˗ˏˋ Your older boss invites you to his dinner party with his VIP clients, as his soon-to-be assistant you have to go. With a little liquor in his system, he gets bold enough to confess a feeling he can’t hold back anymore.

 - Reader’s POV 

Another day, another silly run to this stupid printer. Working for Tony Stark is some people’s dream or possible nightmare. I’ve been working here for almost a year. At first, I was just an intern for one of the workers here, until Mr.Stark saw how well I was performing and wanted me to work as his personal assistant. 

Today, I donned my black pantsuit with a white trim that fit me to perfection. I paired it with my chic Christian Louboutin heels and minimal accessories. My makeup was light but striking, and my new sew-in hairstyle added a touch of elegance to my overall look. As always, I paid close attention to my outfit and accessories, ensuring that they would complement both my figure and skin tone. Fashion has always been an essential part of my life, and I have a deep appreciation for its ability to elevate my style and confidence.

After retrieving VIP customer copies from the printer, I headed back to the elevator. As it rose to the top floor, I couldn't help but admire how huge and impressive everything was. It was unlike any company I'd worked for before. My thoughts wandered to the new heels Mr. Stark had insisted on buying for me. It still baffles me how thoughtful and generous he was, and I was grateful for his kind gesture.

I felt a mix of emotions when he bought me those heels. On one hand, I was overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and generosity of his gift. But on the other hand, I couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable accepting something so expensive. I had never experienced a man going out of his way to buy me something that was 'on my level'. It was both flattering and slightly intimidating.

The elevator doors opened, and I stepped out. Walking down the long hallway to Mr. Stark's office, I braced myself for the conversation that was about to unfold. As I stepped into the room, I caught Happy and Mr. Stark deep in a conversation about recent sales successes.

"Here you are, Mr. Stark," I said with an upbeat tone, a small smile playing on my lips as I handed him the requested papers. As he skimmed through the papers, I couldn't help but notice the scent of his cologne filling the air around us, sending a subtle shiver up my spine.

“Thank you for getting those for me Ms.{Last Name}.” 

"Of course, Mr. Stark," I replied, my voice firm but carrying a hint of warmth. "I'm glad I could help."

He studied me with a perplexed expression, a hint of curiosity in his gaze as he noticed my new hairstyle.

"You look different today," he remarked, a small grin forming on his lips. "This hairstyle suits you."

I felt a flutter in my stomach at his words. First, he had surprised me with those gorgeous heels, and now he was flattering me. It was like a delightful rollercoaster ride of emotions and compliments.

"Thanks for noticing, Mr. Stark. I'm glad you approve.” I say with a hint of happiness in my tone. 

"I noticed you wearing the gift I gave you. You look lovely in them. How do they feel?" He stood up from his chair, his towering form making me take a step back as he moved to stand in front of his desk. His gaze remained fixed on me, expectant of a response.

Happy gave me a brief but cheery hello and left, closing the door behind him.

“Thank you for getting these shoes for me. They fit perfectly. However, I must admit that I'm still a bit confused about why you went through the trouble.”  He raised his eyebrows at my statement and crossed his arms, listening intently to what I was saying. 

"I completely understand the feeling of confusion, but allow me to reassure you that the gift is perfect for you and you deserve it after all the outstanding work you've done for the company. You've truly gone above and beyond." 

With every word he was saying his tone was so sensual yet professional. It made me eager to hear more. I smile widely not letting my gaze leave his.

"I have an important dinner tonight with my top VIPs,” Mr. Stark informed me, “And I wanted to let you know because you'll soon be my personal assistant.” 

I couldn't help but wonder what the evening held in store for me. Fancy dining and an older crowd were not exactly my cup of tea, but I was determined to handle it professionally and rise to the occasion. After all, it was part of my journey toward becoming Mr. Stark's assistant.

He had a point, I thought, my nerves mingling with a flutter of anticipation. As we chatted about the midweek event, I asked cautiously, “What time should I be there tonight?”

With a kind smile, he alleviated my concerns. “There's no need to worry about transportation. A personal driver will pick you up at 8 pm sharp. And don't worry,” he added reassuringly. “while it may seem like another tedious business function, I promise our conversations will be worth your time. Let's make the most of it together.” 

                                   Time skip ₊⊹

Time was slipping away, and I hurriedly wrapped up the last details of my evening look. I slipped into a flattering burgundy dress, pairing it with the stunning black-red bottom heels Mr. Stark had gifted me. Every accessory was carefully chosen to complement my attire. And with a final touch of glamour, I styled my hair to perfection. I couldn't help but feel a sense of confidence as I took in my reflection in the mirror, ready to step into the evening with grace and elegance.

As the car horn sounded outside my apartment, I grabbed my perfume and quickly applied it with a spritz where needed. I snatched my clutch off the nearby table and headed out the door.

The driver greeted me respectfully, opening the car door for me. “ Good evening, Ms. [Last Name],"  he said politely. “The drive to the event will be short.” I thanked him graciously and slipped elegantly into the luxurious Mercedes, ready for the evening ahead.

He was correct about the brevity of the ride as you arrived at our destination. 

When you stepped out of the car, you were greeted by the familiar face of Happy, who greeted you with a compliment, saying, 'You look stunning as usual, Ms. [Last Name]. I'll escort you to wherever Mr. Stark is, You know how he can wander off.” 

As Happy led you toward Mr. Stark, you noticed that he had a slight buzz about him, and his wandering gaze fell directly on your figure, lingering over the bold dress that accentuated your curves.

As he looked you up and down, taking in the sight of the elegant burgundy dress hugging your curves, he couldn't help but feel a stir of admiration. The way the fabric fits your body perfectly, accentuating all your best features, left him unable to look away. A small smile crept across his face, his thoughts momentarily distracted by the sight of your stunning outfit. He knew he had made the right decision with the red bottoms, as you truly looked breathtaking.

With a warm, almost flirty, smile, he kept his gaze towards you and said, "You look absolutely captivating in that dress, Ms.{Last Name}. It suits you perfectly."  The sight of you in that dress had a mesmerizing effect on him, making it difficult to focus on anything else.

You thanked him with a soft, appreciative smile, your cheeks tinged a faint shade of pink. "Thank you, Mr. Stark," you replied, your voice filled with gratitude.

"Your compliments mean a lot to me." As he looked at you, he couldn't help but notice the subtle blush that spread across your cheeks, giving her a more charming, endearing quality. 

It was moments like these when he felt a flutter in his heart, his admiration for you growing with each interaction. The chemistry between you two was palpable, the air around them thick with unspoken tension and attraction.

That was soon cut short due to someone wanting to make a toast towards his company. Everyone sat down at their assigned table. Your seat is next to Mr.Stark and a lady named ’Natasha Romanoff’. 

Tony had recently made a life-changing reveal to the world that he was Iron Man. The stress of his work seemed to bear down on him heavily. The dinner was organized to help alleviate some of that stress. As the speaker highlighted his accomplishments, you watched as Tony finished off his scotch, his gaze distant and preoccupied.

As the speaker concluded their speech, inviting Tony to take the stage, With every step he took towards the microphone, waves of cheers filled the room. Tony took the mic, his charismatic charm oozing with every word he uttered. With a slight slur to his words, he began thanking everyone for attending, weaving in-jokes that brought laughter from the crowd. 

But as the atmosphere grew lighter, Tony made an unexpected declaration, slurring his words slightly. "You all need to hear this. This gorgeous lady that I was sitting next to, my soon-to-be assistant, is like something straight out of a dream. I find myself falling harder for her every moment..."

The whole crowd is shocked, even Natasha lets out a little chuckle at his drunken confession. 

Your surprise was genuine as Tony's heartfelt confession unfolded before you. Though he had been dropping hints for months, you never imagined it would transpire like this.

Feeling the weight of the moment, you swiftly made your way to the stage. The realization set in as the audience connected you to Tony's passionate words. With a tender touch, you smoothly retrieved the microphone from his grasp. He reciprocated by draping an arm around your midsection, pulling you closer to him as you both faced the mesmerized crowd together.

"I'm grateful for your thoughtful words, Mr. Stark," you replied, your voice carrying a mix of gratitude and playfulness. "You're a captivating presence for the audience, so let me steal you away tonight." Everyone cheered for your words. 

As you both left the stage, you intertwined your fingers with his, guiding him through the bustling room. The weight of his hand in yours was a new comfort to you. Grounding you amidst the whirlwind of the event. You led him to a secluded space, filled with a desk and chairs, where you could have a private conversation.

As Tony looked into your eyes, captivated by your gaze, he responded with a slight slur, his words laced with sincerity yet tinged by the effects of alcohol. "You know, my beautiful future wife, I meant every word I said. Every. Single. Word."

His voice held a mixture of vulnerability and a hint of flirtation as he broke the barrier between formal and intimate. The atmosphere was charged, the sound of the party beyond the room fading into the background. Tony's eyes never left yours, as if caught in the enchantment of your presence.

As Tony's voice caressed your ears, dripping with a sensuous undertone, you could feel a wave of anticipation building within you. The air thickened with a sensual atmosphere, charged with a tension that seemed to stretch out the time.

With a sudden and urgent move, Tony's hands found their way to your hips, drawing you closer to him. His confident touch sent sparks through your body. The height difference between you two meant you had to look up to meet his gaze. And before your mind could form any words, his lips were on yours, the kiss filled with a fiery passion that left no room for doubt or hesitation.

As Tony's arms ensnared you in an eager embrace, your fingertips trailed the length of his neck, tracing a delicate line across his smooth skin.

Tony's hands were strong yet gentle as they glided down your back, tracing a sensuous path along the length of your spine. The warmth they emitted sent tingles through you, making you shiver with desire. His touch sparked a fire within you.

The taste of his lips fueled your desire, driving your hunger for him higher. His touch sparked a fire within you, his fingertips now gliding under the fabric of your dress and caressing the bare, sensitive skin.

As your fingers continued their exploration, sliding over the fabric of his shirt, you couldn't help but admire the way his pulse quickened with each press of your touch. The sound of his breathing, slightly unsteady, added another layer to the electric air between you.

"Tony," you whispered in between kisses, "I need you, now. Here."

I'm actually so geeked out about how part two is gonna play out. SO HAPPY!!

so back when we were wrapping up SAD SACK i hid a cypher in the final page that when decoded would lead to a carrd site with a bunch of strange writings for a fictional religion + conlang stuff, unfortunately i hid it too good & nobody ever found it LOL & now that it's been over 5 years im honestly fine to just post it! below is a creation myth for the mots from uhhhhhhhh 2019, it was fun to try writing in real Ye Olde style. if you follow along with my other comic prelims ive posted, some of these names might look familiar!

disclaimer also, the fake religion in question is meant to be a misinterpretation of old extinct canaanite creeds where the folks who made it only had limited access to the already limited source materials + other writings from around the time period from different regions, so there is a Lot of cultural mishmash in here that i thought would reflect how people would actually mix and match the elements, similar to some modern day religions. just heads up!

1 The Earth began as Sea, Moon, and Stars. 2 The Sun emerged from the Moon, as through a window, and the Sun was in truth the LORD, come from a distant place in Heaven.

3 The LORD was weary and stopped to quench His thirst in the Sea, but the brine was sour and caused Him to be sick in the waters. 4 From His gorge and out of the Sea rose His organs, and They took shape and walked forth as his Brothers.

5 From the Sea rose the first Brother, clothed in robes of peridot, and at His left hip a crimson khopesh. 6 He looked upon the infinite Sea, and He breathed forth life unto the waters - fishes of every color, sprawling flora, and the people of the deep. 7 The LORD saw the wisdom of Heaven in his eyes, and the LORD called His name: BAAL KHASIS.

8 Then rose the second Brother, clothed in robes of emeralds, and in His left hand a crimson skinning blade. 9 He looked upon the people of the deep, and he breathed forth land, to split the Earth into above and below, as is Heaven and Earth. The Sea birthed clouds that crowned the lands, clouds that raged and spit cacophonous lightning and fresh sweet water, and the people of the deep migrated landwards. 10 The LORD saw the Earth's newborn storms in His eyes, and the LORD called His name: BAAL HADAD.

11 Then rose the third Brother, clothed in robes of golden topaz, and at His left eye a crimson maul. 12 He looked upon the land, and He breathed forth time - the sunrise and sunset, the seasons, the years, and old age. 13 The LORD saw the encroaching night in His eyes, and the LORD called His name: BAAL SHALIM.

14 Then rose the fourth brother, clothed in robes of pearls, and in His left mouth a crimson saw blade. 15 He looked upon the night, and He breathed forth coherence to the stars, the mighty constellations, the waxing and waning of the holy Moon, how it pulled the Sea's tides and bathed the shores. 16 The LORD saw the light of the Moon in His eyes, and the LORD called His name: BAAL YARIKH.

17 The LORD's Brothers produced for Him clothing of citrine to hide His nakedness. 18 And from His mouth the LORD poured the Sun's fire which He would fashion into any weapon of His choosing. 19 The LORD's brothers saw the infinite of all in His eyes, and They called His name: BAAL MUTH.

20 Then the five LORDS stepped into the Stars aside the Moon, above the lands and Sea, and They anointed themselves the LORDS of the Earth.

21 The Moon reflected BAAL MUTH's light and bathed the Earth's newborn land, and the LORDS' Shadows were formed on the land - weak, foul, and frail, each with one eye and half blind. 22 It angered the LORDS to see weakness in Their shapes, and They made war with their Shadows.

23 The first Shadow was Cacrinolas, a wicked man-faced wolfdog with the wings of an eagle. He opened his mouth and projected forth curses at the LORDS. 24 BAAL KHASIS's Brothers fell upon him in fury to tear the wings from his back. 25 With His burning khopesh, BAAL KHASIS beheaded Cacrinolas, and He cast the head into the Sea, 26 and He placed his wings into the Stars, so that they would become the celestial Nabu. But his grasp was not complete, and feathers of Cacrinolas fell loose and landed on the Moon.

27 The second Shadow was Forai, a vile beast with the head of a bull and innumerable hands. He opened his mouth and projected forth pleas for mercy so as to make the LORDS have pity. 28 But BAAL HADAD's Brothers fell upon him in turn to cut out his pleading tongue and take his hands from him. 29 With his burning skinning blade, BAAL HADAD removed Forai's genitals, and with his own hands Forai's heart, and He cast the genitals, the tongue, and the hands into the Sea, 30 and He placed his heart into the Stars, so that they would become the celestial Inanna. But unsteady were his hands, and the heart's blood fell and landed on the Moon.

31 The third Shadow Botis, a man-faced wayward serpent with a mouth of viper's fangs and a tail of rattling swords. He opened his mouth and projected forth poison from his fangs so as to make the LORDS sleep. 32 But BAAL SHALIM's Brothers fell upon him a moment before, to feed him his own poison and to take his fangs from his mouth. 33 With his burning maul, BAAL SHALIM broke Botis' skull in twain so that his brains ran free, and He cast the brains into the Sea, 34 and He placed his fangs into the Stars, so that they would become the celestial Ugarit. But His aim was not true, and one fang fell and landed on the Moon.

35 The fourth Shadow was Tuvres, a chimera with the body of both man and warhorse. So profane and so powerful was Tuvries that BAAL YARIKH's four Brothers could only restrain the beast and take from him his voice before he could speak, 36 so that BAAL YARIKH Himself could wield his burning saw blade and open his equine body to remove his entrails. 37 BAAL YARIKH beheaded Tuvres, and He cast the voice and the entrails into the Sea, 38 and He placed his head into the Stars, so that they would become the celestial Suen. But His grasp failed Him, and the head of Tuvres landed on the Moon.

39 So engulfed with wrath was BAAL MUTH, to see the holy Moon's light dimmed by such heavy handedness, such clumsiness, such carelessness. 40 So enraged was the LORD that his fire burned so hot as to burn even his Brothers. 41 So loud His roar, as though meant to crack the walls of Heaven itself. 42 The LORD BAAL MUTH opened His endless mouth, from where all things come and where all things return, where sound and light extinguish, where time folds inward, and He consumed His Brothers one by one.

Ongoing Series - Thai

Monster Next Door (Thai Thurs Gaga ) eps 7-8 of 12 - I do love these 2 a lot. It’s such a slow burn sweet comforting quiet little romance. It’s not complicated, it’s not stretching my thoughts or imagination, but it is easy and absorbing. I'm entertained by it without being taxed. And sometimes that’s nice. It's what Thailand does best.

Addicted Heroin (Thai Tues WeTV) ep 3 of 10 - Oh I’m still enjoying it. It’s only episode three and they’re basically boyfriend’s palling around shopping together and hanging out on a bicycle. What’s not to love? Also he got to meet the in-laws. Well… eventual in-laws. Also the girlfriend character. I totally forgot about her. Good times.

Sunset X Vibes (Sat iQIYI) ep 12fin - Baby faints. Bad guys caught and beat up a bit. Lots of romantic moments, come checking in with ALL the sides, and it ends.

Summary?

Classic CEO meets ingenue archetypes make for a somewhat banal and simplistic romance. This could’ve come from an 80s Harlequin, except that they’re gay. It's... old fashioned. There was nothing meta about this, there was no subversion or commentary on anything BL, queer, or beyond. It’s just a straight up (okay not straight) romance. I was not wild about these characters for this particular pair, but that’s not the pair's fault, they did a decent job with their parts and I look forward to their next show - here’s hoping it’s a bit more meaty. I preferred the side couple because they were more complex and true to BL archetypes, even if they were also a bit miss-handled. A serviceable show if somewhat lacking in its convictions, but with some beautiful sex scenes, people, and fashion. I was a particular fan of Lin‘s gender bending femme style. It’s groundbreaking to see that aesthetic on one of the leads. There were multiple times they could’ve leaned into well established plot points, paranormal elements, and character tension, and instead just glossed over them.

This should probably get a 7/10, but I’m giving it an 8 because of that one oppa line at the beginning, Tenon's tatas, and the call back to Big Dragon with that iconic musical refrain in the final episode. It was a pretty fun ride, emphasis on pretty and ride. 

Battle of the Writers (Sun YT) ep 5 of 12 - Lots of kissing this episode. And lots of different kinds of kissing from the same two actors in various different forms and characters. I really liked it. It’s nice to see that this pair can mix it up a little bit, even if it's just with their lips.

I Saw You in My Dream (Weds Gaga) ep 7 of 12 - OK the leg care massage was so boyfriend I can’t even. Who are they trying to fool? I love the way Ing always knows exactly what is going on. Thank goodness for that confession! I’m very much looking forward to the next episode.

The Trainee (Sun YouTube) ep 9 of 12 - Still couldn’t care less about the hets. Yawn. Ah Jane’s ex shows up. (Is that Green? Hi baby!) Meanwhile, Jane gets worried and jealous. I loved Pah in this ep, and almost wish this were a show just about him. Like a grown-up Green Fictions. (Where tf did Poon COME from allasudden? He’s a killer actor. GMMTV better use him wisely.) Also, in that scene with Pat and P’Jo, they’re eating some of my favorite food. I got a little bit of linguistic negotiation with Khun Par Phi. Cuteness. And we end with some actual communication. Yay!!! It’s kind of hilarious to see OffGun in a tentative hug. I don’t think they’ve been that way for a years.

In fact, this whole episode was pretty much about communicating properly between ages and ranks within an office and social structure. I loved that. I’m liking this one more this week. It’s still not my favorite currently airing, but I think that mostly has to do with how much other good stuff is on right now.

SPEAKING OF...

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

The On1y One (Taiwan Thurs Gaga) eps 3-4 of 12 - Uh huh, a game of one-up-man-ship is it? I think not. That boy wants to jump his cute stepbrother’s bones so bad that big brain of his is starting to melt. I'm here for it. Also, said sunshine cutie is clearly a big old cock tease. Everybody is happy about this. They sure know how to end these episodes on cliffhangers too. I don’t know how I’m gonna wait until next week.

I’m legit mad about how fucking good this is. After Unknown too?! Taiwan is spoiling us this year and THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING IT ALL ALONG.

Sugar Dog Life (Japan Sun grey) ep 3-4 of 10 - Oh my goodness do I love this show. It makes me laugh, I adore the premise, I'm wild over the characters, and the acting is killer. I’m just really happy about this show, OK? I tend to sing and clap: Oh they so cute.

Baby got his first crush and he has no idea what to do about it. I ADORE how angry he is about it. Like... How dare I even consider falling in love with somebody? How annoying of me. It’s great. I even liked the girl in the confession and how cool and sweet they both were to each other over his rejection. Bang up job. This is fantastic BL of the newer modern style. (As contrasted to On1y)

These top two shows are neck and neck for best of the week, for entirely different reasons. But I love all my sons.

Speaking of...

Cosmetic Playlover (Japan Tues Gaga) eps 7-8 fin - Oh it’s so adorable with the drama and the little subordinate coming to their rescue, and them meeting each other’s family. "I want to become someone who is essential in your life" = peak romance.

Summation?

I loved this little show. It was a classic office BL about the older workaholic who loves his job and the younger upstart who unexpectedly loves his boss. It’s a hyung romance where everybody is extremely earnest and sweet and pretty about everything. Except our seme, who is slightly unhinged and a little obsessed in all the ways one likes best from Japan. Plus the kisses were good! I can’t ask for anything more, utterly charming unexpected gem of a show. What a great time! 9/10

I Hear the Sunspot AKA Hidamari ga Kikoeru (Japan Weds Gaga) ep 11 of 12 - The lack of communication between these 2 may actually drive me insane. But I still love them. Such a sad ep. 

Seoul Blues (Korea Fri? YouTube) ep 3 of 8 - Argh but also oooooo. I bet the uncut version was fantastic this week.

First Note Of Love (Taiwan Mon Gaga) eps 5-6 of 12 - I'm starting to like this better. I’m still not convinced, but I did enjoy watching it this week. I’m getting some chemistry off the leads. Admittedly. that’s because they both behave like 16-year-olds. Surprise MosBank cameo - looking handsome as ever, boys. (Honestly, Taiwan really wants that King of the Cameos crown.) And FINALLY our side couple. I’m looking forward to next week primarily because of them. And I don’t even have them yet!

Takara's Treasure AKA Takara No Vidro (Japan Mon Gaga) ep 9 of 10 - OK the lap cuddle was v cute. As was the handholding. But hiking with a metal griddle? Insanity. Might be the craziest thing in a BL this year. And The Sign aired this year. Meanwhile, not a dead fish kiss! Yay! 

It's airing but...

4 Minutes (Sat Gaga) eps 1-6 of 8 - Gaga picked this one up so we can watch it there. I'm waiting until the end, it seems angsty and confusing and full of awful people being awful. But also... high heat and I'm shallow. So we shall see which devil wins (and how it ends).

Not me simping for my own design with this one oml.

- I've seen quite a few people headcanon Vil as Desi and I agree. I also view her as technically genderfluid but she normally presents very fem and is on occasion like, "Hm, masculine pronouns today."

- I was going to keep the blonde and make her have some root colour showing but it wasn't looking right. To be honest, she's slaying with the darker hair though.

- Made his eyes a deeper, purple-y blue and their earrings were a gift from Rook as they match her eyes almost perfectly.

- Totally a mother hen, keep in mind I literally have hardly seen her yet but I /think/ that's canon lol?

- Fashion nerd and could list the eras of different fashion trends and famous designers off the top of their head.

- Not a fan of physical activity, just does it to be in fit shape. She actually really likes to read nonfiction and love art history as well.

- Met Rook as first years and they bonded immediately. Probably the first person that Vil really clicked with.

Quick comment: Why does he look so fcuking weird w/out his hat in-game??? I have his ceremonial robes card and if he didn't already scare me, he definitely does now. I think my version looks a little less weird. Anyways, side tangent over.

- I kept his fuck-ass bob, it's simply too iconic, though I gave it a bit more volume and shape. You can decide if he's a natural blonde or not lol.

- I headcanon him to be Chinese and French, and he grew up bilingual. Has a hell of and accent and when he gets upset, they just swap to either Chinese or French, it's a fifty-fifty depending on the day.

- They're not super visible but the bow and arrow earrings were a gift from Vil to celebrate Rook winning an archery competition. I think it was pretty early in their friendship but that's when Rook registered her feelings for Vil.

- For as open as Rook is about finding others attractive, it gets nervous to directly compliment Vil to her face. This is more obvious with saying "I love you," which he doesn't mind tossing out to most people, it's just really personal toward Vil so they avoid saying it lol.

- Most of the compliments that Rook gives Vil are things Vil is already aware of so Rook doesn't chance bringing up all the things they love about Vil. (Can you tell I love them?)

*Breaks out the southern accent* Y'all thought the others thus far have been long, hoo boy... Y'all are in for a real treat.

- Firstly, my boy is transmasc. I feel like that's pretty widely accepted 'round these parts but I figured I should shout it out anyways.

- I made him mixed, Scandinavian? and Japanese and gave him some brown eyes to boot. Kept his face real dainty but gave him broader shoulders and a farmer's tan 'cause y'all know he's working at his parent's farm every summer.

- He's styled in like, the southern goth aesthetic and I added some green to his hair 'cause the 'poison' part of 'poisoned apple' wasn't coming across enough. By the way, his grandma dyes her hair in solidarity with him. She's cool. Be like Epel's grandma.

- When he first arrived at NRC, he only had his lobes pierced, then he saw Jade's piercings and was like "I want that,". Jade directed him to Cater, who gave him all his other piercings (not at the same time lmao). Everytime he got a new one, Vil would have a minor heart attack lol.

- I think he'd also actually really like cute things, one of the reasons he lets Vil doll him up for so long, but hates bringing it up 'cause people call him 'girly' or 'feminine' for it. This is another underlying factor for my Jack/Epel dynamic but I'll save that for later.

- Speaking of Savanaclaw, I think he has plans to transfer at the beginning of sophomore year. Also, because he hangs around Jack so much, they kinda consider him a part of the pack. In particular, Epel also really looks up to Leona and approached him in Spelldrive Club about transferring. Leona agreed and took notice of Epel's admiration and if he puts a little more effort into practise afterwards, that's no one's business. (I think he's be like, "Goddammit, these kids keep looking up to me... I should at least give them something worth looking up to." Only the MC would know, and probably Ruggie would notice just having know Leona.) Also, Epel saw Leona's chaps and immediately wanted a pair. Leona took him out to get some and when they got back, Vil was horrified lmao.

Third Year - (she/her) - Sapphic Aromantic

- She's twisted from Mother Gothel, who, can I just say, SLAYED in her movie ong. Though Disney really needs work on their representation, specifically the fact that her character is very Jewish-coded (I don't think she's canonically Jewish but please correct me if I'm wrong) but is portrayed in an anti-Semitic way, feeding into negative stereotypes. I'm not the most knowledgeable person to speak on this issue and I know it's been throughly discussed by others so please feel free to research it. I did have a friend who is Jewish help me make her character and I hope I did her justice!

- I made her Jewish, specifically Ashkenazi and conservative. I'm not quite sure yet how this would translate into Twisted Wonderland but we'll see.

- She's all about makeup products and she and Vil compare skincare routines in a sort of friendly competition.

- Another fun nod is she loves gardening. Namely flowers but occasionally crops and herbs. She's got her own little plot in the greenhouse and she and Epel discuss gardening tips together.

- She's also a nail artist and quite skilled at that. She has a small 'business' and is especially booked around school events.

- Tupac is my Yzma twist! His name is Incan, ironically meaning 'royal', as I figured out The Emperor's New Groove is inspired by Incan culture!

- He's the most flamboyant twink to ever walk the earth and I love him for that. That being said, he and Rocío are my token 'heteros'. They've been friends since first year and get along extremely well. He's got book smarts but literally no common sense. She has no common sense either and so they j st get into silly shenanigans together. I love them sm my little sillies.

- He's more into dramatic makeup and loves to do Rocío's because she's not into makeup and doesn't really know how to do it lol. He's also made her get a nice skincare routine which she follows diligently as she likes routines.

- Probably a part of the Boardgame Club, though I'm not sure how well he does. He probably just enjoys hanging out with the people and the banter rather than the games themselves, though I think he'd be very good at chess and other strategy games.

- The first of a set of twins twisted from the Siamese twins in Lady and the Tramp (I think that's what they're in, it's been a hot sec lol). I made them mixed, Black and Thai as Siamese cats originate from Thailand.

- Onto Chaisee specifically, I think he's the 'black cat' personality out of the two of them. She's on the more reserved side and is more blunt and to the point than his sibling is. Also autistic and has particular issues with loud noise and food textures. Not a fan of physical contact and hates being touched without permission.

- He like to fluxuate between masc and fem styles a lot (with the fem pictured here) and enjoys suits for formal wear.

- While it's into fashion, he likes to be more of a rough sketch and designer than actually doing the sewing. Her designs are quite avant-garde and lean into lots of floral patterns.

- She and Nasira work together to come up with different floral arrangements, both for Chaisee's designs and for Nasira's dorm.

- Churai is the 'tabby' cat energy one. They're very affectionate and full of energy. They love to help out others and are constantly doing things with other people.

- A hands-on person, Churai loves sewing and is a part of the sewing club. They tend to be the primary person to work on their sibling's designs because of the level of detail needed.

- ADHD and has to be doing something at all times. Because of this, they have a TON of hobbies, ranging from scrap-booking to fishing to reading about random topics. Gets along incredibly well with Kalim and they love hanging out with him. Also a very touchy person, loves hugs and cuddles!

- Their style is more on the feminine side and they love making cute dresses to wear. Definitely takes a lot of inspiration from the gyaru and harujuku fashion scenes.

- The technical oldest of the triplets and she holds that over their heads. She's was both happy and not to be in a different dorm than her younger siblings.

- Looks up to Hestia a lot and wants to be like her when she grows up (as if Hestia know what she's doing but yk).

- She's particularly interested in the poison aspect of Pomefiore and is keen to eventually become housewarden. As such, she's asked for Vil's help to learn as much as she can about making them.

I think I got a little bit mad in the tags of that poll post. But it grinds my gears that looking a certain kind of way is kind of the be-all-end-all of belonging in current queer communities, whether irl or online. I don't even see the ethos behind some of it when a lot of it just revolves around keeping up with fleeting trends.

I guess that's what's nice about tumblr. People can't immediately disqualify me for looking "too boring" or "NPC" or whatever, not unless they find my blog, the only sideblog I've ever posted my face on, and realises we're the same person.

It's just starting to seem nonsensical, what counts for "looking queer" these days? Some things obviously make sense: gender nonconformity for example. Some things don't make sense at all. You know around six years ago people were saying that it was soooo bisexual to roll the cuffs up on your jeans? Besides being frankly absurd and something lots of people do, I also haven't heard anyone say this in the last couple of years. Because it's a fashion trend thing, not something that has any ethos behind it. It's the same reason I don't get some early 2020s alt styles: it's not an emotional reflection externalized, it's not anti-establishment, it's not even all that subversive, it's just an ad for lots of eyeliner and blush and fast fashion hauls. All aesthetic and no subculture, as far as I can see.

And I feel like the same thing is happening with "visibly queer" for the people who aren't labelled that just because they stepped outside their houses as themselves. It's an aesthetic you have to try at and buy the right products for that's mostly readable to other queer people keeping up on the same trends, which makes it extremely catered to certain demographic groups that get to decide and perpetuate what "the queer look" in the current decade is.

And like, I wouldn't care if I wasn't met with suspicion from time to time from these people because I'm not following their aesthetic code so I can't be safe to talk to, but their aesthetic code doesn't make any sense to me!!!! What about any of this tells me anything about their lives besides that they really really like tiktok! It's like, i saw someone say in a video recently "you can tell a person's screentime by their outfit" for tiktok use and i feel that's so at play here, and then mixing that with like, you don't "look" queer so you must be an unsafe conservative NPC... IT'S WEIRD!!! OKAY!!! THAT'S A WEIRD WAY TO TREAT OTHER PEOPLE BECAUSE OF THEIR CLOTHES!!!!!!!!! Katsuki definitely speaks English, he’s a rich kid, and his parents traveled to the states a lot for work and they used to takes him in the summer. He just refuses to speak English because he thinks it sounds stupid.

The back and forth trips are how he ended up meeting you in the first place the summer between first and second grade. Your parents were working on a collaborative design line focusing on mixing Japanese and African American street fashion styles

Neither of you liked each other. He was loud and you thought his red eyes were creepy. He thought you were a loser and hated the noise your hair made when you walked (it was the beads, he thinks they look “cool or whatever” now though) you guys actually ended up fighting, Mitsuki thought it was funny because Katsuki lost (he started it) she bought you ice cream for winning.

After that day you guys came to an agreement to not speak to each other but by day 3 of vacation you were sharing games and sending each other colored screens on your DSIs. You guys did argue everyday of that summer though, and every day of every summer you spent together until middle school when he started staying in Japan to train.

Fast forward to high school and you still text each other. He’s at UA and you’re at a well known hero school in the states. Both of you are loud mouths with quirks worthy of helping saving lives (yours a quirk reversal/theft quirk that allowed you to reverse a persons quirk or utilize their abilities for a certain amount of time, like toga and all for one mixed).

Let’s just say your school has a sports festival similar to UAs that’s also televised and streamed nationally and internationally which prompts Miruko to want you intern abroad with her. Of course you accept and your school works with UA to get you into a transfer program thus starting your 1 year stent at UA. Now for fun’s sake you didn’t tell Katsuki you were coming to UA so imagine his surprise when all the rest of 1A is talking about some American transfer student and he walks into the common room and sees you sitting there.

“What. What the fuck are you doing here you fucking loser” the rest of 1A is shook, they know he’s an ass but they didn’t think he’d just be mean to new student. Just when they get ready to intervene you respond to him with a “you know you’re happy to see me fucker it’s been like 3 years” and the rest of the class is just like wtf is going on here. Y’all of course explain that you knew each other and that you’re besties. Deku being the only one not surprised considering you’d met him once before.

From then on you too go back into your old ways from childhood but with added addition of training. When you’re not busy with Miruko and him with Jeanist y’all go back to the Bakugo house and eat dinner with Mitsuki and Masaru.

You make him apologize to deku (long before canon) when he tells you what happened during middle school and how the first half of the semester had been. You beat his ass and told him to get over himself (he knew you were right).

You and Deku going feral when he gets hurt, LOV attacks and the three of you have to be put on house arrest by Iida cause y’all get too emotional over one another

Forcing him to class 1A gatherings. Neither of you wanna go but Mina saw you two getting ready to disappear after dinner and dragged y’all to movie night

Katsuki likes American food. Spice levels are just a little higher, flavors are a little more intense than typical Japanese food. You can cook a little bit and help him make American style dinners for everybody sometimes

People think you guys are partners cause of how relaxed you two are around each other but he’s like your brother and you would kiss m*neta before Katsuki

Episode Predictions/ theories:

1. The Screaming Runner

Appearance: A young adult with a lean build, messy hair, and glasses that keep slipping down as they run. Dressed in a hoodie and jeans, they look like an average college student caught in the worst situation of their life.

Personality: An anxious, bookish type who tends to overthink everything. They’re hyper-aware and have a tendency to catastrophize, which leads to their panicked, full-blown flight response when they realize they’re being targeted by I.M.P.

Episode Placement: This episode could take place in an urban setting, like a college campus, and be titled “Hell Week”. I.M.P is hired to take out this character by an angry, overworked professor who made a deal with a demon after being pushed too far. The episode could blend fast-paced comedy with dark humor as the chase escalates through campus buildings, lecture halls, and even the college library.

Episode Vibe: A mix of Scooby-Doo-style chase scenes with the classic Helluva Boss dark twist. The student keeps stumbling into hiding spots and accidentally creating obstacles for I.M.P., while Moxxie and Millie banter about how much work this job has become.

2. The Adoring Human

Appearance: A young, trendy fashion designer in their 20s with bright, stylish clothes, bold makeup, and a camera always in hand. Think dyed hair and glasses with colorful frames. If it takes place in Japan, they could be part of the Harajuku fashion scene, adding flair and an artistic touch to their look.

Personality: Outgoing, enthusiastic, and a bit of an airhead. They’re obsessed with anything “Adorable” and can’t help but find Millie, and despite her demonic appearance. They’re not scared of much and find the supernatural fascinating.

Episode Placement: This could be a fun, quirky episode titled “Demons in Tokyo”, where I.M.P is hired by a fashion CEO to take out a fellow employee at a fashion company (do to the CEO having accidentally been pushed out the building window to his death), but their mission goes awry when this fashion designer spots them and becomes obsessed. The designer insists on following them around Tokyo, taking pictures, and trying to get them to pose, much to Blitz’s annoyance.

Episode Vibe: The episode could be full of culture shock moments for I.M.P., who struggle to maintain their usual dark humor and murderous antics in a place as vibrant and bizarre as Tokyo. There would be plenty of comedic moments, with Millie embracing the chaos.

3. The Cryptid Enthusiast

Appearance: A middle-aged man with unkempt hair,dark maroon brown skin (he's black because i need more black cryptozooligist in my life) , an oversized trench coat, and notebooks full of cryptid sketches and notes sticking out of his pockets. He has intense, tired eyes and a wild look that screams “conspiracy theorist.”

Personality: Passionate, obsessive, and a bit unhinged. He’s the type who dedicates his life to finding proof of supernatural beings and refuses to accept defeat. His fascination is borderline fanatic, and he’ll go to great lengths to capture and study anything out of the ordinary.

Episode Placement: This could be part of an episode titled “The Hunter’s Dilemma”, where I.M.P is hired to take out a corrupt politician. However, they’re captured by this cryptid enthusiast who lives in a secluded cabin in the woods. The episode can have Moxxie having a moral crisis about hurting someone so passionate (albeit misguided).

Episode Vibe: The tone could be tense and eerie, balanced with Helluva Boss’s usual sharp humor. This human would bring a mix of comic relief and suspense as he frantically tries to understand I.M.P and documents their every move, all while being completely oblivious to their annoyance and danger.

Honestly I'm not even really sure how to explain my thoughts about all of it lmao. '80s synthpop has always been a recurring influence in his sound, but it's almost as if he's been adhering very closely to the tenets of the style the last 2-3 years -- of course I love the music from that decade too, I'm just not interested in hearing him incorporate it in a way that doesn't transform it enough, if that makes any sense. I could also go further to say that the "moment" it's had (in western pop at least, I can't really speak for the current J-pop scene because I try to avoid it at all costs) has passed and consumers' interests are shifting. Nostalgia has been the rule for the majority of pop media properties over the past ten-ish years; we've watched the pendulum swing around from '70s to '80s to (briefly) '90s and now landing at a fever pitch for Y2K turn-of-the-millennium fashion and subcultural trends (the way gyaru is en vogue, people are whispering about the Shibuya-kei scene again) and of course where subculture is involved, there are also musical trends...

So it's not something unique to him specifically, it's just frustrating to watch his form of that nostalgia trend take shape as milquetoast '80s pop ditties when people who spent their youths listening to his works from 2007-2010 are actually nostalgic for him and that sound right now. What's more frustrating is to hear music from other parts of the world that remind me and others of his trademarks and knowing he doesn't sound like that anymore, even after the two capsule mega-mixes (and Polygon Wave EP) that really took me back to peak capsule/Nakata Yasutaka...

Heya Jen,

So I feel like if I were a dude, people wouldn't look down on my clothing choices so much. Maybe it's just because people tend to, quite frankly, give less of a shit about what men wear and how they look in general while, and by contrast, focus a lot on a womans appearance.

I'm not quite butch in my own opinion, but I do tend to wear a lot of men's clothes, and even the women's clothes I wear tend to be quite practical. I like having my own sense of style. I like what I wear, but it doesn't seem to matter to other people, I guess it just seems like I throw on any old clothes to them.

I definitely tend to get this attitude more from women and, more specifically, my aunt. She's told me that I look like I've walked right off of a farm before, and while if anything I took it as a compliment, she certainly didn't mean it that way. In the past, her comments were more harsh, so it's an improvement. At least now it's not outright homophobic, i.e """asking""" me if I want to look like a lesbian or a boy in a rather condescending tone. It's more so a "THAT'S what you're wearing?" Thing. I even get the impression my queer friends just think I don't care about my clothes at all, and while I'm no fashionista, I do like putting together what I consider nice outfits.

Also, admittedly, like most people I do some days, just throw on clean clothes, I just don't see why, regardless of how I dress, it seems more worthy of comment and criticism. I don't see men's outfits commented on or criticized half as much, if at all, and we basically wear the same things.

This is just a very long-winded way of asking if you've gotten this sort of attitude too and how you deal with it? It's not like when I was younger and pushed me to try and wear more feminine clothes, though it still irritates me though I wish it didn't.

I was never very well tapped into the fashion of the day. In my younger years I would put on what I wanted with no regards to what others might find proper. My mom gave up after on getting me to wear matching dresses and shoes or shirt and shorts outfits. Dad was fine when I came out of my Raggedy Ann themed bedroom in red cowboy boots, jean shorts and an orange shirt (with the bottom cut off) that said "10-4 Good Buddy".

In high school the one think my mom would not let me have was a three quarter length sleeved white shirt with a rainbow. She said I would get it too dirty and my shoulders were too wide for the fit. (she was not wrong in either case). So I tended to go with sweatshirts, t shirts and jeans. I was HORRIBLE at trendy clothing because I mixed and match too many things that just did not go together. I wanted overalls but knew that they were too "manly" for me, a girl. I went to the mall and spent my hard earned money on the closest girl thing, a peach colored pair of overalls for girls that were also kind of pedal pushers. It was NOT a good look.

Whenever I tried to be trendy I would bed it to be more what I wanted but not committing to "boys" clothes and it always went sideways in the worst way.

College saw me stick with t shirt and jeans but it was the 80's and everyone wore just that. Finally, a time in fashion where fashion was the same for everyone. Utilitarian and simple, at least in small midwestern college towns.

My mom would say to my young self. "are you sure that is what you want to wear?" or "Do you want help picking out clothes?" In retrospect she was trying to save me from drawing attention or getting picked on but just eventually figured I would either learn or live with it.

I know exactly what you mean about people assuming that me wearing what I was comfortable in as an adult was me just tossing any old thing on. My first girlfriend helped me by expanding my confidence and wardrobe. Custom made suspenders, men's dress pants and white button down for men instead of women's clothing that sort of mimicked men's style. After we broke up (7 years later) I still struggled a bit but slowly learned that the important thing was I felt good in what I wore and not what others had to say about it.

Men get a pass because I think is it often assumed they just don't have the need or capacity to dress themselves beyond simple and what is on the floor. This is, of course, also an unfair stereotype. Many men lack the confidence to stop out of the easy and simple to try and dress better for public consumption so they get in a routine. AND women are assumed to always want to look good for others so when we don't fit the expectation of our culture we "just don't care".

NOW I rarely dress up because of my jobs. I wear "work clothes" most days because I know within an hour of getting dressed I will be dirty. But I am most confident and comfortable in my work clothes. When I do dress up to go out I finally am like my young self (wear what I want) with a little more awareness of what others see. I shop at estate sales and find vintage western style shirts and unique belt buckles to wear. I feel good, have my own style and i think others see my confidence because I am less concerned about what others think and just happy to be wearing what I love.

People start to see confidence over aesthetics as you become more comfortable in clothes you love.

Alexis Sara's Top 10 Most Anticipated Games Of 2024

We're about to enter 2024 and with that we have all the lists, lists I am not immune to making because I slowly build them up all year. Last year I played a fuck load of games and so this year I wanted to talk about 10 games I think look really fucking cool that are coming out in the next year or two. Some of these games are likely to release in 2025 instead but it'll be fun to see if they remain on the list next year then. I mostly just wanted to spotlight some art that looks cool to me outside of the context of a Sapphic Games Guide or a Review and maybe get others on the hype train with me. This list is not in order and just 10 games I think look like they could have an impact on me, I may not even buy every game on this list but there the 10 that look like I am most likely to check out.

Gales Of Nayeli

So this is one of two games on the list I've already purchased. I backed the kickstarter of the game a while back and I thought "it looks alright and when I asked if there was gonna be any sapphic content the creator told me in depth what content he had already made so sure I'll back it. What was more if a thank you for being so kind and responsive so fast has turned into my most hype game of the year. Blindcoco and me have become friends over time so I am biased but I was actually sold on the game before me and him became buddy buddy when I played the demo and saw the amazing work that went into it. Then the extremally positive response from him and the community towards my desire to focus in on women and sapphic women only added to my excitement for the game.

The game genuinely seems to be raising the bar for SRPGs and really feels like it is a step above Fire Emblem and not an emulation of Fire Emblem. I loved the demo and the concepts in the game so much it inspired me to start working on my own SRPG studios game knowing what is possible at the high end of investment in the system can really be something special and really cool. I love that there is a focus on trying to cast voice actors who match ethnicity to the diverse cast, I love that there is a wide range of diversity in the revealed cast, I love the amount of queer women I am aware of in the game, I love the animations and sprite work, I love the gameplay, I am really really excited about this game and I think this game has a high shot at being one of my favorite games.

Fields Of Mistria 

I make fun of farming sims a little on my lists and stuff but only because I actually love farming sims especially in concept. This game probably has my favorite art style of the whole lot of games today. It's lovely 90s anime style sprite work is just AHHHHHHHHHH so good. I do in fact want to kiss the women in this game very badly and I would enjoy playing the game for the sake of dating them alone.

Rune Factory: Dragon

Let's bang out the second farming sim while we're at it. We don't know a bunch about this game but it really just has to do two things for me to be into it. One, let you be gay like the newest RF and Story of Season games already let you do and Two, keep up the art direction and bam, I'm in. My biggest problem with the last Rune Factory game was that the art style made every woman look like a 12 year old and not in the like chibi story of seasons way like they just looked like they were kids. This however, has a much better set of art direction and it makes me think there might actually be women I'd want to gay marry.

Mahou Senshi Cosplay Club

I really love Behold's previous game Chroma Squad but when I got this demo I had no idea they were the Chroma Squad people. The mix of dress up and RPG gameplay is a dream come true kind of game and the outfit customization is leagues beyond a game like Fashion Dreamer despite likely being made on a much smaller budget. The PSX style graphics actually work here with them evoking nostalgic graphics while also not actually being restrained by a Playstation One's issues. I just really loved the process of making the outfit and character in this game and honestly that alone is a potential game seller. The gameplay element was solid and I really want to play more of this.

Beastieball 

BeastieBall seems to be a really fun take on the Monster Taming genre. Having the monster friends play a sport and naturally be inclined to play the sport makes for a very cute and wholesome premise to which you become more a coach than an owner to these little cuties. It's a pretty simple concept in the demo but it's promising and cute and I do like that the monsters you collect build relationships with each other, I think that is something really special and neat and something I'd like to see more monster tamers do.

Love In A Bottle

 There is a lot of nice looking visual novels coming out but Love In A Bottle is dating sim that is really capturing my eye. You play as a demon girl, bam okay I am sold. You date other monster girls okay I'm sold. And it's got more then the basic one outfit you expect from a standard visual novel dating sim type deal for characters that is yet another sold factor. It seems really cute, seems fun and I hope I can smooch all the women at once.

Fantasy Life I

While I said we were done with farming sims, I didn't say we were done with sims as we have Level-5's Life Sim, Fantasy Life. I won't be buying the game if I can't be gay in it but I really loved the first Fantasy Life on the 3DS and I think if it can keep up the charm and fun of the original game and add a homosexual seasoning on top it'll be a perfect cute and fun time. I love the wide array of jobs and how these all build into each other, it's a very one of a kind experience and really fun.

Princess Peach Showtime 

This is the true triple A game of the list and the only one that has captivated me in all the shows of all the consoles and developers I've seen of late. Peach is barbie now and I am here for it, let her have a million jobs and have a game based around her doing these different roles and being an icon in each of them, sounds good, I'm in, it's a really cute and fun concept. It looks really fun and the art style looks great.

Our Life Now and Forever 

There is no other games like the Our Life games and getting to be sapphic in this one means I finally get to go ahead and experience the series I have been curious about for a while now. This game will let you be polyamarous which is the only game on this list I can say for sure will allow you to do that and that alone is something that would keep me engaged. However, getting to grow up with characters, change your pronouns, your name, anything about yourself as you do and having the characters change with you is amazing. I love the concept of this game and the wild reactivity the games demo has always provided just to a simple thing like me choosing to be trans in the childhood phase is amazing, it is truly such a considered and thoughtful game with such masterful crafting that the act one demo alone is probably worth money. So I did back this one on kickstarter as well so this is my other pick up.

Unlike other games on this list I am fairly confident this is a 2025 game and not a 2024 game but I want to talk about it now because people on the Patreon will be getting to play updated versions of the game over the course of the year akin to early access. I think the game is for sure worth a look.

Izrand Allure

After playing the previous game in the series I am totally sold on wanting to experience Izrand Allure. Luxaren Allure was a really special experience I had this year finally checking out the game after I think years of putting it off and beating it I really want to play this follow up. This game seems far more in depth and far more artistically masterful then Luxaren as well so I really want to see everything this game has to offer. I love a good job system and this game boasts one. I really want to see this lesbian RPG and I hope I get a chance to play it very soon but obviously Unity the dev should take her time to make it. Regardless, I am just gushing every time I see the game and I think this has potential to be a massive game of the year type hit for me.

Scene Kyle hc rant

(disclaimer: everything I bring up is based on people's takes I saw on this topic, I'm not using any actual quotes or screenshots because I don't want to direct anyone, I'm just a scene kid and south park fan who thought heavily about the topic and I need to share it :))

So as we all know in south park fandom there's been headcanons putting main 4 into different subcultures, the most common ones being goth Stan, juggalo Kenny, gyaru Cartman and scene Kyle, the latter being probably one of most hated and controversial ones.

As much as I don't believe that Stan would go back to being goth or that Cartman would be actively gyaru, I think Kyle fits being scene (coming from a scene person who was some time in the subculture) and I wanted to explain why or how he fits on it and why hc doesn't deserve the hate it gets.

First of all, scene is not goth or emo. It feels weird to point that out since it's obvious but a lot of people, as an argument of why Kyle wouldn't be scene like to point out the goth Stan episode were he says something along the lines that he doesn't want Stan to keep pitting himself by being goth. While this phrase applies directly to goths and could also be used for emo subculture as extension, it doesn' apply to scene subculture.

Scene is not just colorful version of emo or even a typical subculture as we like to think about them (punk, goth). It's not necessarily based on the ideas, and even if it would be something along the lines; hiding or not showing pain by dressing in colorful way and listening to party music, which honestly is an opposite of what Kyle said.

Scene is also a lot about being open, outgoing and social more than emo, the subculture it originates from.

If I'm already pointing out obvious I also want to say that not every scene kid is stereotypical "rawr XD so random". Not every scene person goes around and rawrs at people, as in every subculture every person acts different and there is no single way of how someone behaves. While yes I agree Kyle would not act this way, this doesn't mean he can't be scene (a lot of problems in Kyle scene interpretation is that they often mischaracterizes Kyle in process which doesn't have to be the case, Kyle could be shown as his normal south park self while also being scene).

The argument of Kyle not being able to be scene, because he's shown as a jock falls apart in my opinion when we see how scene queens are often depicted as cheerleaders (who are the female version of jock)

Now for the more important part of being scene is the style (pun intended). A lot of times it's brought up that Kyle would not dress in scene fashion, when we are talking about character who's most recognizable feature is bright green ushanka, which not only scene features a lot of bright or neon colors, ushankas were also used in a style. We could make an argument that even if he's wearing that in fourth grade it doesn't mean he would wear it in future and he just dresses like a kid would, and while yes I agree but if we think this way we would also have to throw out the jock argument I brought up earlier because a lot of kids used to practice sport while they were younger and even wanting to be professional at said sport. We can have either one argument or neither.

As for other aspects of fashion, Kyle as a scene kid would most likely wear neon monster band merch (what bands I will get to later) or cartoon merch with some colorful skinny jeans or baggy pants. I also think he would want to add accessories like neackleses, bracelets and different kinds of hats (he would also have domo ushanka). He would most likely wear both converse and vans. If you want to mix in some of style from his other hcs I would also throw in green flannels.

For hair, I would see Kyle as an scene who straightens his hair every morning to have that perfect straight hair (as we all know the most scene people were born with most curly hair) and if he didn't straighten it he would at least make sideway fringe. I would also see him dyeing it but looking at it from show perspective his red hair is too important to his character.

Music is also important part of the scene. Kyle as a scene kid would most likely listen to all scene genres like crunckcore but I personally think he would be more into metalcore. He could listen to bands like: I set my friends on fire, attack attack, and asking alexandria.

If you however believe that Kyle wouldn't listen to more metal music (although we can assume he at least listened to Metallica) and he would prefer calm music, we also need to remember that big part of scene was neon pop punk, one band for example being never shout never, which even if Kyle wasn't scene I think he could enjoy.

That being said at the end of the day it's just a silly headcanon that people made up for fun who can't hurt you at all. Let people have fun however they want (and if you seriously get angry at this head canon just existing, there are really other things you should care about than south park head canon)

How would you describe your childhood in general? I would say I had a pretty good childhood, my parents did a honest job raising me and supporting me. I would say I grew up somewhat privileged but my parents made sure I understood hardwork

Did you enjoy school? I enjoyed school until I felt like it was getting in the way of my interest. In college I enjoyed the experience more than actual classes

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? A mix of natural talent and performing arts summer programs and extracurricular activities through his adolescent years

While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. My dad has always been a role model for me. I looked up to my dad because he was always there for me, guiding me through life. He showed me what hard work looks like, and how to be kind, patient, and responsible. He didn’t just tell me what to do; he led by example. Whether it was how he treated others with respect, how he handled challenges, or how he made time for family, I saw that every action he took had meaning behind it.

While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? I’d say I had a bit of an unconventional relationship with my family. I’ve always been a bit of a thinker—someone who tends to observe, question things, and sometimes think outside the box. My family wasn’t always on the same wavelength as me, and I could be a little misunderstood because of that. But despite that, I generally got along well with them.

Some of his friends were his teammates and he always made sure to be cool with the smart kids who could help him keep his grades up
