Clan: HailClan (ancient HailClan)

Murky was the founding leader of HailClan. They were known to be a cunning trickster, and was a good leader despite their age and frail body. They liked to solve problems through diplomacy and persuasion than through force. HailClan cats often tell of the story of the other clans trying to force them out of the territory for living in an abandoned house as their camp instead of a natural camp. Murky made a bet that all the other clan cats would need HailClan’s help, and after a terrible winter storm, they were right. 

They other Clans sometimes instead refer to Murky as Murkstar or Murkystar in their stories, but HailClan cats don’t think Murky ever took on a warrior or leader’s name.

mudclaw is pretty much the only justified of the 4 villains. he was genuinely cheated out of his leadership by beetlefrost (onewhisker) through maplestar’s friendship. but mudclaw did choose really bad cats to put his trust in. mudclaw’s rebellion is a bigger plot point in my rewrite and not just filler. mudclaw does survive the tree falling on him but he’s very injured. he ends up being heathertail and snowtuft’s father, with turtlethroat as their mother. mudclaw is found on shadowclan territory and returned to windclan to raise his kits, but he is very distant from them

hawkfrost is the assumed mastermind of the whole group. he is the healer of riverclan and wants his sister mothwing to succeed his mother, leopardstar. the clans don’t know his father is tigerstar, but he does, and wants to carry on his fathers legacy of power. he found it easier to trick his grandfather into mentoring him, thus he became a healer. he figured that mudclaw, ashflake, and turtlethroat would be easy cats to manipulate to his goals

turtlethroat is a new character. she’s grew up under brokenstar and tigerstar’s rule and viewed them as being correct in their ideals. she eventually became murkystar’s (blackstar) deputy and found it easy to use hawkfrost and mudclaw’s causes to spread her own ideals. after the rebellion, she feigns regret and is allowed to keep her position, much to everyone’s outrage. however, during po3 she is found to harbor mudclaw in their territory and is exiled

aaand ashflake is my rewrite ashfur. he is also a healer and. overall a hard character to explain. his main goal is to make tigerstar’s bloodline pay for killing his mother and cousins (spottedleaf and foxtail/redtail). he tries to kill tawnyspark (pelt) when they were kits, and isolates brambleclaw from everyone by convincing him that the clan hates him and he’s his only friend. yeah he sucks
