She’s been here for several minutes already, listening in silence from a respectable distance, taking notice of how this man hit every note, how he made his transitions, all those little technical details she’d been school to notice back home. To her trained ear his music didn’t sound as polished as she was used to, but she was in no position to give any criticism. Nor did she want to.

When he’d finished his set, she reached into her expensive designer purse and pulled out a handful of bills, carelessly, as payment for the street performer. It’s definitely more than the average person would give.

“...Pardon,” she starts, accent thick and obvious in the way she pronounces the word. “Can you sing ‘La vie en rose’, as sung by Louis Armstrong?”

It’s been a few weeks since the pair have ran into one another, so it was really nice to finally see how he was doing. He already looked a lot better than the last time she saw him, which had to have been when she was showing him the spare room over the flower shop.

“How have things been? Hopefully well!” Leia nodded, giving Raven a large smile while petting the overly affectionate St. Bernard Daisy, who was currently leaning against her.

“Sure Daisy is a great cuddle buddy after a long day of work.” Sure Daisy was the flower shop owners dog and all, but she loved people.

Chiaki had figured he might be; after all, he wasn’t wearing either the Primary Course’s or the Reserve Course’s uniform. She didn’t want to assume he hadn’t meant to be there though. The Primary Course campus could be a bit confusing to newcomers; she had certainly appreciated the map she got at the entrance ceremony, though she would’ve eventually figured out the pattern easier than most. Not to mention the entire school grounds contained two separate campuses. But.... he had said he couldn’t make out where he was.

“You’re in Hope’s Peak Academy’s grounds. This fountain marks the waypoint between the two campuses. Did you need something here?”

          having another person living in her apartment was odd yet the company was oddly satisfying. she’d lived alone for many years now, too afraid to let anyone that close. but raven was alone in a strange place. even if she couldn’t be a hero, she could still do something heroic. 

          “are you hungry?” umi asked as she walked into the living room, already knotting the apron’s straps around her back. “i’m making katsudon, does that sound alright?” 

          she wondered if this was like living with a sibling - she wouldn’t know, seeing as she was an only child, and in reality, the two barely knew each other. 

          “if you don’t like the sound of that, i can make something else,” she added.

Just bits and pieces of myself. I think Midnight is somewhat closer, but she’s more on the analytical side than me. She share more of my negative traits. Rena takes after my stubborness. Medea is all of my salt.

I’m very observant, so easy for me to figure people or read the room. It’s love/hate thing I got for it though. Sometimes, I know things but I choose to ignore to not hurt anyone’s feelings. 

☕  - Do you prefer coffee or tea? Perhaps neither, or both?

Both. Definitely both.

♫ - Do you listen to music when you write? If yes, what kind of music, if no, why not?

I do and I don’t. I try to avoid music while writing because it distracts me, but sometimes music is inspiration for characters, story backgrounds, or fuels my muse a bit. As far as what kind? Well... um... I listen to stuff that lift me up. I like songs with lyrics have meaning behind it or invoke emotions and stories written in it. I’m a nerd I guess. I also like songs with men with pretty voices.

“I’m not saying I distrust you either. I just don’t trust people by default like others might. I’m a very neutral person.” What she said was certainly not taken how she meant it. Although any normal person would have taken it how he did when it came to the way she said that. “My opinion is based on experience, and I have none regarding you so far is all.”

Leia glanced at the time on her phone a moment to check the time, Raven was a bit late. Maybe he ended up getting lost...? Or perhaps there was some traffic and- Before she could finish her thought, she finally spotted him after taking another look around and let out a sigh of relief.

“Raven...!” She called out, waving to him with one hand as she placed her phone carefully back into her corgi bag.

“It’s good to see you, how have you been?” She beamed, moving her hands behind her back as she waited for him to walk up to her. “Hope my directions weren’t too confusing.” He did say he had trouble reading addresses in Japan and she did her best to make it easy for him to read.

“N-no.... I don’t...,” she replied. She didn’t usually find herself getting hurt, so she had no need to carry around bandages. She didn’t get into fights like Owari or Nidai, and she wasn’t constantly tripping like Tsumiki. 

She pulled a handkerchief from her pocket and held it out for him. He’d at least be able to stop the bleeding.

Once he responded just the way she had hoped, Uraraka would burst out laughing. She held her stomach a moment, feeling the tears begin at the edge of her eyes. He was just so predictable! And she couldn’t help that she always seemed to tease him in a sense when they found each other interacting.

     ❝Of course I will! You are still such a mystery waiting to be solved!❞

Even though they were friends, and she surely knew his name, there was just still so much that intrigued her about him. Once her goofy laugh wore off, Uraraka leaned a bit over to him interested, the smile never leaving her face.

             ❝Ohhhh~ Who are you texting? Your girlfriend perhaps?!❞

          The brawl had ended only minutes ago, but the scene was already cleared of heroes and villains; the only remaining people on the ground were first responders and reporters. Umi was one of the latter. Narrowed eyes scanned the busy street and the damage caused by the fight – debris littered the road and pathways, a hazard to walk through. It was easy to imagine the power involved in this fight, the strength of the quirks used.

          Most of the journalists crowded around the police, demanding answers to questions the emergency force probably didn’t have yet. Her approach had always been different. Bystanders were the best people to ask, in her opinion — listening to multiple accounts of the scene would help to build a story so that when it came to speaking to the first responders, she had more information than the other journalists.

          Her eyes settled on a young man lingering by an alley nearby, free from anyone harassing him for answers. Umi approached him slowly, a casual stride to her step to mask her true purpose. She came to a stop nearby and turned her gaze to the crime scene, bordered off with police tape. 

          “Looks like there was quite the fight here,” she mused, tilting her head a tad as she looked at him. “Did you see what happened?”

🍭  Okashi was lounging in the shade of a tree, eating a frozen popsicle. It was a hot day, but he still wore his gloves. He glanced up from his frozen treat to find a familiar face.

“Oh, hey! Raven!”
