maybe marathoning chernobyl last night wasnt such a good idea
#every episode just felt more bleak than the last#my blood ran cold during the opening of the 4th episode when the man was trying to convince the grandma to come with him#i heard the puppies yelping (same episode) and literally turned around not wanting to watch even before they were shown on screne#then went to pick up our dog and let her sleep on my stomach/chest bc i needed her to know i love her#i literally finished those gifests (omg my first flop posts <3) last night to try to not linger too much on the thought#it didnt work bc i still had trouble falling asleep#i kept getting flashes of images of the 3 men who walked into the flooded building#and the people only allowed 90 seconds of exposure on the rooftop#and especially of the guy laying on the hospital bed whos skin was full of blisters and literally falling apart#the anger in the guys eyes and how he kept repeating 'dont let them suffer' kept echoing in my mind too#i really respect the coal miners too though
