The MXL 4000 is a condenser microphone ideal for recording vocals, instrumentals, and speech. The microphone is equipped with a cardioid polar pattern, allowing it to pick up the sound from the front of the mic while blocking out the sound from the sides and back.
The mic has a low-frequency roll-off to reduce background noise and a high-pass filter that removes any low-frequency rumble caused by air turbulence.
