“Mi amor, this is not accurate at all. Wh-what is this show even doing?” Carlos groaned, gesturing at the TV screen in exasperation.

You bit back a laugh, snuggling closer to him on the couch. “It’s Teen Wolf, baby. It’s fictional. It doesn’t have to be correct.”

Carlos gave you a side-eye glare, crossing his arms but not making any move to leave. You’d think for someone who constantly complained about the show’s inaccuracies, he’d stop watching. But this was Carlos—he didn’t care for the show, but he did care about you. He would sit through werewolf drama and supernatural nonsense if it meant spending time with you, no matter how ridiculous it got.

“Do you know who you remind me of, mi lobo guapo?” you asked suddenly, glancing up at him with a sly smile.

Carlos turned to you, his brow raised. “Who’s that, mi amor?”

“Scott McCall.”

He tilted his head, clearly puzzled. “Why Scott McCall?”

“Because,” you began, shifting to face him fully, “you both have that strong sense of justice. You both believe in second chances. And you’d do anything for the people you love. Plus…” You grinned, leaning in to kiss his cheek. “You both have that confused puppy look I adore so much.”

Carlos blinked, momentarily stunned. Then, his expression softened, his lips curling into a small smile. He didn’t quite understand your love for Teen Wolf until now. For you, it wasn’t just about the drama or the supernatural—it was because it reminded you of him. And, now that he thought about it, maybe you were right. He was a lot like Scott McCall.

“Hmm,” he mused. “If I’m Scott, then who’s Stiles?”

“Oh, Lando. Obviously,” you said with a laugh. “He’s got the goofy, sarcastic best friend energy down perfectly.”

Carlos chuckled, nodding. “Yeah, that tracks.”

A comfortable silence fell over you both as the episode continued in the background. Then you stood up suddenly, heading to the small counter where you kept your herbs and supplies.

“What are you doing, mi amor?” Carlos asked, watching you curiously.

“Oh, just making a last-minute sleep spell jar for one of the neighbors,” you explained, pulling out jars of dried herbs. “Her daughter’s been sick and having trouble sleeping, so I thought I’d help.”

“That’s sweet, amor. Can I help?”

“Of course. Could you go out to the garden and grab me three small amethyst crystals and some sea salt?”

“Anything for you,” he said, getting up and heading outside.

While he was gone, you took a cleansing stick, lighting it just enough to produce smoke before blowing it out. You swirled the smoke around the glass jar, letting it cleanse any residual energy. Then, you added a layer of dried lavender for calmness and dried rosemary for protection.

When Carlos returned, crystals and salt in hand, you added them to the jar along with a small piece of lepidolite, perfect for soothing anxiety.

“Thank you, mi lobo.” You smiled, gently nudging his shoulder before finishing the jar. You left just enough room for a slip of paper, which the neighbor could use to write down a sleep affirmation and seal the jar with a kiss.

“Carlos,” you said, capping the jar, “would you like to go with me to drop this off?”

“Of course, amor. You never know what kind of freaks are lurking around at night.”

“Oh, you mean like yourself?” you teased, grinning.

Carlos rolled his eyes, but his lips twitched in amusement. “That’s not funny.”

You both laughed as you headed out the door, hand in hand, ready to spread a little magic and kindness.
