Byleth looked over at him, both eyebrows raised. “Oh I never thought you were cold or heartless,” she said, rolling up the map they were looking over. “Truthfully, I never even felt you were particularly good at hiding that you didn’t care about others.” She told him. “People who want to change an unjust system, so rarely are cold and heartless. If anything they care too much. Care so much about it, that they can’t sit there and do nothing while an unjust system harms people. People they know, people they don’t. And from the start you were never particularly good at hiding that you didn’t like the way the system worked. Hiding your comments as jokes might have been enough to fool others, people who wanted to be fooled, people who didn’t want to have to think about what you said,” she tied the map off. “But not me. I continue to think your hear too big Claude, so I suppose it is a relief to know I am and have always been right.”

Look, I love Edelgard as much as the next simp, but I want more of Byleth who does not forgive Edelgard.

I wanna read about Byleth who is fire-spittingly furious that Edelgard, someone they thought they could trust, is working with the people who murdered their father. In Golden Deer, Claude has to hold them back. In Blue Lions they're just as furious with Dimitri.

I want a Byleth who wants Edelgard dead. A Byleth who is new to emotion and has no idea how to process their grief and rage, and it all boils over like a frothing volcano.

As the player we know Edelgard is also a victim of TWSITD, but for the most part Byleth doesn't.

And even better if they still care about Edelgard! Imagine the drama, the pain, the fucked up dynamics! Byleth still cares deeply about Edelgard, even while they can never forgive and even hate her. A Byleth who wants to kill Edelgard, even as it tears them apart inside to do so.

It is Felix who pries her from the coldness of the ground, and fervently wipes the blood and matter from her cheeks and hair, wrapping her with his cloak. He shields her eyes even as she tries to look back at her father, who had withered into a pained form, freezing with the red covering the blues of his cloak and snow. She watches her mother and Dedue hovering over him and she wants to help badly but Felix doesn’t budge. He carries her back to his horse. — “Were you harmed?” Felix asks immediately once he had set her down at camp. She stares back at his concerned face and shakes her head but that doesn’t convince him. Her ankle still aches and when Felix looks at it, he uses a little of his healing magic to alleviate the ache, before he calls out for a healer. Felix sometimes scared her with how he would talk to her papa, but he had never been anything but kind to her and her brothers. “It’s not your fault,” he scolds just as the thought blooms into her head. “But it is. I turned him into a monster,” she cries. Felix’s jaw hardens, “No. He’s always been one,” he pauses, then an apologetic look washes over him, “but that doesn’t change anything Aurora. He’s a lot of things, but he’s still your father.” “Then am I a monster too?” she asks. A complicated look passes over Felix. Felix had counseled one too many men, but never one as young as this one. 

“No. You’re a child. And it would do you no right to be more than that for now,”

"... sorry about that. are you okay?" with her blade by her side once more, byleth looks this stranger up and down as she pulls a glass vial of sheer blue liquid out of the satchel on her person. it was unclear if they were alright or not, but... it was better to offer the vulnerary in the event they'd gotten hurt. but there was one thing that was certain - it looked like this person wasn't from fodlan at all. nonetheless, the mercenary extends the hand holding the glass vial just in case.

"Yuri, you're hurt. Did that happen when you protected me during our recent battle?" Byleth couldn't help but express concern for the other, it all happened so fast she didn't have the chance to stop it. There was guilt that welled up within her, so she went closer to him.

"Let me tend to your injury. Come."

🐺 — NORMALLY THE PROFESSOR WAS PRETTY QUICK ON HER FEET, always looking out for everyone else and trying her best to make sure nobody got injured, but because of that... she rarely ever looked out for herself. And that was Yuri had made it his job to do so, even if that meant blocking half of the blow with his sword and taking the rest with his shoulder. It wasn't like he hadn't gotten injuries like this before, after all, he was the king of the underworld and that often lead to a lot of shady altercations so this was nothing new. Though, despite that, the professor seemed pretty shaken up by the whole ordeal once she discovered how he'd gotten injured, especially since she took the time to seek him out.

🐺 — "What? This little thing? Hah, it's nothing but a mere scratch." He gives a small shake of his head that's followed by one of his signature laughs, CLEARLY TRYING TO SHRUG OFF THE CONCERN BYLETH PRESENTED FORWARD. She really had nothing to worry about. He was much older than most of the other students within the academy so he knew how to take care of himself, had been doing so from the time he was a child. Yet despite how much he tried to make light of the situation, the look of guilt in her eyes made him exhale softly, removing his hand from the place upon his shoulder to reveal a somewhat mild injury — nothing to be crying over, it merely looked bad due to how much it was bleeding.

🐺 — "You really aren't going to let this go, are you?" HE FIGURED THAT HE MAY AS WELL ASK, never know when you'll be able to wiggle your way out of a situation after all, but he knew she wouldn't budge on this one. She felt like it was her fault, after all. "Yeah... Yeah, alright. Lead the way, professor. I'm sure that I'll be in good hands if you're going to be the one patching me up~." Of course he had to flirt a little bit. He wouldn't be himself if he didn't, that and Byleth may think things are a lot worse than they actually are.

guidelines.

i)  independent, selective, low-activity multimuse blog featuring protagonist muses of various video game media  (  ie.: otoges, etc  )  as explored by Genie (29). activity may be sketchy to writer being a full-time worker. blog is not spoiler free and not safe for those under 18 years old.

ii)  i prefer interactions to start with pre-established relationships to avoid the awkwardness of first meet threads  (  and sometimes the abrupt end of them  ).  i am not great with plotting so i often prefer using memes to jumpstart interactions;  however, i am not completely adverse to it! don't hesitate to come to me if you've got ideas you want to explore!

iii)  i format my posts using small text and sometimes icons of varying sizes;  though i will often forgo the use of icons due to lack of resources. please let me know if the font size is a problem, i'm more than happy to adjust it! don't let how i formate my posts affect how you do yours.

iv)  i have a preference for longer threads so i may sometimes give you text walls  ;  however, you never have to match the length of my replies!

v)  discord is available to mutuals as i sometimes miss direct messages through tumblr's in-built system. don't ask me to join servers, group settings make me anxious.

vi)  all regular roleplay and online etiquette and courtesies apply to this blog and will be observed. do not bring drama or hate to my space. i welcome constructive criticism and appreciate if problematic issues are brought to my attention; however, i will not tolerate hate or drama.

Out of all of your favorite characters, who is the one that you like the most? Like the one you go "I will never stop talking about how much I adore this character"?

Twilight Sparkle (and by extension, MLP:FiM), 100%. ;;v;; she's my ABSOLUTE baby and she will always, ALWAYS have such a special place in my heart. That said, when I get into a character (or muse) I tend to gain a near encyclopedic knowledge about them.... ESPECIALLY if they're near and dear to my heart. Needless to say that when I commit to a character, I commit to that character full-stop. So as of right now, Byleth Eisner (Fire Emblem: Three Houses) and ofc Thor Odinson (MCU canon mostly) are also pretty up there!

But of them all, if I had to choose a SINGULAR one, it will always, ALWAYS be Twilight.

Open Starter: The War Against the League of Evil Muses

Junko Enoshima. Giovanni. Bowser. Dr. Eggman. Darth Vader. Neopolitan. King K. Rool. DJ Octavio. And their leader, Goh Yamashita, a disgraced former scientist as deranged as he is powerful, who has made it his mission to eliminate both his enemies and any chance of failure in his plans! These foul characters roam the multiverse, causing widespread havoc and destruction wherever they go. Their goals and ideologies vary, but their mission remains constant - make life hell for every world in the known multiverse. Together, they are known as the League of Evil Muses. Opposing them are a ragtag group of nine brave characters known as Team Rock - Rick Sanchez, Monika, Homer Simpson, Batman, Byleth Eisner, Captain Falcon, Astolfo, Anzu Fukumoto... and their founder and leader, Raisuke "Rock" Fukumoto. An ordinary person at heart, when push comes to shove, he'll fight tooth and nail to protect his friends, family, and those he cares about... and with his feud and past history of dealing with Goh, is there anyone better suited to dealing with the man and his group of evil muses?

"Raisuke, look out! Bogeys on your six!" Anzu called out, watching as her brother surfed and grinded down the hillside road, pursued relentlessly by both the Flying Krock and the Octobot King!

"I see them, Anze..." Rock was doing everything he can to avoid the cannon fire and... various ink weapons from both mechs. Grinding, jumping from rail to rail, bouncing off walls... eventually, he rolled off his board and booked it, trying to avoid the blasts!

"Got you in my sights!"

"Don't think you can avoid the League forever, you little pest!" Both Octavio and K. Rool continued to rain fire on Rock, as some of his allies swooped in to help!

"Rock, keep running! We'll deal with K. Rool and Octavio!" The Batplane and Rick's UFO, carrying Byleth along with Rick, flew in to take the enemy ships head-on!

"We need to keep some of that fire from getting to him... I think I know what might help!" Byleth fired a Thoron blast at some of the ink missiles being fired from the Octobot, causing them to explode on contact long before getting anywhere near Rock.

"Goouuuurrrr thinking, Byleth!" Rick followed up by firing laser blasts at the cannon fire from both ships, making them explode on contact! Taking advantage of the distraction, Rock used his clawshot to get onboard the Batplane.

"Thanks, guys!"

"Annoying twerp..."

"...Don't thank us yet. This fight's far from over."

   @fellstcr​​ sent---                The gifts had been wrapped in brown wrapping paper and twine, gathered together and topped with a blue ribbon. It was left neatly on the doorstep of 205 with only a letter to mark its recipient. 'To Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd'.

Inside was a dark blue coat, fur-lined and well made, but simple in design. Atop it was a woolen, grey scarf, and a pair of leather gloves eerily reminiscent of the ones he'd once lost in his school days. (and if he looked close enough, he might be able to find the wilted petals of an iris. )

The envelope bore no name, but the scrawl was unmistakably the professor's.

The letter itself read:

Dear Dimitri,

Happy Birthday. 

These gifts are to help you keep warm throughout this winter. Perhaps one day I will be able to make up for the many birthdays of yours I have missed... Until then, I hope these will suffice. At least, as a start.

My door is open to you, always.

       THERE ARE WOUNDS IN HIS EYES, hidden behind every shadow cast upon them. he would weep, if he had any tears left to give, but he mustn’t be so foolish as to let himself become complacent; weak. it is a moment so fleeting that he finds himself lamenting a past that was no longer his. the monastery, his classmates, his house--- those who pledged to him their undying loyalty. he smiled with them once, found something to enjoy in every day... and her. she was there too, guiding him, teaching him to become the best version of himself, and for her, he sought to do the same. 

       as he reads her letter, it speaks in her voice, and the memories come rushing back, despite his best attempts to refuse them. it drowns out the others, and for the first time in a long time, he hears only her.

       how strange, he muses wistfully, that after so long--- all that anger, hatred, and regret, he should feel something... else. it does not demand recompense of him, nor suffering for his mistakes, but... forgiveness. is it for himself? his wilted form shudders, for it hurts far too much. 

       by her name, dimitri grazes a thumb gently over the page, before finally tearing his eye away to note the contents of the package again. he reaches, brushing aside the paper to retrieve... a petal. letting it fall neatly into his palm, he examines it silently. it’s dead, but not gone, and he angles his hand slowly, dropping the petal onto the letter and setting it aside on the table. the prince is vulnerable once more, slumping back into his seat as the ghosts shroud him.

       ... their voices are not as overwhelming as usual.
