theory progression on what exactly happened between Wukong and Macaque cause literally one frame from s4 ep1 has shaken my world.

Wukong may not have killed Macaque, but he definitely landed a devastating blow that severely weakened him.

Macaque isn't shown dead in the flashback, even though he frequently references his own non figurative death ("ive had a taste of dying..." "kinda on this whole living streak..." his hanfu folded the wrong way, etc)

instead we get this

He's being sealed or restrained by something, but that part isn't important

What's important is this

He's reaching out for help

and Wukong isn't there. Instead his plea is answered by LBD. It may have factored into his immediate abandonment of the skeleton key. He wasn't reaching out for her, he wasn't reaching out for a partner for vengeance, was reaching out for his best friend.

Wukong didn't kill Macaque, but he certainly left him for dead

which somehow feels more devastating.

Just like the rest Saddler is now one of Macaque's cronies was he was resurrected by las Erebus to command the las plagas infected to wipe out more of the darkstalkers but rebelled. The reason why he hasn't killed her because of the amount of power she possessed but also a very dirty little secret he has ever since his rebirth.

Macaque chuckles clapping her hands while her sharp appendages moved her body around to face him.

Saddler's mood had shifted from a calm and intimidating demeanor to desperation and panic upon hearing her what she is going to do with the unknown girl.

Saddler immediately left and Macaque as usual begins her expansion of gongsheng soldiers to scour the wasteland that is metro city and find these survivors who know all about Hsien-Ko's whereabouts as the clock is ticking and the excitement has just begun.

He awoke to loud shuffling, blinking groggily as he slowly sat up. "What the hell?" The words were a soft grumble. But he paused, realizing that something—no, SOMEONE was in front of him.

"Hi there, bud." Wukong said, literally standing above him in his bed. In his hand, he contained a large burlap sack.

"WUKONG WHAT THE F—"

His protests became muffled screeches of fury as he was shoved into the sack, the sage easily swinging it over his shoulder and going on his merry way.

Mission successful.

Macaque and Jaaku from behind are trying to kill each other over the last donut on the box. Macaque is the first of the palettes who is the NE-B Parasite that somehow have a body of her master, Hsien-Ko. Her clothing and color patterns are an oddish burgundy with whitesh white. Her appendages stomp the ground as she's prepare to devour Jaaku and her chi.

" I'm gonna fucking kill you if you touch that last donut. "

Jaaku, the youngest of the palettes is a half horror and half jiangsho created by Jedah as a perfect weapon against Hsien-Ko and all who opposed him long before the T-Erebus outbreak shockingly and her color palettes on her dress are black and red. She's twirling those twisted sickles together as she too is preparing to make the parasite bleed.

" Hsien-Ko may have mercy but I sure as FUCK I don't you fucking amoeba. "

While that's going the bionic clone of the original Hsien-Ko S.I.N.-KO and Junior are just watching the sky above. S.I.N.-KO like Jaaku is a bionic super weapon made by the BSAA to eliminate Hsien-Ko but she went rogue and start her own path. As usual she is among the more docile of the palettes and her palettes are strange, blue on the sleeves and white and hold yellow on the rest of her clothes. Junior had also become a new pallete herself due to age but despite being a teenager now she still have child like innocence and is thinking about fruit.

" I want some fruit... "

" Not safe when those two idiots are killing each other.... "

Everyone was golden to him except Bone King who was blue with the gold in their chest but that's definitely from how his sight works. The golden eyes of truth were also a power Wukong possessed, allowing them to see through illusions and see demonic presence better." So Macaque knew that the kids powers worked different from hers, if he had to make a guess he would say that Alkebu-Ian's sight allowed her to see things in greater detail then the golden eyes.

"Mk is certainly someone special and it's not just from him being able to wield Wukong's old staff. I never was able to find it after everything that happened yet this kid showed up on the mountain one day with staff in hand, saying a note attached to it told him to bring it here. Then there's the fact he's manifesting Wukong's powers too and he acts a lot like Wukong did in the past, wanting to be strong to protect those he cares about. I don't even need vision like you two have to know there's a good chance the kid's not exactly human but with everything happening now it's not a priority to check it out." There was just too many things brought into the mix to have him believe that the kid was human or at the least fully human. Discovering the truth of that however wasn't a priority now, would it be nice to know how Mk had wukong's powers and not knowing they existed till now yes. But it was something he would just have to let sit in the back of his mind until it was possible to tackle it.
