idk if it's an experience anyone shares but... When I was a kid, I heard "Gimme One Reason" on the radio in the car. I asked my mom who it was, and she told me it was Tracy Chapman. I said "I really like this guy's voice," to which she replied, "Oh, Tracy's not a guy"
