Hi hello I had a thought and I needed to share!

Early pregnancy at thanksgiving sounds so wonderful omg. Sitting next to your partner and letting them load up your plate, you’re eating for two after all. After the meal is done and everyone’s headed off to do their own thing, you get to go crawl into bed with your partner and enjoy the curve of your tummy. Between the massive meal and your steadily growing bean, you’re visibly rounder. Ah, the post-thanksgiving cuddles that would ensue, makin me all soft and melty over here 🥺❤️

but hello???? you have hit me in the feels with this ask oh my goodness. just me and my partner knowing i'm pregnant and hiding it because we're waiting for the first trimester to pass. i'm purposefully wearing stretchy pants and an oversized sweater so no one can see the curve of my belly or how plump i'll look after eating all my food.

it's thanksgiving so there's no judgement for plate after plate i eat. my partner is sweet for filling my plate up for me, even letting me pick a few things off their plate if i want to try seeing if it won't make me feel nauseated so i don't have anything left on my plate to make anyone question. i'm so much more ravenous with this little nugget. i've definitely got a little foodie i constantly have to have snacks with me so my stomach doesn't growl.

i'm still eating when the other around the table are getting up to clean up the dishes or sit in the living room to hang out. i feel embarrassed to still have food on my plate so i get up to help clean too. my partner knows i still feel easily embarrassed about eating so much, noticing their gaze on me as i'm wiping off the table. they come to my side to subtly run a hand against my bump that has softened and grown from the food i've eaten. the skin feels tight and warm from how it's stretched from the contents of my stomach and the little babe taking up residents in my womb it weighs me down. my gait must look comical as i have a slight waddle from having to shift my weight to keep from bumping against the table.

when we go back home the sweater is tossed to the side to access my engorged midsection. as i expected my belly has gotten plumper, the already evident baby bump emphasized by the sheer amount i ate. i look further along, at least a month longer than my pregnancy has actually progressed and it makes me melt. i'm excited to see how big i become over the coming weeks and the changes my body will go through. my partner drags me to bed so they can explore the stretched out belly and shower me in affection since they weren't able to the entire time we were eating dinner. to bad we can't keep the baby a secret until after christmas but it'll be easier to get away with eating absolutely anything i want and have people give me even more food to satiate my pregnant hunger
