My main physical and visual inspiration for Aldo is TBHC-era Alex Turner as seen here:

I also took inspiration from Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino in general, particularly Four Out Of Five, in that he runs a strange hotel in a strange place. But that's not the only inspiration source I've had to this character. The two other main inspirations I had for Aldo are less about Aldo's appearance and more about who he is:

I don't want to give TOO much away in this post, but Aldo is definitely a likable but troubled and unsavory character.

Danny lived alone in the house he was in. Most would probably wonder why, but he didn't care. He got what he wanted when he put his mind to it and he had wanted the house. Today he was in the garage working on his bike the garage door open. He was humming a tune lightly to himself as he worked. Frowning he couldn't find a tool, leaving the garage he finds it in a toolbox right outside.
