Hmm as an avid Astarion romancer who is trying their hardest to romance Gale in this playthrough the option to tell Astarion that what he needs is a friend is so satisfying and makes me so happy actually

#it feels very rewarding to be his friend over his lover which is crazy #because I love his romance and things but him saying he’s never had a friend until you #and always calling you his friend after the fact is lovely #and it’s still very much emotional and moving #anyways I got charmed by Gale I was charmed by him when I first played but man it’s hard to say no to Astarion #so now I have my goody goody paladin tav and she’s romancing Gale #my durges get astarion because I think the story beats work really well together
