I don't know if it's a Silm hot take so much as like - a fandom hot take? But it's this anyway:

If you can't acknowledge that a character did really shitty things regardless of the reason - really acknowledge it, not just "Yeah that was bad BUT—", I mean actually face up to the fact that a) they did a shitty thing and b) they hurt a lot of innocent people for ultimately very selfish reasons—

If you cannot do that when discussing a character, I don't think you actually understand the character as well as you think you do.

Yes, nearly every character that does evil shit has some tragic flaw or weakness that they failed to overcome, and I'm by no means saying we should ignore the good and/or tragic aspects of a character. Those are the parts that make them compelling and lovable!

But if you can't also acknowledge the worst parts of that character for what they are, I don't think you're actually looking at that character at all - you're just cherry picking lines and moments.

Who has more of a sweet tooth? Diily or Khadgar? And does anyone sneak food to Diily's sabers at all?

Khadgar definitely has more of a sweet tooth. Diily likes some sweet stuff (chocolate) but other than that she’s kinda *shrug* about it unless she’s really hungry. Khadgar however will devour all sweet things.

Dinner can be a plate of mana strudels and a couple mana buns. 

Do people slip the sabers food?

More like who doesn’t?

They’re enormous. Bigger than ligers I’d say if we were going to compare them to big cats from our world. Which for riding sabers i would put em at about 900-1000+ pounds?

My point is a liger can eat up to 100lbs of food in one sitting (not recommended due to them becoming obese but they /can/ if given the chance) but average about 20-30lbs of meat a day.

So given riding sabers are larger and most likely need more (due to constant activity unlike ligers who are in captivity) they probably need…a lot of food. I kind of headcanon like they’re smaller cousins they act like they’re starving even though they just ate a full meal lmao.

She tries to discourage them from begging since its Rude but she’ll share pretty much whatever she’s eating with them 9/10 times (chocolate is all hers though because they can’t have that! She doesn’t mind)

So the biggest culprit is Diily herself!

Then it would have to be her sisters who do the same with their own sabers as well as Diily’s.

Then we have Khadgar who just can’t say no to those pleading eyes. 

Luckily they get constant exercise so all the extra food isn’t that big of a deal. They like to bring Diily kills sometimes and she’ll prepare it/cook it and then share it with them. :) they don’t care if it’s prepared obviously but that’s for her sake.

She makes them special treats a lot. They are quite fond of “bloodsicles” which people seem to find disturbing to her amusement. More disturbing is the fact that she licked it once out of curiosity. It was..eh. Alaluria however seems to like them.

Also she learned the hard way that cutting up tiny dead animals in the middle of Dalaran gets you reported to the guards. (It was for some cubs okay) Smh..culture clashes.

She just shares food with them all the time as long as it’s safe. They need a lot of it after all. They’re her big perpetually hungry babies. They have really strong stomachs for the most part though so there isn’t much they can’t eat. Meat is of course their favorite kind of food. 

They do hunt on their own when left to their own devices and they’ll often bring it back to share with their mama Diily. She brings them food so it’s only fair right?

Training on what is acceptable to hunt and what isn’t is..necessary because she’s had to pay farmers for lost livestock before..oops. Also you don’t want your saber going after someone’s mount or hunter pet. So starting as cubs she starts to teach them that. Although some struggle more with self control than others lmao

In the spirit of Halloween she likes to give them pumpkins to play with (they kinda eat em)

For the OC fact thing: Korraeth is an absolute mess when it comes to desserts and tends to drop things and get his face covered in whatever he's munching because he's enjoying it just that much. It's much to his own embarrassment, too.

Briyanna is a very picky eater, though she cannot resist chocolate, cake, or mana-infused anything.  The last time she was in Suramar, she stocked up on several things, and was found later, covered in crumbs and passed out, glowing purple.She took three days to recover, and couldn’t look her bodyguard in the eye the entire time as he tended her.

I’m an avid cat lover why would you do this to meuh shit this is actually really hard?Hmm..

Probably one thing that really annoys me is people who hate cats because they’re “aggressive” and “angry”. This usually comes from people who have never owned cats. I mean.. Cats are devils, they really are. I’ve had cats most of my life. But they’re devils in the fact that they’re mischievous by nature. They’re little shit heads, absolutely. But to stigmatize them and put them in the category that they’re unlovable because they have so many negative traits is highly unfair.

My last cat was a HUGE BITCH and I loved her. Why? Because when raised right, or showing them some love and compassion in return makes all the difference. I originally got her from my brothers ex-girlfriend and it horrified me when I learned she never heard the cat purr. EVER. It’s so easy to get a cat to purr. Even then, when I got her, she was so evasive and hand shy. It didn’t take much guessing to realize how this ex-girlfriend was raising this cat. It took so much work to get her to come around enough where I could pet her. And when she did, it was like her entire perspective changed and she became this giant love machine despite her bad habits.

She loved swatting my feet whenever I tried to sleep and always tried to steal my food if it was seafood. But she also always sat beside me, she always checked on me from time to time, she always wanted affection. If I was in a bad mood, she would get in my face and meow until I pet her. She’s a huge reason I managed to get my depression and anxiety in check on particularly bad days because despite everything, she was still there and always picked up on these moods.

Before that cat, whenever I still lived with my mom, I had this kitten. He was an energetic furball and even my own mother, who hated any animal that wasn’t her own dog, adored this cat because he was so lively and affectionate. At first, she wanted nothing to do with him but while she was taking care of him for me while I was at work she ended up liking him and was just as upset as I was whenever he died. Which is saying a lot, as I mentioned my mom didn’t care for any other animal except her dog before that point.

Point is, don’t judge them for being tiny demons if you’ve never owned one. This isn’t going towards the people that don’t like cats because of allergies or anything like that, that’s totally understandable, but towards the ones that demonize them just because they think cats are the epitome of evil and aggression and whatever else.

For the ten facts about your characters thing: Hrolf and Lyall (Hope I spelt that right!) please! :D

My boys! This was a good chance to develop them a lil bit. Also I did 20 because there’s two of em ;) 

(1) they’re in a poly/open relationship.

(2) get a huge kick out of running around on all fours like wild animals. seriously. they love letting the “beast” out to play. going hunting with them is a blast. 

(3) Hrolf is the more outgoing one but he has a deathly fear of spiders. It will reduce this 6'6 beefcake werewolf to a whimpering mess. Yes Lyall must smash them

(4) have a fantasy of double teaming Khadgar but wouldn’t do that to Diily. Well unless she okay'ed it of course..hell, she can come too.

(5) so cuddly. Very physically affectionate if the contact is welcome. They’re always touching each other in some way. 

(6) Absolute horndogs but very respectful of people’s boundaries and consent. My boys are good boys. I like to call em my werewolf fratboys with hearts of gold

(7) honestly have little to no preferences when it comes to partners They will love everyone unless given a reason not to. 

(8) very protective of their “pack” which consists of my alliance oc’s. Don’t threaten their pack. Just don’t.

(9) both wanna bang Genn Greymane but Genn finds them VERY irritating. They’re too peppy and playful for him

(10) love each other more than words can describe. They’ve been dating since they were teens. 

(11) both the same age. Hrolf might be older by a few months at the very least.

(12) Hrolf has a brown and white pet rabbit he saved during the destruction of Gilneas. He adores him. His name is Nibbles. 

(13) Very proud of being from Gilneas. Very loyal to their king and the alliance as a whole. Their duty to their king will always come first however. Sorry Anduin.

(14) as beautiful as Darnassus is ..it’s not home. They feel out of place and homesick a lot.  Darn however is where Fae, Hrolf and Lyall met Diily and company. Gaillen was dead/ under the lich king’s thrall under that time and met everyone later on. (And reunited with Fae) I haven quite figured her timeline out yet..it’s confusing. But yeah the point is they all became one big pack of misfits.

(15) are generally friendly to everyone who isn’t aggressive towards them. They tolerate members of the horde if they’re not bothering anyone. However there is one exception. Forsaken. They’re generally very quiet and curt with them if not outright hostile. They do try but it comes through anyway. Hostile forsaken beware. 

(16) both love a good fight and the universe has given them no shortage of enemies so they’re not going to run out anytime soon

(17) are genuinely hurt when people are scared of them but they understand their appearance may be quite frightening to some, especially children. It doesn’t make it hurt any less though.

(18) Lyall loves to garden but it’s hard with his big meaty paws. He was so bummed at first but then someone pointed out he can just switch forms and he was thrilled. His worgen form comes in handy in certain aspects though. It’s much easier to dig holes in his worgen form! Also good for chasing away things trying to eat his veggies he’s so carefully tended too.

(19) they can EAT. Oh god can they EAT. (in both senses of the word) they will devour anything you put in front of them. Hrolf loves to cook and he’s pretty good at it tbh.

(20) GOOFBALLS but they can be serious when the situation calls for it. although they will probably try to lighten the situation when it’s safe to do so. it’s just how they are.

Being a troll, Draggka has a high resistance to poisons, and as such has more of a willingness to put unknown things into her mouth than would otherwise be, well, wise.

This is helpful when finding new sources of food or medicinal plants, but is less useful at not terrifying or grossing Khadgar out. With her pregnancy with Zal’ria, however, Draggka had began to restrain herself from using her body as a massive guinea pig. That and her adventuring in Nazmir is starting to swear it off her pretty damn fast (much to Khadgar’s relief).

Kina made a disappointed face at the question. “No. Not allowed.” She’d always wanted a pet. She always saw little raptors or cubs or various other creatures faithfully waddling behind their masters and she always thought they were so adorable. But, alas, Vel had forbidden animals of any kind in the Hall of the Guardian, and Jasculs said she was too irresponsible to have one... Maybe he had a point but his blunt words were still upsetting. She perked up slightly as she wrote her own question ::
