He is charismatic and hot blooded, not to mention socially awkward. 

Background~

Kyo Sohma is a high schooler with the curse of the cat. The Sohma family are cursed with the 12 chinese zodiac and the cat. Those with the curse can't be hugged by the opposite gender (other zodiac members excluded), hold traits that resemble their animal counterpart and can sometimes naturally attract their animals to them. Because he is the estranged cat, he is often left out in family affairs. He was adopted by Kazuma Sohma after the death of his mother and was rejected by his biological father. He grew up being a problem child because of always being teased for his orange hair, his cat-like reactions, and randomly getting surrounded by cats in the school yard. Eventually, Kyo gets placed in Shigure’s home where Yuki and Tohru live as well, and attend the same high school together. After the curse breaks, this is where things can venture. He’s no longer attached to the cat spirit. Maybe he stays with Tohru, maybe he meets someone else?

☆FMA AU;; Kyo is a cat chimera. He is one of the more blessed ones that look relatively normal, but his actions and reactions easily resemble a cat. He doesn’t know alchemy but he has made a living in a small town away from the military, making a living as a general carpenter. Despite his feisty attitude, Kyo secretly loves cooking meals for the people within the town. 

☆OHSHC AU;; depending, we can still play with the cat curse or not, but ultimately, before Kyo’s mom passed away, she had pre-paid for Kyo to attend Ouran Academy such as his father and grandfather before him had. Kyo is asked to join the host club. But decides against it. But who knows, maybe he can be swayed to join?

☆bluedream AU;; this is a drug dealer au. There are major changes in this one, ultimately based on the book The Storyteller by Antonia Michellis. Kyo and Kisa are half siblings in this verse, having the same father but different mothers. In middle school Kyo begins to experiment with weed. Eventually quitting it to sell instead so he can get Kisa out of her current living situation with their dad.

     She’d gone and done it again. Kisa didn’t even remember the moment she’d gotten so worked up she’d transformed into her zodiac form. She’d managed to lock herself into one of the bathroom stalls before it happened but she’d been lucky no one else had been around when she’d made her escape leaving behind the pile of her school uniform. She hadn’t known her way around and she couldn’t bring herself to go home to face her mother. Instead, she’d wandered for hours through the park trying to remain hidden among the foliage from everyone while trying to find her way to the high school. It should’ve been late enough by now they would all be on their way home but if she couldn’t manage to find the school how on earth would she find her way to Shigure’s house?

When he stopped mid-braid, Kisa realized that maybe she shouldn’t have let that plan slip out.  It was just always so easy to tell Haru so many of the things that were on her mind, but she hadn’t wanted to worry him.  While she had been trying hard to be strong and had managed to continue talking, there was still only so much of the teasing she could take from school.  Then there were the cold glares from Akito, who she had no idea when the God would lash out at her again.

The tiger adverted her gaze to try to avoid making eye contact with him.  While she knew he wouldn’t judge her, she didn’t want to cry more.  Still, despite not looking at him, she could still feel the concern and felt the tears begin to escape.

Her plan was initially to run away tomorrow morning on the way to school.  There was nothing further thought out than that.  Just a hasty decision by the girl who wanted to get away, but she didn’t want to hurt anyone by doing that either.  “I...I don’t think I fit in.”  Her voice trembled a bit.  “I keep trying not to let it bother me, but it hurts.”

The statement made Hatsuharu stop mid-braid. Not coming back? From where? As vague as the statement was, it caused his mind to race; for all he knew she could be talking about anything from a restaurant to school. 

Haru dropped his hands from Kisa’s hair and moved so he could see her face.

“What do you mean, Saa-chan? Did something happen?” he asked, his calm tone now weighed down with concern.

Continued from: “If they’re going to make us attend school, the least they could do is let us choose what we want to learn.” For once, he wasn’t just blindly agreeing simply because Kisa said it. He’d never particularly enjoyed school, but his mother always insisted that she wanted Hiro to get a good education, so he could go on to do great things and live a happy life in the future. She was always so vocal about it that Hiro could never quite make himself disagree with her.“Maybe if we get accepted to the same high school, it won’t be quite so tedious.”

Kisa nodded in agreement with the ram.  While she tried hard to understand other’s emotions, she was never quite good at telling when Hiro was simply agreeing with her because it was her saying it.  The few times that she caught on was usually because of someone else pointing it out to her.  

Perhaps if she didn’t have such a hard time making friends at school than maybe she’d like it a bit more.  Unfortunately, it was just like another prison for the girl.  “That’d be great if we got accepted into the same high school!  What high school are you hoping to go too?”  She had made it known a few times that she hoped to attend the same school that Yuki, Kyo, and the others were graduating from.

Unlike some of her cousins, Kisa wasn’t afraid of Hatori or his memory-erasing abilities.  Perhaps it was because she had yet to be impacted by it or because he was a nice person who was like an Uncle to her.  Either way, she had been happy when he had offered to walk her home after her check-up.  

The sudden downpour ended that though.  Perhaps she should’ve paid more attention to the weather, but Hatori handled the situation flawlessly.  Her clothes were barely wet by the time they made it back to her house.  

“Yes~”  The tiger gave a small nod.  “Are you alright?  You look like you got really wet.  Do you want a towel?”

He had just finished his checkup with the young tiger. Glad that everything seemed to be going well and she was doing okay. Since he had the time and it was a nice day outside he had suggested that he walk her back to her house. Certainly not expecting the rain to suddenly DOWNPOUR when the sun was out only a few minutes ago. “Come here.” He said softly as he scooped up the young girl into his arms and placed her under his jacket for cover from the rain as he rushed to make it back to her house so she wouldn’t get too soaked. “Are you ALRIGHT?”

        Kisa’s shoulders slump. She can’t help her emotions. They just occurred. It’s not like she was setting out to feel overwhelming guilt over everything. For quite a few years her classmates had made it their mission to make her feel bad about herself, a mistake. Then she could see the wear on her parents faces as she became more and more closed off to everyone. Even more so when she stopped speaking.

         Then there was Akito. Akito who made it their mission to control the zodiac and constantly put them in their place. The person whose temper you never knew when it would flare. Kisa was on the receiving end more than once, causing her confidence to falter even more.

         Now the young tiger felt guilt over things that weren’t even her fault. She just couldn’t help herself. She wasn’t as strong or sure of herself as her older cousins.

          “Sorry,” she mumbles. She’s trying, she is. She’s just has years of conditioning to overcome. She’s working on it though.

     ​She wasn’t just smiling, Kisa was beaming. Her radiance was nearly impossible to contain within such a small frame and her joy was always as contagious as Tohru’s kindness was healing. “I’m smiling because I’m happy!” As if it needed saying, Kisa professed it anyway as she bounded forward to latch onto Haru’s arm with both hands. “I’m happy because everyone is here; together.” She looked up at him, eyes wide but her smile impossible to dampen as she rested her cheek against his forearm. “What about you Haru? Are you happy too?”

The young girl appeared ashamed.  Everyone was telling her that she needed to start speaking again, but it was something that she was still struggling with.  Kisa was still staying at Shigure’s house with everyone, but her voice had yet to be heard during this stay.  Rather than answering Yuki’s question, Kisa sat silently and hung her head in shame.
