Noelia looked at her little sister. "Be nice to Stefan and don't ask too many questions,"

Lizzie studied her sister. "Stefan likes answering my questions,"

"Sometimes you're a little overbearing Lizard, go to sleep, Mom and Dad will be back later,"

"Okay, tell Stefan I say hi!"

"I will," Noelia promised.

"And that he needs to come over more!"

Noelia laughed at the girl's request before picking her up and throwing her over her shoulder as she carried the little girl upstairs.

Only for Stefan's three familiar knocks to interrupt her nightly routine. It was then that Lizzie's eyes lit up. "Stefan," she exclaimed wriggling out of Noelia's arms.

Noelia ran after the little girl hoping to reach her before she opened the door.

But it was too late. Lizzie had already opened the door and Stefan was standing there with the little girl in his arms and her arms tightly around his neck.

"Sorry," Noelia mouthed stifling a laugh as she tried prying the little girl off the vampire.

Stefan looked at the little girl before kneeling down to be at eye level. "Hi Lizard,"

"Hi Stef! Noelia said you're staying over until Mommy and Daddy come home!"

"Yeah, that sounds about right,"

"Noelia says I have to go to sleep, I think she just wants me to go away,"

"Well... It is late, and you don't want Nadia Carson to steal Colin away do you?" Noelia began.

"NO!" the little girl screamed before darting up the stairs.

"Who's Colin?" Stefan asked as he slipped his hand into Noelia's.

"This first grader she has a thing for, they go to the same peewee soccer thing," Noelia explained.

Stefan laughed before pressing a small kiss to Noelia's cheek. "You, Noelia Sinclaire, are manipulative,"

"So? Its gotten me places,"

"I'm not saying its a bad thing,"

She turned to him and laughed as she leads him onto the couch. "Alright, what are we doing?" he asks.

She reached onto the little coffee table and held up an iPod. "Simple, we're going to sit here and listen to music,"

Stefan smiled. It was the simple things. He took the earbud she held out to him and slipped it into his ear as Noelia curled up into his side.

Alex Turner's voice filled his ears with Noelia tapping the beat onto his arm, her lips mouthing the words.

He pressed a kiss to her forehead as she held her hand up to him as if asking him to tangle it through hers.

Noelia sighed before removing her earbuds. "Okay, I'm bored,"

Stefan laughed. "Your sister has a longer attention span,"

"Yeah, speaking of Lizard, let's go bother her,"

"You are awful Noelia Sinclaire,"

"Sure am,"

Stefan pressed a kiss to her lips before gently pushing her off the couch only to have her pull him down with her.

Noelia grinned as he nearly crushed her and she rolled out from underneath him, moving to her feet. "Come on, the faster we move, the faster the time will go,"

Stefan looked at her as he shot up and followed her to the stairs, only to beat her to the top with a grin as he followed her towards the sleeping girl's room.

Noelia looked at Stefan. "What if she's actually asleep?"

"She'll be grumpy,"

"Like you," Noelia joked with a grin.

"I'm not grumpy!"

"Yes, Stef, you are,"

"Am not!"

"Wow, that was adult,"

"You're not funny,"

"Sure I am,"

Sighing, Stefan slowly opened the door and saw Lizzie Sinclaire on the floor playing with dolls.

"Noelia! Stefan! I'm sorry! I wasn't sleepy!" she exclaimed.

"We're not mad Squirt, Stefan and I were coming to ask if you wanted to... I dunno, hang out,"

"Wait, really? So no more grown-up stuff??"

"God no, I need some... fun fluffy today,"

Lizzie looked at Stefan and then Noelia. "I know what we're going to do,"

Noelia turned to Stefan and sighed. "We're at your service," Stefan grinned.

Lizzie pulled the adults by their hands into her bedroom and sighed. "Stefan, has anyone told you that you look like a prince?"

Noelia stifled a laugh. "No, but now I know," he replied with a laugh.

"Noelia, you're the... what's the thingie that Rapunzel's mom was?"

"A queen?"

"Yeah! But the nice one, not like Gothel,"

Noelia sighed. "Lizard, is this one of your princess fantasies?"

"May be so, but you make a good queen and Stefan is a good soon to be king,"

Noelia laughed before looking at her sister. "What does that make you?"

"Mushu. Stefan is Mulan,"

Noelia burst out laughing. "Stefan is Mulan? How so,"

Lizzie grinned before launching into her explanation. "He's saving you from the Huns, duh,"

"Lizard, I'm not China, I think you mean he's Flynn Rider, if he's saving me from a tower,"

"Oh, wait - which one is Mulan again?"

Noelia and Stefan sigh before Noelia explains the plot of the cartoon, horribly but it was done.

Lizzie sighed and reached for an old plastic tiara from under her bed. "You, Noelia, are the Princess. And you," she began as she pointed at Stefan. "Are going to rescue the princess,"

"And then who are you?" Stefan asked.

"Your sidekick,"

Stefan grinned. "Its a team effort,"

"Who's the dragon?" Noelia asked.

Lizzie paused. "I know!" she exclaimed after a few seconds before running downstairs and coming back, seconds later with a stuffed dinosaur.

"Not Rex!" Noelia protests.

"Yes! Rex!" Lizzie counters.

Stefan laughed at the girls' antics before turning to Lizzie. "What is my job?"

"You must slay the dragon, and save the princess before the bad guys kidnap her,"

Noelia scoffed lightly. "Kidnap me then,"

Lizzie rolled her eyes before turning back to Stefan. "We must prepare for the trip," she began as she threw several items in her small backpack and then handed Stefan her styrofoam sword.

Stefan gently tucked the sword into his back pocket as the little girl ran downstairs.

Noelia laid on Lizzie's bed dramatically, flipping through books as if she truly were captured. "Noelia, make it sound like you're in danger," Lizzie's voice rang out.

Noelia let out a dramatic cry for help, maybe all the danger she had been put through did come in handy.

"Stefan, it seems the princess has been put in danger," Lizzie yelled at Stefan.

Stefan let out a small sound as if he were truly drawing a sword. "Then the enemy must surrender,"

It was then that you could hear Stefan and Lizzie laughing and giggling as they persevered over the random obstacles Lizzie had thrown in the way.

Noelia grinned before letting out a loud scream, much more dramatic than before. "We're almost there Princess," Lizzie yelled out. "Once Stefan gets past the dragon,"

"If the sidekick would talk less, we'd be there faster," Stefan plays along.

"Well, hurry! I don't know if I can fight them off much longer," Noelia cried out.

It was then that they kicked the door opened. "We've arrived!" Lizzie exclaimed.

Noelia jumped off the bed before running towards Lizzie. "You've rescued me! Thank you!"

Lizzie grinned. "I didn't do much, it was all our lovely knight Stefan,"

Noelia turned to Stefan and threw her arms around him and pressed a small kiss to his cheek. "You're the heroes here,"

Lizzie wrapped her arms around both of them and Stefan scooped Lizzie up in his arms. "And they lived happily ever after," Lizzie finished.

And it was true, even now, after everything, they truly were happy. Even if it only would last an hour and a half.
