Mental gymnastics...

I am flipping out. That's all. Just my brain doing cartwheels and whatever those things are called where you flip between those high bars and let go for a breathless second and then grab onto reality again. Or this...

Too much Olympics these past few weeks I guess... anyway.

WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT! I may or may not mention scenes in detail and their outcomes during these long rambling messy posts beginning with the next sentence.

Before I get into it... kudos to the staff for keeping up with these two and for suffering many extremely anxious moments as Jimin and Jungkook drove themselves through NYC, as Jungkook and then both Jimin and Jungkook rode the motorcycle through traffic, and the few heart stopping moments when JK flipped his kayak over and then they took off down the river alone before staff caught up with them. Not to mention probably looking up the nearest ER/urgent care facility in case Jimin got too dehydrated from his bout with the stomach bug.

Seriously though, their lives and global headlines had to flash before their eyes when JK disappeared underwater under that kayak... so big applause for the staff/production crew for not shitting THEIR pants thirteen times too.

So here are some of my thoughts. I'll begin with the first episode...

Episode 1:

In the opening scene, I'm assuming this is Antoya Korean BBQ restaurant. They were talking about JK's sore throat and that he had to visit a medical facility. Jimin kept on about it. It seemed like JK's "stop babying me" attitude bubbled up a little bit. Let them be them. As you can see, JK adjusted Jimin's beanie so he could see his eyes. They were fine.

Pause and reflect: they didn't know what to expect with this idea of a travel show. The moment above happened on Thursday evening, July 13. Both of them were working. Jimin was still working on his concepts, photos, MV and whatnot, planning to finish everything for Muse in the coming months. Jungkook had a full schedule for promoting Seven which was dropping the next day. He had to get up early for Good Morning America concert in the park.

I'm stating all this for point of reference. Nothing is static. JK was in work mode: he had a performance the next day and also not feeling well himself. Jimin had been on a plane for 14 hours. Just keep these things in mind before jumping to conclusions.

In the next scene (the next day) back at the hotel after JK's done with his performance and when he's packing to go on this trip he's all in and ready to go. Hurry up Jimin!

Jimin asked him how the live performance went. As we know, the GMA live performance was mostly rained out. Before the storm came through, they quickly pre-recorded the performances before it would have been time for the live broadcast and then shut it down. Jungkook had to be driven quickly to the studio to be interviewed to fill the leftover time in the program that more of his live performance would have taken up.

Hearing Jungkook say "this isn't my first rodeo" was never going to be on any bingo card in my lifetime.

I don't know what he was scribbling on that iPad but it looked geometric. He was focused. Maybe it was something for the next week's performance, maybe it was a sketch for music show staging, trying to recreate that flower archway they saw at Antoya the night before? maybe he was doodling in Canva... we don't know.

Me either, Jimin... (this was the first of all the hilarious gems that begin to shower down on us).

They are both known to be perfectionists when it comes to their work. And we know they've also both performed when feeling less than 100% on that stage. Jungkook realized there were circumstances beyond his control and he took it in stride.

FYI, in New York City, they stayed at the Loews Regency on E. 61st Street in Manhattan. It is between Madison Ave. and Park Avenue and not far from Central Park. Swanky. The suite looks like the 2-bedroom "Park Avenue Suite" and runs $2100 a night... gasp. Yes, its the same suite where JK did his live after his rained upon GMA appearance. During this live he mentioned being poked with needles, IV's and shots in the butt as well as teasing us with what would become Are You Sure:

No, I don't think Jimin stayed in this suite with JK. Jimin's room had a smaller bathroom and a shower curtain instead of a glass shower door. Staff with camera woke him up.

To be that beautiful when rolling out of bed... anyway, I digress...

It truly was unplanned and spontaneous as if they were doing this with the idea of "let's try it and see if it can be viable." Even Jimin wasn't sure if any of this could be aired.

Once they got in the Jeep they started to find their groove. Being alone, just them, was what they needed. They could focus on what was ahead of them. The driving moments were some of the best for me.

We eventually learn that Jimin wasn't feeling well and I'm certain this is what Jungkook was telling Yoongi during that episode of Suchwita, along with the elbowing in the nose.

Seems like Jimin's stomach trouble started when they were at the first restaurant, the burger place. The bathroom visits continued at the brewery and into the evening at the campsite.

Jimin had some sort of stomach bug that kept him on the toilet a lot and he ran a little bit of a temp. I am sad that he wasn't feeling 100% when they were on the yacht the next day but he still seemed to enjoy it enough to find the humor in his situation. He was a real trooper.

It sure didn't stop him from eating. My man was very brave in that regard. Me... no way I'd be stuffing my face with a big greasy burger when at any moment I might need to make a run for the toilet.

They get back on the road and these are the moments that I wait for:

After arguing in satoori about who is the worst driver between them, they start shopping at Dick's.

And get recognized...

After shopping excursion at Dick's, they finally head to High Nine Brewery...

Jimin's first sample wasn't to his taste (again). His taste buds were probably a little off since he had the stomach thing going on... but JK's eyebrows say that his sample was pretty good.

They finally settle on a hard seltzer and a pale ale and relax for a little bit. Jungkook is still wondering what would make good subject matter to film. They are truly making it up as they go...

Jimin proceeds to explain and an interaction happens and I am not sure what to think about it:

I am going to end this post here because they are now on their way to the kayaks and that segment deserves its own post and I have too many screen shots of it to fit in this post.

I Can't Run Away

The three times Soonyoung runs from you and the one time you stop him.

This is part of the Three Times series. This one is inspired by this reaction.

One

You and Soonyoung are friends. Or at least you thought you were. You work at the label, albeit upstairs as an office employee, but that didn’t stop you from becoming friends a couple years ago at a company event. Soonyoung is super friendly, so sweet, and has you laughing constantly. You enjoy running into him at work and sometimes go out of your way to visit him. 

This is one of those times. Your day is technically over, but you hear his group’s day is really just getting started. You go to the floor where the practice rooms are and step out of the elevator. There are a few members standing in the hallway - you must have caught them on a break. Woozi and Chan greet you, but Soonyoung looks panicked. He blurts out something along the lines of having forgot something and sprints away. 

You raise an eyebrow as you watch him turn the corner down the hall. You aren’t the only one. The two men next to you look just as confused. “Is he okay?” You ask.

Woozi shrugs, unsure. “I guess?”

Chan looks equally unsure. “I wouldn’t think much of it. Today’s been a long day already. Our nerves are kind of fried.”

You give your sympathy and remind them to eat and rest before heading out. You miss Soonyoung peeking around the corner to see if you’re gone. 

Two

The following week, their manager asks for a copy of the groups’ upcoming schedule. You’re free between meetings at the moment and offer to run it down to the practice room for one of your coworkers. Their manager meets you outside of the practice room and chats with you. They’re going to have to shuffle some things around, he says, and he apologizes for the work that it will cause your department. You brush it off. 

The practice room door bursts open and the group rushes out. You must have caught them on another break. A few members stop to chat with you and their manager, but you don’t miss how Soonyoung zooms past you without glancing at you. Seungcheol is next to you, watching the same thing with a raised eyebrow. 

“Is he okay?” You ask. 

Seungcheol is watching Soonyoung all but sprint around the corner again. “That was kind of weird, wasn’t it?” He muses. 

“Yeah,” you mumble. “He was kind of like that last week too.”

Something lights up in Seungcheol’s face and he’s waving you off. “Don’t worry about it. We’re just so busy right now. He’s probably trying to stay focused.”

“I know,” you offer sympathetically, but there’s a weight on your shoulders when he’s the last to come back into the practice room ten minutes later. He zooms past you again then too without a word. 

Three

The group is hosting a wrap party for their album and you get an invitation. It’s a no brainer to go. Not only is it part of your job in a way, but it’s an opportunity to see Soonyoung. If he’s really just been stressed with comeback preparations, then maybe he’ll be a little more relaxed now that the preparations are done and there’s a little downtime before promotions start. 

He is not relaxed. He's stayed on the total opposite side of the room as you the whole night. It makes you feel a little bit bitter. He’s being his usual friendly self with everyone else and avoiding you like the plague. Normally he’d keep you company at an event like this, but you find yourself next to Jeonghan instead. 

“You’d tell me if I did something wrong, wouldn’t you?” You ask him. 

He snorts out a laugh. “You know I would. I’d never let you live it down.” 

“Great,” you roll your eyes. “Then tell me why Soonyoung is avoiding me like this.” 

Jeonghan chuckles. It’s kind of a scary sound coming from him because you never know what might be coming after it. “Why don’t you go ask him?” You know it’s a dare and he wants to see it for his own entertainment, but it’s starting to sound like your only option. 

You drain your glass and say, “Fine, I will.” 

Half way across the room, you see Soonyoung panic. He’s seen you approach and he’s looking for a way out of the conversation he’s in. You feel like you almost have him when your boss intercepts you. “Y/N, let me introduce you to a friend of mine.”

You’re forced to be polite and greet and chat and twenty minutes later, Soonyoung is nowhere to be found. You huff, finding your spot next to Jeonghan again. He’s smirking irritatingly. “Didn’t go well, did it?” 

You take the glass he hands you and down the drink. “Shut up, Yoon.” 

“Just corner him tomorrow,” he offers, grabbing another drink for you. “We’re all off. Swing by the dorms.” There’s still a chaotic smile on his face but you nod anyway. Desperate times call for desperate measures. 

“Are you going to help me?” 

Jeonghan gives you a wolfish smile. 

Four

Soonyoung screams when he finds you sitting on the couch watching TV the next day. “Y/N?! What are you doing here?” 

“What am I doing here?” You bite, muting the TV. “Cornering you so you’ll actually talk to me.” 

“I talk to you all the time,” he excuses lamely, rubbing the back of his neck. 

“Name a single conversation we’ve had in the last three weeks.” He’s silent and you sigh. “Soonyoung, we’re friends right?”

“Of course,” he cries out. “Why do you ask that?”

“Most friends wouldn’t sprint away from one another. Soonyoung, please just tell me if I did something,” you practically beg. “I’m getting desperate here. Desperate enough to ask for Jeonghan’s help to sneak in.”

“You didn’t do anything wrong,” Soonyoung says weakly. When you just pout at him, he huffs out a sigh, sitting next to you. “It’s stupid. I’m sorry I’ve been avoiding you.”

“It’s not stupid, I’m sure. You know you can tell me anything,” you remind him gently. 

“It is though. You’re my friend first, I shouldn’t let feelings get in the way of that.” 

“Feelings? What kind of feelings?” You ask. He must now realize what he said because his head pops up, eyes wide. 

“Nothing, forget I said anything! Do you want to hang out today?” Soonyoung blurts out, jumping up. “I’ll go get dressed and we can go out to lunch or something.” 

He looks like he’s going to speed down the hallway, but you’re on your feet, holding his face between your hands so he has to look at you, cheeks squishing cutely. “Soonyoung, we can hang out after you tell me what you meant by that.”

“I’m not sure you’ll want to if I tell you,” he mumbles but it doesn’t sound right because his cheeks are still squished. 

“Try me,” you dare, letting go of him. 

He pouts at you. “I like you. I realized it a few weeks ago and now I panic every time I see you. I don’t want to make a fool of myself… but I guess I was kind of doing that anyway with all the running away.”

“For real?” You breathe out. 

“For real.” He’s so serious, unlike how you’ve ever seen him before. “I get if you don’t feel the same, it’s okay, really. I promise I won’t avoid you anymore though.”

You purse your lips, doing your best to still look upset. “Good. I don’t want my boyfriend to avoid me.”

Soonyoung gasps, choking on air. “Boyfriend?!”

“Is that not what you want?” You ask carefully. 

“No, it very much is!” His enthusiasm makes it hard to keep a straight face. 

“What about that lunch date?” You ask. You can’t hold back the giggle as he turns and sprints down the hallway.

“Give me like five minutes!” You can hear drawers slamming open and closed and the shower kicking on in a flurry. 

At least it sounds like he’s coming back to you this time.

I so love it when they can't use their "only Jimin is mentioning JK, JK isn't saying anything he's just minding his own business in the military because he's not a leech & attention seeker" delusional anti card.

But what constantly proves to me that these people are truly sick mentally and actually need serious help is how Jimin is the one who continues to get hate even if JK is the one who mentions him or initiates stuff with him. JJKs especially always give those vibes of miserable women who attack the other woman and tells her "stay away from my man, slut" even though they know very well it's her man who is constantly running after that woman.

The things they'd say about Jimin every time JK mentioned him in his lives, commented about him & stayed up watching him on his TV... Good lord🤦🏾‍♀

Hi Anon! There's a whole circus going on in X after the weverse messages dropped. The sole reason being Jungkook mentioning "Jimin and I ". Thats all it took for them to lose their minds. I'm pretty sure they would be cool with it if it was any other member whom Jungkook had mentioned in the place of Jimin.

You would already know the reason for their despicable behavior. They see what we see. They see how Jungkook behaves in the typical boyfriend/ husband way when it comes to Jimin.

They have seen the RB Ear Suck and that soft peck to Jimin's temple afterwards. They have seen Jungkook strutting around with a HICKEY from Jimin. Refusing to conceal it. Refusing others to touch it. Here, also the exception being Jimin whom he allows to caress it. They have seen Jungkook being protective towards Jimin. From airports to even standing up against his Hyungs ( Poor Yoongi in Run BTS ep 100 😅 )

They have seen Jungkook making sexual jokes with Jimin. They have seen Jungkook get annoyed at fans who were asking Jimin to marry them at an Award Show

They have seen GCF Tokyo. The entire existence of which makes any anti jikooker angry and insecure. They have seen all the other GCFs which followed and realized how Jungkook made sure that Jimin is highlighted in each one

They have heard members complaining how Jungkook gave a bday gift only to Jimin

They have seen and heard about the fan sightings of Jungkook with Jimin OUTSIDE THEIR SCHEDULES OFF CAMERA. Some of them being on romantic holidays

They have heard members saying how Jungkook is always in Jimin and Hoseok's room while they were in the dorm. They have seen this VMINKOOK Live, had their heart shattered after hearing this TMI

They have seen Jungkook's 2023 Lives where he spent hours watching Jimin content, lit up while reading Jimin's messages, asking Jimin to come over, asking if he could go over to Jimin's house, seen him flirting with Jimin while we all third wheeled.

They have seen Jungkook come forward denying the claims of him having a gf. EVERY SINGLE TIME. He even posted this video with the caption " I go the other way ". Posted it, deleted it. Knowing the point has been made

The final blow to them ( for the time being ) Jungkook enlisting with Jimin using companion system

When antis were celebrating Jikook being " distant " during the early months of 2023 Jungkook and Jimin were trying everything in their power to make sure they wouldn't be separated for the coming 18 months.

They have seen how even after Jikook got the confirmation of their applications being accepted and approved they continued traveling together. Wanting to spend as much time TOGETHER, creating memories to look back at while serving in the military ( Jungkook's own words ).

And here comes antis with their worn out trump card " Jungkook was forced ". I just feel like laughing. Cause they sound so childish. Don't they know the man who they claim to love? They do but they ignore it, twist his words and make him look like a company puppet. Cause thats the only way they can justify his actions with Jimin.

Jungkook is forced to interact with someone who he doesn't want to? This is the same man who was told not to get tattoos but got a full sleeve of them. This is the same man who stared down the fans who called him Oppa. The same man who folded his under wears on a live. The same man who fell asleep on his live. The same man who questioned the fans on why he shouldn't release an explicit version of his song.

He was brought up in a way where his parents let him do anything he wanted to. They only corrected him if he did something obviously wrong. This makes him an authentic, sincere person. Not the fickle minded, company puppet they want him to be for their own reasons.

He will never be the person who they want him to be. So, its better if they try to know the real him and love him for who he is.
