musingaboutbooks answered to your post “Is anybody else looking for a Goodreads replacement? You know, just in...”
I'm looking now. I'm probably going to search for one.
Let me know if you find anything good? So far I've got three I like (Slice, Libib, BookLikes, in case you want to take a look) and out of those BookLikes seems the most functional. Well, actually I don't know what Slice is actually like since they have a Facebook login. Anyway. If I find anything else, I'll drop you a link. :)

Have you always loved to read, or did you grow into it?
How many books do you hope to read this year?
How do you arrange your books? (Title, author, most liked to lesast liked...?)
Do you usually use bookmarks to mark your page, or something a little different? Like a movie ticket or a receipt?
My mom can't re-read a book. Can you?
Can you read more than one book at a time? Do you like to?
My answers are below, if you'd like to read them click Read More! :)
takenbyabook:
What's your OTP? Way to hard to choose! I ship people from every story I read, so it really depends on what book I'm most obsessed with at the time!
What's your fictional character crush? If I had to choose one, it would have to be Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
What’s your 2013 goal as for books (books you intend to read, re-read,and how many) I have a very long list of books I'd like to read this year. I'm hoping to read at least 50 books, but I think that I'll end up reading more than this!
What’s your opinion on e-readers? Great for traveling! I miss the feeling of holding a book though.
What’s your favourite place to read? Anywhere that I can change my position easily! I read for hours at a time, I can't be expected to stay in the same spot the entire time!
Would you rather read with someone by your side, or by yourself? Definitely by myself. I feel rude when I'm with someone and I'm reading.
Hardcover or Paperback? I like paperbacks! Hardcovers are more difficult to hold when reading.
What’s the most expensive book you ever bought? And what’s the cheapest? The most expensive book was probably... $25-$30. Hmm, the cheapest one was most likely... $5 (though I have gotten free books!).
You’re in a dinner with five characters and an author. Choose a character who you’d like to be alone with, one to be your best friend, one to say beautiful words during the toast, one to cook and a villain to spice things up. And the author can be your favourite one, or the one you most hate, so you could express your hate to him/her. Wow! Okay, lets see... The character I'd like to be alone with is probably Mr. Darcy (sorry Lizzie!). I'd have to say that I'd want Chloe from the Darkest Powers Trilogy as my best friend (a friend who can raise the dead, what more could you ask for? Plus, she could introduce me to Simon!). In Twilight Bella is always cooking... I'd like to see how good she really is! A villian... hmm, I think I'd choose Kylar from the Night Angel Trilogy (he kills people... he counts right?). I seriously need to meet Brent Weeks (author of the Night Angel Trilogy) he's crazy awesome and I'd regret not meeting him! If not him, then Jane Austen! I can't pass up the chance to meet the person who thought up my dear Mr. Darcy!
If you were to live forever inside a book, which would it be and why? Would you be yourself or one of the characters? Oh gosh, so difficult to choose! I'd love to see first hand what the world Brent Weeks created in the Night Angel Trilogy looks like... but I'd probably die of starvation (if I'm lucky) in less than a week. So, I'd have to choose Pride and Prejudice! I think I would be myself, but as Lizzie and Darcy's daughter? I don't know, it could be interesting!
Desert island: what book would you bring with you and why? (You cannot bring a guide or a map, though.) The Hatchet. It's entertaining, and I can get some ideas for surviving... though I'll have to be creative!
thesweetserenityofbooks:
Why did you start your book blog? I didn't read as much as I'd have liked to last year. By starting the blog, I'm hoping that I'll be motivated to start reading again. Once I get started, I don't stop!
If you had to be a fictional character, who would you be? Meggie from Inkheart. That way, I could travel into a bunch of books and enjoy myself!
What are you currently reading? I'm reading 1984 by George Orwell for school, and still reading The Gypsy Thief by Kellie Bellamy Tayer (things keep popping up that prevent me from reading, it's very frustrating!).
If you could visit any fictional place from a book, where would you visit? Probably Hogwarts. I grew up with the story, so I'd feel disappointed if I didn't go to see it when I had the chance!
What is the most emotionally heart-wrenching book you’ve read? I tend to shy away from books that I know will make me cry (which is why I haven't read The Fault in our Stars). I cried for days after Fred died... and for about a month after that I was worried about George. I get attached. I still cry when I read that part and think about it.... sad books and me just don't mix.
Biggest fictional character crush? Or top five crushes, if you need. Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice) and Kylar (the Night Angel Trilogy) are my top fictional crushes. No one will ever top the love I have for them!
Do you have a favorite quote from a book? If so, what is it? “It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.” -- Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
Where is your favorite place to read? Anywhere that lets me move around! I can't sit still when I read, waaayy to much excitement!
What movie adaptation are you most looking forward to? This is hard to answer... there are so many! I suppose I'm really looking forward to Ender's Game being made into a movie, my mom and I both love the book and can't wait to see what they do with the movie! We'll definitely be harsh critics.
Okay, gotta ask: All time favorite book? What about author? I can't choose a favourite book. That's impossible. Pride and Prejudice is high on the list, but so are all the books in the Night Angel Trilogy! I can't pick which one I like best! As for authors... It's probably a tie between Jane Austen, Brent Weeks and Orson Scott Card.
How many books have you read so far this year? And how many do you hope to read before the year is over? I think I've only read 4 so far, a pathetically small amount for me. By the end of the year I'm hoping to have read at least 50 books.
nihidea:
Is there a book you would say changes your life, and if so, how? Probably The Fire Within by Chris D'Lacey. It was the first real book that I wanted to read, so it basically sparked my love of reading.
Do you have a book shelving system? Not right now! I'm in the middle of organizing my room, so once I get it all cleaned out I'll hopefully have more shelf space!
What do you usually use as bookmarks? I have lots of bookmarks but I usually use receipts to mark my spot! Whatever I have on hand really, sometimes I use Kleenex for a little while because I don't have anything else I can use near me.
What is the thickest/longest book you read? Probably a book from The Inheritance Cycle or The Night Angel Trilogy.
Is there an author of which you have read everything? Unfortunately no. I'm making my way through Brent Weeks' other books (I love him, in case you haven't noticed).
Have you read books in other languages than your native language? I wish! But no, I'm stuck with only English books. I've read books that have been translated into English, but that's it!
How do you mark/remember passages you like in books? Usually, I just remember. I don't mark it. If I liked it, and it made an impact, I almost always remember where it is in the book by what events are happening.
What is your favourite word? Hmm. I'm not sure, I really like to say, "I concur." So I suppose that concur is a favourite of mine!
Do you usually drink something while reading, and if so, what? God no. I wish I could! When I'm reading I don't pay attention to the world around me... If I had a drink I would completely forget about it!
What makes you decide if you’re going to read a book or not? Usually the cover, and the description of the book. Sometimes reviews make me change my mind and give the book a try (I usually read the bad reviews to find out what they didn't like about it, and see if that would bother me or something like that!).
Do you have a comfort book? A book you revert to when you feel bad, when you need comfort, that makes you feel at home? Not really, no. When I re-read books it's usually because I have a specific part in my mind that I need to read again. I love all of my books so whichever one I set my mind on usually makes me feel better.
ifreakinlovebooks:
What’s your top 5 fictional character crush? Hmm, Jace Wayland (Mortal Instruments), Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice), Kylar (Night Angel Trilogy), Ponyboy (The Outsiders) aaand Neville Longbottom (Harry Potter).
What’s your favorite book? I have no idea. I can't choose!
If you could spend a day with an author and have him/her answer all of your questions, who would the author be? Either Brent Weeks or Jane Austen. Not sure who, though maybe Jane Austen would be better, because at least Brent Weeks is alive and I have a chance to meet him.
If you could travel to one place you read about in a book, what would it be? Hogwarts! I grew up with the story, I would feel horrible if I didn't go there!
What was the last book you read? Valkyrie Rising by Ingrid Paulson (I'll be reviewing it soon!)
How many books have you read this year so far? Like, 5. I've been getting sick a lot and couldn't read. Sooo, yeah. Only 5.
How many do you plan on reading? At the very least, 50.
What book are you currently reading? 1984 by George Orwell and The Gypsy Thief by Kellie Bellamy Tayer.
Do you enjoy reading more than one book at a time? Not usually, but sometimes I need to take a break from a book before starting it again.
How many times have you read your favorite book? I don't have one, but I'm sure I've read a few of my books more than 10 times.
Was there ever a book you didn’t expect to like but did? My mom told me to read a book called The Blue Sword. I didn't think I would enjoy it, but it's probably one of my favourites now.
musingaboutbooks:
What genres of books do you like to read? Anything that's different from my mundane everyday life. Mostly Fantasy, Supernatural and Sci-Fi type books!
Do you have any book(s) that you’re ashamed that you like or you consider to be a guilty pleasure? Not at the moment!
Do you like reading book series or single-type books? It really just depends on my mood, sometimes I go for series sometimes I don't. I've mostly read series though, Half the time I don't know it's a series until I reach the end of the book!
Do you like eBooks or paper(or hardback) books? I prefer paper copies of books, but eBooks are perfect for traveling! They both have positives.
Do you order more books online, or do you go to a bookstore regularly? Bookstore! I've actually never ordered a book online. It would be so much easier doing it that way, but if I buy a book I usually start reading it right away; if I ordered it, it would take much to long to get delivered!
Do you have an auto-buy author? (An author that you buy without question) Brent Weeks for sure. He's just so... aslkjsf.
Do you feel that you read more widely than you did previously? No, not really. I've always been open to reading different types of things. I just prefer magic and aliens. If it sounds interesting I'll read it.
Do you typically like it when you find out a series you like is being turned into a movie? Most of the time yeah, and when I'm in the theaters watching it, I annoy all of my friends by pointing out that they left something out or changed it.
Do you find yourself taking on any of the characteristics from characters you read about? Haha, sometimes! After reading New Moon, I was saying, "Sure, sure," like Jacob all the time!
Do you always end up shipping someone in a book? Yes! Even if there's no romance, I'm like, "They should totally get together!"
Do you mind reading books that don’t end in a Happily-Ever-After? I can't read The Fault in Our Stars. I would die. I get too attached to the characters. It doesn't end well, for either of us.
themindofafictionbooklover:
Favorite book/s you read in 2012? I barely read in 2012, unfortunately... Probably a book called The Blue Sword that my mom told me I should try. I loved it!
How much money do you usually spend on books? (in a month?) Ha! I wish I could afford to buy book every month! A lot of the books I read are from the library.
Favorite genres? Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Supernatural.
All time favorite book/s? Blah, I don't know. I can't choose. I guess Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks.
What hogwarts house are you in? If I remember correctly, I'm a Hufflepuff! Which I find pretty damn awesome ;)
Movie adaptation that was nowhere as good as the book? Eragon. Hands down. Totally destroyed, like, everything.
If you could be good friends with 3 characters from any books who would they be and what books are they from? Kylar from The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks, Chloe from The Darkest Powers Trilogy and Lizzy from Pride and Prejudice.
What kind of books do you wish you’d read more? I wish I read more adult books! Not romance, but Fantasy. I'm still getting caught up with all the YA books, so I haven't gotten the chance to read adult books in a looong time.
Do you read adult books or YA more? YA for sure. I don't plan it that way, but that's how things have panned out recently.
Is your love of books a thing that was passed down from a parent or did you just happen to be the only book lover? My mom loves reading. When I was younger I thought it was boring, and my mom was boring, because she like to read. Now I read more than she does!
Favorite author/s? Jane Austen and Brent Weeks!
leave-no-book-behind
What is your favourite genre? Fantasy is my top favourite, but I also love Sci-Fi and Supernatural.
Have you ever tried to write a book? If so, what about? I love writing! I've probably started to write more than 30 books!
What is your favourite book? I can't choose one!
Are you a member of any fandoms? If so, which ones? There are way to many to list!
If you could have any book made into a movie, which one would it be? It would be cool if they actually made The Maze Runner into a movie... It's been sitting still for forever on imdb though, soon hopefully!
Who is your all-time favourite character? Tie between Mr. Darcy and Kylar! I love them both so much.
Have you ever cried while reading books... or watching movies? I cry all the time! I get emotionally attached to characters, which is why I can't read The Fault in Our Stars.
What is your reading goal for this year? What was last years? This year is at least 50 books! Last year I didn't have one, I didn't read much last year either which I hate myself for since I enjoy reading so much.
Do you have a book shelving system? Not yet! I'm in the middle of reorganizing my room right now, so when that's done I'll hopefully have more shelving space.
What do you usually use as bookmarks? Receipts are most common, but really just whatever is closest.
Do you have a favourite author--who you've read every single book of? I wish! I'm making my way there with Brent Weeks, but I think he's the only author that I'm even close to having read all of their books.
goodbadanduglybooks
How old were you when you started reading? I was about 9 or 10.
If any, what books did your parents read to you as a kid? Dr. Seuss! I still have all of the books, haha!
Do you like to read aloud or be read aloud to? Nope. I don't like either. I'm horrible at reading aloud and I read ahead when someone else is reading to me. I'm a horrible audience.
What is your favourite book you read in school? The Catcher in the Rye!
How old is your blog? I think I started it about 2 months ago!
Have you ever thrown a book? Only when I was really young, and didn't know how freaking precious they are.
Do you usually have emotional reactions while reading a book? ALL THE FREAKING TIME. I'm horrible at creating barriers between myself and fictional characters. I cry, smile, laugh, get angry, yell at the characters... I disturb my neighbours.
Can you read in a loud area or do you have to have it quiet? I like reading while music is playing. I don't like absolute quiet but I also don't want people to be screaming while I'm reading. Anywhere between there is fine with me!
What are the three books that have changed you the most? Harry Potter, The Fire Within and The Way of Shadows.
What do your friends think of your reading/blogging habits? Most of them think I'm weird because I'd rather read than get drunk. I think they're weird for wanting to get drunk when they could be reading. We agree to disagree.
Have you ever met an author? No *cries* Someday!
