. Bloodhound took aim at Octavio, but he stabbed himself with his stem to run away. Bloodhound still hit his shoulder as he ran out of sight. But Bloodhound was already on the move, fully able to track down the other. As they followed him, they recognized his solo footsteps, easy kill they figured since Octavio often ran off by himself leaving his teammates for dead or otherwise.
As Octavio lead Bloodhound to the buildings just outside the Bunker, since Alex and Elliot were on top of the hill in the buildings. Octavio could hear Bloodhound running after him, he could hear their footsteps as well as their heavy breathing. They were close, so instead of taking another shot to the back, Octavio used his stim to rush into one of the buildings. “Hey Alex, I’ve brought Bloodhound for you. A thank you is expected.”
“Bloodhound? What did you do to piss them off?”
“It doesn’t matter, I’ve placed my traps in the buildings down there. Feel free to lead Bloodhound through them.”
“Aye Aye Compadre!” Just then, Octavio heard the door open with a whish, then pop and another whish of Alex’s toxic gas.
Octavio simply chuckled as he made sure to steer clear of the gas as he lead Bloodhound around. Several different times, while coughing, they had scanned the building only seeing Octavios silhouette inside. But it didn’t take them long to stay clear of the homes opting to cough out the toxic gas. Octavio stood by the windowing waving at the other.
“How long are you going to make Bloodhound suffer amigo? This is painful to watch.”
Alex didn’t respond verbally, only with a single shot to Bloodhounds head, knocking them down to the ground. Bloodhound stayed down coughing into their hand and pulling up their shield. “I’ve been downed.” They spoke into their communicator. Octavio knew that Anita and Ajay would come by soon, still hearing the gunfire from the Bridges. “You didn’t even look like you were having fun amigo, but I’m bored now. Maybe next time.” He could feel Bloodhound cold glare as he grabbed his grenade and pulled the pin. As he dropped the grenade he covered his ears and laughed in excitement as he was blown onto his back. “Yeah!”
“Anita and Ajay are coming, I'm heading down to a-asscis… to help out.”
Octavio looked towards the hill where he saw Ajay already aiming at him. Instead of running, he held up a peace sign as she took a shot. He stabbed himself with stim and ran into towards the two women. “No no Amigo I think I am fine, it’s just Anita and Ajay.” Just to be flashy, and because he had it ready, Octavio threw down his jump pad. He jumped onto the roof of one of the buildings and took aim at Anita, making sure to keep moving to knock off Ajay’s aim.
Octavio was skilled at aiming for vital areas in the body, but it was difficult to keep that aim when the target was moving. It was worse when Anita shot a smoke cloud his way. He groaned as he jumped from the roof and made sure to keep an eye out for Anita or Ajay. He heard footsteps approaching him from behind, he held up his weapon ready to fire. When he turned around, he realized it was Elliots Decoy running through the smoke since it glowed blue. As he began stalking the direction it was running from, it shattered before his eyes revealing one of the girls. He aimed and rushed forward to find Ajay aiming at him, point blank with a Peacekeeper with Precision. ‘Nice Ajay’, without a second thought, he pulled his trigger, seeing her armor break crack and crumble on her body. The same happened with his armor, but it only took one shot compared to his full magazine. Octavio quickly switched his gun out from the G-7 Scout to an R-99 then stabbed himself with his stim to avoid her next shot. He felt some of the shot dig into his side. He let out a groan and aimed at Ajay again, firing with his automatic. He could tell she was close to falling, just like Bloodhound, but she proved just how amazing she was. He felt himself falling to the ground, still surrounded by smoke. ’Shit’
Ajay reloaded her Peacekeeper, knowing full well Elliot was still around. Just as the smoke was clearing, Octavio looked around to see Anita down not too far from him. She was trying to shout out to Ajay, but an arc star quickly made her silent. Ajay looked to the building and began firing her weapon, assumably at Elliot. Octavio smiled as he turned over onto his back watching as Elliot used his Devotion to finish Ajay off. Still sprawled on his back, Octavio laughed as Elliot walked over. “My knight in shining amor~”
“Hehe don’t worry princess, I’ve gotcha.” Pulling a syringe full of an unknown liquid from one of his bags, Elliot laid a hand against Octavio's chest. He held Octavio still as he stabbed the needle into his chest. Of course, Octavio jumped at the sudden pain since this needle was far longer and thicker than the one he used for stim, but it was necessary. As Elliot helped Octavio up, another shot could be heard along with a scream. The two looked over to see a death box.
“You are the Apex Champions.”
“I must confess, you two are extremely mundane to observe.” Octavio cheered as he gave Alex a thumbs up. Elliot cheered alongside Octavio as a ship dropped over the two, a zip-line shot down several feet from the two.
“After you Compadre.”
“Oh! You had said Compadre! oh, hehe, I liked Padre way better.” Elliot winked at Octavio before he grappled onto the zip-line allowing it to zip him forward. Octavio felt his face grow hot as he huffed on the ground. ‘What a pervert you are Elliot.” After his moment of utter embarrassment, he smirked grabbing his bit to follow Elliots lead.
As the three rode the ship back to their headquarters, Alex was sitting near the back, writing in his little notebook he always kept with him. Elliot was staring at Octavio as he stood close by tapping his foot and pacing, ready to be home and doing something else. Anything really. He turned his head, catching Elliot staring at him. 3
“What is it, Amigo?”
“Nothing much. Just admiring the view.” Elliot began kicking his legs like a kid sitting on a chair., he raised an eyebrow, “That ok?”
Octavio stopped in his tracks, “Oh? Is that right Amigo?” He began walking towards Elliot with a small skip in his step, like a school girl, he leaned forward, “Can’t say I am too pleased with that. Why look when you can act, such a shame Amigo. I pegged you for something more in-“
With one quick swoop Elliot, held an arm under Octavios arms as he knocked Octavios legs with his arm. Clearly afraid, Octavio grabbed onto Elliot, wrapping his arms around Elliot's shoulders. “I may not have my way with words, but it seems that I have s-swoop? Swept?. I've swept you off of your feet.”
Octavio made no move to remove his arms, and in fact, he made himself more comfortable. “Ohh I like a man who takes the first step, Chico.“
“Oh no no, I think I really do prefer Padre, and FYI, I do know what it means,” A flew of coughs interrupted Elliot, the two looked to the back of the aircraft where Alex was writing in his notebook. He simply looked up and glared at the two for a moment.
“Sorry were we distracting you Muerto? I don’t think we can turn it down, glare at us as you will haha,” Octavio kicked his legs as the three of them felt the ship slow to a halt.
“Congratulations Champions.”
The back door opened and Alex stood up first and took quick steps to jump from the ship. He didn’t say a word as he stepped off, no doubt landing with composed grace. Elliot chuckled as he stood with Octavio in his arms, but soon after he lowered Octavio to his feet.
“Don’t want to carry me, Amigo? I am very sore in the legs.” Octavio chuckled as he turned and began making his way to the edge of the ship. But a hand round his wrist caught him and turned him around.
“I mean, that was too easy Tavi. That isn’t the live life in the fast lane Tavi I know. Give me more of a challenge,” Elliot leaned down slightly to look Octavio in the eyes, “Can ya do that?”
Octavio smirked as he reached up and took off his goggles and respirator. Letting his green tufts of hair fall over his face, he placed his other hand onto Elliot's chest. “Come on Compadre,” he pushed Elliot back a bit, “The fans are waiting.” He didn’t give Elliot a chance to respond as he stepped off of the edge of the ship, falling to the ground where his adoring fans waited, cheering. They cheered louder when he landed, all offering their words of encouragement and praise. After all, that was an amazing round. He, of course, thanked all the fans he could, shaking their hands and signing their posters. He even played dumb when asked about his mask. “Just thought I could see your pretty faces, face to face Mi Amores, hehe and I like what I see!” He held up his usual radical sign and hurried forward to the end of the crowds that lead to Apex Central. Behind him, he heard the screams of excitement from Elliot landing and activating his holograms. They covered more ground and even kept fans from getting jealous they couldn’t meet the real Elliot. Since no one could really tell the difference. Octavio heard two pairs of footsteps approaching from behind him, he turned around only to see the real Elliot and a decoy approaching to stand on either side of Octavio. “What-“
Each of the Elliot’s taking one of Octavio’s arms, pulling him to their torsos and each giving a small pack on Octavio’s cheek. “Give me a good chase Tavi,” Elliot whispered into Octavio’s ear, “on you go now,” Octavio smirked and shook his hand, shooing away Elliot’s decoy. “Catch me if you can Padre.” With that, he pulled away from Elliot and began to run toward the center. He wasn’t sure where he would lead Elliot, but surely he wouldn’t regret it.

So since Digimon Linkz died I needed something to replace it so I downloaded Dragon Village M and its pretty great!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My little companion dragon hits on me for some reason. Hes pretty useless now but he was my first big pull. I was delighted to see a bara dragon.
Tumblr media
Also got this little demon girl pretty early and shes been a godsend. I recently got the Earth version as well. Love these little bitches.
Tumblr media
Theres also MLP knock off dragons. Im uncomfortable with them but shes a light type and a healer and shes good with a good defense/HP and since the Ponies are common I can level her skills easily....so I fully evolved her. But im really weirded out by her garters and the fact one of her moves is called ‘making love‘ some straight up Brony bullshit.
Tumblr media
I really want this Bob Ross dragon and I love the fact hes got the Earth version in his drawings. I ship it.
Tumblr media
THIS is my dream dragon tho. It turns into an ethereal BEAST but I love its baby form..... I would change it back if I ever evolved it.
Tumblr media
This battle I had no business staying alive until the buzzer but my little Cyborg boy just DOESNT DIE. Ya boy just keeps on truckin. Hes great and one of my favorite pulls alsong with my Orca-jet plane dragon that I really shoulda capped to show off. Hes great.

Episode 7: No Bigger Fish
WELL IT HAS BEEN A WHILE but we’re getting the group back together tomorrow and so I want to try to catch up on some of the old episodes I never posted! They may be a bit shorter because it’s been so long and I’ve forgotten stuff so I have to rely on my notes, but I hope to hit the highlights. This session in particular was one of my favorites. Basically, our characters make a Walmart run, but instead of Walmart it’s the planet of Naboo.
The DM introduces us to the spectacle of Theed City, capitol of Naboo. It’s temperate in climate, standing majestically on a forested mesa.
We’re contacted by Theed air traffic control.
Me: As usual, Taveau is gonna look to Grif to do the talking.
H: As usual, Rralwarr can’t talk.
ATC: confirm number of passengers and planned duration of stay.
Grif: Uh hey there, we have 3, planning on staying overnight.
ATC: Copy, Blindsider... be prepared to show IDs to customs.
Grif, quietly: oh
(The players all sit back and give each other the :/ face for a minute)
Rralwarr: Well, we don’t need to stop here...
Me out-of-character: can we do a galactic lore roll to see how bad it would be if we landed without IDs? I mean Taveau’s not gonna know what to search for necessarily, he’s not familiar with landing LEGALLY... But maybe someone else who knows more about this?
Grif: hmmm well sounds problematic.
Grif to ATC: OK we don’t have time to stop here bye.
ATC: Copy, please exit Naboo airspace within 5 minutes.
There’s a pause, then:
DM: OK, WELL, I’LL JUST PULL THIS ENTIRE PAGE OF METICULOUS NOTES OUT OF THE BOOK AND EAT IT, NOW.
Everyone: uh
Everyone: do we uh
Everyone: was... were we supposed to land on Naboo....
Everyone: do we not have a session plan now??
DM: MMMMMYEP.
M: oops.... oh, well, we already did that so I guess--
Me, out of character: AAHGHSDFJK. OK HOLD ON ONE SEC--
Taveau: H, hold on, are we... where are we going if we’re not stopping here?
Grif: To meet up with Mij?
Taveau: But we were supposed to meet up with him in a couple of days. We’re going to be there way too early if we stop here.
Rralwarr: We could always just wait there. Maybe scope out the area.
Taveau: Have you looked at the coordinates he gave us? That’s in the middle of Separatist airspace and I don’t want to be just sitting out there for two days!
Grif: Well...
Taveau takes out his datapad, does a thirty-second Space Wikipedia search, and shoves it in Grif’s face--showing that we can easily get tourist visas on the planet.
Grif: OK, you really want to go to this planet don’t you?
(Me out of character: YE)
Grif: Listen, OK, let’s make a deal... We’ll make this stop and I’ll subtract 10% of your pay.
Taveau:
Taveau: What
Taveau: What is my pay?
Grif: ...OK yeah let’s go ahead and establish that.
Taveau: Uh-huh, so what do you think is a good--
Grif: *FAST TALK MODE ENGAGED*  Well listen I feel like we’ve got to find a price that’s reasonable for our means without devaluing the great help you’ve given us. You helped us in battle as well as with flying this ship. You’ve changed the direction of my entire life, and I hope you’ll be there for a lot of it, because you’re a pretty cool guy. However, as far as payment goes, well, I mean you weren’t flying for the whole time you’ve been with us, and a lot of that time the ship was on autopilot anyway--
Taveau, breaking out of his overwhelmed haze: OK but you say this like programming autopilot is EASY. Could you do it?
Grif: ...Probably? I mean I’m guessing there’s a button you press.
Rralwarr: You’re the type who’d push the self-destruct button instead.
Grif, uncomfortable: Thehrhyhe haaa theyyy don’t HAVE self destruct buttons??? do they???
Taveau: *chuckles* .... nah.
Grif: Ah, good, great. So how much do you want?
Taveau, who has no idea what a reasonable price actually is, just kind of bluescreens for a few seconds and then goes “.....10,000?”
Grif: OK, sure. I’ll get that to you as soon as possible. ...You really wanna go to Naboo?
Taveau: Do you have a better idea??
Grif: ... ...well... no... but...? ...OK but let’s go to the other side of the planet, I don’t wanna talk to that guy again, he seemed grumpy.
(DM: Ooh...
H: I know what his punishment for us is gonna be.
DM: The Gungans have also been making a killing off of tourism, and have built a spaceport outside of Theed to allow access to the underwater city. Yes, THIS IS WHAT YOU GET for making me eat my notes.)
Grif, researching the area, notices the Gungan city, and goes:  Ooh, an underwater city! Now, that I could get behind.
Taveau: OK? Glad to see you excited about something.
Grif, reading from his datapad: ooh they took out an entire orbital dropship, they must be great warriors!
Taveau: Huh. Interesting.
DM: So you fly in to Gungan Space and you get a uhh.. a new buzzer on the  commlink... it appears to be Gungan traffic control.
ATC: HEDOOOH! YoU-sA wAnT lAnD iN GunGAn cItY??
HEDOOOH! You-sa want land in Gungan City?
(Players: oh...
DM: THIS IS YOUR PUNISHMENT.)
ATC: wE-SAAAA be hApPy to WelCOmE YoU! YoUUu-sa, be lAnDiN iNNnn, ah... DoCkInG bAy 36!
Grif: All right, sounds great!
ATC: ThAnK yOuS!
Grif: he sounds friendly.
Taveau: yeah, they sound pretty chill.
Grif: they must have a very interesting and deep rich culture if their speech is so hard for us to understand... I think it’ll be a very interesting experience.
DM: You land, and are greeted by Gungan Customs, which seems to work on a different organizational scheme than Nubian customs.
Gungan Customs Officer: Hello-sa!
Grif: Hi! :D
GCO: Welcome to Naboo, we-sa very happy to have you here! But-ah, there is una small matter! The landing fee is 500 Republic credits!
Grif: OK, uh, shoot! Well, I can cover that one. (M: I’ll swipe my cardy-boii)
We get our visas and ride down towards the underwater city in a small sub shuttle. Rralwarr is not happy about being crammed into a small space, or about being underwater in general, but it’s otherwise a very nice ship. The pilots points out interesting features of the area as we glide downwards.
Taveau: Huh... I’m starting to enjoy myself.
Grif, staring at the pilot’s eye-stalks: .....huh.
The water grows darker, but ahead is a dim glow of light which slowly becomes many different points of light, coming from a system of oddly bulbous pods linked together: the underwater city of Otoh-Gunga.
Grif: Wow! This is impresive!
Pilot: It is very nice, yes? We-sa like it here.
Grif: So, like, how do you get in without, like, letting water in?
Pilot: Ooh, we-sa have membranes! It keep the water out, but the ships go through!
Grif: Amazing! But isn’t that a security risk? Can any ships go through, or only yours?
Pilot: Oh, we-sa don’t worry about that. We-sa very peaceful, no have soldiers here since the invasion.
Grif: Oh, good, I always like a peaceful planet. I come from one myself, it’s called Alderaan.
Pilot: Does it have oceans?
Grif: Oh, yeah, lots of oceans! But I don’t think there are any underwater cities. \
Pilot: Sound lovely. Maybe we visit sometime.
We arrive in the city, and Rralwarr immediately runs to the most open space in the area and takes a slightly panicky breath of air.
Taveau: Doing OK Rralwarr?
Rralwarr: *tiny Wookie noise* underwater....
Grif: OK, let’s figure out how we’re gonna do this! Rralwarr, I know you want medpacs. Taveau, what about you?
Taveau: Booze.
Grif: ..That’s all? You made us come down here for booze? Alright, fine, I’ll get you some booze.
Taveau: You’re paying? I wasn’t aware that was part of the arrangement.
Grif: Oh, sure, yeah. I’ll get you whatever you need on this trip, it comes out of your pay, is all.
Taveau: I can buy my own groceries. But I will let you buy me a bottle of rum.
The party splits: Rralwarr goes off to buy medpacs, and Grif and Taveau head to a liquor store. DM asks what I’m looking for. I say just a cheap rum.
DM: Just... complete rotgut?  You’re looking for the Star Wars equivalent of Everclear.
Me, ooc: not QUITE that bad.
DM: So, space Jim Beam.
Me: Yeah.
DM: OK, you find that.
The DM introduces the cashier lady, the store, and an impressive array of space booze to choose from: a number of Mon Cal grades, one which is 1000 credits (Taveau: oof. that’s unnecessary), samples of imports from other planets--the cashier notes that a few are becoming hard to get, thanks to the Separatists taking over the planets of origin.
DM: There’s also a novelty bottle of bright green alcohol that comes in a bottle shaped like Yoda’s head. You’re pretty sure this was not authorized by the Jedi. 75 credits. The label reads “Feel good you will, hmmmm.”
Grif: !!!
Taveau: I’m not sure I trust this, but OK?? We can share it, it’ll be interesting.
We get the novelty Yoda booze and 1 bottle of 95-credit (fairly cheap but almost respectable) Mon Calamari black rum for Taveau’s personal use.
As they leave, Taveau takes the rum out of his bag, takes a swig straight out the bottle, and then puts it back in his bag.
DM: That’s very white trash of him.
Me, OOC: You assume Taveau is white? He’s just... space trash.
(DM argues that I showed him some pictures I found on pinterest as references and they looked like white trash. And OK they fit the general aesthetic and appearance which is why I sent them, but they don’t supersede the character description that’s on my sheet.)
DM: So you continue walking along, noticing the tourists and the Gungans looking out across the city. It’s so pretty, you think you have to take another drink of rum to appreciate it, so you do. (Minor irritation from me having my character played for me, but it is, in fact, extremely in character, so I roll with it) Grif, you crack open that Yoda head. It is very sweet and very fruity, with a bit of citrus. It’s basically 170-proof Mountain Dew. Some of your nervousness about being underwater slips away. You decide to give Rralwarr some when you get back.
Taveau: How’s that?
Grif: Weird! It’s sweet, try it?
Taveau: ...ooh. I like that more than I thought I would.
DM: Taveau, you find yourself feeling like you’re almost ready to talk to people. It’s weird, and you’re not quite sure how you feel about it.
Next, we head to Otoh Gunga Metalworks. Naboo, being so peaceful, does not permit the (legal) sale of weapons for anything other than decoration, but Taveau wants to add to his knife collection. He’s planning to collect a knife from every planet he visits.
We enter, and the Gungan asks what we’re looking for. Taveau, being Taveau, just goes “Knives.” The Gungan chuckles.
Cashier Gungan: Who-sa you want to stab?
Taveau: Depends on the day.
CG: Me-sa kidding! We-sa no sell sharp blades, but we-sa do have good collection pieces.
Grif: Well, that would be perfect *elbow jab* sINCE YOU’RE A COLLECTOR, Taveau!
Taveau: Yep.
There are, actually, a wide variety of knives, mostly elaborately wrought decoration pieces, but down in the “historical section” are knives and hunting tools, replicas of the distant past. They have dull edges and are made of the same dark metal of the city-bubbles’ frames. There are spears, slings, and some small, almost stiletto-like knives.
Grif: Wow, it’s so tiny!
The Gungan chuckles: You-sa must be delicate, thesa not be for gooberfish. ...We-sa have spears for those.
Taveau picks up one of the small knives and examines it. It’s a bit heavier than he would expect for the size and is made of one piece of metal, with the hilt wrapped in a tough green leather of unidentifiable source. It’s a stiff, non-flexible blade, very slender, the balance point towards the hilt.
Taveau buys two of the plainer ones.
Next, I want to find a vox box, a device which (I had learned from the manual) is readily available across the galaxy and speaks a range of phrases in Basic, and, with a good computer skill, can also be customized.
All we can find, the DM tells us, is a novelty vox box that speaks in a Gungan accent.
(Me: Is this really the only one?? I was gonna give it to Rralwarr as a gift, I thought it was a good idea...
DM: That’s the only one.
Me: I’m a little angry.
DM: SO AM I)
Grif thinks the box is hilarious and encourages Taveau, who was wavering, to buy it anyway. Taveau figures they can always try customizing it to be less annoying later. And then--
Grif: Bookstore! Do you like books? I like books.
Taveau: Uh. Sure
Grif looks through the selections on galactic cultures, trying to find something on Mandalore. There are very few mentions of it, aside from a sort of cheesy fiction book title “Tales of the Mandalorian Raiders,” a story about the Old Republic. The cover shows a black-and-red-helmeted mando in old-fashioned armor--it’s more square, and the T-visor is contoured differently--stabbing his sword through a Jedi’s heart, with the wreckage of a city overrun by armies of battling Jedi and Mandalorians in the background.
Grif seriously considers buying this book. Taveau picks it up and flips through it. It claims to be written in Mando’a blank verse, a claim which doesn’t make a hell of a lot of sense, but whatever. There are a few words of Mando’a flung in for flavor. They’re hilariously misspelled. It tells the story of an ancient Mandalore who once allied with the Sith. He’s portrayed in a fairly unflattering light, and the book focused on his creative ways of slaughtering people.
Taveau cackles at this a bit.
Grif: ....Had enough to drink?
Taveau: Yeah yeah. *shakes the book* is this what you do in your free time?
Grif: It is now.
Taveau: Why??
Grif: Well--okay, here’s the thing, I just... My life has been changing a lot lately, and I’m not really sure where I stand, you know? And I want to believe that Mij and his people are the good guys, you know, and I really think it’s so cool what they stand for, the--the freedom, and honor, and stuff, and fighting Death Watch, but I just... I’m new to this, and I don’t know them very well, and if I’m going to become a part of this I want to be sure I’m doing the right thing. So, I guess I just want to understand more about the culture because I hope it’ll help me understand Mij.
Taveau: ..*chokes* hgnsf. Huh, OK. Well, I don’t think a book about the far past is going to tell you anything about Mij, but I think I get what you’re saying... *suppressed chuckle* Huh, well, how about this. Would you like me to cook for you? You said you wanted to learn about Mandalorian culture, hm? *Cackling* I mean--you’ve got me, I’m right here. You, uh, don’t need. *dismissive shake of the book* ...This.
Grif is enthusiastic about this, despite the fact that Taveau is still cackling devilishly. They go grocery shopping. There’s a lot of fish, some seaweed-type wraps, and “a rather interesting sauce”: the sando-aquamonster hot sauce, with a label reading “there is no bigger fish.”
Taveau grumbles about the lack of spices, but buys the ingredients to make a fish wrap of some sort, along with that very interesting hot sauce. Grif follows everything eagerly. He does not protest the purchase of the hottest sauce in the store. We go back to the ship and reunite with Rralwarr. There’s a smallish cooking area in the ship, basically just a counter and a space microwave. Taveau tastes the sauce while he’s making the wraps.
Me, OOC: So how spicy is it?
DM: To YOU? Not very spicy, but you think it’s pretty good for an aruetiise approximation.
Let me pause here to share with you, my dear readers, some fun trivia I learned in my study of Mando’a. Mandalorian culture is full of very spicy foods. They have a special word (hetikles) for the “noseburn” you get from really really spicy foods, the ones that basically just set your entire sinus system on fire--it’s a prized sensation. Taveau was, of course, raised to have a healthy appreciation of hellishly fiery foods. Grif was not, and Taveau kinda suspects this.
Now, Taveau (fortunately for Grif) does not have access to real Mandalorian spices, but this sauce comes close enough to earn his respect.
He makes some fish wraps and sticks them in the space microwave for a minute so they’re warm, then drenches them in hot sauce. Grif is excited.
Taveau: Chill, this isn’t anything like authentic, I used what I could find.. it’s just some space-microwaved fish wrap with hot sauce on it... the sauce is pretty good, though.
Grif: Oh, awesome, cool, great! Is there, like, a traditional way to eat this or
Taveau: Just. eat it
Grif: OK!
M: Grif takes a big forkful and stuffs it in his mouth.
DM: CON SAVE!
M: (6)
DM: You would let loose with every foul word that you know, except that your mouth hurts too much and you can only get out an incomprehensible sound of pain.
Grif: WREEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Taveau, at this point, is on the floor, just choking with laughter.
DM: Grif, you scramble for the closest liquid--which is the bottle of Yoda liquor. It cuts the burn a bit but you do not feel well and you run off to the refresher to rethink your life. Taveau meanwhile is just losing it with laughter and calls after Grif “Kandosii!”
Rralwarr: What did you give him?!
Taveau: Just hot sauce. Try it!
DM: CON SAVE! (high pass) Yeah, you’re fine. It’s good sauce. You think Grif is just kind of a wimp.
Grif still hasn’t come back. Taveau feels a tiny bit bad but also he’s still laughing. Rralwarr pretends to feel bad. He is also laughing. We eat two of the hot-sauced wraps and Taveau puts one plain, not at all hot one aside for Grif, when he feels better enough to eat. Taveau also gives Rralwarr the vox box which speaks in a Gungan accent.
Rralwarr: ...This was Grif’s idea wasn’t it.
Meanwhile, Grif is lying spread-eagled on the tiles in the refresher, trying to absorb all the coldness from the floor. He feels like he’s on fire and his stomach probably won’t settle down for a while.
Taveau spends the next couple of hours sharpening the two knives he bought. He tapes one to the underside of his pilot seat so that it’s hidden but easy to whip out if needed. He’s completely finished sharpening both by the time Grif stumbles out of the refresher.
Taveau: Hey, Grif! I left one of those wraps plain for you. It’s in the kitchen.
Grif: hhhghhthanks uhhh I’m not really hungry right now but thanks tho
Taveau: Are you okay?
Grif: *sniff* hhghhhhyes ‘m fine just uhhhhghh. gonna uhh. go to bed now I think. g’night Taveau.
Taveau: I, uh. Didn’t realize it would be quite that rough on you.
Grif: huhhh nno it’sss fineeee m just a lil tired that’s all just. yea. ‘m totally fine don’t worry about it. g’night
Taveau: Oh, hey, before you go. This is for you. I sharpened it.
He gives Grif the other knife he’d bought on the planet, the slightly nicer one, now razor sharp, and tries to show Grif some grips he can use to fight with it.
Grif: uhhh that’s nice but uhh maybe show me this when I’m more awake maybe. tthank you.
He stumbles off, and Taveau settles down in his pilot seat with his knife collection. For now, it’s quiet in the ship.

Bloodbath
Fictober18 Day 4 “Will that be all?”
Original characters
Rated: T- some violence, some language, mentions/references same sex relationship, war, bigotry, vengeance
Her skin felt too tight, her muscles twitching and jumping with useless rage. She should be sleeping, resting in preparation for the battle that lay ahead. All reports indicated that tomorrow would be the day. Officially, this was still a rescue mission. She clung to the hope that this was a rescue mission as she stared at the view screen that functioned as ‘windows’ on a star craft. Turns out, humans don’t react well to not being able to see what is on the other side of a wall for months at a time. So, she stared at the view screen that broadcast a visual representation of the sensor feeds from this side of the ship and PRETENDED it was a window. Just like she pretended that tomorrow she’d be facing the enemy and bringing her wife home.
Eventually, she gave up on sleep and hauled on her gear. If she was awake, so was her brother. Not because of any stupid mystical shit- people really loved  to manufacture weird magical connections between twins- but because their brains worked the same way. Neither of them could sleep the night before a big event. Jail breaking a high security prisoner of war camp counted as a ‘big event’ by anyone’s definition.
The captain didn’t seem surprised to see her in his doorway. “Couldn’t sleep?” he asked. He was a good guy, the human that was in charge of this ship. If he’d had any complaints about adding two half-human mercs to his team at the last minute, he’d never let that show in how he treated either of them, and she knew he’d cracked down on a few crew members who’d been more vocal about their displeasure.
“Too amped up,” she answered, “I need to run through the security specs again and I don’t have the clearance to pull it up on my own.
“Oh, yeah sure,” he grabbed a tablet and accessed the files, handing it over to her. She took a few minutes to skim the blue prints of the facility and then took a more thorough look at the breakdown of the security systems, protocols, staffing, and armaments.
“We’re still confident in the intel?” she asked. She was always leery of intel, all too often it was incomplete, or out of date.
“We are,” he answered easily.
“Good. Just- tell your men to be careful of decoy checkpoints. We’ve encountered a few facilities that use them in addition to proximity alarms. The staff know which ones to use and which to avoid. Always scan a checkpoint for explosives before interfacing with it.” She held out the tablet.
“We’ve gone over that, but I will make a point to include it in the last briefing.” He took it from her hand, “will that be all?”
“Can you give me after hours clearance to the training facilities?” she stood, “if I’m going to be awake anyway, I want to be doing something productive.”
“Consider it done, I’m adding you to the scan access log now.” She nodded and he gave her a wan smile, “we have a good track record with these missions. If anyone can get her out of there, it will be us.”
“Appreciate that, Captain,” she replied, leaving him to his work.
She slammed her hand into the buzzer at her brother’s door, and within seconds, it slid open. He was already dressed, his kit bag slung over his shoulder. “We sparring or fighting?’ he asked easily as he stepped into the hall.
“We’re both healers, and pulling hits is a dangerous habit to get into,” she answered.
He grinned, “that’s what I was hoping for.”
The twins didn’t really resemble each other all that much, which wasn’t uncommon in siblings with parents of different species. They had different coloring- her skin was a soft pink that almost looked human, his a dusty purple. Her hair black, cut into a mohawk and braided down tight to her head, his a soft blond that was shorn close to his scalp. They both had slightly pointed ears, but hers stretched up, close to her skull and his jutted outward making him look aggressive. She was solidly built, but thin, compact; he was just... massive- tall, broad, heavily muscled. So, they weren’t really people you would glance at and think ‘twins’, even though they were. But that smile? The predatory, self-assured, dangerous smirk he flashed her? It was EXACTLY the same as hers.
The gym was deserted at this hour and they quickly pulled on the gear they’d be wearing on the mission, wanting to be completely comfortable with the way it fit, moved and weighed their limbs down.
“Ready?” He asked as she bounced lightly on the balls of her feet. She nodded and they started circling each other. She felt her magic stir, rippling under her skin, and saw the changes that indicated her brother was experiencing the same thing. Her vision changed, colors bleeding out, shadows starker.  A tiny, malicious little giggle bubbled through her in response to the call of her power. She tapped her two batons against her legs and they powered up with a whine.
Her brother gave a soft huff- rising to the challenge and adjusting his grip on his blades. They prowled around the floor in slow rounds, each gauging the other for an opening. They’d been facing off against each other like this for decades. Mixed race children born during a war had no shortage of opportunities to fight, and they were both more aggressive than human kids, so training had started early and had been very thorough.
She let her shoulder drop. Just a fraction of an inch. But she knew he saw it and she knew he’d take it as a a falter in her stance. Moving faster and smoother than a guy his size should be able to he charged at her. He led with the big Antorian sickle knife he favored, but she knew him. That was too obvious. She ducked, rolling away just as a small, barbed throwing blade sank into the floor.
Her momentum carried her into the perfect position to swing her batons into the back of his knees and she smiled as she felt it connect. He’d been expecting it though, using the blow to send him into a spinning heel strike. It connected with her collarbone and she heard the bone snap as a star of pain exploded from the blow. Her magic surged, deadening the pain and starting to knit the bones together.
“Leechsticks?” he asked, referring to one of her favorite baton tricks, “really? You realize I’m going to be fighting by your side in a real conflict in a few hours, right?”
“Looks like you need to be better about dodging,” she countered, He gave her a small nod and ran at her again.
She parried an actual strike from that blade and the razor-sharp curve of it made short work of deflecting her baton into a very awkward angle, leaving her chest open to the foot stomp he directed at her sternum. To avoid it she had to bend back and keep her balance, so she just let the movement carry into a backflip that gave her a bit of distance. Robbed of his target, his leg overextended and left him open and unbalanced.
She slammed the butts of her batons together and they fused and expanded into a solid, slightly flexible staff as she took the few seconds he’d need to recover to burst into a sprint toward the wall, building up enough momentum to run a few steps up the wall and launch herself. The staff hit the floor with a dull thud and she whipped around it, kicking her brother squarely in the back.
She heard the grunt that told her she’d winded him, and saw the blue energy of his magic skitter over his skin, speeding up his recovery.  Before he could turn to face her again, she was striking him across the back with her staff, and for several inches on either side of the impact all that pretty blue energy just blinked out, coursing through the staff to her hands.
“That’s new,” he laughed, rolling away from her and launching several darts in her direction. “Shit!,” she hissed as three of them dug into her torso. “So are those.” Sickly cold radiated out from the darts, even as she knocked them free of her flesh. Drugged. Awesome. Her magic was less than stellar against poisons, toxins, or drugs.
“Fast acting, but very temporary,” he promised, “out of your system in a hour.”
That was good to know- but the harder she worked, the faster her pulse, and the faster whatever it was he’d hit her with would spread. Already she could feel numbness starting in her belly.  She had to switch tactics.
She spun her staff, moving in to strike him three times in quick succession- knee, hip, shoulder. Each contact zapped a bit of his strength, but her brother was a big guy, in prime condition, and it would take a lot more than a few strikes to take him down, even with the leeching attacks. That numbness was already wrapping around to her back and snaking down her legs. She’d lost this fight. They both knew it.
But that didn’t mean she was giving up. She surged forward, using her staff like a pole vault and clearing him. A quick twist of her wrists mid-air converted the staff into two batons once again, purple energy crackling over the dull metal surface. Instead of coming in for a hit, like he expected, she wrapped herself around him, legs coiling around his waist as she slipped both batons around her neck , holding them in place with her elbows as her hands laced around the back of his skull and she squeezed.
His knees hit the floor at almost the exact instant that her arms and legs went completely dead. The batons clattered to the floor and she heard his raspy panting as his body fought desperately to pull as much oxygen into itself as possible.
“You.... good?” he panted, still not quite recovered from the choking.
“Dunno,” she panted back, “can’t... feel... anything... below... my face.”
He scooted over to her and rested his hand on the collarbone he’d snapped. Out of the corner of her eye she could see his blue energy pulse. “You’re good,” he told her. She smiled weakly, worry starting to crowd into her mind now that the build-up of nerves and aggression had been given an outlet.
He saw the change in her face. “We’ll get her,” he pledged, “one way or another, she’s coming home with us... and you and I are going to kill every last fucker that dared to hurt her.”
“Bloodbath?” she asked, knowing that her face wasn’t even remotely human at the moment, her emotions pushing her magic to the point that her fangs were longer, pupils slitted, scelera glowing, and her tongue forked. She knew, because she saw those same changes in her brother’s face.
“Bloodbath,” he answered. “We’ll make’em pay.”
