19: Do you have a favorite Christian song, either traditional or contemporary?

I tend to prefer more traditional hymns. O Come, O Come Emmanuel always sends chills down my spine. Alleluia, Sing to Jesus I heard often in my church growing up so it always puts a smile on my face (it also gets stuck in my head alot lol)

21: What is your favorite liturgical time of year?

I enjoy the anticipatory times: Lent and Advent. I really love creating my own Advent Wreath at home to light every Sunday and the tradition of fasting and increased prayer during Lent always puts my heart and soul at ease.

Setting: 2022

Emmanuel peered up from his laptop, sensing his wife's presence. He raised an eyebrow when he saw her standing before him, her hands tucked behind her back.

"What are you up to," he inquired, coming around the desk to meet her.

"Happy Valentine's Day," she smiled, handing him a box of chocolate in the shape of a heart. He chuckled at the corniness, leaning in until his nose rested on her temple, where he placed a soft kiss.

"You should open it," she encouraged.

Emmanuel sat the box down on his desk, "I suppose it's as good a time as any to indulge."

Brigitte nervously chewed on her bottom lip, fighting back a laugh as she observed him unwrap the box.

He opened the box, looked inside, and immediately shut it. He turned to her with a grin. "Oh, you are so naughty."

She giggled, "Did you really think I got you chocolates? It's our 15th Valentine's Day as a married couple, so I had to splurge."

"And splurge you did, my love," he replied as he opened the box and pulled out the photographs of his wife. They would need to be immediately put in the safe in their bedroom, under lock and key, strictly for his eyes only.

"How did you pull these off?", he asked as he marveled at the images before him of his wife's Valentine's themed lingerie shoot. He couldn't deny that he was concerned that they might be leaked.

"I had a close friend take the photos on my camera," she explained. "I'm the only one - well besides you - that has access to them."

He blew out a sigh of relief.

"I love them all, but this one may be my favorite," he noted, flashing the photograph to her. Brigitte stood on her knees, her finger in her mouth.

She walked over to him and put her hands on his shoulders, "Those are for when you're away."

Her hands slipped down his cotton covered chest, "For tonight, you have the real thing."

Emmanuel turned his chair and brought her down to sit on his lap. He nuzzled her hair before moving it away from her ear. He leant forward and whispered, "And I intend to take full advantage."

3. Favorite Captain Swan scene?

Oh man... So I'm going to go with something that I don't think will be a surprise if you're familiar with the kind of thing I write.

I have never experienced any goodbye in a show as painful as this. I couldn't see through the tears. I had to pause it. It hurt SO badly and I loved it. I have cried equally hard every time I've rewatched this episode, I have sat there and begged for it not to happen, almost made my palms bleed with not wanting him to move on and for them to be apart and I sit there pleading with Zeus to send him back to her even though I know what's going to happen. But if there was any CS moment in the entire series that I wish I could watch for the first time again. It is this.

So maybe that's why all my fics are so brutally feelsy... ooops?

4. What are some non-Captain Swan ships you ship?

Ooooh... um... I don't ship anything in quite the way I ship CS tbh. No other couple has ever consumed me to the point where everything I write in the fandom centres around them. Anything I watch or read I'm wondering if I can turn it into a CS fic. I can't write them ending up with anyone else unless it's poly.

That said, I'm a huge fan of Frozen Jewel if at all possible, and I like putting Liam with Belle too. Snowing, obviously. Jefferson is fun to put with random people... though I'm seriously considering putting him, Graham and August in a trio in a fic at some point.

7. Do you have a favourite holiday tradition?

So I'm a soprano and, for me, Chirstmas isn't Christmas until I've sung some descants. Hark the Herald is my favourite, closely followed O Come all ye faithful. Oh Come Oh come Emmanuel has a really fun descant too!

17. What does Christmas mean to you?

Magic, in whatever way you can find it. In the twinkle of lights on a tree or the light in someone's eyes when they open a present and it's what they were hoping for, to thinking about the religious aspects.

I don't really buy Christmas music, but this is one of the few I've actually gotten - bought it ahead of my trip (along with Wrap This One Up, which Mom made sure we did every year at church - I think last year is the first year they didn't do it, for...obvious reasons).
